Deton folded his hands behind has back, taking in at ease pose. Though he once held the title of Emperor, there were times that his stormtrooper training overrode any individuality expression he had developed during his reign. "We need to be able to reproduce the full bodies and memories of key individuals, so we can replace Imperially loyal clones in target areas." He looked around the lab and noticed the little girl playing. To him that seemed dangerous, what if she ingested some toxic compound, or was exposed to some sort of pathogen. Well she wasn't his kid so he wouldn't tell the father what to do with her. "Preferably replacing the individuals with as little fuss and mess as possible would be nice. I doubt a team could extract bone marrow from a target while no one noticed."

Deton scanned through the data. While his mind was indeed keen, he was more on the how to eviscerate a hutt with your bare hands side of knowledge. He caught a few of the most popular words and a few more he had studied up on but for the most part of it, this datapad read to him like a long dry document. "Adult stem cells? Where would we harvest those? I was hoping that a hand shake and perhaps a pin drop of blood would be all we needed to make carbon copy clones. " He handed the datapad pack, before smiling at the little girl playing with some sort of electronic device. He couldn't imagine spending time in a lab as a kid, and wondered why the child did not make use of any of the child centers in the area.

Deton walked the hallowed halls of the last bastion of Imperial power. His boots echoed as he marched his way down to a hidden laboratory. For the most part it seemed Imperial power was growing. It was of course no where near the height it had been in his prime time as Emperor. Then he had ruled an entire galaxy, with a few rebel worlds constantly challenging his domain and attacking his worlds. Now their sphere of influences was substantially smaller. Yet that only made it more potent. The Ryloth attack hadn't gone as well as desired. There had been no true investigation into any of the attack nor any public outcry. It was a sad message the galaxy was sending him. One where innocent civilians, were nothing. The entire galaxy had gone to hell it seemed. Survival was at the whim of what ever big dog strolled into your neighborhood. He would have to change that and that would start with a visit to the lab with his new scientist. He pushed open the door to see Nathaniel Corun hard at work. " Nathaniel Corun I have come to ask for a progress report. Have you been able to clone a person and retain their memories from simple genetic data? How much genetic data needs to be captured for this to be successful? "
  4. Massive Terrorist attack on Ryloth, is the G.A or the Coalition of Sentient Enlightenment to blame for failing to stop and or by inciting these attacks!?!?! The IRHN's Doren Ba'al: "It's one of the largest attacks to happen in many years on Ryloth" After the double pronged attack three of the most profitable Ryll dens in the city Kala'uun as well as the Floating Rock Gardens of Ryloth, a third attack collapses four of the busiest tunnels on Kala'uun, halting commence flow and bringing a devastating toll on populace, say officials. Tragedy struck Ryloth today, as an unknown group of terrorists attack serveral key locations on Ryloth today. Among those locations is the Floating Rock Gardens of Ryloth, a tourist attraction said to be the most famous on the planet. Eyewitnesses said the attacks were carried out late into the night, and that no one alive saw the perpetrators. Only explosions that seemed to heard them into oddly enough safe locations, before the areas began to explode. Guards on duty at the Floating Rock Gardens, were saved from the devastating blast that deformed the tourist attraction by a timed explosive outside of the complex. Survivors of the four tunnel collapse said that explosions created roadblocks that kept them away from the danger of the main attack. No group has so far come forward to take creadit for the attack. It is the largest attack for Ryloth since SEED was driven off world. Rescue workers said no civilians had been caught in the blast. Many of the victims of this attack were soldiers and students of the spice production industry that ryloth is famous for. The G.A-backed transitional government condemned the attack and said no senior government officials were hurt in the blasts. Government members were nowhere near blast site at the time. "The attack shows that the danger from terrorists is not yet over and that there are obviously still people who want to derail the advances that the Galactic population have made towards peace," it said in a statement. The government statement set the number of dead at 50, but it was not clear whether this was only an initial count. Resident analysis Pol Fenn had this to say. ”œWe are not sure why these attacks were done. While our tourist attraction was indeed damaged, the most important implication is a decreased revenue stream for the planet. With our most profitable ryll dens, hit hard, and seemingly robbed, and the tourist attraction destroyed along with the damaged to our busiest tunnels, commence on this world has been greatly impacted. While we wish the G.A could keep such terrorist in line, we will still survive this assault. If anything this will only make us stronger and more resilient. The question however, is this a backlash from the Coalition of Sentient Enlightenment gaining media attention?”

"So be it then. We will sign you onboard our R and D department. We will be impounding your ship for now." He paused for a moment as a comm came in for him. "Actually we have work for you right now. Your new mission objectives will be to design weapons, machines and materials for squad based combat, raiding, and sabotage. We will set you up with a lab, whatever supplies you need a living expense and room and board. We will check in on your results, and ask for field tests, but I am sure you can handle that. You will also be in charge of teaching our stormtroopers the finer points of things such as demolitions, repair and IEDs. Good luck and if you will just follow that gentleman over there..." He pointed to a nearby stormtrooper. "You can get on your way. One more thing, should you attempt to leave the planet we will shoot you down, daughter or no."

The stormtroopers in question raised an eyebrow at the man's greeting. However instead of saying anything they stood motionless, even the one who had waved at the child had returned to his stance. "I see, came the reply. Well you will have to come with me." Two stormtroopers formed up behind the man and his daughter, rifles pointed mostly in the father's direction. Meanwhile the man leading began to walk away expect this fellow to follow him to his office. As he walked he talked. "Well as you well know, this worlds is perhaps a secret to all in the universe. How you knew an imperial presence had ever been here, or even that this world was in existence is part of the problem. The other part of the problem is rather simple. We don't want visitors, and you have come to this world unannounced..." He paused as a door opened in front of him, then he contained his speech as he led the way to his office. "As such we are faced with a dilemma of what to do with you. Now that your navigation computer has our coordinates, and you have seen us in action." He turned to face the man at this point. "So what do you think we should do about it? I don't wish to be the only man talking here." ((Sorry for the late reply.))

Only one of the stormtroopers waved back to the little girl. The others simply stood as silent as stone, as the newly arrived pair was appraoched by a sgt. "State your name and business on Foy." Deton watched Draken leave briefly, as the soliders on the field seemed to begin to move. THis could prove interesting. Was his thought as he watched the camera trick.

Two Tie defenders quickly formed as his wing, escort the newcomer down to the landing pad, where a detachment of Imperial stormtroopers stood waiting for him. Visitors to Foy were scheduled far in advance he would have quite a bit of explaining to do the moment he landed. Deton smiled slightly as he reflected on his last sentiment. He had been foraged to be an agent of the Empire... a solider of the Empire since his youth. He had always been meant to serve as a tool of war a weapon of direct and conclusive destruction. Since his inception into this world, he had grown to become a hero, a legend even, an Emperor ruling over the stars. Naturally he had been prepared for the harsh realities of combat against known enemies. Had practiced such knowledge to a degree that had exceeded expectations. What was worse was that he had been trusted into battle against forces unimaginable and terrifying alien yet familiar. Yet even against the Archtar he had delivered numerous decisive victories against the overwhelming might of the would be invaders. He was trained to fight, and his ability was at a level far beyond that of a normal solider. He had always been on some level considered among the Empire's best and possibly only hope when faced against threat after threat from all sides, with no quarter asked or given. Yet his fame had risen through the flames of war, echoing in the silent vacuum of space. He had inspired hope and salvation which had even culminated into a faint glimpse of ultimate victory at the death star. One would have thought having been trained to fight and win time and time again, his desire for victory be it in simple games or heated combat would be enough. Yet he had been tempted by something no one had expected. For that moment of safety, that promise of peace, he had unleashed damnation upon the very stars he once ruled over and swore to protect. Had allowed a farce of a government to step in and fail where he would have succeeded. It was perhaps his greatest failure, yet one that was destined to happen. Almost as if God, Gods or the Force itself willed it into being. The question was could he take on God and live tell the tale? He would find out. He looked out on the training field. It would be nice to have greater faith in those assembled here however.

In the olden times the reaction to a single lone ship flying in restricted air space would have been tremendous. As it stood now, it was incredible any one had been able to find this secret hideaway. The one of the last bastions of Imperial power and might. Still given the current state of the galaxy, and the significantly reduced might of the Imperial navy, it was taken that pure dumb luck had allowed this pilot to arrive with his daughter at Foy. --comm-- Unidentified aircraft, please transmit credentials and stay with in the following zone. Failure to comply will allow for lethal corrective measures. --end comm-- Deton watched as the training exercise for today began to take shape. He had to admit, it had felt good to escape Cardia for a bit. Suit up in the old armor, and watch others do the same. It felt like he was apart of something again. This feeling of course would not last, he would not be able to stay here. Yet his ability to escape Cardia and get here with out GA interference was a blessing. He wanted to see with his eyes, just what the Imperials would be capable of. The Former Emperor, stood looking in the direction of where the imperial commandos had been taken off to. He had to admit, from what he had seemed so far, leadership at the squad level had taken a hit. He was rather well connected given his own status, and he was indeed some what displeased by the potential choices leading Imperial lives into battle. It was a sad day when he had found a mercenary holding to better imperial protocol than a trained imperial commando. Had his leadership allowed the Empire to fall so low, that superiors were back talked to on the regularly by their men? It was strange of course, and the former Emperor, who had led the Empire in more campaigns, had won more battles, and had more experience in the field than any man here suddenly felt very weary. It would take a lot to whip this new generation in to shape it seemed.

"Moff Rustic..." It had an interesting sounding ring to it. He liked it on some level. Far better than governor to be sure. He shook his head slowly, so much information had been brought to light to quickly. It was as if everything he had worked for and had struggled to obtain had been for nothing. An aide ran up to him, forcing him to watch the current holonet broadcast. What he saw shocked him to his core. Cloud city was.... gone. That was unbelievable that was impossible. He was flabbergasted by the news, shocked by the vent. "WHAT MANNER OF TRAGEDY IS THIS!?! HOW CAN THIS BE?" He roared, his natural impulse to hunt down the perpetrators and put a blaster shot between their eyes. He knew accidents and this was no accident. This was deliberate, and it had happened again on the GA's watch. Kashyyyk had recently been under a massive arson attack. Naboo's city of Theed had been razed so hard that it was by divine mercy the entire city wasn't just a massive festering pit of death, decay and rubble. Now the cloud city of Bespin had fallen. Literally. Each world was a highly popular or well known world, each landmark was a house hold area or name. Each had fallen under the GA's watch. The base on Gala had been blown half to hell, proving that former military were not safe. With three major civilian populations destroyed, and a former military base wiped out, he was beyond disappointed in the GA. Even the richest man and the universe and the most deadly contract killer in the galaxy had not been safe, each suffering losses right on the very doorstep of the GA. He reflected back to a moment in time. A time where he was not just a man or a Governor but something far greater. A time where he had found himself in a position he had never thought he would be in. Deton had never aspired to rise become the Emperor. It had been trusted upon him as a matter of necessity. He had been, and on some level would always be a stormtrooper. It was much a part of him as his lungs, and a stormtrooper was meant to serve and protect. Granted, he had used his new found powers to instill that at every level he could manage. Yet it had not seemed to carry over into this new government. There was and is no single more important thing than to help men and women of all species build their lives on distant worlds. He had thought his final acts as Emperor ensured that goal was realized. The Ga had let him to believe that citizens who had put their faith in him would have the one thing he wished for them to have more than anything. They would have a secure future, with stability and order in their lives. It was perhaps his one and only dream. Yet here he was wondering where was the stability where was the order, the security, the justice? How could all of these attacks come to pass. How many more would come to pass. It was ridiculous. The military will be used what it has always been used for, securing our populous. Be it from each other or from an outside Force. We have many worlds to keep the peace with. Worlds that hate their neighbors, worlds that spawn pirates, worlds under the control of Black sun. There is still a use for the military as there always seems to be an enemy, an enemy called nature. It simply is within the nature of beings to fight and disagree, and we will have to make sure we can respond if need be. After all what if some group takes issue with this legitimate government like the rebel alliance took issue with the Empire was voted in to be the legitimate government. In order to ensure that there is a peaceful, stable, and secure society we must remain vigilant even though our war with ourselves is over. These were the very words he had spoken at that peace summit. The very words he had used to warn. Yet the GA clearly had not taken to heart his warning. The response with the military was lacking. Criminals were running around rampant, crime was on the rise, terror attacks was scarring the populous. Even the good that had been brought forth in the galaxy such as the neogenesis project he had heard about, had been shut down out of fear, by powers far greater than those of the common man. It was as though evil had won and was winning, in this new society and there was no one to at least hold the line. He was sure at this point the government would begin to respond covertly. Attempting to take out targets via wet work, using a secret police to scare the populous in line. Add to that their hostile reaction to a single succession, and he knew the route this government was going to take. A terrible turn for the worse, and he was party to it all because he had signed away the Empire because of a little girl. He could see it all now. The Alliance will become increasingly controlling of local governments, demanding member states pay taxes to help with reconstruction and pool their military resources for the fleet. That way no local government could rise up against the Galactic governemnt. Some more independent worlds, especially those with strong industries and patriotic streaks will see themselves as above the legal requirements, and began viewing the government as a resurrected Galactic Empire. Relationships between the Alliance and several local governments will deteriorat to the point that the Alliance will decide it needs to show a preemptive display of military might at some local government. That local government will of course launch a counterstrike at the show of force, full scale galactic war would once again loom. Add to that the rise of terrorism and he knew what the GA's next move would be. Chances are the move had already begun. To combat the mounting terrorism on Coruscant, Supreme commander Cadio or perhaps even the Chief of state would no doubt feel forced to institute the Galactic Alliance Guard as a secret police force under a Colonel. This move will result in the resignation of some higher up once they get word, as the distaste in such measures. There would then be a growing discontent over the increasingly draconian system of government, with the most common chant at political protests being 'The Empire is back'. The Sith would not be quiet during this turmoil. Instead they would be feeding it. Manipulating it to make other world leave and form something of a confederation of sorts. The GA would declare a state of war on those worlds given its current response to one world leaving. The Alliance would then be faced with a growing crisis as other worlds separated from the Galactic Alliance to join the rebels. The Hutts and the Imperial Remnant would also be encouraged to join. Many other lesser worlds would try to continued to voice their support and the Confederation, already possessing many of the leading shipyards in the galaxy, will raise ship production to epic levels and led attacks on Alliance shipyards with it's very own Confederation Fleet. As more worlds flocked to the banner of the Confederation, freeing themselves of what they saw as Alliance tyranny, old conflicts would break out. Soon, militarily, the two forces would be at similar strengths, and a dangerous GA reliance on some group would rise. It was like he had said at the summit. There is no sudden on and off switch that they can flip that will turn an Imperial ace pilot into a friend of a Republic pilot. There is simply put bad blood between sides. He knew what was needed. The Stormtrooper was needed. The stormtrooper, the most elite and feared professional fighting force in the galaxy could absorb that bad blood with their shiny white armor. Already self-contained, the brotherhood they share would not be affected from the amount of criticism and flack they would take at their sudden appearance. There was simply put, no better group to over see the galaxy and help the government. Even though the government they attempt to help will do everything in their power to wipe out every single stormtrooper. Yet if the stormtrooper was allowed both Republic and former Imperials feel the boot of the Stormtrooper keeping them inline, and they will find new grounds to unite upon. It is an already vivid and iconic armor, and anything new would take years to install the same level of respect. By that time untold horrors and tragedies may have befallen countless men and women. He had been alive in this galaxy for a grant total of twenty-five years. That is twenty-five years of hopes, dreams and ambitions. Twenty-five years of interactions with people he had met, with places he went and things he saw. Yes, that does mean that ther has also been twenty-five years of resources he consumed, of animals killed so could live . Yet this also means that twenty-five years ago two wonderful people, Col Sabret Rustic and Ira Rustic, looked down and were happy about the new life they brought into this world. What a waste it would be if his life were to end because in this new merger, a group of former republic soldiers were unable to work together with the imperial soldiers, held back by the senate, and he died in a random terrorist attack. Yet his story was not unique, it is the same for every single solitary man and woman in the galaxy. Many beings had recently had their story come to an end given the tragedy of Bespin in the latest cascade of terrible events. It was clear to him now that the Ga had not kept such tragedies from coming to pass. It was clear to him now that he had been derelict in his duty to do what he said he would do when he first rose to the rank of supreme commander. His mind reflected back to the holonet broadcast of that fateful day. ... It has been decided by the current council of Moffs, as well was through unanimous decision. that the Empire will indeed by led by a single individual. This individual, came of notice to us shortly after his defense of Naboo from an attacking rebel force. It was during this time, that this man then rose above and beyond the challenge set down before him. As a cease fire was called due to the invasion by a force that threatened the entire galaxy not with anarchy but with TOTAL ANNIHILATION! This man then took up the mantle of Supreme Commander of the Imperial Forces and under his command, score victories against beings who originally seemed unstoppable. He fought them to a standstill and pushed them back! He fought them Hand to hand PERSONALLY leading the CHARGE into the fallen Centerpoint station. A man with quite the distinguished record, it is my honor, no privilege to introduce to you, the man who will lead us in tis dark hour. FORMER CAPTAIN DETON RUSTIC Head of the Stormtrooper Division, as well as the head of the ENTIRE DEFENSIVE FLEET... NOW RETURNED TO THE SUPREME COMMANDER OF IMPERIAL FORCES! Thunderous almost deafening applause broke out through out the stands as both reporters and spectators broke out in furious cheers. The line directly streaming the proceedings, to the holonet slightly lost focus under the furious show of appreciation for their new commander. Deton had at the time, felt as those the very universe was shaking with such vigor with their hearty applause. He had to admit, he had been scared at the time. Scared he would fail, that all of those beings that would now come to depend on him, would die because of some mistake he made. It turned out he was and had been right to be scared. What could he say to those who had died on Naboo... on Bespin? How could he make up for their deaths? Every single word of his acceptance speech came back to him. Citizens of the civilized galaxy, on this day we mark a transition. For Years the Empire stood as the crowning achievement of civilized beings. But there were those who would set us against one another, and we took up arms to defend our way of life against the Rebels. Though we lost our original Emperor, we have continued to maintain and strive forward ever since then, until now we stand at the precipice of the cup, about to once again reunite the galaxy! The Jedi, and some within our own Senate, had conspired to create the galaxy of lawlessness.... of anarchy. They had hoped to grind the Empire into ruin. But the hatred in their hearts could not be hidden forever. At last, there came a day when our enemies showed their true natures. But the aims of would-be tyrants were valiantly opposed by those without elitist, dangerous powers. Such as our finest Stormtroopers, Our loyal troopers contained the insurrection and quelled uprisings on a thousand worlds. Under the Empire's Order, our most cherished beliefs will be safeguarded. We will defend our ideals by force of arms. We will give no ground to our enemies and will stand together against attacks from within or without. Let the enemies of the Empire take heed: those who challenge Imperial resolve will be crushed. We have taken on a task that will be difficult, but the people of the Empire are ready for the challenge. Because of our efforts, the galaxy has traded war for peace and anarchy for stability. Billions of beings now look forward to a secure future. The Empire will grow as more planets feel the call, from the Rim to the wilds of unknown space. Imperial citizens must do their part. Join our grand star fleet. Become the eyes of the Empire by reporting suspected insurrectionists. Travel to the corners of the galaxy to spread the principles of the Order to barbarians. Build monuments and technical wonders that will speak of our glory for generations to come. Imperial stormtroopers, have tackled the dangerous work of fighting our enemies on the front lines. Many have died in their devotion to the Empire. Imperial citizens would do well to remember their example. The Imperial Order of peace has triumphed over the shadowy secrecy of shameful magicians and rebels. The direction of our course is clear. I will lead the Empire to glories beyond imagining. We have been tested, but we have emerged stronger. We move forward as one people: the Imperial citizens of the first Galactic Empire. We will prevail. I will not say the road will be easy. Peace is not free as our brave soldiers find out daily against the rebel scum and their Jedi pets. We did after all try to do the civilized thing. Allow them to be recognized as a legitimate government with legitimate concerns. Unfortunately just like any other terrorist group, the moment something didn't go their way, that immediately launched another spilling of our blood, then vehemently protest when we march on their doorstep, demanding them to account for the blood they spilled! HOWEVER, WE ARE an Empire devoted to the preservation of a just society. Of a safe and secure society! We are an Empire that will stand ten thousand years! We will celebrate the anniversary of this day as Empire Day. For the sake of our children. For our children's children! For the next ten thousand years! Safety! Security! Justice and peace! Say it with me! Safety, Security, Justice, and Peace! Safety, Security, Justice, and Peace!" He had failed them... he had failed and did not know truly how to make it up. How could he have fallen so low, thrown away the trust given to him by the galaxy. He had led them down this path, forced them into this no win situation. He would some how do right by the galaxy. How foolish he had been to think he had been done, that his battle had been over, that his cause won. He had thought he brought peace to the universe, yet he had done nothing of the sort. He sent out a small comm, he had a plan an idea. It would take time, and he would need to find himself. Rebuild himself to not bow and break when a carrot of peace was dangled in front of his eyes. He needed to find a way to make the galaxy, safe and secure once more. To finish what he started. He commissioned a ship. He contacted his finest men, he went to a disguise artist, a electronics specialist, and set aside a budget. First he would need to build himself up. He would need to take a leave of absence from government work. He would need to go into the wilderness and make sure his skills were sharp. If he could survive the trials of war he could survive this. He knew now he would eventually need to leave Cardia, after all how could he look any family member in the eye now that he knew of his failure. He was not oft he right state to lead Cardia right now, but yet he was. He would not relinquish his Governor title, instead he would go forth, away from the capital. He would expand his horizons, and lead this once beautiful imperial world, back into a prosperous age. Yet he would not be confined by this chair. It was time for a journey . He need to find himself with out abandoning his people. Deton packed, and soon he left, the lack of him being in the office doing nothing to deter the day to day lives of Cardian so far. Yet he would fix his world's problems, as well as that of the galaxy. He just needed to find himself first.

"Admiral, Ambassador Talis, and General Fasut. You know as well as I do that a blanket pardon would only be a feel good but rather undeserved measure. To do so cheapens the very thing we work towards here! All persons regardless of their crime, should be subjected to a military tribunal and determine if their actions were indeed justifiable. If not, a swift punishment should be merited out. No exceptions!" Least we let psychopaths go free. Deton snapped out of a memory from long ago. He had been an Emperor once. The great Emperor Deton Rustic who has defended the Empire against many overwhelming threats. He had attended that peace conference and listened to a lot of stupid suggestions. Such as less of a focus on troops defeating Force-users, as that should not be a situation that our new government should have to face. As well as a blanket pardon to all being no matter what crimes they had committed. In seemed in his haste to make peace he had unleashed upon the galaxy a hell it was clearly unprepared for. Crime ran rampant, justice was non existent. Whole planets felt so unsafe that they felt their best option was to leave the Government he had helped to form. Had his mistake been his withdrawl afterwards? He did know he was tired of being referred to as Governor. He read the anger in the Counts face. There had to be something he could do to fix this but what? "You claim to be the last Imperial world? You stand alone against the GA. I am no longer of my former rank and stature, I can no longer do the things I used to. To leave the GA at this time would be a mistake for my world. Yet, it is clear to me that the GA is failing as a government structure. That they lack both the power and capabilities to handle most wayward threats. So as I have learned the art of compromise I offer you this. Cardia will not leave the GA at this time to join your Imperial Remnant. Cardia however will resume trade with your worlds. We will also open up our facilities to be used in an imperial manner once more. May you bring glory in your cause." I will find a way to fix this galaxy again. This is practically the cry for help I have been waiting for...

"That is precisely what I am saying Governor. I offered no hostilities to them and they reacted to me with implications of war being declared against my planet. If that is how they respond to me in response to my leaving their Alliance, their reactions to you would be very questionable. Tell me Governor, how is your world faring under this new government? Are you people prospering?" ”œThat is most disturbing, to hear of such news. I could understand if they were at war and did not wish to waste the resources but to deny trade is unacceptable. That is as if they are gearing up for war against your planet. That or they wish to make you so desperate that you come back crawling to them, begging to be let in. If that is the case that is a some what despicable but understandable tactic during peace time. It also highlights that they are more power hungry then they are helpful.”

Deton paused, which was rare, as a stormtrooper he was normally very action oriented. As a former Emperor he was able to keep his thoughts mostly to himself, but in his time away from such positions of power, he lapsed from time to time in shielding his thoughts from potential mind readers. Mainly because what secrets he once held were irrelevant now, and the need for such endeavors was nonexistent. The Galactic Gunshop, a well known icon of personal firearms and power and knowingly owned by perhaps the most dangerous bounty hunter in the galaxy was recently destroyed. This was done in the front lawn of the new Government so to speak, as well as the killing spree that followed. No reports of any sort of action taken against the perpetrators.... A real shame. Back when I ran the galaxy such an act would be punished quickly and severely if not right at the scene of the crime. The Last Call, one of the most famous bars in the galaxy, also located on Coruscant, also recently destroyed. It is perhaps that reason that the owner took such an earlier retirement. If both the most deadly contract killer and perhaps the most richest man in the galaxy are not safe, how do the people of Coruscant sleep at night? What protection does the GA really offer? How are there not arrests for the killing sprees of Coruscant, Naboo, and Kashyyyk. Though I detested the rebels back when I did rule, their base on gala was hit by some sort of bomber, and there was never any public trial of such a being. Maybe a bit of wet work was done but, I doubt it. It almost seems that in this time of peace the galaxy is falling apart. I know Cardia is. We have lost our purpose in a lot of way. We still have our food trade of course. It is one of our major exports yet the military has taking a beating. Used to be at the forefront for producing military personnel, developing military technology, and creation of industrial equipment. Now our schools are for the most part shut down, or re purposed, the massive decrease in military strength has forced many out of work and we are only keeping really with what industrial equipment we can market to the private sector, as the GA itself has no use for such things. It makes no sense, for the senators to have done nothing about the rise in crime. There isn't even an official GA police force from what I can tell. Just reliance on that third party corsec group, and they seem to focus on the wrong kind of events for the most part. Where is the order? Where is the stability? The justice and security? Have I done the gaaxy wrong in allowing this new government to form? Did I have a choice? I added my input, though it amounted to very little as the forces were long ago stacked against me in that summit. "Wait, you are saying because your world did not feel safe while apart of the GA, you left? Then in response, they not only refused to come to your aid should the situation require it but, cut off all trade with you? Are you at war with the GA, as that id the response one has if they plan to go to war with another nation or planet. In a civilized society, as long as you were not enemies, trade would at least still commence. Why even a planet with no space fare beyond being able to travel to their moon, has better practices then, if you don't join my club you won't exist in our world economy. Would this happen to every world that leaves the GA or just worlds who used to ally or be under the banner of the Empire?"

Deton's eyes narrowed, as he thought about the Chancellor. That man at one point had At least Deton's respect. Then he threw it all away after Deton thought about it. The man had killed millions upon millions on his attack on Coruscantt alone. Then the man had seduced a former stormtrooper, who had been allowed to serve in the Imperial armed forces. Of course this is the same lady who had brokered the peace. When Deton had heard the news he had felt swindled to say the least. That the man has seduced a woman that he was many years the senior of was quite dirty to be sure. Yet since they had been both at the peace summit he had been forced to wonder, had they had a bedroom romp before or afterwards. It was a terrible thing to doubt his officers. Especially since she had served with such distinction and valor until the battle aboard the Death Star. He would never know if she was a traitor and he would never ask. It was simply disturbing on all fronts to think about. "Agreed. Especially after recent events." He shook his head slowly as he opened the door to his office. "So you have come to Cardia, which is currently a GA world seeking to persuade us to join you in this separation?"
  16. Deton

Deton raised an eyebrow as he was summoned. There was something of a lumbering sigh that escaped the veteran shoulder and formerly the most powerful man in the known galaxy. He had, for the most part retired here, and had thought as long as he stayed silent on his homeworld he would never enter real politics again. Granted his former political clout had caused him to take officer on this world. Yet he had always seen it as a tribute and offering to those who await his return with a bid for power. Time to face the music. Always knew that sooner or later, some one would call in a favor. He had not been keeping up with the GA politics. As crime seemed to be on the rise, terrorist attacks seemed to be blossoming and hope seemed to be leaving the galaxy. It was a shame that all of his work had led to this but, the galaxy was not clamoring for his leadership and he was not apt to give it to them. It only took him moments to have the full honor guard and detail laid out before the Count of Serenno. Allowing the man to be entertained as Deton got ready to play dignitary again. Soon he was before the man himself, allowed something resembling a smile to appear on his face. "Welcome to Cardia Count of Serenno. Why don't you fill me in on your business with me as we make our way to my office."

I used to think that once we have a war there is only one thing to do. It must be won. For defeat brings worse things than any that can ever happen in war. Yet it seems the galaxy or perhaps really a young girl taught me a different way. His hand wiped away a sweat covered brow. Strong hands moved with purpose, a quiet efficiency in his movements as he carried on his work. There was a time that the man as he was would have never been seen in such a setting. There was a time where his every whim was carried out with brutal efficiency. He was able cause whole planets to rise at the sound of his voice. Yet here he was now in this bright early morning, alone, working the very land he used to own. He felt the dirt break, the movement causing the ancient tool to shutter in his hands. Well worn hands held the poor device just loosely enough for it to not break under the strain of being driven by such a powerful man. It was hard, back breaking work. The work was also quite exacting, a far different contrast than what he was used to. Where he could merely cast out a die, take a gamble and the fear would leap into his enemy's eyes. He remembered the feeling of watching men be terrified of what he would do, it was in a way addicting. He had not thought so at the time, yet now with such time to reflect he did miss the rush of adrenaline on occasion. Then as now; he had had reason for the things he did. Worlds upon worlds screamed his name upon his ascension to power. Happy to have the previous emperor fallen and for him to have stepped up in his place. It was the way of most Emperor, they were a holding line against the nastiness of anarchy. They were a clear and definitive symbol against such things. It was almost shocking how far he had fallen since those times. The former Emperor began to hum a tune to himself as he worked. He was lost in his reflections of times past. Lost in just how fragile government could truly be. After all one minute he held the key to every door in the galaxy. Where mere mention of his name a cause for great accolades and ballads written about him and to him. Next it was as if everything closed on him. Even his mightiest of endeavors and enterprises seemed to slip as if they had foundations of salt and sand. The work took his mind off of what else seemed to play deep in the background. It reminded him of religious bells being played, perhaps those of a funeral procession. Why they played during the quiet times he had, he knew not. Yet on some level they terrified him, he truly did not know death. He had escaped it many times; try as death might to capture him. Yet even though he was terrified, what else was there for a man such as he to look forward to? What else could compare to the feeling of ruling a galaxy? Surely the good he had accomplished would warrant him some reward when he finally passed on in this life? ”œHeh, here I am as a young man, and it seems I feel as though my life is over. Young in body, old in soul.”
  18. Large strong hands whose purpose for quite some time had been to crack skulls took what was perhaps the most important datapad the galaxy had seen in quite some time. Cool eyes with a hint of fire behind them scanned the document as pursed lips were the only sign of activity. It is not everything, I would have hoped for in such an accord. Yet for now it is enough. May what ever supreme being have mercy on this old solider. There were many things that had flashed before his eyes. A well of emotion sprang forth as the past came forth. Every transgression, every annoyance, foray, his military career came forth in this on moment. The moment where he essential could give it all away. Sure not everything would be in vain. He had taken down quite a few criminals in his day. Yet here he was not only knocking boots with the enemy but about to sign away the Empire as a legitimate authority in the galaxy. Though all of the battle fought he couldn't deny a single conclusion. Though the rebels had been his most hated enemy. Hatred that rivaled the heat of suns, due to their destructive nature. They had also been his most respected foe. They were or had all been simply bit players in a tragedy far larger than any of them. He understood that more than anyone. I am no hero. I may be the face of the Empire but I am not her champion. I am merely a man who has seen and done and endured what can never be forgotten or truly forgiven. It took only a moment, and then a being who was once an Emperor was nothing more than a man. No greater or lesser than any other being in the galaxy. Well, still better than quite a few He caught himself thinking as he reflected on that thought. There was officially nothing left for him. He was just another solider, yet still he remained amongst those who considered themselves leaders. Though he hated to admit it, these were perhaps the closest people in stature to him. Who else would understand the trials and tribulations of a former Emperor? Who else could fathom the incredible pressure to have trillions of beings depending on you for guidance. He doubted many in this room, but they were close and he could accept that. He took a seat as a sense of both weariness and freedom over took him. Unfortunately now, came the boring part.
  19. 'Let me take this opportunity to remind the Former-Emperor Rustic that his word is no longer law. ' Though he had come to accept that after this summit his position and a lot o what he stood for would have faded away. It didn't really hit him until hearing the arrogant little republic pup utter those words. For a brief moment his shoulders sagged and he slumped like a boxer hit in the gut. Yet as quickly as the blow came a new emotion found its way into the pit of his bell. A cold and icy pity of anger. Who did that man think he was to talk to him in that manner? They were not equal. They could never be equal. As that man had no doubt aspired to be the rank he was. Had worked, and schemed, and perhaps even back stabbed to ensure that he was in the position he now held. His entire career built on the backs of Imperial men slaughtered by either him or his command. Deton had never aspired to rise to his current rank. It had been trusted upon him as a matter of necessity. He had been, and on some level would always be a stormtrooper. It was much a part of him as his lungs, and a stormtrooper was meant to serve and protect. Granted, he had used his new found powers to instill that at every level he could manage. The fact of that matter was however, that while both men were considered to be influential men of status in power, the common ground between them was one of spilled blood. Nothing more nothing less. "You jest correct? Physically impossible? Perhaps when one has spent his entire military career dealing with various vagabond and scoundrels fillings his ranks of fighting men, the notion of a solider of integrity is difficult for you to understand. Not to say you haven't done well with the clearly limited resources at your disposal. That is evident by the very fact you stand here today. Yet don't presume to know the value of a stormtrooper just because you have faced them in battle and lived to tell the tale." He could feel a rather explosive anger lying under the surface. It was as if a fuse had been lit some time ago. Yet now the fuse had grown short as it continued to burn. Various unarmed strikes began to filter through his mind, as the same scene appeared with alarming regularity. He would leap over the table in a moment. The Admiral would would be easy to dispatch with Stava. He would have to move into steel hand to take down the Jedi Admiral. It would be quick in both instance, and as his excitement of taking such action seemed to grow, he quietly checked himself and forced himself into breathing exercises. It was not that killing two of his enemies wouldn't bring him joy. As it would longer after he was restrained by the rest of the guards and delegation. It was so much so that he knew of a far greater reward. There is no single more important thing than to help men and women of all species build their lives on distant worlds. As long as he could continue to play nice he could ensure that goal was realized. All he had to do in his final moments as Emperor was play nice and the citizens who had put their faith in him would have the one thing he wished for them to have more than anything. They would have a secure future, with stability and order in their lives. It was perhaps his one and only dream and he was not about to little anyone snatch it from him, least of all himself. "I know you fear losing the hearts and minds of your citizens in this new government. I know that is your reasoning behind you wishing to do away with the stormtrooper armor. I am saying that iconic armor is what is needed. Can the stormtroopers still do their jobs in perhaps new and better armor? Of course they can. Yet you misunderstand the need for the armor. In this new galaxy, bitter enemies will now become forced friends. The temptation to get a little payback in living spaces, mess halls, and during off duty hours will be high. It is simply the way beings are. Imperial army, Imperial navy, Republic soldiers and pilots these are are living, thinking, breathing beings with feelings, thoughts and emotions with experiences who make them who they are. There is no sudden on and off switch that they can flip that will turn an Imperial ace pilot into a friend of a Republic pilot. There is simply put bad blood between sides. Yet the stormtrooper, the most elite and feared professional fighting force in the galaxy can absorbed that bad blood with their shiny white armor. Already self-contained, the brotherhood they share will not be affected as both Imperial and Republic militia men unite out of defiance of a common overseer. There is simply put, no better group to over see the transition of men and material into the hybrid we wish to build. Keep the armor, allow both Republic and Imperial feel the boot of the Stormtrooper keeping them inline, and they will find new grounds to unite upon. It is an already vivid and iconic armor, and anything new would take years to install the same level of respect. By that time untold horrors and tragedies may have befallen countless men and women. Perhaps you simply seem these people as numbers, that a trooper horribly maimed in a bar room brawl is an acceptable loss as long as say the whole unit works together better in the end. Yet I don't see them as a statistic. I have been alive in this galaxy for a grant total of twenty-five years. That is twenty-five years of hopes, dreams and ambitions. Twenty-five years of interactions with people I have met, with places I have gone and things I have seen. Yes, that does mean that has also been twenty-five years of resources I have consumed, of animals killed so I can have what my body requires. Yet this also means that twenty-five years ago two wonderful people, Col Sabret Rustic and Ira Rustic, looked down and were happy about the new life they brought into this world. What a waste it would be if my life were to end because in this new merger, a group of former republic soldiers saw that I was an imperial, met me out back and killed me for the anger they felt due to this past war. Yet this story of mine is not unique, it is the same for every single solitary man and woman who has ever served on either side in this war. Do you really want to hope and pray to some unseeing God or the Force that the emotional beings that we are, are capable of simply turning on a switch and forgiving everything that has passed. Why hope and wish, when we can ensure that such tragedies don't come to pass. Really, I am proposing not that the stormtrooper becomes the enemy but, that the armor becomes the fall guy for the men and women serving on both sides in this war. If you can not see the merit of such a suggestion than clearly you are blinded by the very naivete that would consume a small child!" Deton looked around the room. Locking eyes with no one but pausing on the various Jedi in the room. Despite everything, to him Jedi were still the bogymen that came out in the dark, lightsabers flashing, and either took away your mind, or carved you up with their lightsaber. He had for the most part avoided them and all other Force users as often as he could. Yet here he was helping to decide the fate they would help play in the upcoming galaxy, and instead was getting bogged down by the irrational fears of lesser men. If the galaxy had a sense of humor, surely it was laughing at him now.
  20. "I disagree whole heartily, just because Stormtroopers give you nightmares doesn't mean that Stormtroopers are the cause of fear. I bet for those on Tatooine where Hutt law had been established, the people were ten times happier to see a stormtrooper, member of a legitimate government, that a hutt thug. Your reasoning is bias and I do not accepted it. You see the Empire as dark and scary. Clearly we are just far more stylish and effective than you in everything that we do." He glared at everyone in the room. Even those among his own party. He would have shook his head but it was unbecoming of him. It was like he was in a room full of people who had only half of a bigger picture if that. They were talk about taking people who were until yesterday doing their best to kill each other and forcing them to work together. Did they not see the inherent problem? If I had my pistol even during this negotiations, I might have shot the rebel delegation by now. Just being in the same room with these murders who have had a blatant disregard for Imperial life bothers me. The stormtrooper in me, wants to curb stomp their faces and make them eat their teeth. How can they or I expect everybody in the military to fall into step so neatly. There is bound to be tensions, back allies fights and beatdowns, poisoning and assassinations. Just watching Admiral Starlisk talking has made me want to shoot him three times already as murderous rage overtakes me. "Combining the army and the navies are all well and good. However, we don't need a complete overhaul to do it. The ships of both Navies are perfectly fine and in working order. Keeping them in service but using them as a united front will be far better, than scrapping countless ships, turning around and rebuilding countless more." Gripping the back of his chair he looked to his right before looking at the rebel delegation once more. "Truth be told I believe stormtroopers will play an critical part in this new system. When was the last time you had heard of a Stormtrooper being bribed? Coerced or some how convinced against doing his duty. You may not know this but the reason the Stormtrooper corps existed outside of the command of the Imperial army and the Imperial navy is due to one of the stormtrooper's other services. That being to make sure government property stays with in the hands of the government. In this new government where enemies will now be forced together as friends, what better group to continue to keep the peace than the stormtrooper? Who else will you find willing to keep an uprising of disgruntled republic troopers from overtaking a star destroyer they get stationed on. Who to ensure that a vengeful Imperial pilot doesn't attempt to crash a machine of war into a civilian population center. No in keeping with the ideal of the Stormtrooper they will need to stay around as the elite fighting force they are, if only to ensure that this hodgepodge of a military can be forced to work together. Furthermore, I believe such an elite group should be answerable only to the supreme commander." He didn't dare pause as to do so would invite interruption in this crowd. Instead he barreled on forward leaving no gaps for a person to interject with. He look at Raven, before speaking. "The military will be used what it has always been used for, securing our populous. In order to ensure that there is a peaceful, stable, and secure society we must remain vigilant even though our war with ourselves is over." Redressing the entire crowd he asked a question. "So lets recap, We have a system of checks and balances correct. Now who checks who?"
  21. If there was perhaps one person he should hate more than Starlisk, it was the man speaking now. Yet, it wasn't hate that filled his breast when the man spoke but, instead understanding. Though this man had been his enemy, and had been partly the cause of the most horrific tragedy he had, had under his reign. That had in the end truly been a fault of war, and not a malicious act meant to wipe out untold number of lives. He mentally grimaced, as he knew there were still beings in the hospital behind that particular event. The wounds in his mind were fresh still, for it had been the among the greatest of blows and blunders against him. To forgive such a thing would take a great deal but, he understood why it had happened. He watched the man as he spoke, and for some reason found himself agreeing with his words. To build this new government lusting for blood would be a terrible thing indeed. It would undermine the very united front we are trying to build. "It seems that I agree with the well spoken gentleman. In order to establish....trust in this new Galactic Order, I shall suggest that we let the nature of beings be our guide. A semi-pardon for all individuals. Semi in that should they step over the lines we build here, we can hit them for their new crime, and try them for war crimes as well. People are what they are, hero or villain old habits die hard. I say allow the pardon to present a unified front, and allow the military council to actively keep an eye on individuals who have been pardoned. It is risky, if say a psychopath gets loose but, perhaps with vigilance, we can catch a villain long before their villainous ways hurt another." It is a compromise, but that is what this government needs. Compromises at its formation so that there will be no need to compromise later. Still this is dangerous and I am sure all in attendance save maybe Faust will be as conflicted about this decision.
  22. Deton noted with some displeasure that the jedi witch shook her head as if disproving of what he had proposed. He however was still unsure as to why this know nothing captain was allowed to sit at the same table as he. Had this been a different situation he would have had her carted off in chains to await the sentencing she no doubt deserved for crimes against the Empire. As she began speaking from her chair, the Emperor could barley be of a mind to listen. Especially as it sound like she was sprouting a much gutted version of what he had already proposed. Jedi arrogance at its finest. No doubt only listens to others who command the Force. Would be nice to arrange an accident of some sort and watch her disappear. Her and any other Jedi. The Jedi grandmaster however, delivered far better words. Ones that he had perhaps wished to hear for quite some time. A Galaxy with out Jedi, what a glorious day indeed! If only they had done this sooner rather than later. Why the galaxy itself would be a different and far better place. Nodding subconsciously as the Jedi spoke he was clearly supporting the move made by the Jedi, abet for different reasons. Yet snapping him from his daydream came a request from Faust. It was indeed simple enough, a governmental pardon for all who were apart of grievous war crimes. He knew what his answer would be, yet the lack of a moderator made it difficult to interject when needed. Yet the sudden explosion of emotion was one he had a heartfelt agreement with. One that he back even though it came out of the mouth of a sixteen year old girl. If anything that is what the galaxy needed right now, some one to help put it back together who might still own the rosy sunglasses that accompanied the eyes of children. A less jaded view of the galaxy and all of its shortcomings as well as the follies and pride of men. Discreet as it was, a smile did appear on his lips as his young officer continued. One that had proven her worth before to him, and had earned quite a few medals, that she would no doubt never receive, as these talks marked the end of the Empire. As the Grandmaster began to speak, Deton came to a starting conclusion, he was in a room full of children. It was strange but there was a clear and marked difference between those who had tasted war for a number of years and were older and wiser, and those who had only recently come onto the scene of true power. The question was, where did he stand? Was he among those who could be considered jaded yet men? Or was he just as naive and idealistic as the children who waged a back and forth war of worlds at a rather finely spread table. He looked towards the Republic delegation as a spark of life seemed to fill his enemy. Listening to his words he noted, that between the two of them, perhaps they would be able to wrestle the galaxy to an acceptable future. Though the man was clearly too soft. Deton had been in the military since he could talk in his book. It was easy to allow darker and more baser emotions get to you. Easy to find yourself following a dark path as the years of war began to blend and blur together in your life. A true solider didn't let it get to them. Didn't commit the atrocities if they truly were fighting for what they believed in. For whatever reason Faust had seemingly forced good men to do such things. However, had they been forced? Or where they just happy to have an excuse? That was the question. Sadly it seemed that the Admiral had, at some point violated his own principals as he seemed far to eager to agree with the mass murder in the room. It was time to speak up once more. He turned to face the room, if only to get the house back in order. Otherwise it would degenerate into numerous side conversations, and there would be no progress. "Let us tackle one issue at a time. It is agreed that when we leave this summit, a new government, blending the best of all worlds will have formed. With that in mind, least us make our first motion. The processing of war criminals. Should they or should they not be pardoned? Each side has had a history of unimaginable bloodshed on its hands. Men and women have been pushed to the brink countless time, and of course a few would fall into the deep dark abyss of insanity, no matter how temporary. Others might not be marred by the mark of insanity, by their crimes just as vicious and their reasoning just as believable if not just. " His voice lowered from a booming command, to a soft roar. "We hold their lives....and ours in our hands here. SO let us take a vote! Lets us see where we shall stand on such measures!" If only to convince Faust that his presence will not be needed at this discussion. Surely this is the only item he had cause for.
  23. As the group was herded like sheep into the next room, Deton mentally prepared himself for what was to come. He was a stormtrooper, bred that way by his own choosing, after rejecting the life of a naval man. For all intents and purposes he had been born and bread a military man. Which along with tough decisions had always mean that the more black and white the world seemed, the easier it was to live. To him if something wasn't black, it was white and vise versa. Yet here he was about to enter an arena full of silver tongued murders, thieves, back bitters, and beings of powers he had a hard time fathoming. Yet while most men would cower under the prospect, he welcomed the challenge, believing himself to be the most capable of all of them there, in terms of martial ability and mental prowess. He was the best of the best, made of the finest Imperial stock one could have. He would show them all just what it meant to tangle with a being such as he. After all one did not need a blaster to disable his enemies he had found. Looking around the room, the silence of the beings in the room, confirmed what he suspected. That they were all either too afraid to talk or had no idea what to say. It was up to him then, the Emperor of the galaxy to lead the way. As it was and always had been. It was fitting that in killing his own command he must take the first steps to do it. Such was part of the burden of leadership. His voice came across both booming and commanding. It was not particularly loud, but the force behind it was enough to garner the attention he needed. "First we understand that as we are now...we can no longer continue. Our powers have been vastly depleted, yet our will to fight is strong enough that we would keep the galaxy mired in war for the next thousand generations. To that end, we meet not to increase or gain our own personal power." Deton's eyes shifted over to the beings that he had identified as Force users in the room. The movement was quick but the message was there. "Instead despite our difference, we meet because the galaxy believes in us, and it is our duty to provide for the beings in the galaxy the best possible future. With out further a due, I suggest our host be a moderator for the coming discussion. After all each side has its own...strengthens to bring to the table. For the good of the galaxy we must bring these strength to bear, annihilate our weakness and ensure that for the good of the galaxy, we succeed here, for if we fail, we should be considered no better than the lowest of the low. It should be understood simply that out of all of us here, none of us our qualified to lead the galaxy in this new age. Instead we shall need to find a new champion or champions. One unmarred by the bitter hatred we have for each other. I propose a system of checks and balances be the topic of discussion. We here, each of us represent a greatly exaggerated power. The Empire has always had a strong, overwhelming executive power as its form of government. While the Republic in opposition decided that many voices were better and consolidated all of its power in the senate. With their unique powers, both Jedi and sith have spent their time passing down judgments on those of us not...gifted with their talents. Even going as far as to wear robes as if they were members of a judicial court. Claiming to be the same as us, while holding themselves above us. Granted each one has their own views but, that is simple a difference in opinion. " He paused for a moment, marking sure to partake in water not wine, out of the refreshments laid before him. Even if the room was free of the all invasive Force, he much rather keep his wits about him, then become a drunk fool. The brief silence in his mind also gave members of the delegation time to evaluate his words so far. To see the self inspection he had presented before them. Yet he would give them no time to argue it, instead he continued on. "I believe that we should have three if not four primary heads in order to leader the galaxy. A Premier Executor who would serve as an executive leader. One who could theoretically limit the arms of government. After all he would be our face as such direct and immediate action will need to be among his chief abilities. In that the Empire has always had a rather strong affinity for. The Premier would be our top authority to investigating misuse of power in say an established senate. Naturally any changes to the senate, such as adding new senators or a change in the senators' pay would be under his jurisdiction as he would have the final word.A veto ability would be useful for any bill that passes without an overwhelming majority. Then in keeping with his first strike abilities he can also authorize and oversee limited tactical strikes without a declaration of war from the senate, keeping within to his role as a first response leader. In bringing the Republic's strengths to play we shall need a senate of sorts. It would be a group that could bring planetary matters to the notice of the government and resolves fluid issues like commerce resolving case and point regulating Bacta. As well as other diplomacy issues such as interplanetary disputes or warring factions like the Jedi and sith. Just as the Premier Executor has the ability to check on the senate they will have the ability to check on him. They should have the ability to call for a vote of no confidence in the Premier Executor provided they can prove a misuse of power, poor decision making, or incompetence. In case of his veto, they can override it only with an overwhelming majority. Should it come up at any point, the senate is the body that declares total war. There should be a position similar to a Grand moff, to preside over the senate. This person should perhaps be a member of a different branch and be a potential successor to the leader of the military council. After all in order to keep military decisions out of the hands of those who do not understand war, there should be a separate military council. After all rumors are afoot of a police force drawn together by a few core world members. Should a new government be force to rely on an independent police force? Who would watch over them to make sure they in themselves don't become corrupt with power, and have the ability to bring down the hammer on a para-military organization as they are rumored to be. Who will protect our worlds, from pirates, the infamous black sun, that I believe both sides have had dealings with in the past, and all other manners of violence that can be perpetrated either by outside forces or within? Also do we dare let our guard down after being invaded by a different galaxy? Of course this council will have limits. They would need approval of the Premier Executor to launch tactical strikes. Perhaps this rumored law enforcement agency will find evidence for things outside of their jurisdiction, upon which then it would be up to us to handle such threats. Though it would take another event of proportions equal to invasion to allowed a total war state be declared. Of course there will need to be a designated head of such a body. A Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces who would also serve as the Military council's liaison to the senate, and receive orders of tactical strikes from the Premier Executor. This person command all military assets. The council is like his board of advisers. This allows a military mind to be behind the quick strike decisions made by the Primer who may not be as well versed in combat as those of us assembled are. It also stands to reason that should the Premier Executor be assassinate, this person be immediately placed in the role of Premier Executor, as a state of emergency that severe warrants in most cases a military response." He paused briefly, struggling to keep his face straight. The next part of his proposal was hard for him. He had a certain and justifiable dislike of Force users. Mainly with those who called themselves with Jedi or Sith, or claimed to follow a 'dark' or 'light' side. Years on the battlefield, made one hard, but it didn't make one emotionless. To equate his military experience with his ability to control his emotions expressions on his face would be folly. There was little doubt that speaking from behind his helmet would be preferable for this part, as it would keep the utter disgust from creeping onto his face. Still to his credit, he was the face of the Empire, and he would be damned to little his own emotions betray the well-being of those under him. "Though the Jedi and sith spend most of their time warring and tearing up the galaxy with their political views, perhaps we would be better served if we gave them both an equal part in the government. Or we could simply kill them all. I personally like that plan. Allowing a tribunal of Jedi and sith to work together in tandem as a judicial system of sorts. Surely their Force powers, will be instrumental in allowing the law to be applied and tailored to individuals, thus protecting the individual, and reducing the chances of sending an innocent man, woman or child to an unjust punishment. They could also accompany the senate in terms of diplomacy, in order to maintain that all sides were being dealt with in the best manner. As they are clearly combat ready, it would also reduce the need of an armed guard for senators on diplomatic missions. Finally their talents would be put to a particular use, besides cutting up my men and allies with their various color lightsabers. Frekin saber jockeys. Of course such a body would indeed have quite the power. As such they will be listed as military assets and placed under the power of the executive branch. After all one keeps their friends close but their enemies closer. Besides when they mess up, and they will, as it is inevitable conclusion, the damage the do will be limited by a quick response, instead of the need to gear up for war. This ensures that they have the power to check the senate by interpreting the laws. While at the same time, keeping them with in the bounds of the governments power. As well as forces them to see each and every person they inflict their power on. Hear their stories, get to know them, instead of a simply mind trick, that in the end embarrasses the person and destroys in some cases all they hold dear. Never mind keeping them from being in command of any person willing to fight to secure a brighter future for the galaxy. Especially should either group decide to try and use their Force powers in an adverse way, they would be able to be handled in the most efficient way, by the department most capable of handling the offender. Or in other words a bullet for each offending saber jockey's skull. Plain and simple. Perhaps such a tribunal should cause the creation of a government sponsored and created Force education system. The two sides would initial have a say in the curriculum, but eventually it would allow for both Jedi and sith to turn to their religious ways, instead of being dragged into the realm of politics. Their replacements would be far better suited to the needs of the galaxy than either respected order. Plus that would then out the military council in a better position to check the Premier should he become corrupt. With all of that said, I believe that beyond that there are other matters to be discussed. Such as reallocating assets, and supplies, but first and foremost a style of government must be decided on before we progress any further. After all there is the matte of stationing capital ships at each planet, or establish bases for Fleets to reside at. Such ideas have its merits, but are less important than the matters I have brought to this peace table." His hands rested on the back of his chair, having felt that sitting down would destroy the commanding presence he had established. Still with his first piece out, the refreshments in front of him, did indeed look tasty enough to slip one or two pieces of fruit in his mouth while he awaited a response.
  24. "I'm just an idealist with no gift for politics," More like a destructive anarchist seeking to wreck the galaxy.... His eyes shifted as his once greatest foe did something as normal as taking a phone call. Though his body did not show it, there lurked under the surface a murderous rage for the Republic commander he just greeted. The rebel troopers that had fought and died in waves against him and his men were not his enemies. They had just been tools of the currently free Jedi master. To think this Jedi is just sauntering about free, when he should be behind bars, if not that, than having a blaster carbine discharged in his face. Well trained he was in resisting the mental manipulation powers of the Jedi. Well versed in their God-like abilities, he knew how to counter any forays into his mind. Unfortunately, he simply did not care if the Jedi could hear his thoughts, feel the amount of loathing he had for the man. It was fortunate that his guns were removed from his hip. Had the familiar weight rested there, he might have been temped to blast the Jedi commander until he ran out of ammo. He noticed a significant difference in demeanor by those around him. A cursory glance indicated the arrival of Fasut. Only the single raise of an eyebrow was shown on the Emperor's face. Where Faust was busy sending chills down people's spine's Deton was only pour out a sense of peace and serenity around him. His thoughts at least on the surface ran rampant. Yet each thought led toward the base need of satisfaction, as well as the need for it. He watched one of his officers, the one he had been briefed about the most, damn near trip over herself at the coming of Fasut. Lot of saber jockey's in the room. No guns.... this should be a fun peace conference.
  25. Neon flashes and bright colors greeted the shuttle on its approach downward. Deep in the hold, where only the dignitaries laid, the clatter of armor was heard. With calm deft hands the pilot at the helm brought the shuttle in as smooth as peach fuzz on a mature fruit. In typical Imperial fashion the bright red robes signifying the elite honor guard filed out. It was perhaps the last time the display would be seen in the galaxy. In two rows the created with other Imperials quickly lining up to salute. The echo of heavy boots reverberated outward as a lone figure sauntered down the ramp. The custom fitted fitted boots made a rhythmic sound. One that distracted the first observer from the jet black double-breasted tunic and trousers made of the finest spider silk. Dressed like a shadow he stood out in stark contrast from the red and white file soldiers. His armor weave cape flowing behind him as he stepped out onto the platform. Two gleaming pistols; replacements for what he once had, gleams as the cloak blew back. A single eyebrow was raised as he took in the surroundings. Removing his pistols, two troopers took them from him, disarming him in front of the eyes of everyone. He strode forward only stopped to watch one stormtrooper get back roomed. He shook his head briefly. Despite everything the soon to be former Emperor still felt for those under his command. No matter how short that continued relationship would remain. The gate was passed through effortlessly. All the was left was for someone to lead the way.
