  1. "Medicine requires a stockpile of knowledge to deal with individual circumstances. The Force, Jedi training is a different kind of training. It is instinctual, it is a power and knowledge and skill-set already within you that must be unlocked. Once it is, then you will be ready to move forward exploring all the possibilities the Force presents to you." the Jedi Knight began toward his eldest pupil as the other two did as he instructed and left to rest before their trip. "Ilum is not a place for a vacation either Adrian, it is one of the harshest environments known in the galaxy, with the best crystals for building lightsabers and other weapons in the galaxy. Surviving here would be the hardest part and it will require everything I have taught you and more to even travel to the location for these crystals. This is going to be more testing than any Warzone on Onderon ever was, and I wouldn't take you there unless I thought you were ready." The Jedi Knight then bowed hurriedly to his padawan and departed from him, heading down to the enclave and into his room where he prepared for the arduous journey ahead of them all.
  2. The behavior of his eldest padawan was unexpected, but made sense. This emotional outburst was of course not allowed by the Jedi Order for condoning it could lead the man down the dark side, but Adrian's intent was pure. He just wanted to protect his fellow students, and that was admirable. That was something worthy of respect. When they graduated to Knights, this sort of behavior is what Joreel would look for in squad leaders, and it is what he wanted them all to exhibit. True kinship with one another, a family. "Adrian," Joreel said in a calm voice as if the accusation thrown by his eldest padawan had slipped past him without his notice, "I did not enter her mind at any time, rather, her thoughts were within the Force itself. Much like a neighbor who is talking so loudly you can't not hear about the wife who was caught in bed with a Wookiee. Her thoughts were not her own, she spoke her mind in the Force itself and I heard them as clearly as if she spoke. I was not aware miss Halo was adept at telepathy with the Force, or if she has any idea she is doing it remains to be another question, thus I thought she spoke. You can see how I am clearly off-footed by it all the same." Joreel had noticed the three had taken care of the task he asked as if it were as simple as them walking and Joreel this time made no attempt to praise them. They did as expected by this point. He looked to Ads now however, who though usually a louder member of the group had been oddly quiet. "Thank you for your patience Ads, I have an opinion that you and I share much in abilities and our mindset on the use of the Force so once Adrian, Halo and yourself have been knighted, and that will be soon," he said and looked to the other two with a slight smile to let them know he did recognize their steadfast progress, "I will be open to instructing you more in a one on one scenario, teaching you special ops and other abilities the Jedi Order, the Mandalorians and others had shown me that led me to where I am today." He paused for a moment and waited for everyone to become situated and ready for the next task and when they were he continued. "We are going to be leaving Lehon soon and heading to a few planets for your trials to begin. I feel each of you have the necessary skills to get you through these trials aside two things. The ability to use the Force to make you more agile, as in jumping large distances with ease, and massive speed of movement. Then lightsaber combat. I feel we can accomplish both at the same time. But for tonight, rest, and in the morning we begin the last part of our training." Joreel waited for the group to depart and theen made his way back to the Jedi Outpost and to his room, where he removed his imitation Jedi Robe/Beskar'gam and lied in the bed, resting himself for the next day. "Training Xae was never this hard, though I guess us being in love and all made trust and everything that much easier.," he said to the empty room before drifting to sleep.
  3. ((I meant to fix that post but never got the chance to, thanks to everyone for rolling with the awful post, I will make it up to you now that I have a few interviews lined up and have a date with the Judge set for me to be married.)) Joreel turned to Halo and apologized profusely for having had her thoughts stream in as words. "I must have been so entrenched in the Force that I heard your voice within it as clearly as if your lips were moving my dear," he began as he was rationalizing why he had such a profound mixup on the matter, "If you can find it in your heart to forgive me, I would most appreciate it." He smiled to her in a pleading way before he saw a magnificent sight. A boulder, a boulder far larger than one he had ever seen levitated by a human soared up into the air and out of sight for a mere moment before it crashed to earth giving a tremor that caused the Mandalorian Jedi to space his feet apart to get a firm grip on the ground. It stopped nearly as suddenly and a astounding hurrah echoed from the Jedi Knight's voice as he chuckled with a loud lion-like roar of laughter. "This is what I have been waiting for Adrian! This is what I have known you capable of the whole time!" he began as he allowed a hand to rest on the elder padawan's shoulder and he was bent over in laughter at the comically wonderful display of ability he just showed. "Simply remarkable Adrian. Just great." He stood himself upright and wiped the tears from his eyes that formed when over exerting himself in laughter. "Well, now I wonder if you can push and pull that thing, but I would rather not test that out and find you flattened beneath it, I wouldn't even try that," he allowed one last chuckle to go through before he addressed the group once more. "Excellent work, all of you, and I am sure thee three of you have the basics down for telekinesis. So I want you to just do one quick exercise for me and then we will get on to the last two abilities of your Padawan years that you will be learning." The Jedi Knight reached into his pocket and pulled out three credit chips. He bent down and picked up three small rocks with the other hand as well. and held them both away from his body but laying firmly in his palm. "Each of you, use the Force to pull a Credit to you, given all of your displays of telekinesis this should be a snap," he began still remembering that seven ton boulder crashing to the earth and suppressing another laugh, " And then push one of these rocks out of my other hand as well. Easy enough." He stood there and waited for the three to accomplish what should be an easy task for them, so he could move on to getting them in their last lesson before a good rest and their trials.
  4. Joreel broke his meditation once the argument had begun between Halo and Adrian. While he knew of the immaturity of Ms. Haloburner, he was able to deal, hoping to help her with training into becoming a mature Jedi Knight. He had not expected a war veteran to lash out at Halo for her obliviousness to his sensitivities as a Padawan. He didn't want this rift to tear apart the group. He knew together they could be strong, they could manage anything, become an unstoppable trio when they were called by the Jedi Order to do more. Ordo stood and called the Force to him, gathering it around his throat and allowing it to travel with his speech, echoing it loudly to bring the two bickering students to silence. "ENOUGH!" he bellowed loudly, his voice amplified tenfold by the Force. His head spinning from one Padawan to the next. "Adrian," he said, his voice stern, like a parent talking down to a child without shouting, just making them feel disappointed in themselves as the parent looked into their eyes, filling them with shame, "You know perfectly well Halo meant no harm in her words. She had no reason to offend you, no reason to want you to succeed any less than she did. If anything, she is trying to form a bond of friendship, of kinship even, with you, so that you might all grow as a unit, all help each other succeed. Be mindful of your feelings, and the feelings of others." His head now snapped to Halo, where the same expression held his face. "Halo," he said with the same level and stern voice, "I appreciate you wanting to help your fellow students, but learn to use your words more effectively. If you had said what you said to Adrian to me, I too would have been somewhat shocked in my own interpretation of those words. Think a bit more before speaking, the mouth has caused more pain and death than the actions of people ever have." He stepped away and looked at the group once more, and took a deep breath, calming himself in the Force before looking toward his three Padawans. "You three need to work together, support each other, like a family. You are borthers and sisters and while you may bicker, you should find it within yourselves to care for one another, protect and uplift each other. Your brother Adrian is having some trouble grasping this task of telekinesis. Let us help him like a family, support him so that he might use his brilliant mind to accomplish this task. "Ads, Halo. Lift up a piece of rubble and keep it held in the Force. Levitate it, and hold it there." his eyes came to Adrians, "Adrian, I am going to meditate next to you, aiding you in grabbing the Force yourself, feeling it's power and connectivity to everything, what I want you to do is focus your senses to only that of the Force. turn off your ears, turn off your eyes, touch, taste, smell, none of that matters. Sense only the Force, feel only the Force. And then guide the Force, mimick your comrades and make a piece of Rubble rise. If you need help, just call to me. Ask." Joreel walked over and stood beside Adrian and became still, the Force flowed through him as easily as it ever did and he awaited Adrian to start.
  5. Joreel had not been surprised at the successes and failures of his students. Adrian had been having a hard time focusing on the lifeforce of the Force itself, the concept of it surronding and binding everything, even inanimate objects like droids, rocks and the like, seemed to bewilder him. He would have to have additional instruction, some one on one tutoring to show him the concept of accessing the greater nature of the Force, and how it is in every particle of everything in the air, space, and is generated by life. Halo had been a forerunner who seemed to have had previous experiences with the Force, or she just was a true natural at it. Either way she seemed to pride herself on accomplishing more at a greater pace than the others. The Jedi Knight pondered if she would ever hit a wall, and he was determined to find some challenge for her to help her progress. Ads was a different story. He intended to show off his abilities gained from years of various understudy and Joreel while he didn't approve, couldn't necessarily blame the young man. He was bored with the remedial lessons that Joreel had provided thus far, a sad fate for a talented young man to be stuck in something far underneath his more advanced knowledge base. The Mandalorian did not disrupt them, though once each of them, aside Adrian, had done what he instructed he stepped forward a bit and began to address them again. "Ads, please do not do such a thing again, I know you covered this with your old masters, but there is no reason to bloat to your comrades. We are here to work, learn and train together, as one unit. The Jedi Order has great strength, but only when we are unified. When all of us can act as one we are impenetrable, unstoppable, and the peace that we preserve for the galaxy is unbroken. He finished and stood in front of Adrian and he allowed himself to produce an encouraging smile at the young doctor. "This will be your first test as a unit, together, myself included, we are going to help Adrian here. Life in war and his career as a doctor has left his mind a bit closed to the idea of the living Force, this is not a bad thing, and it is something many padawans have to overcome to be able to use the Force. It is why the Order tries to get Force Sensitives when they are children as their minds are more broad and open to new interpretations of the world about them, but it is not impossible to do in older students, all of us here now are proof enough of that." The Jedi Knight walked pas Adrian and was behind the students on the edge of the jungle-like forest nearby He turned on his heel to him and he lifted his arms, allowing the Force that was being generated by the abundant life of the forest. He allowed the Force to flow directly to Adrian, wrapping and surrounding him in the living Force. "Ads, Halo, please do as I am doing, allow yourselves to allow the abundance of the Force in this place to flow through you and direct it, like you did with the rocks, to surround Adrian. "Adrian, close your eyes, and try to see, see with the Force, feel its energy around you, don't think about midichlorians, don't think about organelles, ectoplasmic reitculum, enzymes, or anything medical. That is another skillset for a later date. Instead, focus on just the feeling of the Force, it's constant energy surrounding and binding every living thing. When you can feel it, when you can feel the trees and ferns and shrubs, the grass on the hill and the three of us who are connecting to you and aiding the Force in flowing through you. Say so."
  6. ((I will assume Ads has arrived)) Joreel turned around when his students came out to him and a smile graced his face to see them all looking fit and ready for the second and last lesson he would have them do today. He stepped in between all the scattered debris of the ruins nearby and with a motion of his hand, lifted them into the sky. "A fundamental Jedi skill is telekinesis," he said, walking in front of the Padawans, his hand up in the air, but now his fingers fidgeting inward, causing the debris to spin in the air. "The ability, as you can see, to freely move objects, or people in some cases, in any space you see fit. The larger the object, the more will and constitution in your ability it requires to hold and move about." He allowed the stones to fall to the grass and dirt and reached out to his students, lifting each of them slightly off the ground. "It takes a while to Master," he said as he slowly lowered them back down, "but it is a necessary skill that once learned, won't ever be forgotten." He moved behind his Padawans and stood looking at the scattered debris. "Each of you, pick a piece of the ruin, and then, go ahead and attempt to lift it into the air using nothing but the Force. Just like you reached out to feel my presence you can reach out to the stone and ally with the Force to have it sorround the debris and lift it as you need it to, into the air." ((I want this to be 600 words minimum explain how each of you mentally work out how to do this task.))
  7. Joreel nodded his head at Adrian and led the way to the cafeteria wondering if his other student had already eaten and were ready to continue the day's training. He marched himself down the hall, to find that the other two had yet to even sit down, which confused Joreel as he thought the conversaton with Adrian was far longer, but apparently not. Joreel walked past Ads and Halo and asked the cook for a sandwich which he recieved shortly after, sat down at a table near where Halo and Ads were, and began to eat, enjoying the natural veggies from this planet that covered the spread of herb infused nerf cheese. Once he was done eating the Mandalorian stood up and made his way out of the hall calling over his shoulder to his students, Meet me outside in 15 minutes for the continuation of our studies on the basic uses of the Force." And then he marched out of the cafeteria, out of the Temple and soon, out into the clearing he had found earlier, standing there and enjoying the breeze on his face as he awaited the arrival of his students.
  8. Joreel laughed heartily at Adrian's joke and sat down next to him once more, eating away at the pear-like fruit he had taken from Adrian's bagful. It was surprisingly delectable, Joreel hadn't tasted something as sweet as this since he had a vacation as a child to Concord Dawn. "Premonition is not one of my strong suits," he said honestly, chuckling a bit as he did so, "my abilities into seeing what comes in the future through the Force lingers around the 'something is about to hit me' area. I dunno, perhaps if I was in a galaxy far far away where the Force wasn't present, it could be considered supernatural and fantastic." He completed eating his fruit and tossed the pit across the room into a wastebin and then stood up turning around to Adrian once more. "Oh and the Force being a catalyst, kind of, but it is also the reaction, the reagent, it acts as the medicine and the effects of the medicine simultaneously. Healing what has been harmed. I was in a coma two days ago, now, I am about like I was never hurt at all. The Force allows these things, allows miraculous healing abilities, and I have some perception that this branch of the Force is something you will be most attuned to. Once I finished training you up to the level of Jedi Knight, we will find you a Jedi Master who has the knowledge to set you on that path, and show you how the Force can be even more expertly applied to injuries and sickness." The Jedi Knight offered his hand to Adrian to help him up so they could begin to make their way to the cafeteria and eat something a bit more substantial than fruit.
  9. Joreel sat and listened as his Padawan explained his medical diagnosis for his reasons for ingesting tons of fruit, explaining the metabolism of his brain and how it required high levels of glucose for short term recovery. While a good plan, Joreel was not sure how effective it was. Short term is fine, but he would need Adrian healthy long term if he were to even make the attempt to make it through his trials. "I hate to go off-topic, but given what just happened, I hope you understand. Is there any way to use the Force for energy directly, like the body would metabolize glucose? Might help with these wild swings and shocks until my body recovers its own buffer systems." The Jedi Knight put his hand to his chin thinking for a moment about his apprentice's question. He was no medic, that was obvious enough, he was a Mandalorian warrior, very few of his people knew anything about medicine, and they were only surgeons, not physicians. However, he did know quite a bit about the Force and it's application in the healing process. He had used it when he arrived here to help recover himself from muscular distrophy after his long comatose. He was sure the Force could be amplified in the same way for Adrian to allow him a speedier recovery from his malnourishment. "Hold still," he said politely to the Doctor, as he sat down crossing his legs as he had done before, and called the Force to him and enveloped it around Adrian overwhelming his body with the Force's essence and power. Joreel concentrated, trying to see the basic structure of the man's body and see where he might be able to use the force to make his body absorb the nutrients and repair what had been damaged at a larger rate. "The Force is more powerful than a diagnosis of pills and supplements, it can heal without the need for long waits and," he paused as he finally found the damage throughout Adrian's taxed body and began to allow the Force to flow through it, working like a magic snake oil cure repairing the damage that years of malnourishment had done to him, "it does not need to target direct cells, or be used as energy to absorb directly into you, it can just heal what is hurt, mend what is broken." Joreel worried that the simple words may not be enough for his padawan, but he felt that he would grasp it when the Jedi Knight withdrew his strength in the Force from Adrian, and his body felt recuperated and soon enough, the Mandalorian Jedi did just that. "You will still have to eat, but your body should be close to what it should be at peak health now. A dip in one of the bacta tanks tonight should do the rest I believe," Joreel said a bit more breathlessly as he wiped some sweat from his forehead, realizing now how exerting the power of healing through the Force had been. Joreel was no master at it, and he grabbed a fruit from Adrian's bagful and took a bite. "How do you feel now Adrian?"
  10. Joreel rushed over to Adrian when he had ripped off his blindfold, lookng grey tinged as he scoured his bag for resources. The attempt he had made to sense Joreel was far beyond what he should have done, far beyond even Joreel's ability to do. The Doctor had tried to logically diagnose which was Joreel, without using common sense, or even the Force to it's simplest nature and ability. Adrian would need some help overcoming the mind he had so keenly trained all these years to accept the Force, and for that he would require special instruction the others did not. "Ads, Halo, you are dismissed for the afternoon," he called over his shoulder, noticing the time had gone by faster than he had anticipated, "go to the cafeteria and get something to eat and then head outside about a mile east of this place, there should be a clearing with some scattered rubble. Wait there for Adrian and I to arrive."He knelt beside Adrian, who was still downing one of the many fleshy tropical fruits in his bag, regaining his energy as if he just had been in hand to hand combat situation. Instead of waiting for the man to look up at Joreel, the Mandalorian Jedi sat next to Adrian as he ate, the only sound in the room being from Adrian's teeth gnawing into the fruit. "If you are truly looking to regain strength you need some protein," Joreel said kindly as he pulled a wrapped protein bar from his equipment belt and held it in front of Adrian, hoping he would take it, "they taste bad, but they get the job done. I'm sure being a doctor you know all about horrid tasting stuff." Joreel allowed himself to laugh a barking laugh and then spoke again. "I think you are overthinking about the Force, it is a common issue for students who are not children. Trust me, I failed at first as well. I tripped over myself when trying to learn how to run with the Force to aid me in speed, all sorts of injuries hit me when I first became Force Sensitive. You, are not alone. You are just overthinking how to use the Force. "It isn't about trying to find out what my hair looks like with the force, the rigidity of my skin, or for you as a doctor, my specific genetic identifiers. No, we each have a presence in the Force, an aura, a soul. Something unique that identifies us from every other Force User in the universe. It just requires you to have faith in the Force, to use it instead of your mind as a tool, to reach out with it," he said pausing as he reached a hand to place on Adrian's shoulder, and with it a heat, as the will of the Force which Joreel commanded seeped into Adrian, seeping throughout his body, healing what was damaged, and aiding him to feel and view the Force that was strongly present in this room. "I have high hopes for you Adrian. Ads and Halo have some experience in these matters are are taking their skills for granted. But you, you have the potential to truly appreciate the capabilities the Force has given you, and you will become a fantastic Jedi for it." Ordo stood up and offered his hand to his Padawan. "C'mon, let's go meet the others outside."
  11. It took a few moments, but he could feel the students reaching out with the Force, using their known talents, or attempting to push them for the First time to connect with Joreel, who sat there, allowing the Force to pass through him and be easy to detect by the students. Each other the students responded in turn showing off both their prowess in the force, and their responses came in turn. He could feel Halo's presence grow in the Force, outstretching across the room, until it met his soon after, She responded in a way that while sounding confident, still didn't give a deifinitve answer of if she felt him, or another strong presence in the area, which given the amount of active plant life surrounding this place, could not be him, but he would assume she meant that she felt him in the Force. Ads simply blurted it out after almost no time at all, given his training with the Force before, this was not unexpected. The way the Force rushed it's connection was akin to a child clutching onto it's father's leg. It was as if he made no effort at all to do so. His previous training must have covered this all too well. The Doctor had a very different response though, while Joreel could feel the Padawan reach out with the Force and connect to the Jedi Knight, it was in a very different way than the other Padawans. While the others were satisfied with broadly reaching and assuming they had managed to find Joreel, Adrian did quite a bit more. He was detailed and tuned his feeling in the force to manage more acute things, as he could feel the Padawan's presence narrow down from the area all around Joreel, to just the areas that would aid him in distinguishing his presence from any others he felt in the area, which Joreel could also see, Adrian had latched to Ads as well. The skill work involved in this sort of sensory was nearly at the level Joreel himself possessed when he took his trials, with a bit of further instruction, he was sure Adrian would be ready for anything that required quick thinking and sensory Force skill, something that would surely come up in his trials. "Master Joreel, did you by chance leave something unsaid?" Joreel was taken aback by the question. Force Sensory was usually not questioned, but Adrian was so inquisitive, which him being a doctor made sense, that he was seeing past the obvious and following orders, and truly trying to understand the Force, and ascertain the next level of knowledge right before Joreel was ready to teach it. "I am surprised you are the only one to think so Adrian. While I didn't leave anything unsaid, I never said what purpose this served, why this matters, why we as Jedi need to train this ability more than any other we possess."The Jedi Knight opened his eyes and stared at his pupils, his eyes darting to each in turn to make sure their attention was on him. "We are at war, a constant state of war, with a group of Force Users that seek to kill us, and in the case of Ads and myself at the very least, had killed us on some occassions, though through the various methods the Jedi have we stand here today. The Sith, and other nefarious enterprises seek to kill each and every one of you regardless of where your skill in the Force lies. You must be ready for them and the only way you ever will be is the feel their presence in the Force before they have a chance to stab you in the back. "What you have done so far, was good, but I don't feel as if you all have it down just yet. It isn't enough to sense someone is there, you need to be able to feel different individual presences, and sort out who is who, recognizing structure, heartbeat, and the many things that make that person that person." Joreel breathed in deeply and looked at his padawans again. "When I reach out my presence to you, you all should feel it, a specific feeling different than if you were to feel each other in the Force. In turn, what I would sense of Adrian of Halo and of Ads would be different as you are each unique in the Force." The Jedi Knight reahced out to each of them, and allowed them to feel how his presence felt. After a few moments he receeded his presence to what it normally is when he wasn't meditiating or focusing on anything. Joreel pressed a few buttons on his wrist communicator, and two more Jedi came in from a nearby room and stood next to where Joreel sat. The Mandalorian stood up as well, and took a wad of fabric from one of the Jedi, which he showed to the Padawans. "You will be blindfolded, shuffled around, spun, until you have no sense of direction, and then, I want you to pick me from the other two Jedi here. When you find me, I will know. Words are not required." The two Jedi and himself each took a blindfold and approached the students. Joreel blindfolded Halo while the other Jedi blindfolded Ads and Adrian. After a few second, Joreel and the other Jedi shuffled them throughout the room each to a differnet place than they were, and spun them around. Once they were thoroughly directionless, Joreel and the other Jedi placed themselves surrounding the Padawans, standing in a triangle around them. He stood there and waited, not allowing his voice, or the command of the Force to speak telepathically to them, to give away his position.
  12. Joreel watched as Ads tried to wave at Halo as much as he could, trying to garner attention or something, the Jedi Knight could not tell. Perhaps he was just trying to get attention and his previous thoughts about the man were incorrect, time would tell, and for now, it seemed inconsequential to the greater instruction he was attempting to create for the three of them. The Jedi Knight's mind focusing back to the present he saw some preoccupation with the Padawans broke by Adrian. When Adrian had finished his story Ordo felt a tinge of guilt at the words. He had recalled the world of Onderon when the clans were more united under his father's rule as Mandalore. On a trip to Dxun, he heard stories about how the Mandalorians once conquered that world and another time when they aided a Jedi to stop the Sith from attempting to dominate the galaxy. His father had never considered devastation of Onderon again. Joreel had at one point, seeign their resourcefulness as something that could be added to the Mandalorian culture. Still, he had changed and did not war to touch their planet, to hear it was being ripped apart again made the Mandalorian side of Joreel swell up and desire to take down whoever had done this travesty his father had worked to prevent. Perhaps this is why the Force had drawn him to instruct Adrian. Soon thereafter Haloburner had spoken up about her past, but what she gave was scarce. Joreel now had a nickname to call her however, regardless of the few details on how she went from opulent Naboo to the undercity of Coruscant. She was still here, ready for instruction, and her desire to learn would take her far. Ads, who had a full name Joreel thought was well more than a mouthful and Joreel thought he was quite right to shorten it. Then came his story, and it was one of the oddest and weirdest tales Joreel had yet heard in his life, however it was remarkably common sounding with all the rebirths and the like. It nearly took all of what the Jedi Knight had to keep his composure and keep from laughing and the dark humor of Ads' past. "You each seem to have had quite interesting and unique backgrounds. I appreciate the honesty of all of you when talking about this. We need to trust each other in the Jedi Order, keeping no secrets harbored, only then can we work as a unit and truly know each other causing an ability for us to work together in a way no Force could hope to defeat the three of you." Joreel paused and then sat down with his legs crossed and his hands resting on his knees and gestured for his students to do the same. "Now, I know you all have had instruction before now, each ending suddenly without any reason and I believe, short of death itself and even beyond that, that I will complete your training and make you all Jedi Knights. You have my word on that. That said, all of you have had different levels of instruction. Ads has probably had the most, but based on your timeline issues, how much you retain is a mystery, proabbly even to yourself. Adrian, I saw you concentrating the Force upon yourself, a quite advanced skill, very useful, though how you have fared in other areas remains to be seen. And Halo...I have no idea what you have covered aside the fact you have covered some things. "That said, I believe it is best we start from the ground up, covering all the basics before we move forward to the more advanced paces of the training and finally your trials. I know much of this will seem remedial to those of you who recall it, so please be paitent while we go over these things." Joreel easily called the Force to him, closing his eyes and breathing in deep allowing himself to feel full, at peace, ever muscle in his body, every organ, every bit of him could be felt, and then the world around him, the room, the plants and shrubery, and the Padawans themselves. "The Force is the most versatile and powerful living thing in the universe. It connects everything in the universe together, and to those who can live with it in a symbiotic nature, like the Jedi, we can accomplish great things through the Force. I remember the first time I felt the Force, the first time I could feel the breeze and realize there was no cloud in sight, I felt the wildlife near me fear the sight of me, and the plants encouraged by the light of the sun above. Nothing in the world felt quite so incredible up to that point in my life, and I am sure you all could have said the same. The Force is a blessing, and we must use this ally as it was meant to be used for the Light, the Good, to do what is right so that the galaxy may be better for our protection of it." Joreel opened his eyes and looked over the Padawan's, feeling the Force flow slightly through them, that open connection that is always there and ties them to the Force itself. "Tell me, how many of you can feel my presence right now?
  13. Joreel was offput by the sudden appearance of Ads, but even more so by his greeting. While the Mandalorian was no stranger to people with various sexual preferences, Ads seemed to be a bit too obvious with his adoration of calling Joreel master. Hopefully this would not result in the Jedi Knight having to instruct the young padawan that the Jedi are not known to be involved in such things. Soon thereafter, Haloburner has arrived into the room, and was quite animated, making a formal bow to Joreel, but waving like an enthused schoolgirl at Ads. Joreel wondered how he was going to keep them focusing on training if they continue to flirt and goggle at each other, especially when he was not the greatest example of such in his own past, given he was now engaged to his former padawan. Joreel stood there with the two other padawans came in and Adrian had arrived to class, not looking in great health, but better than yesterday, probably due to the amount of native fruit he held in his arms. The colors seemed to brighten up the man, and Joreel was glad to see he was doing far better than he had seen from him the day before. With all of them now ready for instruction, Joreel began to instruct his second through fourth padawans under his tutelage. "You have all come here to become Jedi, and each of you has the strength and companionship of the Force within you to do so. It has been a part of you all your life, aiding you in life threatening situations. Making you more deft when needed. Improving your skills in everything you do. The Force ensured your survival so that one day you could be here, with people like yourself, learnign how to use the Force to benefit the galaxy at large. "I know not all of us began this way, myself included. I am a Mandalorian. Born to the former Mandalore himself. I have killed people, I have waged war, I have done what many people fear from Mandalorians. But I was gifted, with something that my people knew in their enemies and rarely in their allies. I became attuned to the Force, I knew I had it, and I left my people to learn it. Thus, I have become the Jedi Knight in front of you today. A true story of someone who can forge a new identity out of the marred past. You all have that within you, should your lives have been as filled with shades of grey and dark as I had. “I want you each to share your story. Who you are, where you come from, and why you decided to come to the Jedi Order and become Jedi yourselves. Do not reserve anything, what happened in your past does not determine your future, and we will not judge you for anything you had done. You are in the company of friends and allies.”
  14. The Padawans were very varied, Halo and Ads were more in the moment, fast paced, and childish. Their fight ended like how almost all childish fights do, with someone nearly losing an eye. Joreel had a strong notion that this won't be the first of many issues with these two Padawans, but the Force guided him to the three of them and thus, his choice in the matter was little. The Force wanted all three of these to be under his tutelage, and the Force always knew best it seemed. Or at least, Ordo hoped. Padawan Adrian was different from the other two. at first sight he seemed introspective, something Joreel respected as he was always quite the extrovert and always saw the strength in the more reserved people. Adrian surprised him however when he rushed to aid Halo without a second though. The selflessness was incredible to behold. The man acted like a Jedi already, thinking of others first. Ordo could see greatness in him, and the man's affinity as a medic is a skill needed in the Order. Joreel was sure when they learned how to heal minor wounds with the Force that Adrian would be naturally attuned to it. Ordo could have easily used his knowledge of healing with the Force to fix Halo but having them work as a team was a better practice than him making things all better. "Thank you all for being a part of this team," Joreel began to end his conversation with the three, "Adrian, when you have finished up with miss Haloburner's injury the three of you should get as much rest as possible. Tomorrow will be tiring and straining, that is a guarantee you can all hold me to." Joreel bowed to his pupils and pointed toward the hall to their living quarters before he turned himself out of the room, down the hall Jaren mentioned before where leftover supplies and items were. The Jedi Knight wondered how he would manage three padawans simultaneously, given his only other padawan ending up becoming his fiancee, so their bond made training superbly simple. This, was going to be an exercise in training Joreel hadn't done since training new recruits on how to be Mandalorians, and even then that wasn't the most pleasant experience in the world, given how unprepared some of them were for the commitments and sacrifices they would have to make. Hopefully these three were more prepared for what they were in for. Joreel came upon the door to the random collected gear Jaren had mentioned, and upon entry the Mandalorian got about what he expected. For the Jedi Order, he supposed, it was quite a bit, while not the highest quality of gear, it was still good enough until Joreel could get his hands on some Mandalorian Iron. The Mandalorian sifted through the shelves of armors, grabbing the standard issue Republic armor set, a set of Jedi robes, some basic hilts for lightsabers, a few blue crystals. Joreel crafted his armor first as he did in his younger days, pulling apart the pieces of armor and attaching them to the brown Jedi robes he found, making them comfortable and protective, while not as protective as a full beskar'gam, the light weight in combination with heavier armor was a good balance for a Jedi Guardian, and for himself. Joreel looked in the mirror at himself and thought he looked stellar and like his old self again. Smiling, the Jedi Knight in Joreel had come to the forefront and it was time to craft his lightsabers once more. Given this wasn't the first time Joreel had crafted his lightsabers over, or even the second or third. This time it was a practiced effort and took no time at all to put the three lightsabers together, two single blade, and one dual bladed. Once crafted in their monotonous steel hilts, Joreel attached them to his utility belt on the armor he now wore. Feeling as if he made his way to the living quarter area himself, finding an open room he assigned for himself across the hall from his new Padawans. Taking off his armor, the Jedi Knight went into his bed and slept preparing for the next day. ------- He awoke early, per an alarm, so that he could begin preparations for the day's lessons he planned to instruct his Padawans on. Making his way back to the warehouse Joreel found a beacon and a set of eight connected transmitters. Joreel took four of them and made his way out of the Jedi Temple once he was dressed in his robe/armor mashup. Joreel felt better now he was in the outdoors, and without hesitation, he ran as fast as the Force would allow toward the beach and then finding a way around the cliff that the Jedi Temple was under. Soon enough, Joreel found himself in the exotic Jungles of Lehon, strangely devoid of beasts or sentient beings of any kind. Once he had ventured far enough within the jungle Joreel placed a beacon in the ground. Now that the last part of their days activities was set up, the Jedi Knight had to find a suitable place for their other Force Powers they would be trained in. This was easy enough as after a few minutes of journeying adventurously toward the Temple, Joreel found a clearing filled with rocky debris, possibly the ruins of an ancient settlement. Noting the location, Joreel made himself back to the temple and into the main area where he had first met his three padawans, hoping they were awake and ready for their first day as his padawans.
  15. Joreel was glad that the Knight was congratulatory of his and Xae's very prolonged engagement. Having that sort of excitement over something Joreel had gotten used to was invigorating toward the promise it represented in the first place. Ordo knew the Order was a good place for him, for where real friends showed themselves with good intentions toward each other, even if a few masters were unexpectedly short with the others. His mind was so focused on Xae though, he had forgotten to allow the Force to freely flow enough to keep him in the present, to be in contact with the living Force as opposed to the past and future. At his request, the Mandalorian Jedi took a moment reach into the Force and feel the apprentices, and see if the Force had any intent toward the three in the room who were possible Jedi in the future. The heat of combat between the two who had introduced themselves, Haloburner and Ads, seemed to be something the Force focused on far more than the other hopeful who had failed to given her name to the Jedi Knight. Joreel knew why this would be, his Mandalorian ancestry and their combat skills made them a good match, he could instruct them as the Jedi Guardian he was, how the Force amplifies all skills in self-defense and offense for the Jedi Knight, how it weaves itself into every movement you make to create beautiful and deadly strikes to protect those the Jedi are meant to protect. Joreel was also once a part of a Jedi Black Ops group formed in years gone by, as he was able to avoid the temptatiom battle and killing caused in most Jedi, and the skills used there could come in handy to keep these pupils as dedicated to the Light as ever. "The two sparring, Ads and Haloburner, they seem to be more suited for my style of instruction," he began to his fellow Jedi before continuing, "the Force always draws me toward conflict it seems, and who better than the son of a former Mandalore to teach them how to do it with honor, signity, and remain in the Light all the same." Just then the Force connected to the other in the room, the unnamed hopeful, and Joreel could feel power from him that he had rarely felt in the presence of another Force user. This one, this one is more than ready to be a Jedi Padawan. "The other as well, there is something about him that is different that will require a different set of instruction, but, I feel the three as a group, working as a team, could accomplish more together and be better Jedi for it." He turned his back on the hopefuls and looked to the Jedi Knight with a smirk on this fun. "This shall be fun, thank you for the advice on taking them on Knight Jaren, I will let them know of the good news and then be on my way to reforge what I have lost." Spinning on his heel the Knight walked into full view of the hopefuls and waited for a moment as the two sparring finished their respective swipes at each other before interjecting. "Ads and Haloburner, you can stop sparring I need your attention," he began loudly to ensure the hopefuls would stop their playing around and pay attention to what he said, he spun toawrd the other [ADRIAN] and spoke loudly at him as well, "and to you as well hopeful, I require the attention of all three of you, and your name too if it isn't too much to ask, saying 'Hey You' for however long we know each other will get extremely old for the both of us." He waited until the three had stopped and he had the third hopeful's name to continue. "Thank you, it seems the Force has brought me here for more than it being a location fo the Jedi. It appears that all three of you were destined to become Padawans, and you will do so under my tutelage. Yes, I will be your Master and Instructor in the ways of the Force until you pass your trails. Thus, it is my distinct pleasure to welcome all three of you as such, Padawan Haloburner, Padawan Adrian, and Padwan Ads. You have been assigned adjacent rooms down the hall, each of which should be supplied with a set padawan's robes, a practice lightsaber, a holocom, a limited spending card with the Order, and a pin that denotes you as Padawan's to the rest of Order should you cross paths. Please make your way to your rooms, shower, and have the rest of the evening to cleanse your mind. I will meet you all back here in the morning. Do you have any questions?"
