Raven's ship emerged from hyperspace above the planet Cardia, the planet where her master Tiana and her had been called to. Master Tiana's ship emerged from hyperspace alongside Raven's ship, and Raven sent her master a comm wondering what to do now...

'Master, what do we do now? And do you want to be called master or mistress?"

Raven smiled kind of embarasssed; and ran her hand through her hair awaiting a response....

Raven Rcieved the Comm The Heritic and turned away from the barren planet and towards the Star Destroyer, She commed over to her master.

"Mas...er...Tiana I guess we are heading towards the Heritic instead!"

Raven figeted in anticipation as thier ships touched down in the landing bay. They both hopped out, Raven pulled her cloak on, pulled the hood on, and ran after her master....

As Raven and her master Tiana arrived at thier quarters, Raven answered her masters questions,

"Well Master, I hail from the planet Zinthos, I is a world that is close to the star it orbits. So as you can guess our people stay under-ground.

And to answer you second question my father told me I was force sensitive, I was decended from a Jedi and a Sith, and my father showed me some darkside magic.

And the hood, well some of it just reminds me of the darkness my home, and the other reason was to hide these."

Raven removed her hood, revealing the red scars around her right eye. They were not ugly scars, but they were startling.

"My father gave me those, and I really don't know much abouth the Sith."

Raven walked into thier room and looked around....waiting for her master to respond.

"I will expect the unexpected master. I will learn."

A balence, interesting...

"I prefer hand to hand weapons such as a Vibroblade or a knife. I have not experienced or tried the lightsber though. Well I would like to learn along the lines of Telekinesis, force powers that do damage to enimies. And whatever you are able to teach me I will learn master."

Raven Sat down crosslegged on the floor silent and thinking.

Raven Got slowly up as her master talked, Raven shivered as her sweat began to dry.

As the ball came towards her, she exhaled and concentrated, in her minds eye again seeing the web of thoughts wrap around the bal and force it upwards but this time it was alot harder

She managed to keep the ball up but was now very very tired...She sloely levitated the ball into her masters waiting palm, and stood wating, shivering with exhaustion and the infernal chill of the air....

A message came in from the Imperial Head of State Raven for the garrison commander.

"Commander, prepare your men for the assault on Königreich des Teufels. We must clear the way for a new Order of the Empire. Clean this filth from the planet, use any force necessary."

Jenna, a blonde 19 year old cadet in the Imperial Air and Space Administration looked questioningly at the Comm system embedded into her work station. She opened the call and addressed it to the incoming ship. "Attention vessel 'Black Falcon' this is Carida space command, you are clear to land at sector B-17 27113. Your command codes are little dated you are however cleared to dock at your convenience. Welcome home Trooper."

Upon landing, Jason would find a healthy complement of Imperial Stormtroopers and Sector security waiting to greet him.

Elsewhere in the Carida system the ship containing the head of state Raven and her entourage arrived out of hyperspace. She turned to her friend Robert. "I cannot thank you enough for joining my side on this, I look forward to our time together and wish you and your team luck on the planet Mykr, I know this will not be easy but I have every assurance that you are the man for the job." She smiled at him warmly. " May the force be with you."

Raven grinned. A turkey was not what she expected to be called. But it did fit the occasion. She turned to Robert. "As we have now wiped the sith presence off of this world, we must prepare for an eventual counter attack. I give you discretion over a battalion of men. The 48th Infantry and support division, though we were both trained as space marines, I am sure you would be up to the task."

The commander nodded at Jason. "Welcome home Nova Trooper, we would like to offer you a commission in the military again if you can pass a few tests. Would that interest you?"

He gestured to the other man and they began to walk down the metal corridors so common in Imperial Bases. Their boots making the distinctive clunk that had been heard in so many holodramas that depicted the rise of the rebellion.

The commander nodded strongly, stroking his chin with his hand as they passed through a scratched blast door into a vast and busy corridor. They brushed by orderlies running to and fro with ammunition satchels and boxes of anti-personel grenades. “I apologise for the seeming disorder of the base at this stage but we are mobilising for a prolonged engagement at the fringes of Imperial Space against the returned Sith Order. We will not fall to their influence as easily as the last time. Now here-” The man gestured towards the training area where five other recruits stood by. “-Is your possible squad, lead them through an exercise.”

Realizing that the locking mechanisms that attached ships together for space travel were much too flimsy to be used for atmospheric entry, Raven nodded and thanking the crew, she boarded her ship. As the crafts began the separation manoeuvre, Raven sat at the control panel, watching the planet atmosphere approach. She was a bit tired, being a senator had nothing on being a Head of State. Glancing at her datapad, Raven was dismayed to see several dozen new messages from various Moffs and provincial governors. This was far harder than worrying that her boots wouldn’t be shined enough for the inspecting commanding officer. Thinking back, that had been Robert. Raven smiled at that. Robert was very important to her, in a myriad of ways, they had been through hell together. All at the commands of Emperors influenced by the Sith. Raven glanced down to her bionic arm, covered now by sleeve and black glove, a wound once inflicted over a decade ago by a mistress of the Sith. She closed her fist tightly over the control yoke, hearing with concentration the whining of servo-motors.

How many billions of lives had been lost by the foolish ambitions of the Sith? A billion alone on the capital world of the Galactic Alliance, enough to make any civilian cower in fear by the very whisper of Trinities, Faust, or other Sith lords. Raven set the shuttle down on the gleaming platform and emerged to the honour guard whom she crisply saluted before walking with them into the interior of the capital garrison. As she walked, Raven knew that the Jedi would contact her to help her against the threat of the Sith Lords. They had to, did they not care for the galaxy? Her pulse quickened as she walked into her main office and saw no new messages. Were they all dead? She sat slowly into the still-too-large seat and began writing out a message to the Caridian Base commander, thanking him and his men for serving so honourably in the destruction of the Sith facilityat Königreich des Teufels.

Raven sat at her dark stone desk, as regal and as unlovingly carved from granite as the Empire itself had once been. She slowly worked over a stack of data cards nearly a foot high. She glossed over requisition orders and complaints from various moffs and regional governors, most seemed to enjoy the new Empire, but as always it was a dangerous game. Raven knew why she had been put in power over the new imperial remnant. Lacking a self-made powerful leader such as the old emperor Deton, the Moff council had instead searched about for someone that could inspire loyalty from the average citizen, and someone who was young and able to be controlled. The Moffs played a dangerous game. They had installed her, and according to the constitution of the Remnant, she had the ultimate power, so she began the democratic process that had been promised for so long.

With a stroke of a ceremonial pen, The worlds in the Remnant would experience their first Democratic Experience. A general election for the Moff Council. She would no doubt reap the consequences of that action in multiple assassination attempts. She shrugged her thin shoulders and moved on to the next datacard. There was an annoying beep from her comm display and a brief recorded message played out.

"Ms Zinthos. My name is Dahar Raikanda, I am the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order. In future correspondences I would beseech you to speak only to me, or to my hand Lord Paragrin. We are the only two in the current re-structuring of the Order that will be of any administrative or tactical relevance to you. The concept of a Jedi "council" still exists but please note that with changing times roles are changing as well. I believe you and I may be on the same page regarding the Sith. I would like to discuss more in person. It would be prudent to meet in a safe and private place. You may reach me at my personal comm. I would appreciate it if you kept this correspondence, as well as any in the future, private. Should anyone approach you claiming to be part of the council please respectfully decline to meet with them. Only myself and Lord Paragrin will be able to assist you with more than just an oath..."

What in the seven hells? She shook her head and ran his name through the imperial database. It came back relatively blank, it indicated that he was a Jedi knight, but it had not been updated with any additional names like Lord Paragin or the like. She shrugged, attached the recorded comm to a data packet and after recording a brief communication sent it off into the unknown.

Head of state Raven Zinthos, one time stormtrooper, and signer of the Galactic Alliance Peace Accords felt a wide grin spread across her thin face as the imperial commander of the Caridian home guard made his report. “Yes commander, give her permission to land at the executive landing bay 3, assemble the home guard in ceremonial dress, we will meet the Jedi delegates there.”

Imperial space command gave the coordinates to the Jedi Delegates and sent up a honour escort of ten TIE defenders of the elite Rancor squadron, their solar panel arrays painted a camo pattern of grey and brown. Meanwhile down on the surface, Raven waited nervously for her friend to arrive, hands clasped behind her back, in front of the honour guard of a dozen stormtroopers. Not in the traditional white armour that held so many memories of destruction and enslavement across the galaxy, they were dressed in armour that was grey and earth toned. While still stylish, it represented a vast change in imperial thinking.

When the Jedi’s ship came to a landing Raven let her grin stretch across her face again and extended her bionic arm, with its black gloved hand to the Jedi Knight, intending to pull her into an embrace. She next extended her hand in greeting to the Wookiee Jedi Master.

“I am very glad to have you my friends, it does my heart well to see you here on an Imperial world.

Raven gladly shook the apprentices hand that was only a few years her younger. She took a moment to reflect on how different her own life would have been if she had been born on a republic world instead of one subjugated by the old empire. Wht a different galaxy it would have been. Without Raven to lead the surrender of Imperial Forces, the fight would have likely gone to the Republic’s favour. Though not all post war strategists had concurred, there was little doubt in Raven’s mind, that with the fall of emperor Deton, imperial forces would have scattered. Much like they did even after the surrender, Moffs grabbing what little bits of the fleets that remained in an effort to stave off the inevitable Republic Invasion of Imperial Space.

“Now you may be wondering the actual reason I have called the Jedi to meet with me. I cannot thank k you enough for assisting in this. As you all well know, the Empire for many decades was run by one ambitious man after the next, most of the times heavily influenced by or with the assistance of the Sith Lords. They brought hundreds of billions of casualties to a populace that wanted little more that safety and security. It is my objective to see that that never happens again."

She turned to her old friend Aira

“Have you ever wondered why in the battle over the Death Star you faced me? I couldn't have been more than fourteen at the time, I was a failed sith apprentice pressed into imperial service for my various talents.”

She confessed as her eyes fell from the Jedi to linger over her own bionic arm. She flexed it slightly. Looking dismayed.

“I left that life and beliefs a long time ago, I received this as punishment. But the Sith teachings and beliefs are still within the Empire and that is the first reason I wanted you here master Jedi. As a hedge of protection against them when they decide to inevitably strike to take control of this remnant. For though we are much diminished in strength, in the hands of the Sith, the Remnant could still blot out a trillion more lives before they would be stopped. As we have seen with only a few Sith and Black Sun forces have done on Coruscant. As such I offer the Jedi and its order the protection of the Empire to strengthen and grow in exchange for advice and presence. No bounty hunters will be allowed to hunt for your apprentices here. I know that that many Jedi want nothing to do with helping the Remnant or even helping any type of government. Which is why I offer the Empire's protection even if you decide to not assist me."

She began to walk towards the executive offices with the jedi following behind.

"The Remnant has already begun the process of eradication of the Sith order on imperial worlds by destroying the sith temple here on Carida. You may inspect that site at your leisure…Though I doubt very much that anyone but your Exorcists wish to go there. Even the stormtroopers that purged the place with fire have been hospitalized with strange diseases. ”

She closed the door to the office behind them as they entered. Gesturing them towards the seats arrayed before them around a black obsidian table, with the symbol of the Imperial Remnant in white upon its surface.

“As for how many moffs I pissed off, well master Jedi, I pissed off quite a bit. You see while I am a popular figure for the imperial citizenry, I was thought to be an easily manipulated puppet to put forth the moffs agenda. Well luckily for me, with this position comes ultimate authority. And I instituted Democratic reforms to the moffs councils. Though there no doubt still exists a faction that wishes to depose me, they have been neutered for now. Though I doubt very much they would enjoy the thought of me meeting with the Jedi Council, or even members of a non human race. Though to answer your second part of the question, THe Remnant would have broken away at some point with or without me.”

A protocol droid poured drinks and Raven glanced at the faces of the Jedi present.

“Which brings me to a question. Am I negotiating in good terms with the Jedi as a whole or a faction?”

Raven nodded to the Wookiee Jedi Master, “I have seen injustices performed by people of all backgrounds, and I know Jedi are no different, I am glad the Jedi Order stands strong, if unseen in the Galaxy at large for several years.” She looked him back in the eyes and smiled warmly. “My goal is a Jedi presence in the Imperial Remnant, if they wish to be a part of the government would gladly accept them as either advisers, or edit the Moff council to contain a Jedi presence. As representative of whatever Jedi Enclave they would wish to set up here. I would ask your help in protecting the integrity of the Imperial Remnant from the Sith. A score of Imperial Knights would do more to aide in the protection of the Remnant than a starfleet.”

Raven picked up her datapad and passed it over to Aira. It contained a detailed listing of a plague affecting several dozen Imperial Stormtroopers. It appeared as a hemorrhagic fever, progressing rapidly through the body, ending in death within a week or two. According to the notes it had been jumping from trooper to trooper without contact. The only common factor being contact with the Sith Archive on Königreich des Teufels.

“I appreciate any assistance in the matter.” She passed another set of datacards to Kirolocca. “Upon watching a number of IHN reports, some imperial citizens have also approached the Imperial offices about sending their children into the Jedi Order. In the old days they would have been sent to the Sith as I was, but of course we no longer provide that service to the Sith Order.”

Raven felt herself tense as one of the stormtrooper guards shifted unprofessionally. She almost thought it was the beginning of an assassination attempt, but seeing the jedi apprentice blush and look away from the trooper, Raven could feel a grin spread across her face. Jedi mind reading was not exactly the most appropriate thing to do at a high level diplomatic meeting, but she was young. Hopefully she hadn't seen anything too carnal in the man's mind. Raven distantly remembered the girl’s father from the time of the Peace Accords so many years ago, and marked her down as a potential very strong jedi knight, assuming she could learn when it was appropriate to use the force. Raven looked up at Corporal Andrews who was standing still as stone and she coughed lightly. Raven would need to re-enact POSLWJK protocols before they truly went to war with the Sith, as she could not afford to have her bodyguard so easily infiltrated.

She nodded to the Wookie Master as he finished his communication, he was quite the character she thought. A well known hero of the republic, and one time grand master. She could do no better for a friend and ally. “Would anyone like anything to eat? And Corporal Andrews, you can ask for miss Talis’ Comm info after the meeting is done, not before however.

Raven realized that she knew almost nothing about what Wookiees eat, she assumed some kind of meat, which the empire had plenty of. She did not intend to insult the Jedi Master with anything that he could not eat, so she tapped quickly on her datapad for the eating restrictions of Wookiees.

Raven said her goodbys to the Wookiee Jedi master as he went off to meet with the leader of their order. She considered him as he left. Once a famous anti Sith hunter, now he was doing diplomatic tasks. A strangelife the Jedi Led. He was kindly for a non human. Which, she knew would come in handy as the Remnant and Jedi order continued their relationship. He was nice, and though he towered over her, Raven felt safe in his presence. She looked forward to seeing him again. Her purple eyes watched him go and she turned to the remaining Jedi. The dinner was served and her and Aira reflected on their old friendship, the battle of the death star, and how they had gotten to where they were now. She turned to the apprentice.

“How did you join the order? Did your father enroll you? Or were you enrolled in your infancy?”

Raven took a delicate bite of nerf steak, and nearly jumped at the chirp of her comm unit. Quickly checking it she found a message from the CoreSec commissioner. She looked at the remaining Jedi. Whom she played the message for, “What do you know of CoreSec? Are they to be trusted?” She trusted the Jedi’s advice more than her own advisors, as they did not have aspirations of glory.

Raven nodded and entwined her fingers over her plate of thinly sliced Bantha filet alongside the finest cheeses. Her mind raced through the various news articles that she had read and watched about the Core Worlds Security force. They were formidable, though largely unproven except for their distant exploits on Thalassia. Alongside them, the Jedi, and the full Remnant, they could take on what little remained of the Sith. She looked to Aira with her large purple eyes. Not too long ago, they had been willing and able to kill each other, and now here they were eating, and discussing the resurgence of the Empire. No. Raven corrected herself, the Imperial Remnant. A different entity, a remnant that had yet to confront its past. There would be much to atone for. She smiled at the ambassador's daughter, “I wish you safety and strength in your training. I know that you are in good hands with my friend Aira. Perhaps she can someday teach me of the force as well.” She grinned and took a bite of the filet. Her mind wandering back to the Jedi Council member Kirolocca. She recorded a quick response to the Commissioner and looked to the Jedi who were finishing their meal.

“Will you stay here on Carida? Or will you soon depart?”

___________

Captain Jahn Masigner of the Caridian Defense Force looked at his control panel. It identified the incoming ship as registered to the Jedi Order and though he believed there was no threat, sent out a flight of TIE defenders to escort the Jedi to her landing pad. He smiled vaguely at her stutter. His own daughter suffered from that impairment, and he was glad to see it elsewhere than his own home. "Attention Jedi Vessel, You have been directed to land at Pad Alpha One Three One. Do not deviate from your assigned course."

Raven bid the Jedi Knights goodby and provided them an escort to their ships. Raven’s hopes laid on their shoulders.

Raven sat and began composing a message to the troop commanders about a coming mission to the planet of Mykr to gather the force draining creatures for their upcoming assault on the next Sith Stronghold. She dispatched it marked urgent and went back to studying defense charts and commed the senior officer in charge of the watch. “Commander, would you escort Jedi Eleison to my office?” She stood and swept a stack of datapads into the drawer and stretched. She looked down at the mirror finish on the desktop and placed her gloved hand over her own reflection. She didn’t like the tired look in her own eyes. It was depressing. As the Jedi Knight Eleison, entered, she extended her hand in greeting. Her voice was a bit tired as she said, "Greetings Jedi Knight, I do not believe we have had a chance to meet before, what calls you to the Imperial Remnant?"

Raven initially bristled at the name Empress. It held so many things unsaid. It spoke of totalitarianism, of the emperors of the old Empire. But she could not blame a Jedi just recently out of hiding for not knowing the proper vocabulary. She was bit taken aback with the girl asking to form the knights, but with the assurances from the Wookiee Master, Raven had no doubt that the girl was acting with permission from the Jedi Council. She leaned forward to give the woman a handshake with her bionic arm “I look forward to seeing you succeed in this my friend. I have a mission for you if you would like. The old Sith Temple here on Carida was utterly destroyed by the imperial fleet. If you would like to conduct a Jedi ritual to cleanse the place it would be most welcome.” She leaned to the side and activated the intercomm.

“Please show Commander Beck in, we have much to discuss about the coming military operations agains the Black Sun and the Sith Empire.”

She smiled at the man as he was brought in. "Would you be interested in taking a large force of men and ships to assist the CoreSec forces in their assault on Black Sun holdings? If you were, how many men and arms would you need?"

Raven smiled at Beck, her pale lips curling into a well practiced smile. Smiling was not a natural thing for her, but she knew it conveyed a feeling of welcomeness and trust. "You may take whatever force you deem necessary that could take and hold a city. When you are ready meet the Coresec and other Imperial forces at the Coresec outpost on Kuat. We will show the criminals that we mean business." She paused for a second and looked him in the eye. "Clean house. those are you orders."

Raven sat shuffling through datacards and stacks of notes until she found the contact information for one Moff Herrin. She grimaced and dialed in the comm frequency, almost instantly the mid forties man stared back at her with his blue eyes shining through the static hologram. He remained one of the few hardline Imperials in the remnant. One of her initial sponsors into the Head of State position, he had respected her past as an Imperial Captain, but he thoroughly disliked women in power, especially women who did not look to reinstate the Empire to its former glory. But he begrudgingly respected Raven for her order concerning the Sith. He had lost his only son during the Death Star Battle under the command of the Sith Lord Dagon. He had never forgiven the Sith for such a slight. After listening to Raven's bequest, he smiled and cut the transmission.

Raven sighed, stretched and began pouring over plans for the Bastion project.

The Imperial Remnant would survive, even with an eventual Sith Incursion. She needed the Jedi, now more than ever. With a woosh, the door to her office opened and an orderly brought in a report from the Sith Academy. She ordered several more troop detachments to begin their movement into the area, in case the Jedi needed them.

As Raven shuffled through stacks of data cards she felt a twinge of spirit in the back of her mind. A consciousness. A faint but unmistakable feeling. A searching for any mind that would carry its will. The Dark Side of the force. It bubbled and coursed through the force like an underground stream. Though she could not sense the intent behind it, it was enough to know that they were here. The Sith. This feeling mixed with the consistent contact reports at the Sith Temple was enough to stir her from the black granite seat and to her comm station. Hailing her personal guard and informing the Imperial Naval Liaison of her intentions, she departed to the ground based shipyard.

Two Imperial Frigates and the 189th starfighter wing were quickly beginning preparations for deployment. Raven adjusted her armour, based off the old imperial design for boarding operations, but sleek black instead of the familiar white. She headed to the nearest frigate that was parked at drydock, named the Relentless Viceroy. She grimaced at the name, obviously a holdover from the old Imperial days of glory, the name would have to be changed after this engagement. The Naval Liason, a nervous man of his late forties, bowed briefly as they ascended the drydock and into the Relentless Viceroy. With a glance of her purple eyes, Raven shushed the man’s fears as they walked onto the bridge. Looking at the command crew she began, “As you may know, the Sith have made their way onto our capital world. There will be no mercy given, and none expected if we should fall. Prepare for atmospheric combat. We head to Königreich des Teufels.”

In a few short minutes, the two frigates fell into formation alongside the 40 green painted TIE Defenders and green striped scimitar bombers at a distance of a kilometer above the ground, and heading due north as fast as their engines could launch.

As the CoreSec Corvettes came into sensor range, the director of Military Intelligence (Ubiqtorate) who had assumed control of daily operations in the absence of the Imperial head of state took the communications station in the heavily sheltered underground command bunker. His greying brow was furrowed when he responded to the CoreSec taskforce. “Commissioner, how it pleases us to see you in the harrowing hour, with the destruction of the Imperial Peacetime Fleet in action against the Sith Empire we are left nearly defenseless. On the other side of the planet, a Sith Wrym is attacking our ground forces, and across the planet numerous forest fires threaten Imperial settlements, and the civilian casualties are now breaching ten million killed from space to ground impacts and the resulting fires and ground tremors. Your commandos and fighting ships would be invaluable in the fight against the sith, and whatever medical personnel would be used in Triage operations in the capital. Thank you for your assistance, after this disaster is over the Head of State would enjoy a personal meeting with you sir.”

Commander Mazcet of the Caridian Academy ran his hand through his military cut stubble and cut over to communications with shuttle Bhotan. “You are granted clearance at dock 03847B9 your assistance and enlistment is greatly appreciated, please submit your holo credentials to the officer assigned to your case who will meet you at the landing bay, thank you.”

Lieutenant Cathryne Jonvi-Fieldgrey a young officer in the recruitment sector of the Caridian Academy rushed to bay 03847B9, who was slightly aggravated that she was not taking part in recovery or aggressive actions against the Sith Empire, arrived and stood at attention as the shuttle set down. The wash from the repulsorlifts making her long black hair wave like a flag behind her.

Cathryne Jonvi-Fieldgrey inserted the Ident chip into her datapad and glanced through the identity cards docufolder. SHe accepted the dna sample and placed it into the vial on top of the datapad.

Aidan Darkfire
Phu
Humanoid

She glanced over a few other bits of information and clicked the flag popup.

(This Humanoid is identified to complete an Imperial Knight Aptitude Test Alpha 1)
(This Humanoid is identified to complete the GA Human defection survey)
(This Humanoid is identified to complete officer candidate school)
(Imperial Database files are consistent with over 40% Human Genome content, Starting rank determined as Lieutenant)

She glanced up, a grey eye catching his green eyes. “Welcome aboard Darkfire.” She handed him back his Indent Chip and passed him four forms to complete. The first being a citizenship transfer request form. And the remaining three were various aptitude tests every recruit took before induction into the Caridian academy. She waited for him to complete the forms with the provided datapad and commed her superior officer, who transferred her call to the department of the Imperial Knights. She left a message for Kyrie and turned back to Darkfire. “Have you ever had any jedi training in the Galactic Alliance?”

__________

A message went to the Commissioner Mazzari inviting him to the office of the the Imperial Head of State. Imperial citizens, while inquisitive, were very thankful for the CoreSec assistance. Holocams of various news shows broadcast the images of CoreSec agents working hand in hand with Imperial officers in the Caridan Disaster. Causing widespread discussion in the Remnant and Galactic Alliance.

Raven pulled a dirty bacta bandage from her flash burned face. The skin on the side of her cheek and temple was red and blistered, she had not elected to get reconstructive surgery as some past Emperors had, but instead took the bacta patch and the scar that would come with it as a memory. So many had died in this seemingly pointless fight against the Sith Lords, the death toll was reaching over ten million and her desk datapad was overloaded with calls from a thousand Ex Imperial worlds either denouncing her moves against the Sith or Screaming for their heads. She nearly collapsed into her seat, exhausted from the last two days of constant stress and fighting. Her secretary was busy fielding Holonet news calls from dignitaries, expressing their sorrow and anger from across the Galactic Alliance, but none of those calls held any material value. No Core World of the GA would dare send a task force to assist except the valiant members of CoreWorlds security who were busy fighting fires, and treating injured across the planet. Plus their Corvettes would hold the planet against any further attack, at least for now. She looked over to a box that she had ordered, laiden with small white and black crosses with purple and black ribbons.

Raven heard the door whoosh open and her imperial knights stumbled through. Wounded to the bone and braver than the entirety of the Jedi Order. Raven stood instantly and saluted them, before hitting the medical action team button on her console and stepping around the desk to embrace the startled Kyrie.

“My brave Imperial Knight.” She began before addressing the Imperial Troopers who surrounded her, their armour slick with soot and blood. “And my valiant stormtroopers, the Imperial Remnant owes you each a debt of honour and gratitude that we can never repay.” She took the step to embrace each one that was able to be embraced, placed a small Medal in their hands and continued. “I have here for each one of you the Imperial Cross, which would be my honour to give to you for your bravery and distinguished service in the face of an Evil Enemy.”

As the men were gathered up by the Imperial Medical Brigade attached to the Head of States office, she was left with Kyrie, who was being treated by a young male orderly. “I am forever in your debt Knight Eleson, I only wish we had more of you. We have a much longer war ahead of us than I ever imagined.”

The officer grinned at Aidan, “Basic training begins tomorrow at 0500 hours, please make yourself comfortable at the dorms, a few additional tests will be conducted, and you may be visited by an Imperial Knight. But For now I am your recruiter, and you may ask me any questions you may have about the Imperial Government, Military, or other matters. Your bunk is 49A-2 you will find a set of armour matching your height and build there, please contact me if it does not fit.”

Raven hit a button on her control panel that was inlaid into the obsidian desk. "Please see commissioner Mazzari is ushered into my office, thank you."

The secretary outside bid the Chiss to enter.

Raven looked into the commissioner's red eyes and returned his bow before extending her hand in the typical core worlds greeting. She smiled and ushered him to the seat before her black desk. She remained standing until he sat and then sat herself down at her desk. She swept a stack of datapads off the top of the desk so that the path between them was cleared of obstacles and other debris. It had been a very busy last few months, and if she was honest with herself she knew that a lot of the normal paperwork of a head of state had been delayed and pushed down the line for another date. It would come back to bite her without a doubt. "Commissioner, it is a pleasure and honour for me to welcome you to the Imperial homeworld, as devastated as it currently is. I cannot thank you enough for the help your men and women are doing here on the ground. I hope this venture has not set you in too much jeopardy in the core worlds.”

She did not call it by its Galactic Alliance label as it was neither a functioning alliance or galactic in its scale. She wanted to call it the Republic, as its Rebel founders wanted it to be originally called, but she would not give it that distinction yet. For now it was ‘the core worlds’ and nothing else.

Raven smiled as she saw him look to the stacks of data pads that towered over her petite frame. “Again I cannot thank you enough, our fight is a righteous one, and one the Core Worlds seem incapable of doing anything meaningful about. Even their Jedi have only sent a single knight to help us, though she is brilliant, it is disappointing that they care so little. We have Imperial forces engaging the Black Sun at their fortress of Cloud City, though it may be exaggerated, I am afraid our commander Beck may be partaking in war crimes against the civilian populace of Cloud City. Every blow against innocents weakens our moral authority in the fight against Terror and the Dark Side.” She looked fervently at the large holo display that was on the wall. Showing a mix of still burning Caridian cityscape and slow cuts of a now burning cloud city. In the distance of both holofeeds a tower fell. Snuffing out innocents on both sides. She slammed her fist on the desk and looked to the Chiss Commissioner.

“You have a fleet, men, arms, and the will to fight. You can assist me by bringing your organization into the fold of the Imperial Remnant.” She slipped a datapad over the desk to him. “This bestows you the rank of Moff and Director of the Ubiqtorate. Our Imperial Intelligence lost many good men, including its last director in this fight against the Sith.” She held up her hands, “Don’t accept right away or think I am trying to bribe you into the service of the Imperial Remnant, I am merely offering you the full might and power of the Old Empire to pursue your crusade against Terror and Tyranny. Plus a great many high placed agents and assets inside the old GA. I think it benefits us both and CoreSec.” This was of course a gamble, but one she was willing to toss the dice on. He was a good man, and his resume was a mile long.
