Seeing the Stormtroopers around preparing it seemed for combat, Luke knew what he had to do. He touched the comm link on his houlder. "Captain, This is Admiral MacLeod. It seems that the Imperial Headquarters is preparing for an assualt. As such, all shore leave for our crew is to be cancelled and all personal is to be recalled to the ship. Once All the crew is aboard the ship, I want the ship's status upgraded to full battle alert. All stations are to be manned by the time I return to the Acklay II."

"Yes Admiral, it will be done. Is there anything else Sir?"

"Yes Captain, there is. Patch this comm through to the rest of the Fleet." Once he had been given the signal that his comm was patched through to the entire fleet he spoke again.

"Captains, cancel all shore leaves for all crews and go to full battle alert. " With that brief message, Admiral Macleod returned to his shuttle and ordered his pilot to return him to the Acklay II. As they flew back to the AcklayII, Luke opened a comm to Supreme Commander Goeth. "Supreme Commander, this is Admiral MacLeod. The Fleet is standing at full Battle Status and awaiting your arrival and orders." A short time later, Luke arrived on his ship and quickly proceeded to the command center to await the Supreme Commander's reply.

OOC: I have been informed that we have 1 SSD, 2 Vic II SD's, an Interdictor, and six ISD II's. Goeth, I know you're too busy (or too lazy ) to post at the moment so I'll go ahead and coordinate the assault from here.

IC:

*Geki nods to the mechanical/organic hybrid in satisfaction. Another powerful addition to the Empire, and one which could be instrumental in influencing current events.*

'Very well, Master Haphaestus. Intriguing, that you should term your duties thus. It is indeed a form of heresy that you must root out and destroy, and as such, your new title will be... Imperial Inquisitor.

'The beginnings of your inquisition await you. A dog named Nokrt, former Grand Admiral of the Empire, has rebelled and consorts with those who were once his enemies, the criminals working for the Hutt slugs. His demise must be brought about, and that of those who support him.'

-----------------------

*A comm is sent to Admiral McLeod:*

'Admiral, this is the Emperor. We will be leaving imminently. Your orders will follow momentarily.'

(Orders will be sent via PM).

---------------------------

*On the Emperor's orders, all security codes, backdoor keys, and encryption cyphers are changed in order to prevent treachery or manipulation of the Imperial war machine by outside interests. The new protocols and codes are distributed to the necessary personnel. The backdoor keys are in the sole possession of the Emperor, a distrustful sentient at the best of times.*

Haphaestus bowed once again. "It will be done, Master," he said, turning swiftly and leaving the bridge. He headed straight down towards the hangars, making a communication along the way with a stormtrooper staff sergeant. He was to have a contingent of stormtroopers with him for this one--there was a certain amount of power that could be siezed when one had white armor tailing him.

The Imperial Inquisitor reached the hangar to find one hundred stormtroopers already waiting in orderly rows and carrying their signature E-11 blaster rifles up against their shoulders. He strode down their aisle, then nodded once in satisfaction. "To your transports," he said.

Boarding only his small, nondescript ship while the stormtroopers boarded several military Raptor transports ((I assume that's what you use)), the Sith Master left the hangar, them on his tail. The most logical place to start was Nar Shadaa, and that's where he would head first.

EDIT:

A moment later, when he was about to enter hyperspace, he decided that perhaps stormtroopers weren't quite the best way of doing things. No, in order to have his way with Nar Shadaa, he would need Star Destroyers. He commed the captains of the three ISD IIs and the Interdictor cruiser. Introducing himself to them as the Imperial Inquisitor, he quickly enlisted their aid.

Certainly there were things that they were needed for, but this action was a part of that plan anyway, and it would not take long.

Soon, the contingent entered hyperspace.

Luke quickly acknowledged the comm from Sith Master Haphaestus. He turned to the crew of his ship. "Follow the Sith Master's orders as if the were the orders of the Emperor himself. I will Issue formation orders once we arrive." A short time later the fleet made the jump into hyperspace.

((OOC: I thought Carida was destroyed by Kyp Durron or is this a diff planet?))

A lone TIE Defender exits hyperspace in the Carida system. The TIE exhibits some scarring, and has two damaged solar wings, which appears to have been caused by several heavy impacts. Colonel Kaine is the pilot, engaged in a heated exchange with his R2 unit.

'You know, Zeka, that's the last time I let you take the TIE out without me. If we can't land here and repair, we'll have to pay who knows what prices to find the parts we need. If you want to go dodging asteroids, do it in your own ship.'

An electronic snort is his only reply. Kaine snorts in return, shrugs, and activates the comm, broadcasting on an open comm channel.

"This is Kaine Doomhammer of Borleias to Imperial Forces. Request permission to land on Carida. I have come to pledge my loyalty to the Empire. "

The TIE continues toward the planet, slowly moving into a high orbit, awaiting a response. On board the TIE, Kaine's R2 Unit, Zeka, continues to make minor repairs to the vessel, sustained during a recent trip through an asteroid belt. Kaine sits patiently at the helm, knowing that he has made the right decision to come here. He knows that his parents would never have approved, but Kaine always knew that the Empire is where he belonged. He had never gotten along with his parents that well anyway. They had wanted him to stay on Borleias, marry a local girl, and one day rise to command the local defense forces. Kaine knew that the local defense force was more like a boy scout club, and knew he would be Colonel for life. He wanted more.

'Zeka, for your sake, I hope we get a friendly welcome. Otherwise I might decide I need parts from you to fix the ship.'

Scubby... Tired of the needless brutality of the Empire.... Especially after the brutal execution of the admiral he had followed and the attack on Csilla... Decided it was time to leave... Packing his few belongings away he boarded his ship and left... He would of course need to change his name and transponder on his ship to avoid Imperial retribution...

Something interesting had happened. Haphaestus felt a calling... one from his old Master, his creator, the former god called Nurgle. He was nearby. Since the Imperial Inquisitor wasn't doing anything at the moment, he had no quarrel with going to see Nurgle immediately.

Hopping again aboard his small, non-descript craft, the strange being that was a Sith Master headed over to the Sith Temple.

*Hiss.

A flood of amniotic fluid spills from one of the various cloning cylinders concealed in the Imperial palace, draining away quickly and efficiently through the perforated floor directly in front of the ersatz womb.

Geki, born anew once again, the Promethean aftermath which affects his very DNA meaning that his face and chest are still horribly scarred, bursts from the cylinder and strides forward, his face twisted by the rage he still feels at being bested by the Jedi whelp. It is inconceivable that he should have fallen in such a manner, but it is also fact, if his memory can be trusted.

Geki doesn't bother with the robes held out by a nearby doctor, brushing her aside and storming through the facility as naked as the day he was born. Time is of the essence.*

'Your Highness, I-'

'Shut up. Get me a secure comm line to the Imperial vessels at Carida.'

'Sire, they have fallen under Rebel control-'

'You dare question me?'

'Of course not-'

'Then unless you want to spend the rest of the day finding out what your children's flesh tastes like, you will open the comm line. Now.'

*The technician does as bidden, working with a speed and efficiency borne of the terrible knowledge of the results of failure.

The comm line is open. Geki, still dripping with amniotic fluid, steps forward and uses the backdoor codes. The vessels above Csilla respond...*

From the depths of space, a comm message was encrypted for the ears of Emperor Geki alone.

Grand Emperor Geki... I would first like to express my sorrow for your recent loss at the hands of the Rebellion at Csilla. It was an...unfortunate... matter to be sure. But my purpose of this message is to extend an offer to you and your Empire. In years past, I aided the rebellion in secret, performing secret missions in shadow to aid the cause of the rebellion. But several years ago, the Rebellion refused to accept my help or to acknowledge my efforts to their cause... and so I abandoned them.

I will not lie to you Emperor Geki, for I know your power well. I am a mercenary with my own small force, enough to cause significant damage to those that I choose. But since I abandoned the efforts to assist the Rebellion, my men and I have found we thirst for the kind of action, the kind of thrills we experienced in battle. And so, here and now, in light of your recent loss, I would like to pledge the support of myself as a military commander, the support of my men as loyal troopers, and the support of what ships I have to bolster the ranks of the Imperial Navy.

I would gladly meet with you in person if you so wish. But I know that trust is not something to be thrown around. And so, as a courtesy gift and sign of my new loyalties to you, I will supply you with delicate information regarding the Rebellion and its commanders.

'Sire, the Rebellion has used some sort of extremely powerful Jedi technique to disable our self-destructs, and for some reason the vessels are no longer responding.'

'Why would that happen, Commander?'

'I honestly have no idea. The backdoor codes should be usuable as long as the vessels have power.'

'So, we have lost control of all of our vessels for absolutely no good reason?'

'Sire, I-'

*Geki flays the man until his skin is a crimson patchwork against the glistening wetness of his flesh, his anger boiling over. When he has finished and the man is unable to scream any longer, he jabs a gore-streaked finger at a nearby comms officer.*

'Give the signal for evacuation.'

'Yes, my Lord.'

*The Imperial stronghold erupts into activity as alarm klaxons wail and transports are prepped. The remnants of the Imperial fleet, two Victory-II Class Star Destroyers, ready for hyperspace.

Hours later the base is completely evacuated and the Empire abandons Carida completely.*

The Requiem and Mary Jane drop out of Hyperspace over the once great Imperial stronghold of Cardia. Recent reports said that the Empire had completely abandoned it little over a week ago and left for parts unknown. The cargo hauler took up its spot in orbit and released a multitude of ships and two squads of mobile suits.

They entered the atmosphere and began scavenging the base for useful supplies, equipment, or anything else that the Empire left behind in its rush”¦

The Hutt munificent-class star frigate, Regent's Delight, the rest of the Hutt fleet consisting of two Discril-class attack cruisers, the one Marauder-class corvette, the Hutt modified Imperial style escort carrier, and the Crusader-class corvette all entered the Cardia system. Sending off a communication to verify their arrival, Orsa walked out onto the bridge deck. Surveying the area, Orsa grinned in a matter of fact way.

"Drell was right. They are like scavengers. Officer, prep the landing teams. Let's see if we can't get our fair share."

Orsa laughed at the comment. What concerned him more was getting a chance to investigate the buildings as well as finding the Hutt. He had received a coded transmission only hours before that had informed him that the captive hutt had been recovered. He was told to come here for pick up.

Orsa casually viewed his surroundings from the bridge windows as the munificent-class star frigate bustled by his command ship and headed for the Cardia mainland. It would be only a matter of minutes before the grounds were swarming with thousands of droids and Cartel troops.

His meditation, however, was broken as usual by his communications officer.

"Sir, I'm receiving a message from Captain Drell."

"Very well. Put him on."

"Commander."

"Captain. I'm glad to see you could make it."

"Likewise, commander."

"What can I do for you, Captain?"

"We were able to make contact with the surface a few minutes ago. It would seem Agent Tobias managed to relocated the hutt during the rushed evacuation. He's in a secure underground location within the facility."

"Excellent news, Drell. I'm glad to hear that things are look up."

Drelled smiled with a little chuckled, "I know. They just keep getting better and better. Who would have guessed, right?"

Orsa frowned a little at the comment, "Rihn maybe... but I guess we'll never know for sure. I do know, though, that this is no time for celebration. This war is surely far from over and getting cocky won't help anything."

The smile dropped off Drell's face as he once again returned to a very formal manner.

"Maybe if you'd seen what happen at Csilla you would understand," he muttered, looking down.

"What was that, Captain?"

"Nothing, sir. I just wanted to know if you would like me to contact the scavengers and notify them of our landing parties."

Orsa shook his head, "No need, captain. I'll take care of the rest. Thank you for the information."

"No problem, sir."

"Orsa, out."

As the communication ended, Orsa turned back to his communications officer.

"Open communications with the scavenger vessels in the vicinity."

Opening communications, the officer gave Orsa a look to verify he was ready for him. Acknowledging, Orsa turned to face the projection.

"Unidentified vessels, this is Commander Orsa of the Hutt Cartel. We are currently landing troops planet side as we speak. We mean you no harm and are mostly interested in any possible Imperial intelligence, data, and electronics left behind. Most importantly, we are interested in the building itself. All we ask it that you leave the facilities defenses intact as well as power supplies and other components needed to assure it is operational. Granted, any aggression will be met with unmetered retaliation. However, we would hope for this to remain a peaceful situation."

Ending the transmission, Orsa sent out a all-fleet transmission for battle readiness, should the scavengers attempt to engage them.

Aries Mobile suits shifted off of their former patrol routes to keep the Hutt ships from coming too close to the Imperial command center. They merely kept the scavengers away for the time being. The workers had already dismantled one fourth of the total planetary defenses and loaded most of them up. Much of the temple had also been searched for weapon caches, equipment, vital components to various star fighters and ground base vehicles, and other items as well.

Not all of it had been collected, but at least half of what was left was just the stuff they didn't want. The commander listened to the incoming comm. He glanced at the scanners and noticed that they were vastly out gunned, but the cargo hauler he had brought was easily larger then any ship they had brought. ((Unless your flag ship is here, of course.))

A comm channel was opened up”¦

Orsa listened to the incoming transmission. He sighed. Waving his finger, the communications officer reopened the channel.

"Commander Kassad, I'm not going to ask you to return any of the dismantled defenses. However, I am curious how much you would sell them for. As for what is left, I do ask that you leave them intact. And no, we won't buy those off of you if you don't. But there is no need for a show of force here. We are not terribly different, you and I. I understand you're line of work and the importance of your operations here. We are sending our forces into the buildings. I appreciate your consideration in this matter. If there is anything more, we will remain in orbit for the time being. Orsa, out."

Kakuto Ryu's most notorious mech burst from Hyperspace, the lone fighter approaching the Hutt Fleet at breakneck speed. A comm came in to the commander of the Hutt Fleet as he weaved in and out of the scavenger ships, using the shoulder mounted laser cannons to destroy any and every ship that got in his way--fighter, laden loot ship, or otherwise. Kakuto took the time to send a message, meanwhile using the force to decide which of the ships was orchestrating the loot. He steered toward it,

"Attention Commander... Admiral... Soon to be deceased. I regret to inform you that you have earned my scorn, and as such the privilege of existence has been revoked from you, and your fleet, on the Authority of myself, Kakuto Ryu. Prepare-- "

The Comm was interrupted briefly as a thunderous noise rocked the command ship. Kakuto Ryu had cleanly ripped a hole in the hull of the ship, venting its population into space while allowing the ever-envirosuited Kakuto Ryu entry. The Sith Lord ejected from the cockpit and took off down the hallway, his mighty lightning-wreathed warhammer making quick work of any blast door that would stand in his way.

"--to Die. "

The former Dark Lord was headed the bridge...

Sith Lightning entered the Cardia system and he brought the ship down to the main tower. He got out of his ship and walked into the abandoned station. Disgusting. Once in the control room he first deactivated the evacuation signal and instead issued a new signal, demanding that ALL Imperial troops return to Cardia immediately. He then went over to fire control and re-activated the Ion cannons that were in place to fire on the Hutt ships that were trying to pillage his base. He had felt Kakuto's presence when he arrived. He sat down and waited for Kakuto to do his work while he himself contemplated making a holonet message declaring himself Emperor again...

((I established this base. The Emperor after me was my own Admiral and the Empire was still under my regime until recently. Since Cardia has not changed much since my departure I still know all of the codes to do such things.))

((Cineon: You would have to fight through troops as I think it's pretty clear earlier that I landed them. Not to mention that my entire fleet is blockading the planet so there is no way you're going to get through all of them with your lone fighter. You don't have a ship like Ryu's. However, feel free to call the Empire back because my fleet strength is actually considerable at the moment, not to mention that it would give the rebels a chance to jump in and finish the final ships, destroying the entire Imperial fleet. So I'll let you land. I like your thinking. ))

Flooding out of the Munificent-class star frigate, thousands of battle droids marched towards the base. Setting themselves up around the perimeters, 100 FIDO droids surrounded the outside of the main fortress. Quickly finding strategic positions, a company of 200 BD assassins set up their sniper rifles. Rolling out in quick succession, 150 droideka quickly combed the building for a once over. Following close behind, several dozen Droideka Mark II's followed suit.

Next, the swarms of soldiers broke through as hundreds of swat battle droids, B2 battle droids, and B3 droids entered the complex. Following closely behind, a garrison of SD-10 battle droids and C-B3 droids come next. Slowly making his way inside, the ground commander surveyed the fortress. Surrounded by a company of 4 IG-100 MagnaGuards, 2 A-series droids, 2 grapple battle droids, and 2 C-B3's, the ground captain issued his orders.

"Begin a sweep of the area. This could be a trap. We have located Agent Tobias's transmission location. He and the hutt are our number one priority. I repeat. Tobias and the Hutt are our number one priority."

"Roger! Roger!"

Moving deeper into the fortress, the soldiers and droids pushed on.

It wasn't long before they were met by two imperial soldiers. Holding a narrow corridor, the droids poised for attack as the ground marshall moved into position.

"Surrender! You will die if you attempt to fight us," he laughed.

"Kiti Ra," one of them yelled.

The marshall paused, "What?"

"Kiti Ra," the trooper repeated now stepping out into the open.

"Hold your fire," The marshall ordered his forces.

Removing his stormtrooper helmet, Tobias smiled.

"It's about time."

"Agent Tobias. It's an honor. We weren't sure if we'd really find you."

Tobias laughed, "We'll you didn't. I found you. But no matter."

Pointing to the man next to him, Tobias continued, "He'll lead you to the hutt. Take me to the command ship. I need to speak with Commander Orsa at once."

Suddenly, a droid's voice come over the marshall's com, "Someone has bypassed our forces and activated the largely dismantled exterior base defenses."

He nodded, "Take a small force and neutralize the target."

"Roger, roger."

He turned back to Tobias, "Alright. Let's get you out of here."

Meanwhile, a small force consisting of 100 swat droids, 100 B2's, 50 B3's, 10 droidekas, 10 droideka mark II's, 5 SD-10's, 5 C-B3's, and 5 Grapple droids advanced on the single enemy's location to pin and destroy him. All the while another force, consisting of the same compliment minus the grapple droids and B3's, set about dismantling the intruder's vessel.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tobias walked the hallways leading to the bridge. Rihn grinned at his success. He was now officially dead and a martyr but more than that, the Empire had fallen. And gravely. Of course, he didn't expect the rebels to take advantage of the situation. They always seemed to come up short, even when ultimate victory was standing right in front of them. Still, he was delighted to have proven the power the Hutt could manifest. They were no longer a threat to be taken lightly.

Suddenly, the Crusader Corvette shook violently as a vessel slammed right into them from out of nowhere. Somehow their entire fleet, including their entire fighter compliment had managed to miss one very swift mech. The alarms suddenly sounded as they went to full battle readiness.

"Damage report! What the hell was that!" Orsa demanded.

The security officer only mumbled in shock, incoherently.

"Mark! Pull yourself together! I need to know what just hit us and I need to know now!"

"Uh... uh... I... uh... I .... I don't know....sir... I..."

Pushing him out of the way, Orsa took over. Moving over the console, Orsa viewed on the monitors. It would seem a monster has slashing through the ship on it's way to the bridge. It was no doubt a sith.

Suddenly a comm came into the bridge, "This is Tobias. What the hell is going on!?"

Orsa replied, "You need to hurry on up here, Tobias! We have a sith intruder."

"Good gods!"

Tobias thought for a second as he broke into a dead sprint.

"Commander, we need to send droids to stall him. See if we can't use the ray shields. That might not hold him, but it should delay him substantially."

"That's all great and good, Tobias, but how is that going to help us defeat this thing?!"

"Just do as I say. Have the helmsman initiate a hyperspace jump immediately!"

"Where to?"

"Myrkr. It's less than 10,000 lightyears away. It should be a short ride. I'll meet with you shortly."

On the bridge, the security officer brought the ray shields online. They waited impatiently as the droids were ordered to get into position.

((EDITED))

"He's moving too fast, they will never make it in time," Orsa muttered dumbfounded. "Tobias, you're going to want to take an alternate route. He's coming you're way."

"Copy that... but that should delay me a few extra minutes."

"I know... but we have no choice. It's been a pleasure serving under you."

"Orsa?"

Knowing his death was imminent, Orsa positioned himself and watched the blast doors.

Suddenly they burst open, the sith quickly beheading the commander in one swipe. Standing there calmly, the war hero dead. However, not hesitating if for no other reason than self-preservation, the security officer initated the ray shields.

"We've got ourselves a big one, sir."

Tobias couldn't say anything. He was still in shock from the fact that Orsa was dead. He had heard the sound over the comms. His long time friend and ally was gone. Not wanting to think about it, Rihn just continued to run towards the bridge.

((To Myrkr))

Sith Lightning continued to fly around outside shooting down various droids to try and keep them from inside the tower so her master could work in peace. He was at the main console and was initiating a massive system shut-down. He would get rid of this pest-like invasion in an instant. Weapon systems went down first, unfortunately. Were it anything but droids the enemy would have been alerted by the main defenses shutting down for no apparent reason. Next the surrounding building and training facilities went offline. Finally the entire system was offline and no power was running through the temple.

Lord Barabbas then opened his lightsaber and disconnected the circuit inside. Sith Lightning, launch your EMP now.

The ship swept down into the middle of the droid invasion and the EMP rippled through the area, disabling all the droids, falling down in an instant.

"What a fool, attacking Cardia with droids. The Hutts will pay for this insult."

He initiated the power re-connect and sat patiently while systems came back online. He re-connected his lightsaber and put it inside his cloak. Kakuto would undoubtedly be returning shortly and once systems were back online he would confront Geki.

Kakuto broke from hyperspace, quite evidently triumphant in his conquest. He entered the Caridian airspace and made his way down to the Imperial Castle, noting the litter of lifeless droids that marked the path into the facility.

The Sith Master appeared in the heart of the castle, having landed his ship on a reserved pad sometime earlier. His mask off, the wide grin of satisfaction on his face was clearly visible for what seemed like miles. He waited for Cineon to finish his business, so that they could discuss what was to happen from there.

Taking the hutt back to their ships, the forces began a full evacuation of the area. Reports of the destruction of their crusader Corvette along with both Commander Orsa and Agent Tobias left the forces in disarray.

Drell sat solumnly at this desk after he head the news. Suddenly entering the room, one of his officers asked for orders.

"You are now the commander of the Hutt fleet, captain Drell. What should we do?"

Drell stared quietly at the table for a few more seconds.

"Where did we go wrong..."

"Huh? Sir?"

Drell looked up, "Where did we go wrong, huh? Everything was going so well. We were winning the war. We had defeated the Empire! We were at the height of our prowess..."

The officer looked back at Drell bewildered, "Uh... I don't know, sir. I honestly have no idea."

Drell laughed a little in a sad tone, "Rihn always said any engagement with the sith would be the death of us. It was part of the reason he had avoided them so fiercely. We had to assure that all our targets were Empire related and contained no sith bases."

Drell laughed again, this time a little longer, "It's ironic that the one occasion where we had no choice would be the one time the sith showed us up."

"Sir," the soldier interrupted. "We are still in the system. The Sith are not far. We are awaiting your orders."

Drell looked up whistfully, obviously somewhere else, "Oh... yeah... orders. They are a funny thing, aren't they? First Umaga then Rihn then Orsa then Tobias then me." Drell laughed sadistically, "I guess I won't have long to live now.... right?"

The captain laughed a little more. Moving up to him, the officer shook him hard.

"Sir! Pull yourself together! The fleet is in disarray! We need you to be a leader now more than ever! Sir, please."

Drell cleared his throat, "Order the fleet to hyperspace. We have no choice but to retreat. We've defeated the empire, but we are no where close to defeating the Sith. Now is our time to exit... for the time being..."

"Yes, sir!" The officer exclaimed, saluting and running out of the room.

Drell stared at the picture of his wife and son on the right and then the picture of him shaking hands with Rihn on the left. His eyes dropped down to the datapad infront of him. The same datapad that had first brought him the news of the corvette's destruction and the death of their current military and political leaders, Tobias and Orsa. Jerking his head back up and setting his eyes on the ceiling, Drell stuck out his tongue and bit it against his upper lip as he tried to hold back the tears. He had lost so much. Slowly, Drell reached over and set the picture of his family faced down against the table.

He choked out, "I'm sorry... I didn't know. I never thought they would. Nar...was a good..." he could finished as his throat went dry and liquid fell from his eyes. Quickly wiping it off with the clothing that adorned his right bicep, Drell turned his attention to his photo with Rihn.

He weakly whispered, "We did it, Rihn. We freed three systems from the Empire. We changed millions of lives. You're a hero..."

Drell faltered for a second, his sadness turning to rage, "A hero that's left us without a leader, without direction, and without our loved ones..."

Clenching his teeth in an attempt to hold back the tears, Drell placed his hand against his forehead, letting his head slide slowly down his arm until it rested above his elbow. His body shook as he sobbed quietly.

After about a minute, a comm came through.

"Captain, the surviving forces have successful retreated from the planet and we are prepared to initiated our hyperdrive."

Drell cleared his throat, again wiping his face and sniffing in a little.

"Good," his voice cracked. "Order the fleet to jump."

"Yes, sir," the audio voice replied.

Looking around him for a second to collect himself, Drell lifted the Rihn picture off his desk and placed it face up inside the top left drawer of the desk he was sitting at.

Taking one last look, he likewise placed the datapad in there along with it whispering, "Rest in peace... both of you."

Last he turned his attention to the picture of his family. Not turning it over he began to slowly move it towards the open drawer. However, as he held the picture, poised to drop it in, he couldn't help but look back at it one last time. Seeing the smiling faces of his wife and son brought a smile to Drell's face as well. It was the one thing he hadn't lost. Those memories.

Grasping the picture frame tightly, Drell suddenly frowned. Shutting the desk drawer harshly, Drell placed the picture back on the right hand side of his desk. Locking gazes with it he muttered some last words as the vessel, meanwhlile, ripped through hyperspace.

"I'll do this for both of you. I'll remember you two. And I'll never stop fighting you... never!"

[And so ends the story of an alien called, Rihn]

All system power had been returned and Cineon decided to be diplomatic with Geki. By his actions it was apparent that Geki had no desire to lead the Empire, that he'd rather be chasing private sector pursuits. He sent out a transmission trying to communicate with Geki.

*A secure, encrypted, and absolutely untraceable comm (bounced off relay substations in no less than fifteen different systems) arrives for Darth Barrabas.

The flickering blue image of Geki winks into existence.*

'Barrabas. News has reached me of your attempted coup. Futile, since the Imperial infrastructure left Carida with me.

'I doubt you have anything to say which I will find interesting or which will avert your imminent and very painful death, but then again I am insane, and not given to thinking logically about these things. What do you want?'

Kakuto sighed heavily, leaving the palace now that the hutts had abandoned their cause. If Cineon needed him in the future, he'd know how to contact him.

The former Dark Lord wrapped a dark cloak around his white armor, disappearing to his ship and removing himself from the world before anyone could say another word to him...
