  1. Knight Gupta Fazon was a calm and calculating man, not one to overreact or let emotions sway him. Still, he was slightly surprised to find that the new Knight he was meeting was of a species he had only read about. There had long been records that there was an ethnic Sith among the Sith Order, but he had only recently heard rumors that one had joined the Jedi. Apparently those rumors were true, because there was no sense of darkness coming from this young man, and his authorization code as well as that of his ship checked out. It was theoretically possible that he was a Sith infiltrator, but the Jedi didn't operate on racial suspicion alone. There were plenty of Duros among the Sith Empire, he wouldn't want himself always questioned. "Lieutenant Sadow," Fazon said clinically, "It is not for one such as myself to question your status or place in the Order. Whether you are a Knight or not is more up to yourself than any other. If you feel yourself worthy of such a title and honor, then you likely are. If not, then that is something that you must determine on your own. "Until then, I can only validate your military title and confirm that you are indeed a naval lieutenant. You clearly can fly a fighter so you may elect to attach yourself to a squadron and fly in battle. As a Jedi, you could also join with whatever assault force that will be attacking the station to rescue the Empress. Commodore Neldis is a wise man: did not give me a preference of where you are to be assigned because he knows Jedi go where they are best rather than into a mold." * * * * * * * With the last stragglers boarding their assigned ships, the ships comprising of Jedi Fleet Group Two formed up and made the jump into hyperspace. ((anyone who wishes to be part of the fleet has until battle commences at Black Sun Station to show up there and will be assumed as part of this jump))
  2. The deck officer on the Justice's Mandate received many messages from various ships trying to gain access to the Nebula class-Star Destroyer. Most were simply supply shuttles or ships ferrying up crew from shore leave. On occasion, there was something a tad bit more interesting that came his way. There were a few members of the Jedi Order on board, mostly Padawans and a Knight or two. This was one he hadn't heard of before, so he did a quick check of their records. There wasn't anything about a Knight by that name, but there was something about a naval commission assigned from Felucia attached to this name and ship. Those codes were checking out, but just in case, he sent a quick message to one of the Jedi on board that one of their Order was landing. Permission was given to Mjan to land, and a male Duros Jedi Knight named Gupta Fazon was there to meet him.
  3. Above Borleias, the rest of the ships that composed of Jedi Fleet Group Two began to power up their engines and do last minute checks on all systems. They had received orders to join the rest of the Jedi fleet outside Black Sun Station. A message was sent out to select Jedi still on Borleias who would be best suited for combat and the recovery of the hostage Empress. All Jedi were given one hour to join the fleet or be left behind. Among those Jedi who were sent a message were Masters Draygo and Gloth.
  4. A full holomessage came through to the Ara-Lai for Sandy from Grandmaster Alluyen. Just in case, a voice only version was sent to her comms. "Knight Sarna, I am very proud of your work on Chandrila, but your work is not yet complete. I truly hate to place this weight upon your shoulders, but the Jedi Order needs you once more. We have located a substantial Black Sun fleet protecting the station holding Empress Zinthos. I am therefore forced to summon the entirety of Jedi forces so that we, along with our allies, may be able to take this opportunity to rescue the Empress, crush our nemesis, and deny the Sith some of their allies. I need you to gather whatever Imperial allies you can and come to these coordinates as soon as you can. We can't risk the fleet departing or them finally tiring of the Empress and executing her."
  5. A light hour away from where Dark Sun Station was hovering, a series of flashes interrupted the blackness of space. A half dozen or so Jedi ships emerged from hyperspace and reoriented themselves around the large MC90 cruiser. Adenna was on the bridge with Admiral Antilles as the streaks of hyperspace coalesced into small points of light. As soon as the fleet reverted, the bridge erupted into a dull roar as various officers began coordinating among each other with short range comms. The officers were nervous, excited, and full of anticipation mixed with a bit of dread that Adenna had become very accustomed to being around in all of the ships and squads facing apparent combat. It was a sense that she had grown to appreciate and enjoy because it kept her on edge and finely honed. Scouts in stealth ships were deployed and made a micro-jump to get a closer look at the station before the rest of the fleet went in. It didn't take long for them to realize that their hopes for catching the station unguarded were wistful. As soon as word reached the fleet that a large Black Sun force was there, the mood on the bridge began to change to one of apprehension. Even if their Imperial Remnant allies were able to arrive in sizable numbers, this would still be a large battle and many would inevitably die. It did't take long for Adenna to realize that they would have to bring even more ships than expected. She had hoped to catch the station without defenses, but that clearly wasn't going to happen. Now, instead of having a second fleet to enact the second part of the grand strategy she and the other officers had formulated, she would need to summon those ships as well to join the fight here. "Contact Commodore Neldis," she said. "Inform him that he is to bring his entire task force to join us here. We will need far more ships than originally planned. Perhaps, if the Force wills it, we will be able to trap and crush the Black Sun's forces before their Sith masters can rescue them."
  6. When everything was ready, the engines on half of the Jedi fleet began to glow brighter as the ships edged forward. Millions of tons of durasteel accelerated away from the planet and cluster of civilian ships that might get in their way. As soon as they were out of the planet's gravity well, the ships aligned themselves on a new course, one that would allow them to make the first jump into hyperspace to their new goal. Adenna stood on the bridge of the Adi-Wan in her favored blue robes, patiently watching the hushed commotion of the crew preparing for their jump. It would take a day and a half in hyperspace to reach Dark Sun Station, and when they did, there would be a reckoning. Though some of the Jedi she was now in charge of leading were less than pleased with the path they were now taking, she believed it was necessary. There were times when less than gentle methods were needed to rectify injustices and diminish evil. She knew that such actions left a dark mark, but that was a burden she would have to shoulder. She did it in Thalassia, she would do it again on a larger scale. Those few Jedi who were willing to shoulder that burden with her were all aware of what they were doing and choose to accept that responsibility so that the innocent wouldn't have to. Admiral Antilles sat beside her in his chair with steepled hands, for all outward appearances the picture of calm and control. Only that she had access to the Force was Adenna able to sense his nervousness. He was a man who signed up under the old Jedi ways because he was tired of fighting the traditional way. Though he understood the necessity of what they were doing, he was still reluctant to enter another war like times of old. He much preferred to be the peacemaker and travel the path of non-violence where possible, but such times were long over. War was here and it was time to fight. Once every ship in Jedi Fleet Group One confirmed final readiness, the order was issued to make the jump to hyperspace. Stars streaked like falling rain for a split second, then the hazy swirl of hyperspace enveloped the fleet as they finally set out to business. ___________ ((Jedi Fleet Group One consisting of the Adi-Wan, Solari, Jar-Kai, Shii-Cho, Crystal Heart, and Ataru leave for Dark Sun Station to rescue Empress Zinthos. Any Imperial Remnant or GA allies wishing to join should post as such.))
  7. Even as a small flotilla of ships left the assembled Jedi fleet to rush to the aid of Chandrilla, a large, new ship joined the fleet. The Justice's Mandate, a Nebula-class Star Destroyer was outfitted with modern, state of the art weapons of war for a new era in the Jedi chapter. Though not technically a ship of the Jedi Order, her commanding officer, Commodore Neldis was here to follow the Grandmaster in the fight against the Sith and now Mandalorians. Though he respected the Jedi, he wasn't one. He had been in the New Republic and later the GA for a short time before retiring. The recent war brought him back out of retirement and put in command of a Jedi affiliated capital ship constructed on Felucia with funds and resources from several pro-Jedi planets. Most of his crew were either local planetary defense officers or former New Republic veterans. On the Adi-Wan, Adenna was still working towards organizing the Jedi and getting used to her new role. It was difficult as there was so much more going on than she was used to dealing with, but she was getting the hang of it. She had been slightly waiting on the arrival of the Justice's Mandate as Admiral Antilles had made it clear how valuable having a second ship of the line would be in splitting the Jedi fleet into two useful components. Several potential options had presented themselves to her and she was still trying to decide the best possible route to take. The military commanders were fairly adamant about waging a traditional war along the traditional rules and standards. While Adenna definitely sympathized with them, she knew that she also had to represent more than just the status quo and that the Jedi weren't just another military force. The Jedi had to fight to certain standards and that sometimes limited themselves from being able to do what other military forces could. With things rapidly escalating in the Galaxy, it was clear to her that she needed to decide just how involved the Force using Jedi would be in the prosecution of this war. Could she justify reigning in the military commanders to fighting a restrained war even if it meant opportunities, battles, and planets were lost that could have otherwise been won? Or, would it be just as bad to unleash them and partake in the violence and carnage of war hoping that the ends justified the blood filled means? Could she stand back and allow the military commanders to wage their war without directly involving the Jedi, or did that still make the Jedi just as culpable even if it was blasters instead of lightsabers doing the killing? Despite it all, there was one area in which she felt completely comfortable and confident in pursuing: rescuing Empress Zinthos. The surviving members of the Remnant had been regrouping here for some time, but now were getting restless. They needed to take action, and with their ships and some of her own, she was confident that they could carry off a rescue. If they couldn't bring the Empress out of captivity into safety, they could at least give her an honorable end to her suffering and deny the enemy a trophy. Adenna sent a series of messages out to the gathered fleets. To the Jedi fleets, she divided them into Fleet Group One with the Adi-Wan at the center and Fleet Group Two with the Justice's Mandate at the helm. Both would have different tasks in front of them. To those ships gathered here but not under her command, she made it known that she intended on going after the Empress within the day and that any ships that wished to join the mission should form up with Fleet Group One. She figured the Imperials would join, but wasn't sure how many of the GA's fleet would join up. Some of them may still wish to remain on Borleias as the rest of the refugees disbursed. Either way, she aimed to head out and take the fight to the enemy and hopefully throw them off balance long enough to slow their advance.
  8. Ordered constructed after the massive Sith assault on Kuat, the angled red and off white Nebula class Star Destroyer Justice's Mandate was finally complete. After completing several test flights and two mock combat drills, its master, Commodore Lendran Neldis, deemed the new ship finally ready for action. With the realization that true war was now upon them, there were no attempts made to make this vessel anything less than a warship. Its weapons were not inhibited, its fighters were the latest, most advanced available from its XJ7-wings to its B-wing bombers and the quick strike E7-wings. The ship wasn't as large or intimidating as the Imperial II Star Destroyers, but they packed similar firepower. With the change in purpose, the naming scheme of Jedi capital ships changed from venerating its heroes to espousing virtues and goals. Once all troops and supplies loaded on board, its engines flared and it left port escorted by a small swarm of its starfighters. As soon as they cleared orbit, the fighters docked and the capital ship made its jump to hyperspace destined for Borleias to join the main Jedi fleet.
  9. There was always a complication to everything. Adenna nodded in acknowledgment to what the Imperial had said, but didn't immediately reply. She despised business and politics, but in her new role, she couldn't afford to ignore how crucial those were to how the Galaxy flowed. Now, more than ever, she wished Tobias was here. Despite his protests, he had a far better mind for business and manipulating things. "How much control over the station does Black Sun have?" she asked. She needed more information before she could even begin to formulate a plan. "Is it entirely under their control, or does it attempt to make some semblance of neutrality? I need to know if it is inhabited only by our foes, or if it is a neutral party with families and civilians."
  10. Adenna was glad to hear that the Imperials had located their empress, but it didn't take any use of the Force to sense that the Dark Sun Station wasn't likely going to be an easy or fun target. She had never been one to feel shame in asking when she didn't know something. Nobody was omniscient, and her recent ascension to this position had meant she had a great deal of intel to catch up on. It was always a stress balancing the needs of a mostly spiritual order with the secular needs. She wasn't sure how other grandmasters had done it, but she would do what she could. "I am unfamiliar with Dark Sun Station," she said simply. "I had not expected her to be kept in anything less than a highly secure location. What intel do you have about this, and what makes it more difficult than any other place to infiltrate or liberate her?"
  11. A lieutenant saluted their new arrival and responded, "Admiral Pilon, though I wish it were under better circumstances, we have been eagerly waiting your arrival. I am here to take you to Admiral Antilles and Grandmaster Alluyen in the briefing room." He took the Imperial officer deeper into the cruiser to a modest briefing room that was wrapped around a large holoprojector that was currently projecting the Galactic map displaying tactical and political information. The room had only five people in it: Antilles, Alluyen, two tech officers, and a Jedi Knight. Once the Imperial admiral entered, his previous escort saluted once more but did not enter the room as the door closed. Adenna looked up from the map and smiled slightly. "Admiral Pilon," she said in a quick, business like tone. "It is good to see you here. This is Admiral Antilles, currently in command of the Jedi Order's allied naval forces. On behalf of the Jedi Order, I wanted to extend our hand in an alliance against the Sith and their allies."
  12. Admiral Antilles on board the MC-90 Adi-Wan was quickly notified of the Imperial Remnant shuttle that had come into the system and made contact. With an eyebrow arched in curiosity, he gave authorization for the ship to dock. He was interested in seeing what the Imperials were here for and what news they brought of the Remnant. _______________________ There was a definite tingle down her spine as Adenna heard Master Draygo's words. She didn't like the idea, especially since there was no consensus, and no mandate from the Order. She glanced briefly at the young man with Master Draygo, but knew that he wouldn't be offering any sort of way out. With a sigh, she admitted, "I am working on coordinating the response, but that doesn't mean I can lead the Jedi Order. Perhaps if more Jedi were reached and gathered to give their approval, but I am not sure that, even in the absence of the Council, anyone can truly just assume the mantle of Grandmaster." It was a delaying tactic, one that might give them time for someone more qualified to step forward. At the least, if more and more Jedi were to come to the same insane conclusion that Master Draygo had, then at least it may make a little more sense. "Until then, if you are not wanting to take command of those gathered here, I will do so."
  13. Adenna took a physical step back in surprise at the notion that she could lead the Jedi. At first, she was wondering if Master Draygo was teasing or testing her, but when there was no laugh from the senior Master, she began to realize that the suggestion was not a jest. Her eyes darted back and forth rapidly as she processed the absurdity of that and quickly shook her head. "I-I have led operations and soldiers before, but nothing like the Jedi Order. I fought against slavers and criminals, not the Sith Empire. There have to be Jedi who are more qualified than I am, I am not even a Master, I don't think anyone would recognize someone like me as being any leader of the Jedi." As soon as the words were out of her mouth, she did begin to realize that, in some small way, those statements didn't exactly hold up too much weight. Even as a freshly minted Knight, there were others who were willing to follow her to attack the Sith Temple on Coruscant. Before that, as a Padawan, she stirred a combined arms force to liberate her home of Thalassia. And there were some now answering her general call to take action in the current situation. Still, it was a far cry from working together to stand against the Darkness and recognizing her as the Grandmaster, especially as a mere Knight. It just belied logic to her brain, and shocked her to the core. In moving the Jedi fleet to Borleias, she had been simply setting up the stage to take action while she found someone with sufficient authority to take charge. The fact that there didn't seem to be anyone left to take charge was a heavy blow to her, but to think that she could be the one that she was looking for was crazy. She understood the truth of what Master Draygo was saying about stepping up, but she simply wasn't sure that she could ever simply assume a title as sacred as the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order.
  14. While Adenna waited for Master Draygo, she reached out into the Force to get a sense of her surroundings. There was so much changing in the Galaxy and the Jedi had to be ready for it before things were all lost. While she was focused on what the Force was telling her, a strangely familiar presence entered her perception. She struggled a moment to remember the odd Jedi she met long ago on Gala when both were starting their journey as Jedi. The melodical voice that filled her head was odd, strangely structured, and with even stranger meanings when she pieced it together. Then, without pause or opportunity to respond, Trushaun left and faded away. Adenna came out of her light trance and looked at both ends of the corridor, but didn't see the feathered Jedi. Part of her wondered if the Fond had even been there at all, or if that was something she sensed through the Force. She was left with a peculiar sensation, one of comfort and yet, a strange pressure as if a bubble had been forming and was about to burst. Shaking her head to clear it, Adenna made a mental note to track down Trushaun and see what she was up to. It had been years since they had spoken, but she had always liked the odd Fond and would like to find out where the Force had taken her. Adenna's own journey hadn't exactly been full of pleasant things, but there were worse paths she could have taken. At least now, she had rid herself of the constant threat of insanity and had found a man to love and who loved her back. The door she had been standing by opened and she heard her name called. Entering into the medical chamber, she noted that Master Draygo was recovering quite well, though still had some work to go. She hoped that her treatment of nanites helped and would continue to help. The news that the Grandmaster was stepping down was a blow to her. She had not always agreed with Darex, but she respected him as a leader. To lose his leadership now was devastating, especially with the Council dissolved. She had truly hoped to rally them and get support for taking action, but without leadership, that would be difficult. She agreed with Master Draygo that leadership was needed, but then was saddened when she claimed it wouldn't be her. Adenna's mind raced as she struggled to figure out who might serve well as the Jedi's leadership. She immediately thought of Vos, but realized that while he was a good leader, he was also a divisive member of the Order that many wouldn't trust. It was a shame, because the Jedi could use someone who was so skilled at building up a network of contacts and was able to fight as well. His work with Sandy and the other Padawans showed he was also good at teaching, even if he didn't see himself as such. Other names of Jedi who could lead ran through her mind, but she wasn't sure how many of them were even alive after the recent battles over Onderon and Coruscant. The Jedi were scattered now and definitely needed to be rallied. She also thought of Knight Cadan. She was a woman who had led troops and fought in war, so perhaps she would be suitable to lead the Jedi as well. "I understand," she said after several long moments. "We need to find someone who can lead the Jedi and bring us back together. There are many who would do well, but I do not know where they are or if they are even alive. Do you have any idea where to start looking for some of the other Masters?"
  15. ((Note: as of this moment, Adenna doesn't know about Darex or the Council. As far as I know, his resignation was IC'ly only sent to the Council and was not broadly known.)) Adenna shrugged at the question. "I will take what we can get. Long term, we need to remain close to the GA fleets and leadership, but short term, we need intel. Depending on what we need to do, ships aren't bad, either. If you can, please get into contact with whatever GA forces you can. I am going to go and see Master Draygo and see if she can get in touch with the Grandmaster." With a bow to Aira and a nod to Mjan, she left the bridge and headed out to where she could feel the injured Jedi Master. When she arrived, she realized that Armiena was having a fairly personal conversation with someone she presumed was her Padawan and, feeling slightly guilty, elected to wait outside in the corridor rather than to interrupt. She understood the importance of those things and didn't want to intrude upon them.
  16. Adenna nodded in response to Mjan's comment. "I agree, and have already sent messages to them. Unfortunately, with the fall of Kuat, it seems that much of their leadership has been put into disarray. I haven't received any response. I was planning on sending Knight Sarna in person there to find someone in charge and link them with us." She didn't think Sandy would mind, and in truth, figured the woman would relish the opportunity to do what she had already wanted to do. "We also really need to get in touch with someone in GA leadership. Knight Cadan, do you know anyone whom you can get in touch with that can speak with any authority for the GA's forces?"
  17. Adenna had thought of that situation, as had some of the captains she had spoken to during some hypothetical scenarios during their trip to Borleias. She kept her comments about the previous Onderon expedition to herself. "If she is on Onderon, then we aren't going in with a fleet, but rather with a stealth team. Generally, I suspect that it would be best not to try to use a fleet to force our way into the rescue. The Sith would quickly kill her if they knew we were trying to rescue her. Instead, I think a team going in and freeing her would be more likely to succeed. Then, the fleet could be used to offer a cover and help pick them up if need be. I do hope she isn't on Onderon, but even if she is, we will try to get her out either by stealth or subterfuge. "As for finding her, I am hoping that the Imperials would also have something. They are likely even more determined to find her than we might be."
  18. Adenna smiled as Sandy came in. As she suspected, the younger woman was excited to return to the Remnant. As slightly concerning as that fact was, she was willing to work with it as long as the Empire remained allies and hoped that Sandy would remember she was a Jedi, not an Imperial soldier. For now, she wouldn't press the issue and prayed that Sandy would never be forced to choose between the two. "Yes, I aim to go and find their Empress and free her, or if she has been killed, to mete out justice to her murderers. I never wanted to ignore them or cause you to do the same: it was always my intention to help any who would fight the Sith's evil. I just wanted to make sure you were able to more properly assist them instead of just showing up alone." As other responses and offers flowed in from around the assembled Jedi fleet and in other places, she was kept busy answering and coordinating. So far, nobody from the Remnant had responded, but that was likely because they were dealing with their own issues or simply didn't know or trust her. She didn't blame them after the cautious reception she and the Jedi Council had given them the first time they approached with an offer of alliance. Hopefully, saving their Empress would prove to them her sincerity in helping. She was also glad to sense the somewhat familiar presence of Knight Cadan. It had been some time since she had met the other Jedi and she was truly glad when she too offered to join in. Maybe now with three Knights supporting the cause, the Council would be more willing to support them and offer even more resources to make this really happen. Adenna bowed in return and answered warmly, "Welcome to the team, both of you. I hope we manage to get official support for this mission, but even if we don't, I feel that it is the right thing to do. The Jedi and myself have not always agreed with the Empire in the past, I have even fought against them. However, if they are truly willing to stand with us against the greater evil of the Sith, then we should accept their help. I can't think of a better way to show support than rallying to free their leader. "I am still waiting to see what sorts of resources we may have and to hear back from the Council and the Grandmaster. With their support, we can start gathering intelligence and hopefully find where she is being held. Once we know, we can start figuring on a rescue plan. If my memory is correct, you also served closely with the Galactic Alliance. Do you think you can use any of your contacts to gather support from them?"
  19. The situation on Coruscant was tragic, but at the moment, Adenna didn't know if there was anything that could be done. Part of her considered rallying and retaking the planet, but she didn't have the authority and wasn't sure that there were enough ships to properly do so. Many of the Jedi ships she brought weren't warships, but would possibly only get in the way if they were taken, and the incoming ships were damaged and their crews stressed already. Besides, she didn't fully know the situation over the capital planet. Mandalorian ships might be more numerous than those that could be brought against them. Alas, as Captain Cilghal mentioned, the ships here weren't warships and she understood that. There were too many things that could be done, but weren't. The Jedi were in sorry shape, and so was the Galactic Alliance, it seemed. There would need to be a lot of work done in order to get them back into fighting shape, but that was only if they had the right leadership. She hadn't heard from Grandmaster Trevelian hadn't been heard from in a while and that greatly concerned Adenna. How were they to stay together if they didn't have leadership. "Something needs to be done," she said mostly to herself, but also to Captain Cilghal. Though she didn't think running off to help the Imperial Remnant was the answer like Sandy wanted to do, she had to admit that they were the most militarily organized of their allies. Despite that, they had been crushed at Kuat. Even then, there had to be some Imperial officers and leaders who escaped. With them, perhaps the Jedi and the GA allies could use their expertise to rebuild their fleets and make them more organized and capable of standing their own. There were some reports that, rather than being killed, the Imperial leader had been captured. If so, perhaps she could be rescued and offer help. After all, the Remnant had come to the Jedi once before with an offer of an alliance. The Jedi at the time, including herself, had been too leery of the past to accept. Perhaps now with the situation they were in, it was time to reconsider. Their alliances needed leadership, and so far, Empress Raven had offered it. They also needed a victory, something to boost morale after their string of defeats. Adenna pulled out her commlink and sent a message to her former apprentice. "Sandy, after considering our options, I think you might have been onto something. We could benefit from helping the Imperials, but we aren't going to go in unprepared. I am going to send out a request to see what sort of support we can get to go on a rescue mission to free Empress Zinthos. I figure you would want to join, but I didn't want to volunteer you." After sending that, she worked with Captain Cilghal and formed a new message and sent it to all of the Jedi, Survivor's Foundation, Imperial Remnant, and Galactic Alliance contacts they could come up with. "This is Jedi Knight Adenna Alluyen to all who value the Light and who resist the rapidly encroaching Darkness that is threatening our Galaxy. We have stood by too long and allowed evil in our Galaxy to fester and grow, but no more. I aim to stop its expansion and drive the Sith, the Black Sun, and the Mandalorians back. The Imperial Remnant has suffered a grievous defeat over Kuat and the Galactic Alliance has lost Coruscant. We can't do anything about that at this moment, but we can rally to strike back at Evil. Rumor has it that Empress Zinthos has been captured by the Sith and Black Sun forces over Kuat. I aim to form a task force of all who are willing to fight back with the purpose of rescuing her and dealing whatever blow we can against those who are holding her captive. "I know many of you have no allegiance to the Imperial Remnant and may question why I would wish to risk my life to free their leader. To those, I say this: we need to work together as allies and build our strength as one rather than separately. Already, we have tried to fight alone and failed. We need each other, and that includes all who might take up the cause: Jedi, Republic, or Empire. Rescuing the Empress is but the first step, and it will return to us a strong leader while denying our enemy a trophy. "I know I have no true authority or right of command over any of you, so I cannot make anyone join me. Any who do wish to stand up against our enemies should do so of their own volition because they want to fight this Evil. If anyone who has authority wishes to actually take the fight to our enemy, I will happily follow them, but until then, I will not sit still or idle as Darkness overruns our homes and kills the innocent people of this Galaxy. Any who wish to join me should come to Borleias where I will be waiting. Anyone with the will to fight and a love of the Light is welcome, but I warn you: this will not be easy. If nobody answers my call, I will go alone and fight to free her, but I have faith that there are still some who will stand up and answer my call. We could very well lose our lives, but I would rather die fighting than cower waiting to be executed." When the message was sent out, all that was left was to see if anyone would answer the call. She hoped the Jedi fleet here would join her, but she would let them make up their own minds and join or not. Hopefully, this would stir someone with authority from somewhere who could really rally the people because she doubted anyone would follow her. Maybe she should have brought Tobias: he was a man who knew how to get things done. She really hoped that some of the Jedi Masters would heed her call and come to take charge, that or some of the Galactic Alliance admiralty. She meant what she said, though: if nobody answered, she would head out alone to do what she could to stop this evil. It was time to stand up and fight.
  20. After tending to those that they could, Adenna was relieved to see the large shape of the Sanare appear on scanners. She wasn't sure if any other of the GA ships had managed to escape, but at least one got out. More importantly, she could sense the presence of other Jedi on the ship. After the Victory class star destroyer settled into orbit, she requested and obtained permission to come on board. During the shuttle ride, she wondered what was going to happen to the Jedi Order and how they were going to come up with a way to stop the onslaught. Something needed to be done. There was almost nothing worse than what was happening now, and if the Sith or Mandalorians continued their advance, things would only get worse. She arrived upon the Sanare and was greeted by some ship officers and a Padawan. The Padawan quickly informed her of Master Draygo's condition on the way to the medical bays where she was healing. Adenna's brows were furrowed as they entered the room where one of the Jedi's leaders was in a bacta tank. There was a Gotal whom Adenna could only vaguely recall was one of the Order's best healers, and then the battered and beaten body of Master Draygo. It didn't take anyone with medical experience to see how badly she had been injured, including missing a good portion of her arm. Adenna consulted with the Gotal who introduced himself as Master Gloth, and got the rundown of his patient's condition. The body would heal of its abrasions and internal bruising, but what had Adenna most concerned was the nerve damage. Bacta was good at a lot of things, but it wasn't nearly as good at nerve damage as someone using the Force. Even then, that amount of energy would drain many people and take a great deal of time. Fortunately, Adenna had something a little better that could greatly help Master Draygo. Adenna approached the bacta tank and, using the comms, said, "Master Draygo, I am Adenna Alluyen. Your doctor tells me you have some residual nerve damage that will take a great deal of time to heal on your own. With your permission, I would like to offer my own assistance. Several years ago, I engaged the Sith Jidai Geki on Coruscant, and later had some interactions with him before he was locked away for eternity. He infected me with some of the nanites that helped control his degenerative madness during that time. After some learning, I too have learned how to use them to heal and repair damage, even nerve damage. If you would permit me, I would like to introduce them into your body to repair the damage. When that damage is done, they will become inert and break down, so there will be no residual affects." When the Jedi Master nodded her consent, Adenna began to prepare. Even though she was more or less able to use the nanites in her body, to repurpose them to be introduced into another person required some focus and meditation. While she did this, she remained sitting in front of the bacta tank with her legs crossed. After half an hour or so, her eyes opened and she silently climbed up to the top of the tank and opened the hatch. After rolling up one sleeve, she carefully reached into the bacta and placed her hand on Master Draygo's head. Despite the bacta consuming some of them, through this contact, she was able to transfer nanites drawn to her skin and, with a bit of the Force, guide them in through the pores on her patient's head and eventually into the bloodstream. With that task complete, Adenna removed her hand, carefully allowed as much bacta to drip back into the tank, and then went to wash off the rest. "It will take some days to fully repair your nerves, but you should begin to feel the affects in an hour or two. You may feel a slight buzz in the back of your mind if you focus the Force into your body. Ignore it, for that is just the nanites communicating with themselves through your neural network. It will fade away when they are finished and should provide no more distraction to you than a fan in the background of a room." With that task complete, there really wasn't much for her to do at this point. She inclined her head in deference to the two masters and left the medical ward to head to the bridge. She wanted to know whatever information could be gathered from the officers there.
  21. A dozen ships of the Jedi fleet reverted from hyperspace over Borleias. In an abundance of caution, they emerged an hour sublight speed away from the planet to avoid any traffic coming in from Coruscant. The normally fairly quiet planet was bustling with refugee ships, damaged crafts, and those trying to get off Coruscant. It was a mess, one rapidly growing to the level of catastrophe. In the chaos, there didn't seem to be much in the way of a command structure here yet, so people were doing whatever they could. Adenna, on board the giant cruiser Adi-Wan shook her head. It saddened her to see this, especially in a defeat against the Mandalorians. She had never really considered them a threat until now, and it was worrying to have to deal with them on top of the Sith and Black Sun empires. This wasn't a Jedi world, so the Jedi here had little authority to take charge. Still, Admiral Antilles and the other captains of the Jedi fleet tried to offer whatever help they could. Medical supplies and food were distributed to the bases and rapidly forming refugee camps below while Jedi fighters offered escorts and helped with traffic. Some ships stayed only long enough to orient themselves, then jumped to other planets better suited to deal with refugees. Those ships that were damaged or had nowhere else to go stayed until someone stepped forward to lead. After sending a message to any Jedi leadership here, Adenna sent out several messages to anyone among the Galactic Alliance that might have some authority to take charge of this mess and waited impatiently for a response.
  22. Adenna was glad that Tobias came to see her. She knew he was busy, but if he hadn't come to her, she would have come to him before she had to leave. She smiled at the burly man's words, especially in their awkward, rambling sort of delivery. He was generally a bit odd with speaking to her, though it was an endearing trait. "Of course," she said. "You did so well with Sandy and the others, I think it is best you do stay here to tend to them where it is safe and you have room. I won't be gone long, just a few days. I just need to get the fleet to where it is useful and the Council can take some action with it. I won't leave you with the apprentices for long, and then I can see how well you have done." Seeing that he wasn't going to take any further action, she slipped her hand around his waist, pulled him close, and lifted herself up onto the tips of her toes to give him a warm kiss. "I love you too, though I would rather see your handsome face than a bunch of whiskers." She gave him a big wink and slowly let him go to attend to another familiar presence. She definitely took note of Sandy's attire. As much as it dismayed her that someone who had so earned peace had to continue to fight, she was proud that the timid young girl she first came across was now a strong, determined young woman. She would never get used to seeing the Imperial symbol or their armor, but in these strange times, it was better than many alternatives. There was sadness in her voice as she responded, "I am no master, and I can't order you to do anything. We are equals, and you have earned that. I know you want to join the Imperials there, but I think even you see that may not be the best path to take just yet. There are other Jedi on Borleias who have the authority and ability to use this fleet and there are people there who also need us.There will be a time to take action, truly, but rushing in unprepared is what got us into trouble in the first place. The Jedi need to refocus, not split up into small groups to be picked off one by one." Adenna let out a long breath. "I know that I haven't always done that, but going on our own path leads to weakness and ineffectual order. Going to the Imperials on your own would make you but one more in a crowd: easily lost and hardly effective. Staying with the other Jedi will allow you to strengthen and drive them to action so that, when we do help the Imperials, it will be with ships, armies, supplies, and strength. I will need your voice to be added to my own when I urge the Council to take action. The Imperials have offered support before, and the Jedi were hesitant. They proved themselves, and I hope to come to their aid as they did the Wookiees, but the Council needs convincing. Who better than two who fought with the Imperials and their Knights?" She put her hand on Sandy's armored shoulder and said, "You must do what you feel is right, but I urge you to join me and help convince the Council that it is time to fully commit to this war." Not wishing to put the younger Knight on the spot, Adenna then turned and left her to make up her mind without her staring expectantly. Adenna truly hoped Sandy would join her, but they were both Knights and she had already put her faith in the young woman, she wouldn't question that or force her to do anything. All she needed was her small carry bag from the quarters that she and Tobias shared, and she was ready to go. As the last of the preparations were underway, Adenna boarded a shuttle and was taken up to the Adi-Wan where guest quarters were set up for her. Once onboard, she reported to the bridge where Admiral Antilles was overseeing the last of the preparations. When all was done, he gave the order for the fleet to jump into hyperspace on its route to Borleias. [[All wanting to join at Borleias, assume you joined and post there]]
  23. Adenna was frustrated with the news that she was getting. So much of what was going on in the Galaxy had been of no note to her while she was so focused on the internal battles waging within her. Now that she was awake, it was time to address them. She realized that, despite her role as a more senior Jedi in the group, she had very little connections or interactions with those Jedi who had been traveling with them. She wasn't much aware of it before, now she was and felt a bit guilty. She wanted to correct that soon, but there were some other, very important things she needed to get done first. There were a few Jedi here on Felucia, but among them, it seemed that Adenna was among the more senior, or rather, perhaps it was that she was one of the few that wasn't occupied. It could have been for that reason that Admiral Antilles of the Adi-Wan and a few of the captains of the other smaller ships approached her. They were growing frustrated at being here on Felucia when Coruscant was falling and chaos erupting. She talked to them for well over a while, evaluating their situation and what might the best course of action be. It was odd to her for them to come to her to get directions as she wasn't in command of anything. In truth, she had been on the verge of leaving the Jedi Order for the Imperial Knights had the Jedi not taken some action. Tobias was working with the other Jedi, and Adenna was glad for that. Someone needed to take care of the newer Jedi, and despite his protests, he had proven himself quite adept at looking after and teaching them. She smiled at the thought of the burly man surrounded by younglings all hanging on his every word, waiting for him to teach them something new. He would protest and complain, but she suspected he would love such a thing. Leaving the assorted officers in the briefing room, Adenna went out to think and consider the options. Felucia was rich with life and she did love being around other Jedi once again, but she couldn't sit here. She couldn't let herself be consumed by her own inner desires, but had to put the greater good first. She had always been a woman of action, one who wouldn't stand by and allow evil to flourish. That is why she pushed the Jedi and other allies to liberate Thalassia from slavery. That is why she led the Jedi and CoreSec to destroy the Sith Temple on Coruscant. And that is why she went back to Thalassia to finish more of what she had started. The Jedi needed to do something, and not a token effort. Evil was evil, and it was growing. If the Jedi stood by and did nothing, or only gave a half effort, then they were helping that evil to flourish. The Jedi Order had tried to keep to their peaceful ways, opting to defend only instead of take the fight to the enemy. They tried to preserve life, tried to restrain themselves, and failed miserably in doing so. She was no supreme tactician, but looking at the makeup of the Jedi fleet, even she could tell it wasn't designed to wage war, but rather to support and offer aid. They had only one true capital ship while their foes had many. Looking out over the strangely fungal landscape of Felucia, Adenna made up her mind. If the Jedi leadership wasn't going to take action, she would. She would take command of the fleet here and move it to Borleias to regroup with whatever Galactic Alliance and remaining Jedi forces managed to flee from Coruscant. There, they could decide their next course of action. If someone higher up than her took issue with that, they could come and remove her from command. Until then, she would take that action and hopefully make a stand against the encroaching evil. She sent messages to Sandy and Tobias telling them of her intent while she walked back to the briefing room. When she got there, she told the gathered officers to ready their ships for the jump to Borleias. It would take them an hour or so to ready the fleet and load up with whatever reserve medical supplies that could be found. In the meantime, Adenna went to the landing platform and waited, watching the crews scramble and shuttles lift off.
  24. Adenna smiled warmly at Tobias. "I love you too," she said, then added with a wink of her own, "even if you might need a bit of a shave." She agreed with getting the apprentices to the temple, though found it amusing to consider a sentient tree thousands of years old a "youngling." Still, she needed to find out what was going on here. Too long, she had been out of the loop, so focused inward on her own struggles and her viewpoint tainted by the madness that fought to control her. It was not exactly a pleasant feeling, but she figured she could probably catch up to speed fairly quickly. Upon going into the temple and receiving verification of her identity, she inquired about who all was here. There weren't any Council members present, though there was a sizeable fleet in orbit. Adenna immediately began sending out messages to Grandmaster Trevelian and the rest of the Council requesting instructions about where they could use her and Tobias. While she waited responses, she began digesting all the information she could about what was going on in the Galaxy.
  25. As their ship reverted from hyperspace, Adenna contemplated the situation they were in. She had never been to the exotic jungle planet, but had heard some about it. She had wondered why the Jedi would establish a sizeable base here, but perhaps it was part of a grander plan she wasn't privy to. Stretching out to get a sense of the planet, she couldn't help but admit it was vibrant with life, though that life wasn't purely of the light. It had tinges of the dark, but it was a natural feeling. This was a place that was healthy, in balance, and full of potential. A smile graced her lips as she thought, Frond will love this place. There were other Jedi here. Scans indicated a small Jedi fleet in orbit including a large capital ship, and defenses began to register as they got closer to their destination. That brought her comfort knowing that there were other Jedi and that there was at least some level of protection for those here. There was a lot that needed to be done when they arrived. The Padawans needed to be guided through the last parts of building their lightsabers, and more intensive training needed to begin. She and Tobias needed to find the Grandmaster and figure out where they could best be used to aid the Order. There was also the issue of seeing what was going to be done on Coruscant.
