About twelve LN protocol droids had arrived on planet, along with 14 Black Sun Agents around the time the planet grew dark. They were sent by Zalis Krales to begin construction on a new project. At the main center most part of town, a spot that was close to the spaceport, the casinos, a junkyard, and all other sorts of whore houses and black markets shops, they were to build a large building that would resemble a castle. They came armed with very specific instructions on details of stones, gems, carpet, layouts and designs of the overall structure. Within it, it would have direct access to a tunnel system that would have a transit trams that would travel underground from the Castle that would be called, Sandorne Palace, to a far off junkyard building that would be used for Black Sun to constantly create new weapons, armor, and poisons that could be sold in the back market or to allies that were in need of them. Thus began a long three weeks of building Sandorne Palace.

  • 1 month later...

Zalis arrived to the planet that she would make her personal home base outside of Dark Sun station. She landed her ship within the newly minted hangar bay for the new head quarters for Black Sun on the water and mountain ranged filled planet. Sandorne Palace looked like the progress of construction had been very successful over the past few weeks, making the palace very large and now the very central thing anyone would see upon entering Worlport city. She was greeted at the bottom of her landing ramp of her ship, Supremacy.

"Milady, the construction literally finished last night. As you requested, we offered up our guest suites to the local casino owners. Many are now waking up this morning and enjoying the breakfast we provided them... We have also received a call on your behalf..."

"I know. The casino owners will meet with me within two hours. I want for the needed files to be ready for them. The call you received is in regards to the contract I posted. They are most likely looking for details. I will return their call within my own personal chambers. Until then... Take the extra funds from this building project and bring in some of the dregs of this city. I have use for them."

She was quick to dismiss him and make her way to her own chambers to prepare for the meeting with the local casino owners and send the details of the job to whatever bounty hunter felt like they needed to credits. This was the turn of the Black Sun. They would now control many markets and have a decent supply of credits always flowing in.

A few hours later, the Vevut's ship arrived at Ord Mantell. Mellanie brought the ship in to Wolport City, noting the large palace in the heart of it. "Guess that's our destination," she commented, pointing. They set down in a small public spaceport, paid a docking fee, and headed out, clad in their beskar'gam. People tended to give them a wide berth, which pleased them. They weren't in the mood to deal with peddlers or random passersby.

Fifteen minutes later, they arrived at the palace. "Araac and Mellanie Vevut," Araac introduced them to the guards. "We're here about a bounty. Ms. Krales is expecting us."

The man who was operating the front desk along with a droid watched as the two Mandalorian’s walked in. The two introduced themselves as a pair whom Zalis must have been expecting. The man held a rather annoyed look on his face, but the droid seemed happy to comply without hesitation. With a very feminine/robotic voice, it let its voice ring out.

“Oh yes, Ms. Krales has been expecting you. She told us very specific instructions that she would have someone interested in the recent job posting. She seems to think that such a contract as the one she put out would draw the attention of smugglers more than mercenaries such as yourself, but as long as someone took the job. Those were her exact words. I know that she is currently busy meeting with the local casino owners, trying to get them to se-“

The droid cut out as the man working the table reached over and flipped a switch on the back of the droid’s neck and offered up an apologetic glance their way.

“Sorry bout that. XP3 seems to have a quirk where she talks… unnecessarily and too much. I’ve sent a page for Ms. Krales. She will be here shortly.”

And with that, he returned to his own work on a datascreen that the two Mandalorian’s could not see.

**** Meeting Room ****

Zalis sat within her black pants and white overcoat that was buttoned up at the head of the desk. Her feet were up upon the table as she held a datapad in her hand, and a very unamused look upon her face. On her complete opposite end sat a man who would be by any standard; obese. In fact, she was well aware that the man weighed over 500 pounds. His weight must have been a reason that the other owners looked to him to make decisions regarding overall policy, as they refused to answer any questions and would instead just turn towards him until he spoke. His words, which seemed to be getting near spitting level as he was frustrated by her.

“Ma’am, I understand that your company has a reputation of increasing sales of the locations that you go to, and that—Why are you looking so bored? This whole meeting was your idea.”

Zalis let her eyes roll for a moment before putting her feet down on the floor and laying the datapad down.

“I’m bored by you. You seem to be under the impression that your little tiny casino is worth much on this backwater world. You don’t get something for nothing. My deal remains on the table. If the other gentleman at this table can find their voice and balls before it’s too late, maybe we can work something out. For now, you all have a week to decide. Businesses that do not sign the deal will not get the harvest. Good day.”

She made sure that her voice sounded that it was all done. The owners all slowly got up and left. Zalis sat in her chair and continued to look over the datapad. The largest casino wasn’t worth much, they only brought in 500 credits a week. Although their records didn’t show the full spending that all of them were claiming. Poor fools. Completely unaware of the disaster they’re walking into. Once the room cleared, she took notice that she had her mercs here waiting for the needed supplies. Picking up her comm, she paged for one of her droids to bring the needed equipment to the front, and she herself walked up to greet them.

“Greetings. You’ve arrived faster than what I was expecting for you to. I’m Zalis Krales, the one who put out the contract for this job. What sort of questions might you have directly for me before the supplies arrive?”

"Frankly, what we're supposed to do," Araac replied bluntly. He tapped his wrist and a holo of the contract posting appeared. "It's just a list. The first two items are, we assume, just catch-and-deliver."

"But picking up equipment?" Mellanie picked up smoothly. "What are we supposed to do with it? Where are we supposed to take it? What evidence are we supposed to destroy?"

The Vevuts had almost not taken the gig because of lack of detail. Mel privately wondered if they could bill Zalis extra for having to have to come all this way--but then she remembered they would have had to pick up the equipment from here anyway. Bummer.

Zalis looked from one Mandalorian to the other as she raised her right eyebrow. She had suspected as much from the declining culture, yet now it was more evident before her now.

"So indulgence for ignorance. I had hoped that the rumors were less true, but it would appear otherwise."

Almost as soon as she finished, LP2, the droid she had sent for the items came around the corner with everything in it's arms.

"That list as you referred to it, is actually very standard, and many smugglers decide upon whether they want to take on the contract or not based upon price and if they really can pull of the job. Rarely do bounty hunters take it, but some do out of sheer lack of work. The bears and plants must be brought back whole and fully intact. Failure to do so will result in a dock of pay. Since I'm going to assume you wouldn't do any research, Ironwithe is what the Renda bears eat. Take the bears first if you want to live long enough to get paid."

The droid finally stood beside her, and Zalis opened up the briefcase looking crate to reveal it's contents.

"3 different types of chemicals. I want for you to use these after you collected the bears and plants. Because I do not know fully what they will do, I want my prize of the bears and plants first. The chemicals should be used accordingly. One for a water test, one for a soil test, and finally, one for an air test. The four pieces of surveillance equipment are as follows. two for the ground, placed within 100 yards of where you conducted the chemical test. The other two are space worthy. I want them there."

Zalis then shut the case and lifted it by the handle and extended it towards the two Mandalorians.

"And of course, destroy the evidence means leave nothing that could show that you were there. The surveillance equipment is designed to decompose on the surface after a standard week passes."

Celora stretched awkwardly as she surveyed the Mid-Rim planet of Ord Mantell, one of the strongholds of the Black Sun criminal organization which she was considering pledging herself to, rather than the legions of the Sith where she had recieved the beginnings of her training. From the numerous ads she had read on the Holonet, mostly for things like "Stretchy Well Trained Twileks: A Modern Art Presentation", the large drug-fueled hallucination shops "Night on Felucia: How to pretend everything is perfect without doing anything", and the largest casino's "Double Discount Night: All proceeds going to the support of our boys and girls at Onderon", this seemed to be a hub of questionable activities. She was very used to questionable activies.

She had found it very difficult to avoid the cybernetically-enhanced Black Sun agent who had transported her here. Celora had quiet a bit of experience with cybernetic humans during her life as a slave, several of her cruel owners using them to beef up their already drugged-up strength. She shook her head, they could definently have used them better to change their extremely limited intelligence. The port at the base of her companions skull was new however, and slightly creepy. Still, it was the girl's friendliness that had disturbed her. In the experience of the young force-user, most people who acted friendly always wanted something from, wanted her to suffer, yet this girl had not harmed her, though she obviously could have on their flight. Celora understtod the mindest of the cruel, the fearful, and the just. This one, however, did not seem to fit into any of these categories, and Celora didn't trust what she couldn't understand.

Mellanie rolled her eyes inside her buy'ce, but outwardly appeared to simply listen. The--vigo?--still didn't supply all the answers, leaving out completely where in the galaxy they were supposed to run these surveillance tests, but since it appeared they'd have to return to Ord Mantell after hunting and gathering, it mattered little in the end.

After a tilt of her helmet towards Araac, she reached out and grabbed the case Zalis was offering.

"Then we'll be back with your 'prizes'," Araac said stiffly. The two turned as if to go, only willing to hesitate if the Black Sunner had any other information to offer them.

With a pull of a plug the young girl’s eyes flashed and she was relatively back to normal. Or at least as normal as a HRD could be to a young ex-slave girl. As the shuttle touched down, the Black Sun girl unbuckled her restraints and walked to the descending cargo ramp.

“Tell me of yourself and your ambitions. Tell me of your desires, your lusts for revenge, your desire for love, glory, honour, or blood as we walk. It’ll be a bit of a hike afterall…”

The girl’s voice trailed off into a mechanical whirr and she jumped down onto the dirty permacrete walkway below them. The closest offices were almost a mile away, through the slums of Man Jurs, and it would be quite the adventure to get there.

Zalis watched with a raise eyebrow that showed how annoyed she was with the Mandalorians. Once they had full left the building, she turned towards XP3 and Yurri Kane, the receptionist at the new found Head Quarters for Black Sun.

"Make a note for me, don't invite Mandalorians to our jobs. Or at least have Delta provide me with with ways to contact better ones."

Zalis began to walk away from the main desk but stopped rather short upon realizing she wanted something from the receptionist.

"Actually... how is the lab testing going on Project Madness?"

XP3 spoke up quickly. "Oh Ma'am, the reports have been good from what have seen. Songsteel and Cortosis seem to be merging fairly well. Although I have heard that they are working hard to forge and use Neuranium and Phrik. Although, they are having far less decent results." Zalis held up a hand to stop the droid.

"Thank you very much. I may want to take a sample to Delta. Have XP7 and LP4 and LP8 join me down in the labs. Continue to see what sort of information you can come up with on the whereabouts of Mythic Target. I'll want a report within the next two weeks. Also... Yurri, post a job contract from Project Dark Wood. Let's get that piece moving. I'm sure our... allies would love to see results in that area."

With that, Zalis turned and began to walk towards the labs at Black Castle.

The creepy girl that was accompanying Celora to a destination yet unnamed continued her odd cheerfulness as the unusual pair landed at the docking port and exited through the cargo ramp. Her strange mechanical actions unnerved Celora a bit, so different from the semi-machine creatures she had seen many times before on the slave ships and worlds of the Outer Rim. The creature before her was fluid, her movements precise as her human and non human parts integrated seamlessly. This one was clearly not all human.

"I, umm, I'm not sure what I want," Celora gritted out, her nervousness around the other girl and the atmosphere which constantly reminded her of slavery causing her stutter to return. "I-I've been a, uh, slave, with the Imperials and the Sith. None of them seemed to fit. I just... I want to feel powerful, but murdering and torturing everything in sight like the Sith doesn't seem right. I-I don't know."

Her small pale hand clutched tightly to the handle of the lightsaber the Vermandois twins had given her as she watched the surly figures of slaver and pirates lurking in the shadows. She figured she wasn't supposed to take the lightsaber, especially since she hadn't made it, but she had left too suddenly to find them first. Perhaps one day she would return it with her thanks for what she been taught.

Slowly the duo picked their way through the streets of Ord Mantell, keeping in close proximity on a world filled to bursting with crime. Man Jurs was still a shitehole, and Black Sun was not trying to clean up the neighbourhood.

“Ok so what skills do you have other than just your basic intuition with the force? Do you want to learn how to kill?”

The girl jogged up a flight of permacrete steps and they were suddenly in a brightly coloured slave auction. Her mechanical eyes looked over the young human girl with a bit of a smile reflected in them.

“How does this make you feel?”

She gestured to a long line of humans and aliens in chains.

Zalis showed up on the lab level, which was thirteen floors below the main one, and outside of the basement level below the main floor, only authorized personnel knew or had access to the lab floor. It was designed to be so far away from the public that no one would be able to detect it, and so far removed from other floors and deep down that no sensors from space would ever be able to know of it's existence. As she walked out of the turbolift doors, she was greeted quickly by two men standing guard lazily and had to recover upon seeing how it was. They moved to the side and allowed for her to use the hand and eye scan to gain access to the labs beyond the door. Once she was cleared, she walked in to smell a mix of harsh scents that made her want to vomit quickly upon the floor that she walked. She would have worried about her own safety of smelling such things, but she also knew that the main area where she walked was under protocol to remain hazard free.

"So tell me gentlemen, I have heard some reports on Project Madness that makes me a bit... unhappy."

There was four males working in main room. A Rodian, a Mon Calamari, and two Twi'leks. In the back labs beyond the range of hearing anything that Zalis was saying were a few more workers that she could not actually see their species. Although, she did remember that from the portfolios that there should be three humans in the mix. The Rodian stood up from his desk and quickly bowed before Zalis as he moved closer to her.

"Ma'am, the results are temperamental for the moment. We all told you that it would take up to three years before we could produce such a weapon for you. Phrik and Cortosis are really hard materials to merge. The minerals that make them up are in fact, resistant."

'So incompetence is your excuse. I remember very clearly asking you that if paired up with at least one more scientist in your field that you could do it in half the time and your answer was, and I quote... 'Beyond doable.' Since I brought twelve of you together, all of your reputations are proving to be... unqualified."

The Rodian looked panicked all of a sudden and began to tremor with fear that his life could be taken by the woman who was known to end the careers and lives of those who failed her. One of the Twi'lek's stood up and intervened. Brave, but incredibly stupid. He placed himself between Zalis and the Rodian.

"Ma'am, if you are angry with those results, perhaps I can advert your attention to Project Kyber Dart?"

The Twi'lek quickly snapped his own fingers at the other two to bring the project to her. The Mon Calamari was the one who brought it off a desk and moved very quickly to stand next to the Twi'lek who stood before her. He then offered her up a blaster.

"If you recall Ma'am, you had requested blaster that would hold a dual purpose. We think that such a weapon like this is exactly what you were looking for. The whole frame work is designed around the main mechanics of the Wookiee's Bowcaster. It fires a quarrel that is strong enough to prices through many of the armors that we could have tested. But upon hitting something that it cannot pierce, or if the quarrel is broken by say, a lightsaber... Then it explodes into shrapnel and the gas pellets on the sides release, making it a dangerous weapon to be used against any foe..."

Even as the scientist spoke, Zalis examined the blaster. It looked like a fairly similar weapon to what she had seen before, but until ti was tested in the field, she would have no clue to the actual potency of the weapon. Looking up to see almost all of the scientists shaking just slightly in fear, and the other Twi'lek held the two other prototype blasters designed, she handed it back to them.

"I guess this requires a field test then. I'll take all three with me on my next journey. Have them sent up to XP9 for delivery into the field. But consider this a warning... this is not a success. It's an offering, and one that I simply do not need. Next time, you had better offer up more. Otherwise I will take your life for such incompetence and failure."

With that, Zalis turned and began to head back to the turbolift and to the main lobby of Black Castle.

"Well, I mean I know how to fly, kinda and how to be a ships gunner. Most of my recent years as a slave were spent on my bac... never mind sorry."

Celora ceased her stammering as they entered the local slave auction. Most of the standard races were represented in the wide area, buyers peering around and testing out prospective buys while slavers looked on eagerly or hawked their goods. It was a scene Celora knew well from her time on Nar Shaddaa and other pirate worlds. She even recognized the marking of several crews, and unknowingly cringed back slightly at seeing them, one hand dropping toward the lightsaber and the other gently caressing her neck. Though she had not been a slave for some time, the memories of endless years wearing the deadly collar would not fade so soon.

With a slight shudder at the question from the inhuman girl, Celora responded, "I can't say I particularly enjoy the site, too many bad memories. If I end up working for you, I would prefer to not directly be a part of slaving operations. However, I have left that portion of my life behind me, and I will do what I must. I am no longer Weak."

A few days after they had left, the two Mandalorians returned to Ord Mantell with their bounty. They dropped off 7 sleeping renda bears, along with a dozen crates full of ironwithe plants, in the warehouse where they were directed to leave them, and handed the data from the chemical tests directly to the receptionist who supervised their payment. Despite the frostiness on both sides, the Mandalorians had done their best to fill the bounty to Zalis' specifications.

Their job done and their accounts richer, they left the planet again, heading off to their next bounty.

“You don’t want to go and kill every last one of the suckers?”

The HRD’s voice sounded disappointed, and the young girl could see that she had even unbuckled her holster in anticipation. She smirked, and her eyes took on a red glow.

“Just one okay?”

She whipped her pistol up from its retention holster and triggered a crimson round into a minor slaver who was ushering a pack of children into a supply speeder. Cutting open a large furrow of melted skin and oozing black blood through his chest cavity. Dropping him like a sack of gilgameshi potatoes.

“Keep up darlin, your turn.”

  • 2 weeks later...

Zalis entered the main lobby hall of Black Castle and began to make her way towards her own personal hangar bay where her ship awaited her. She could see that XP7 and LP4 both moved through the doors carrying cases that held what she wanted to have field tested, while LP8 and LP9 stood awaiting for her. There was also a random employee standing next to them, but upon seeing her, turned and moved back to wherever he was supposed to be stationed.

“Give me some good news LP9.”

The droid turned its head in what could almost be described as a jolted shocked motion. Although she was very well aware that the droid held no emotions and had several memory wipes to ensure this.

“Ma’am, the Supremacy has been loaded and is being primed as we speak. I also have WP6 and WP5 ready to pilot us to Onderon, as per your orders. I did run into a security issue though while trying to post contract 473287-I-1, otherwise called Project Dark Wood. It requires authorization of a Vigo for such a high status. I have it setup to be posted upon us boarding the Supremacy. Yurri also gave me a file for you to review for our trip in regards to Mythic Target.”

Zalis arched an eyebrow out of the news she received, although this time, it was fully out of amusement. She honestly didn’t think to have any information on Mythic Target but would happily except whatever she could. Taking the datapad from the droids hands, she moved towards the ship and had the two droids follow her. After she had boarded, the ship was up in the air and headed for Onderon.

To say that the young human force user was surprised would be a gross understatement. Celora's lower jaw dropped open as she watched the Black Sun soldier casually execute a nearby slaver, unafraid of any response or reprisal. She even managed to taunt the former slave after Celora's attempt at diplomatically facing one of her greatest fears and dislikes. It almost seemed like the Black Sun girl wanted her companion to fly off and start cutting people to pieces without regard to their status, to watch the blood of these scum fly as the blood of many slaves had before...

Before Celora could formulate any response, a familiar voice shouted a long string of curses from only a few dozen feet away. Celora recognized the overly fat Gamorrean as Rusak, the leader of a slaver gang she had become... closely acquainted with during her time as a slave. The Gamorrean and his two brothers were currently engage in checking their merchandise in an overly friendly manner, their coarse laughter a cruel response to the screams of their victim. Celora's thoughts returned to her own past as she stepped involuntarily toward them, her hand dropping to the hilt of the borrowed lightsaber at her side. By chance alone, one of the three brothers happened to glance at the approaching human, his ugly facing splitting into a tusk-filled grin as he reached toward the much smaller girl.

Celora's training with the lightsaber was only in its infancy, but training with the Vermandois brothers had taught her one thing if nothing else: good reflexes. In a flash, the crimson blade dashed from its holster and flicked through the air, leaving behind the hand and arm of the Gamorrean brute. Before he could let out more than a surprised pig grunt, her return swing lopped off his head like a razor knife through bantha butter. The second Gamorrean, less stunned than their leader Rusak, reached one meaty hand toward the blaster at his side, the other hand fruitlessly holding his hand out for her to stop. Unfortunately for the piggy humanoid, he stood closer to the girl than his eldest brother. Celora dashed forward in a low run with her saber trailing slightly behind, before swinging the blade in a rapid circle with all the strength of her small body, chopping through more than half of the Gamorrean's body before her strike ended. Screaming in feral rage, Rusak charged, swinging the traditional heavy axe commonly used by his race. However, it proved no match for the power of her lightsaber, her block chopping the weapon in half as the blade plunged deep into the Gamorrean, his last pained gasp overshadowed by her vicious snarl.

The head of the severed axe had grazed her arm as it plummeted to the ground, but Celora didn't even notice the dripping blood as she turned to face the Black Sun officer, adrenal flowing through her veins. "Good enough?"

  • 3 weeks later...

The Black Sun Agent finished off her slaver with a quick knife hand to the throat which left him gasping and flailing at his crushed larynx, until he expired some minutes later, choking on his own neck. She let out a little giggle of delight and clapped her hands in front of her.

“Well done little one! I like the lightsabre strikes, it was very well done!”

She wiped her hands off on a scrap of a slaves clothing and beckoned to Celora.

“Do you want to make like a tonne of credits hunting down rich politicians? We can do that next if you want!”

She quickly dug through the pockets of the slavers and pocketed the loose cash credits before beginning to walk back towards the underground.

Crix's robotic hand twitched a little bit as he walked past the casino. He could sense the eyes of the gamblers and thug's eyes examining him. Their eyes were looking for a weak spot in his cybernetic armor, seeing if his small body had any signs of fragility. Someone wearing that kind of armor was compensating for something. Under his helmet he smiled. Let them look. The brown and red armor he wore was not just for show, nor was it easily earned. The blaster marks and blade scratches made that obvious.

He even glanced at some of the thugs near the building and gave his shoulder a wipe and raised his head, taunting them to come at him. The humans looked away, not interested in getting in any unnecessary fights at the moment. However, at that moment, Crix felt a small tug at his waist. Instinctively he spun around, his robotic hand opened and grabbed a small furry head of the being daring to try to pickpocket him. The Chadra-fan screeched in pain as Crix lifted the extremely short rodent into the air. What an annoyance. Crix considered the brown furred rodent for a moment, wondering if it would be more trouble then it was worth to teach this punk a lesson. He had places to be after all. Then he remembered the thugs.

Thank you for providing me this opportunity rodent Crix chuckled, to which the Chandra-fan gave a pained curious look. Suddenly and violently he slammed the pest into the ground raised him up again, spun, and tossed him in one direction a few feet. The Chandra-fan barely had a moment to look up before seeing Crix's boot come crashing into him, kicking him into the street. Crix watched a moment as the Chandra-fan remained still though breathing, then turned to the onlookers. Some of them were smiling, happy to see the pickpocketer get humiliated, others were shifting nervously not wanting to become a target.

Nobody touches me. . He gave the thugs the briefest moment of a stare. The quickly looked away again, this time more nervously. The lesson was taught. He walked away from the scene, enjoying the attention he just earned.

Eventually, Crix arrived at what he guessed was the Sandorne Palace. It took him a bit to wade through the crowds, but eventually found himself at a receptionist. My name is Crixus, here to pick up a bounty on the recommendation of Milku.. He grinded his teeth at saying the name of his last benefactor. That slimy hutt had tried to double cross him and ended up losing a piece of his tail. If it wasn't for the other hutts, he would've killed him on the spot. To whom do I need to speak to?

Crix took the datapad and without looking back at the, what he deemed the 'rude' receptionist, gave the bounty's a look, starting at the bottom, what he figured were the longest, and thus hardest bounties were. He was slightly disappointed at the rather short list, but made do. He smirked a bit at the last one. It wasn't worth chasing across the galaxy for a frail old man who was a member for a religion of superstitions. Plus the reward money wasn't worth the trip, despite being easy. The only superstitions he believed in was that of the arena: A happy crowd makes lots of money, and a killing spectacle made a happy crowd.

He passed over the Hapan princess. Capturing nobility had its attractions, and while it could be fun to ambush a Hapan in a room darkened by the cold night, he would have a lot of people trying to catch him on the way out. He marked it as a potential job later on, but for now, he wanted something different.

That left the Tuskan. He mused for a moment. He had seen and even killed one or two of those savage beings when he worked for the hutts on a few jobs on Tatooine. They were fierce, though primitive. They typically only bothered locals, and even then a good blaster in a trained handcould scare them off. Why would Black Sun want....

He stopped breathing for a moment. The reason: Abandonment of Contract. A person who had given their word to do a job, whether it was to hunt someone, protect another, or do a simple delivery, and then didn't follow through. Maybe he was alone, maybe he turned on his team. One word came to Crix's lips and was not picked up by the speakers in his helmet; a word he hated to the very core of his being.

Traiter

Images flashed for a moment in his head. Faces long ago. Old teammates. His robotic hand scratched the holster along his side where the engraved name of Dressak Skel was underneath on the illegal weapon. Yes, this bounty... a perfect bounty for a warrior like himself. Tuskan vs Nexu. The Savage and the Beast, in a battle to the death.

Mark this dirty sandperson as taken He dropped the pad onto the desk and walked away. He's as good as dead.

It took a while for the gank to hire a ship to take him to Tatooine. Crix reasoned that Tatooine would be the best place to start looking. As far as he knew, Tuskans never left that desert planet. If he could get there, he could question the cantinas, maybe attack some of the tribes, get an idea for where he may have gone and get some practice at killing some of those savages before the real deal. He eventually found a squat fat human with a palm as greasy as a jawa's. The human's cargo ship heading to that distant planet with what Crix guessed were illicit goods, and he mentioned that he needed some muscle, just in case the locals tried to delay his shipment. The mention of Crix used to working for the hutts seemed to make the man appreciate him more. They both knew what was happening in the ship. A good bodyguard would warn away some of the trouble. As the man piloted the ship into space, Crix sat next to the large containers, tapping a vibrodagger against his armor. With each clink, he visualized his old team mates faces.

This will be fun he breathed, clinking his knife again and again.

The dilated eyes of the former slave girl opened even wider as the Black Sun Officer stepped forward, an intent gaze in her eyes. Celora flinched back, expecting to be struck in punishment for her actions, but the blow past by her without so much as a hair being disturbed. Her eyes blinked rapidly as the final Gamorrean dropped to the ground, and her dangerous companion simply laughed. Everything the criminal did seemed to throw Celora off a bit, like her simply looting the dead slavers as they passed, even though she was undoubtedly paid far more by the same organization that these slavers worked under.

"Well, um, we could do that, and get some cool, uh, duo kills going. Like... tough girl style? I mean, if, uh, d-do they deserve it?"

Celora instantly blushed as her brain caught up to her mouth and she realized what she had last said. She was a criminal now, she was supposed to be tough and evil, and now she sounded like a simpering, loose-tongued goody-goody idiot. Her internal monologue restarted as she beat herself up mentally, "No way she's gonna want to hang out after this, who'd want to be around someone damaged like me anyways."

"Mistress. Mistress Hest."

A smoothly accented robotic voice brought Qi'Nali out of a state of semi-slumber. She sighed and drew her senses back into her body, left eyebrow twitching as EY-3s (E3 for short) called for her attention again. The droid had been fixed up and given to her as an assistant by the ISB when she was still working for them, and the IT guy who had set its protocols decided to have some fun with it at her expense.

"Mistress-" She cut the voice off with a flick of her hand and another quiet sigh. "Yes, yes... what is it, E3?"

"Mistress Hest, we have been cleared for landing at a designated area near Sandorne Palace. We will be arriving shortly."

Qi'Nali gave E3 a quick 'thanks.' before she groaned and stretched her way out of a rather ornate bed. It paid her back in dividends whenever she needed to do any particularly intensive searching, or meditating. The bed was only one of a handful of barely-necessary expenses for the Miraluka, however; she had also sprung for some expanded closet space in her cabin. The extra room allowed her to store quite a large variety of casual clothing and outfits for disguises, with a small display for her old uniforms.

For this trip, she chose to wear something a touch more practical than her usual outfit. Some weather-worn black boots stretching up her calves, padded brown trousers, a tan buttoned shirt, and a thin leather jacket. She had been to Ord Mantell before, for a few different investigations, and was well aware that blending in would be for the best. Safe harbour or not, the planet belonged to the Black Sun and she would be walking right into the heart of their operation.

Qi'Nali finished tying her hair up over her eye wraps by the time the Bouncer had landed, ready to disembark and make for the palace when EY-3s marched down from the cockpit to meet her. The assistant droid would probably get some odd looks, he always did. A floating assistant droid mounted onto the body of what appeared to be a B1 droid's body would do that. It wasn't a B1, of course, the scarred blue paint marked it as an OOM pilot droid's chassis, but not many tended to distinguish between Republic-era separatist battle droids on that level.

'Well,' Hest swept her senses over the droid as they walked into the palace, 'at least he can take the body off when he needs to.'

"Excuse me," she smiled at the receptionist, "I am here for a meeting regarding a few contracts of a sensitive nature. I don't suppose that miss Krales is currently on site and available? Or someone else who might be willing and qualified to run through the fine details with me?"

The Black Sun Agent with whom miss Celora Karth was currently attached to let a simple grin roll across her face and she clapped her bloody hands in front of her with a ‘eep’ of joy. She reached out and grabbed Celora’s hand and dragged her through the underlevels until they arrived at a storefront whose sign was the many pointed star of the Black Sun. The ancient organization that had outlived the other syndicates, including the Crimson Dawn which had been incorporated several decades prior under the Six Vigos; Mindan Bretch’ll, Piccolo, Jacen Onnd, Kayal Crindon, Delta73, and Crosa Hoverich. The founders of the Modern Black Sun. Of whom only one remained. His statue stood in the foyer, holding a marble gungan head and standing upon the carved grave of Padme Skywalker. THe Agent pointed to it as she dragged Celora by, her voice in reverence.

“That memorializes the last SCORPION raid, in which the Sith and the Black Sun solidified their friendship and Vigo Delta established himself as the blood prince. Pretty cool huh?”

She pressed her eye against a socket in the wall and a large room opened before them, stocked with every type of weapon and armour imaginable.

“We are going to assassinate the leaders of the Thyferran league and their families. You down with that?”

The receptionist looked up at Qi'Nali and its photoreceptors blinked lazily. Its voice rasped through seldom used voice reflectors.

“Krales is not here, Agent Corun is here and can discuss any business that you may wish, he is in office 34-1 please prepare whatever plan or mission you have cooked up for his review. Thank you.”

The Miraluka woman bowed shortly and offered her thanks to the receptionist, before liesurely strolling towards the indicated room. Partly out of a desire to just enjoy the exercise and practice seeing, and partly out of the need for EY-3s to figure out where exactly they were going so he could lead her there. Not having traditional eyes was inconvenient like that.

After reaching the office Qi'Nali took a moment to straighten out her clothing and peer into the room. Generally she tried not invading anyone's privacy by looking past closed doors, not unless it was part of the job at least, but it paid to be prepared in places like these. Not to mention that it was always worth the courtessy of not interrupting anyone while they were occupied with something important. Thus, when she was satisfied that she was in the clear, Hest knocked firmly on the door.

"Qi'Nali Hest, here to see Agent Corun about recently posted contracts. May I come in?"

Sudden and surprising physical contact was NOT something that Celora enjoyed, but she recovered her wits before she decided to follow through with her first impulse, that being to slice off the hand of the Black Sun girl. In the eye of her damaged mind, it was not the smooth hand of the cybernetic agent, but the rough and painful grip of her former masters, brutish strength and callous disgust directed toward her pale and delicate flesh. Memories danced across her vision like waking dreams, memories of those same hands roaming up past her thin shoulders to grip her neck or yanking on her arms and hurling her across the room to add to the permanent yet ever changing mass of bruises, cuts and scars, many of which still marred her flesh. A gruesome testament to the suffering she and millions of others had endured, as the weak fell to the strong.

However, in the time since her freedom, Celora had developed something of a wary expectation regarding surprises, and recovered quickly as she followed the insistent tugging of the Black Sun Agent. While much of the under city looked similar to the slave alleys of her home world Nar Shaddaa, she found the atmosphere under Black Sun rule superior. If nothing else, there were far less of the massive slimy tubes of fat and flesh known as the Hutts, (No offense intended to her former master Sheog the Mad). The statue of the Blood Prince was impressive, but she was used to the worst of the myriad races, and found it hard to be in awe of any she had not personally met. Being based out of Nar Shaddaa, the name of the Blood Prince was usually either accompanied by curses and hate, or spoken in furtive whispers behind tankards of ale.

Celora found the weapons to be much more impressive, however. In her slave years, most of the weapons had been cheap and worn, taken off the bodies of other pirates or foreigners they had murdered, or plundered from the corporate ships and freighters. While the armories of the Imperial's no doubt had a weapon collection equal or greater to the one before her, she hadn't stayed long enough to be able to access them. A few pieces in particular stood out to her, such as an advanced personal energy shield, and several heavy pieces reminiscent of bounty hunting rifles she had seen in the bars on a hundred criminal worlds.

"What is the Thyferran league?"

Nath Corun, lower Vigo of the Black Sun Syndicate leaned back in his overstuffed chair as it slowly swivelled to towards his doorway. He pressed a button and the door snapped open with a whoosh of air. He had been working for the criminal syndicate since his late teenage years and though it was nearly two decades hence, the spark in his eyes show bright and he reached out his right hand in greeting, leaning forward over his ebony desk which was littered with datapads. The hand he extended was obviously robotic and designed for use with synthskin, but he had long ago removed the outer layers, and the hand was almost skeletal durasteel.

“Qi'Nali Hest, I welcome you to the Black Sun headquarters on this world. I am Nathaniel Corun, esquire. Knighted by King Heltromm of the Expanse for assassinating his pesky wife and daughter. How can I be of assistance?”
