  1. *Months pass, and over time Locke's body is hardened to near superhuman levels thanks to a rigid training regimen overseen with harsh discipline by Valeran. One year from when Locke first arrived, Valeran adressed him for the first time by his real name.* You truly have changed over these months, Locke. It is time for you to go out into the galaxy and begin your spiritual training. The spirits will guide you, and if you choose wisely in time I will call you brother. Go now, and serve Justice.
  2. ::The attacks came again, more viscious and lightning fast.::
  3. *The first series comes hard and fast, the first two attacks being horizontal attacks at the sides of Locke's torso, followed by two thrusts into his chest and a horizontal strike at his left thigh.*
  4. We'll come back to physical training later, for now we'll move onto spiritual training. *Valeran gestures and a boy appears.* This is Ertu, a boy from a nearby village, and this is a wooden staff. Every two minutes I will begin a series of five strikes. You will choose whether they hit you or the boy. Do not use the Force, this is not a test of your Jedi skills. First series?
  5. *Locke felt the pleasent feeling of a boot digging itself into his soft stomach and came back to the world of the living.* Get up Michelle, your real training begins today. Meet me outside for the special equipment you'll be needing for todays exercise. *The special equipment consisted of two buckets and two long spikes connected to metal rings that wrapped around the upper arms. When worn, any lowering of the arms causes stabbing pain of different degrees.* You need to get the water from this lake into that hole over therewithout using the Force in any way and without killing yourself, because I don't want to have to clean up your intestines off of the ground. Begin.
  6. Oh, you make it sound like I have a burning desire to see retribution for the entire Jedi order due to their hand in the genocide of my father's entire race and my mother's exile. That's just crazy talk. *Valeran gestures to a residence a few yards over.* You'll find food and bedding inside there, I suggest you rest early tonight, you'll need your strength for tomorrow Clara.
  7. Well Susie, I could have kicked you in the groin, that would have been funny too.
  8. Oh, I just thought it would be funny to watch you carry it, princess.
  9. *After a mile of listening to Locke whine like a little school girl, the two came to a clearing.* You can put that down now, Locke. Fresh meat for the grinder my old friend, looks like we need it given your overwhelming blueness.
  10. You'll find out eventually, in the meantime. follow me and carry this. *Valeran draws his Caelestum and brings down a nearby tree.*
  11. I am Valeran, a Blademaster and ally to the Jedi.
  12. I show you the inadequacy of your ways, Jedi. *Unclasping his cloak, Valeran propelled himself toward the Jedi, his right hand a nimbus of electrical arcs. The Jedi ignited his saber in defense preparing to guard against the attack but the blademaster was too quick. Diverting right into a roll and coming out into a handspring combined with a kick, Valeran knocked Locke's saber out of his hand and over his head. Coming up behind the Jedi he struck him with the charged hand, paralyzing him as the lightsaber flew over the Jedi's head and came to its full length. Speed is the greatest asset of an executioner. Catching the lightsaber, deactivating it, and tucking it away, Valeran circled his new novum and came face to face with him.* You'll need to become stronger if you expect to protect anyone. *Pushing with a single finger on Locke's nose, he tips the Jedi over onto his back.* I'll give you some time to think about what just happened. Most people don't have the luxury of having time to figure out what happened when a Ral'tath attacked them. They just wake up in Hell.
  13. You look lost, young Jedi, lost in the woods.
  14. The Dark Side is a person's desire to see the Force in tones of morality. The Force is not good or bad, it simply is. However, we subconsciously will the Force to take on positive and negative traits depending on what we feel the morality of the action being taken is. The problem is that sometimes what may be considered an evil act can be done for a good purpose. For instance, say a child is sick but refuses to take medicine. If the father lies, uses deception and puts the medicine in the child's food, is the father really being wrongful? Or what of the hunter, who kills to feed his family?

  17. OOC((Since we are having trouble getting certain group members to post, and since this is taking longer than I anticipated, I'm making this thread seperate from the rest of the RP, in the sense that this has happened in the past. POST WAKING UP ON TRULALIS AND GO ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS. All I ask is the following: An event later on is going to result in memory alteration to make all present think Ar Pharazon set them up. Please do not interfere with the events on the following threads, as they happen at the same time you were on Nhagathul: Imperial palace and Illum. Please make an effort to continue posting here even as your characters are elsewhere, so that we can get this wrapped up. Thankyou for lending me your time and effort for this trial))
  18. OOC((I told him that it was my home planet, and that Valeran isn't too fond of the Empire.))
  19. *When Teema looks back at the troops, they're missing. Missing their heads to be exact.*

OOC(( There was an opportune target for the Empire, it attacked it, and moved on. If being evil or attacking the Jedi is wrong for the empire to do in your opinion, you're at the wrong board. This is a Star Wars board, and in Star Wars entire worlds get annihilated nonchalantly by the Empire. No comms were sent out to the Sith or the smugglers about the funeral, therefore since they knew about it it was general knowledge, or they weren't present. Apparently the sense of humor and the general pursuit of having fun that made this type of thing common in the old RP is gone. Lighten up, this is a roleplaying forum, not reality. Greg is not dead, you can talk to him on his AIM name everyday if it so pleases you(and he doesn't block you). Chill out and you may find that Jnet will become fun instead of bearable.))
  21. OOC(( I'm torn about this whole mess. First off, and most important, I consider you a friend, even after the harsh words you said to me. A moment of anger isn't going to change that. Second, I think you are a great RPer and it was a joy to work with you on the occasions that our allegiances permitted. It will be a shame that those stories will never come to fruition. My other half is screaming. How could you useleaving as a threat to get your way? Since when is it wrong for the Jedi to get attacked? I never thought you would choose to sacrifice our friendship over an RP event. Most likely you'll think that the first part of this post is a nicety, but the simple truth is that I'm conflicted and a post can only express words, one at a time. You can't see my eyes or hear my voice as I speak these words. Hence you only have what must seem now is the hollow promise of a friend that all of this is from my heart.))

    Kashyyyk

*Valeran charges the advancing Tyranid Warriors, twin Caelestums blazing into motion like thunderbolts. The blades carve through the carapace of one of the Warriors with a snap and a hiss, bringing the creature down. As another approaches, he launches his blades forward and they plunge straight through the warrior and back into his hands on the other side.*

    Kashyyyk

*Valeran, as always, stood alone. The Wookies that inhabited this planet evacuated without offering escape to the people of other species, essentially dooming thousands, if not millions. In time, judgement would come for those responsible for this act of grand slaughter. But for now, it would be the Tyranids who faced justice. A dark green tide approached the lone executioner, but there was no fear in his eyes, only conviction.*

    Kashyyyk

*Moving silently in the shadows, Valeran lurks in the buildings of the city platforms. Absolute silence was necessary, or else the enemy would swarm him in an instant. Traveling without sound, he spots a small brood of gaunts moving through rubble. Moving like lightning he silences them one by one, going from rear to front in a matter of seconds. Just as quickly he melts back intot he shadows...
