Sith Base: The Praxeum of the Unholy Dormition

latest?cb=20081022181009

The Sith Praxium is set into the great canyon that makes up the Valley of the Dark Lords, bound into the deep sandstones, its foundations set fifteen stories beneath the valley floor. It is constructed of a series of three pyramids made from sandstone-permacrete, reinforced with Sith-steel forged on Mechis III. The pyramids match the surrounding Valley in appearance, as well as with a manufactured weathering technique to give the temples the appearance of having stood in the valley for millennia.

Faust Intergalactic Starport

The Faust Intergalactic Starport is set several kilometers from the grand causeway leading to the Praxeum. It serves as the welcoming center for the Sith Empire, and vibrant Economic Center of Trade and Relations. It hosts 24 Landing Pads for Frigate Sized Starships, interspaced with 100 Landing Pads made to accommodate the freighter-class starships so common for travelers and wayfarers since the disarmament of the Galactic Factions by the GA. The Starport boasts cargo storage areas with processing arrays to handle the influx needed from passenger liners. It exists as the main fleet staging area for the Sith Empire, with mechanical maintenance yards to service the Sith attack squadrons and loading arrays to embark troops for tactical missions.

Restaurant District and Bazaar

As the most welcoming port in the Outer Rim, the Faust Intergalactic Starport is home to some of the finest dining establishments, capable of hosting a variety of intergalactic tastes, representing the cuisine from Native Worlds throughout the Sith Empire. As one disembarks their ship, they are greeted by a wave of spiced scents upon the dusty winds. After clearance from Sith Customs, the first restaurants to great them are The Oily Hutt, decorated with slime and slithering biomechanical worms, whose grill menu is labeled here: (note that all produce is locally produced and organically bioengineered with a culture of farm-to-table and not at all thawed from carbonite, shot in the head, then deep fried for consumption)

Grill Item Menue

Can be found HERE

Beside The Oily Hutt is the Dagobah High-Top, a swampy and humid location, an absolute rarity on a desert world. Come and enjoy a sip of Swamp Milk ᙑ (80% Alcohol by Volume) and enjoy a delectable lunch menu, complete with tentacle bar-service

SHOPPING OPPORTUNITIES

Beside the gift shops typical in spaceports, there is a fantastic Slave-Bazaar where you can purchase almost any sentient (or forcibly non-sentient) species throughout the galaxy. It isn’t recommended one stays out past sundown in the slave-bazaar lest Sith Acolytes collect you for enslavement!

LODGING

Beside a seedy travelodge Sits the Golden and Glittering SHEOG TOWERS MARQUEE RESORT AND SPA, which caters to all clientele. There are comfortable accommodations for all guests without any fat shaming for self-conscious Hutts. A typical bedroom has a refresher with all types of ejection ports and collecting rods, a twin-sized bed with clean sheets, and Korriban Local Television (mostly sacrifices and inspiring Massassi ceremonies). The [Jaina x Raynuk Lover’s Suite] has accommodations for any sized guests, with a bathtub large enough to accommodate two squirming and loving Hutts, with the options for sonic, champaign, oatmeal, or water for bathing. Call ahead for accommodations and tourism packages for spelunking in ancient tombs or tours of the Praxeum of Unholy Dormition, which is open for guided tours on Tuesdays from 4:30-5:00 Galactic Standard Time.

ENTRANCEWAY TO THE PRAXEUM OF UNHOLY DORMITION

throne_of_marka_ragnos_by_darth_irradus.jpg

The entranceway, after having passed through a system of checkpoints and tunnels into the Valley of Dark Lords, looks upon the grand Temple, adorned with Sith hieroglyphs. In front of a beautifully choreographed ejection fountain is a Bronzium statue of the original Unholy Trinity, representing the Unity of the Orders. Upon intruders the statue of the Dark Lord looks down, bored by their pathetic attempts. Outside the doorway, prospective Acolytes are passed through an inspection process that would make GA investigators blush. The Doorway itself is hand-forged Sith Steel, adorned with hieroglyphs and large enough that even the most obese Hutts could enter without issue

MAIN PRAXEUM OF UNHOLY DORMITION

Based on the Sith Academy of Yuthura Ban, once inside of the grand doorways the entranceway is decorated with banners and tapestries recovered from the ancient Tombs. There is a main dining hall, where all orders come together to share in the meals prepared in the kitchens. The typical meal is rather simple, but is a fully nutritious mix of vegetables and meats. No vegans are accommodated, and end up kicked and exiled from the Sith Empire, unless their species is naturally herbivorous in nature.

The Acolyte Dormitories are small and numerous, housing two perspective students per room, with a refresher shared between two rooms. The acolyte training area teach basic Sith Philosophy, a rebuke of The Rule of Two, and preaches unification of the orders under the direction of a central power and council. There are training chambers that hone the skills of basic acolytes, under the watchful eyes of Sith Lords, who direct the Acolytes once they are ready to one of the three Orders.

Past the Dining Hall and Training Chambers, lay the Sith Trooper Dorms, which house the Home Guard, Sith Troops loyal to the Praxeum who enforce rules and guide acolytes who get lost in the meandering halls. Beyond the Sith Trooper Dorms, lay the Radar and Space Monitoring Datacenter, manned by engineers and technicians who monitor the space around Korriban through satellite and sensor arrays, in order to detect any movement from hyperspace and engage it.

The Museum of the Dark Lords show a riveting array of ancient material and propaganda for tourists and Acolytes alike. The displays show the various Sith Victories in Galactic History, from the Killing Fields of Dantooine and the subsequent documentaries and holodramas, to The Corellian Incident. Each past Dark Lord is detailed in biographical form, with paintings or holorecordings of their achievements.

From the Main Praxeum lay three paths to the smaller three Pyramids, dedicated to the three unified Orders of the Sith .

The Temple of Assassins:

UCPtctH.jpg

The Temple of Assassins is dedicated to their master, Exodus and his curriculums. The Temple is decorated in the dark style typical of the Assassins, who prefer to hide in the shadows which the dimmed lighting allows. There is a Stealth Training Arena, which doubles as a lecture hall for such teachings as: Twisting and Erasing the Mind, Archetypes of Assassinations, Terrorism and False Flag Operations, Tuk’ata Bonding, and Galactic Alliance Political Doctrine and How to Twist It, to name a few.

Beneath the Assassin Dormitories lay the interrogation chambers where prisoners and slaves are experiments upon and torture techniques are perfected. Each Interrogation Room comes equipped with medical equipment and a medical droid just in case things get a little too intense.

The Temple of Warriors

wspfpxk.jpg

The Temple of Warriors is dedicated to the master of their Order, Quietus and his curriculums. The Temple is decorated in a spartan style, utilizing function over form. It is a place of great violence, where slaves and clones are used to demonstrate effective killing techniques. Tests of strength happen often in the dueling arenas, along with beasthunts and gladiatorial displays. Tactical training and Massassi Integration is taught in small lecture rooms. The majority of the space in the temple, apart from Dormitories is dedicated to effective use of the Lightsabers in combat, with training droids and sparring. Statues of the Warrior Caste Heroes line the walls, and Mandalorian values are trained, with a focus on Neo-Crusader Doctrine and Tactical use of troops

The Temple of the Krath

w550iMI.jpg

The most ornate and lush, the temple is dedicated to the creator of the Korriban Praxeum, and leader of the Krath, Sheog the Mad. There is a grand library and study hall in the east wing for use by students who desire to collect knowledge from books and holocrons. Archeological teams are based out of the temple for their studies of The Valley of Dark Lords, and assist the Krath Lords in their studies of the Ancients.

Sorcery and science studies are based out of the Western Wing, with alchemy and blacksmithing being emphasised. The Krath Steelworks are able to produce efficient material for the manufacturing of Sith weapons of war. Beneath the Dormitories is the laboratories where biomechanical experiments are performed, along with necromancy. The Intergalactic Genome Project, which doubles as a study on Sith Manipulation of Genetic Code for creation of more brutal weaponized hybrids occur here.

Throne of The Dark Lord

DRzOdBq.jpg

A large banqueting hall, with enough stone tables to sit 300, with adequate kitchens to supply them. The throne itself was made from Krath-Forged steel, coated with Tuk’ata leather with Bothan and Ewok-fur trimmings. The statues held within the chamber represented the unity and equality of the three Sith orders behind the power of the Dark Lord.

Corps Diplomatique

...Weaving Spiders Come Not Here...

Attached to the Praxeum lies the Factional Diplomatic Corps, whose goal is to pressure the surrounding worlds into the Sith Empire. Each Faction has an Embassy attached

Black Sun’s Embassy and Casino Experience:

Marked by the three meter bronzium statue of Black Sun’s most proficient fighter, Delta73, in full form and flexing, his large endowment highlighted with corusca gems. He was the mighty Baccus for the eternal party that made up the Black Sun Embassy, and an adventurous tourist might be able to guzzle spiced Corellian mead straight from the clone’s ‘fountain.’

At its heart, the Black Sun Embassy was a casino, with enough Sabacc tables and gambling dens to house a legion of customers willing to lose their children’s university funds in a game of slightly rigged chance. It had enough spare dormitories to accommodate any refugees in the off chance that Black Sun was forced to flee to the space of the Sith Empire.

Scorp Jedi Knight Jedi Knight Embassy for Fascist Jedi Knights

Due to a seeming obligation, an embassy exists for any Jedi Knights that desire to visit the Sith Temple to meet peacefully with any of the local denizens. The Embassy houses the Sith’s ‘Anti-Religious Extremism’ publishing house and information center that highlighted the fact that the Jedi Order was not the enemy, only Jedi Extremists. The center calls for an end of GA-Jedi integration and a removal of the Fascist control the Jedi have over the Galactic Core. An endless line of picketing protesters surround the embassy, calling out the Jedi for their lack of action, and their false flag attacks on Coruscant. Sith Acolytes frequent the area, handing out fliers calling out the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order as the ‘Worse then Deton’ and a renowned philanderer with possible romantic ties with humans.

Moon Moon and M’dala Mando’a Cultural Appropriation Center

Decked out with historical artifacts from the age of the Neo-Crusaders, this embassy serves as a cultural touchstone for Mandalorians. It glorifies the warfare that made the Mando’a great, with emphasis on ‘Making the Mandos Great Again’ calling for the ruling Fett clan to join with the Sith to wage some honourable warfare instead of useless romance.

Aryian Greyfire Center for Grey Force Users

Originally misunderstanding Sheog’s orders, the workforce installed a hair salon in the embassy with extra emphasis on hair-dye. After correction and several dozen slaughtered workers mixed into the permacrete, the embassy for the ever-growing number of force-users with commitment issues was remade into a study center for both sides of the Force, and for counseling those who wished to leave either order which consists of a slap to the side of the head.

Hutt Orphanage and Fertility Center

Run by Nenone, Nougat, and Gurgle, three Hutt brothers listed in the order of birth. Kind but demented, the three Hutts run a Hutt breeding center in order to supply Wyrms to the Krath for experimentation, because to them racial purity and eugenics is incredibly important. The creche is well decorated in the fashion of ancient Nal Hutta, with a glorification of the Hutt Species as the masters of culture and decidance.

Imperial Embassy and Re-education Center

Empty except for some strange looking shower stalls

DEFENSES

-Point-Defence Systems are dotted throughout the Temples, and the Spaceport, along with 36 Turbolaser Batteries and three Ion Cannon Arrays. Each array is manned by trained staff with independent firing control and power supply

- Roving Patrols of Sith occur throughout the spaceport and Temple Grounds, with probe-droid support within the deserts surrounding the Praxeum.

-Missile Defenses capable of engaging Frigate-class ships with Concussion Missiles and Proton Torpedoes or any threat to emerge from hyperspace, coordinated by the satellite array that surrounds the planet and solar system.

-Coordination with the main datacenter and the Sith Lords dedicated to sensing any arriving danger.

- 4000 Dedicated Ground Support Troops, taken from the various orders and the Home Guard with the air support of 24 close-air support and antifighter vehicles, based around the V-wing chassis..

The Borg pop out of hyperspace, and immediately jump back up their own backsides back to their proper fandom. Nobody likes the Borg as a plot device, and somehow this action that almost nobody observed proves it.

Thrawn stares a moment at what was, almost realizing for a moment that the fabric of spacetime rewove itself to cover up some ancient embarrassment, of which he was party to. Silently, he goes about his business, hopefully making something better of himself in his future. Likely, however, that won't happen.

  • 2 weeks later...

*Ash and dust blow across the blackened landscape that is the surface of Korriban. Slowly decaying ruins of what once stood as the homeworld of the ancient Sith Lords, now play host to tiny retched creatures that burrow into the heart of the structures. The spirits of dark lords wander the world in search of willing vessels to inhabit, in hopes of one day returning to their former glory. Now the massive necropolis stands as a symbol to the galaxy of the price paid for serving the will of the dark side.*

*The life essence of the Sith warrior DMD wanders the surface, patiently waiting for the arrival of his apprentice, Khaos Anarch.*

A TIE defender star-fighter launches out of hyperspace with a jolt, just over the planet of Korriban. Carefully, the pilot guides the round-cockpitted craft through the armosphere, killing the engine thrust and engaging repulsors, landing it gently in a cloud of roiling dust.

A thin figure clambers out of the thin hatch at the top of the spherical body of the fighter and slides to the ground. He then pulls away the heavy flighthelmet and the life-support gear. Khaos sends a message out through the fabric of the Force.

"I have arrived, Master...."

When last I visited this place, I found a Sith holocron that taught me of the ancient art of the Sith sword. After I forged one for myself I left something behind that will prove most useful to you, Khaos. My former master Jgod gave me her lightsaber long ago, while I was still an apprentice. It holds great power and can be used as an Achilles' heal against her. Your task is to simply go down into the valley of Shadows and retreive it. I warn you to stay alert, there are things down there that guard the valley. This is the first of the three trials that will ready you for your ascension towards being a Sith Lord. Go forth and face the darkness, my apprentice.

Khaos kneeled down as he spoke, slowly and thoughtfully. "/As you wish, My Master. Your bidding is my command" He waited a beat, then straightened, Standing perfectly still. An uphill draft tossled a strand of over-long hair into his ebon right eye. Perfect. He turned towards his right and carefully picked his way through the rocky turain, descendingacross the pebble-strewn slope into the valley.

He wasn't half-way down, when his foot caught on a loose outcropping of rock, jolting him off hisprecarious balance and sending him tumbling head-first down into the valley. He cursed and tried to righ himself but just kept rolling down over sharp sharps of broken stone and super-heated glass, until he came up against a large boulder wit a bone-crunching thud.

That was stupid. Very Stupid. Idiot. He thought to himself. Probably snapped your spine as well, clumsy fool... The thought inspired him to make sure that he could, still indeed move. He tested this by attempting to get up. He had barely staggered to his feet before his knees buckled and he fell agaist the boulder again, fighting nausea. He was suddenly aware how verey loud his breathing was and made an effort to quiet his intake of air, but it was too late. Something had sensed him. Something close by. Idiot.

Cautiously, Khaos pushed himself to his feet and withdrew the long silver cylinder of his Lightsaber, holding it ready...

*DMD watched his apprentice descend into the valley of Shadows. He could sense that he was unsure of what lay ahead waiting for him. He was also curious about what his next trial would be. DMD sensed his excitement when he found the discarded lightsaber and that Khaos was surpised with the ease that his task had been completed. DMD poured multiple streams of his darkside energy into the valley, stirring up its' guardians.*

*The ground began to stir with movement, as shadowed figures rose up from the earth. Long dead Sith warriors who made their last stand fighting over the fate of a holocron that was no longer there, shook dust off their withered(sp) bodies. They stood sniffing the air, and found a familiar scent. The scent of life. Something they no longer had and what they had grown to hate in death. The group of dead warriors marched towards the source of that hatred, Khaos Anarch.*

Khaos waited for an attck, but none came. Shaking his head, he continued on into the valley. A precense was gnawing at his mind, calling him, drawing him, filled with the allue of darkness. He went toward it, and finally came to a halt before a slab of stone. he reached out, and felt his fingers close upon the coold metal of a lightsaber. Giddyness filled him and he grinned impishly, before suddenly becming uneasy. This was far too simple.

Something is not quite right here...

Before he even fnished the thought, he became horribly aware of the Death surrounding him, bursting from the crypts, filling the air with the rank stink of rotting flesh still clinging to dusty bones. He fought back his revoltion and shoved the Lightsaber he had been sent to fetch into his belt, and drawing his own blade.

He ignited the two hissing beams of darkness and waited, and for a second, there was complete stillness. Then the masses of long-dead sith warriors went berserk, flinging themselves upon him in wild recklessness. He brought the weapon up and cleaved the first several apart, but they kept coming, hordes of them, their already decomposing flesh slicig apart with sucking noises as he hacked at them, fighting them back.

He felt a clammy feeling on his neck and tried to turn, but the dead-thing behind him already had a grip on his neck. Incredibly strong for a creature with barely any muscles left to it's skeletal frame, it chokes air from his lungs. Khaos gasped and hacked and tried to escape it's clutch, but the thing was relentless. he finally managed to swing his blade behind and cleave the thing's arms off, but even then, he had to tear thebrittle fingers from his throat.

And they kept coming. Wave upon wave pon wave, the dead of Millenia past, they kept running and shreiking, forcing air from rotting lungs as they lunged. I can't fight them off like this. I have to find another way....

Khaos gritted his teeth, then calld upon the inky darkness, the oily strands of energy that he could manipulate to his will; The darkside. Pulling upon it, he grabbed a fistfull, then sent it through the ranks of un-dead corpses that surged towards him.

It went straight throgh them, striking their useless shells in half and whisking away whatver spirit remained in them, leaving nothing but bones scattered for miles. Khaos felt a grin creep across his face, then went back to the rise and began the ascent.

You have done well my apprentice. Though you didn't come through it completely unharmed. It would seem that one of their Sith swords sliced you across the back of your arm. I I were you , I would treat it as an infected cut. Sith swords sometime have added surprises such as alchemically altered blades laced with deadly toxins.

I will give you time to tend to that, but for now I need you to listen. Your next task is to recover a Sith Amulet from deep inside one of the tombs under the old temple. There is a spirit that roams those catacombs. A very dangerous one. It is the spirit of a Sith Lord who turned cannibalistic because he believed that by eating his enemy, he could take their power and become stronger. All who have gone before have died horrible deaths, but I know you will not fail me Khaos Anarch. That is why I am going to tell you how to beat it. The amulet I spoke of has the power to destroy it. And what ever you do don't stay in one spot for two long. I have heard that he can possess you, then make you do things to injure yourself. When you are ready I will guide you to the site.

At his Master's word Khaos's fingers immediately flew up to his arm to check for the wound. He immediately felt damp cloth and parted flesh, sending a stab of throbbing pain up through the limb. He muttered a curse and reached for his cloak to tear away a strip of cloth to bind it with, only to remember he was still wearing the flightsuit that he had worn in the cockpit of the TIE fighter, and all his things were still in the fighter.

"Yes master." he menatlly murmured, then joged over to the ball-shaped cockpit of his landed fighter. Climbing up a couple of large rocks, he managed to get atop the sphercal craft and into it wthout a ladder or much trouble. Once inside he groped about until he found his tattered and stained cape. Finding the frayed hem, he ripped away a piece of cloth and returned his attention to the wound on his arm.

While rather long, and wide where the skin peeled back, it was relatively shallow and seemed to be clotting nicely. Still, if what his Master said was true, and Khaos doubted that the sith lord was one to play tricks, it could prove deadly anyways. Temporarily wrapping the cloth around his upper arm, he reached out with hs other one and brushed his fingertips along the bulk-head of the cockpit. He gently scanned by touch for any cracks or lines in the smooth metal that may signify an emergency compartent.

Finally, he found a handle and pulled, feeling a med kit fall out. He fished around through it and found the bacta capsule. He poured that and several other disinfectants on the wound before binding it up tightly. He then put the kit back and climbed back out of the cockpit into the still rankness of the Korriban air. He knelt down on the ground. "I am ready master, show me the way."

*Khaos can't actually see his master, but he can kind of feel a tug, guiding him in the desired direction. The blackened landscape stands as a reminder of the centuries of constant battle and bloodshed. The ground is fry and unfertile. Khaos Anarch's boots crush the hollowed topsoil, leaving a trail of dark footprints in the dirt.*

*The journey soon led them towards the ruins of an old temple. Then a short climb up a steep hill which over looked the deserted grounds that would have served as a courtyard. In the middle of this courtyard lay a deep hole or so it appeared until Khaos moved closer to inspect it. The hole turned out to be a passage leading to the underground caverns that branch out beneath the old temple. A foul breeze blows through the subterranean tunnels and finds the nostrils of the Sith apprentice.*

Khaos, you second trial awaits you. Remember the warnings I gave you earlier. The amulet can destroy the Sith spirit. Go forth and embrace your destiny.

Khaos shuddered and nodded. "Yes Master. I will not fail." He murmured, tring to ignore the breeze coming from the mouth of the tunel he knelt over, the breeze that reaked of carrion and dried blood. I will not fail... He wished he belived it more.

Reaching out through the endless material of energy, the Force that surrounded him, Khaos felt with it, and engaged the sixth-sense he had trained himself to use, in place of his lost sight, using the feedback he recieved to paint a perfect image of his surroundings in his mind. He checked the diameter and depth of the hole, before jumping in.

For a moment, he was suspended in air, time, and space, then his feet struck the ground, sending a jolt through his legs, making hhis knees threaten to buckle. Khaos winced, then straitened, feeling for a wall to guide himself along with.

"Don't stay in one spot too long..." the words of his master echoed in his mind. Khaos's fingers found the rough, dusty surface of one of the stone-wrought walls and followed it, walking at a brisk pace, his heels crunching in the gravel of the dirt. Distant whispers seemed to echo through the rocky corridors, harsh, but indistinguishable. Khaos gritted his teeth. I will NOT let myself be afraid. I have no fear. A sith does not know fear, but strikes it into the hearts of his enemies!

The whispers softned, then died down, being replaced by a deep, throbbing hum, so low, he didn't so much hear it, as feel it. At first Khaos thought it was merely his imagination playing tricks on him in the silence, but the hum grew steadily stronger, calling him, pulling him... He found his pace quickening, from a walk to a trot, from a trot to a jog, from a jog to an all out run as he raced towards the source of the dark-sided power. Undoubtedly, the Amulet.

Racing through the narrow passageway, Khaos thought he heard something call his name behind him. He wanted to turn, but found to his shock that he couldn't so strong was the call. The sensation of something behind him was growing stronger too, and he shuddered, remembering his master telling him of all those who encounterred the roaming spirit died horrible deaths.

Then he burst from the passageway into a large cavern, a thick breeze filled with the sickly-sweet stench of death striking him in the face as he ran. The hum was now a roar, consuming all his senses, all his thoughts...

...Then it stopped. Khoas blinked for a moment in shock, then became aware of the feeling of cold metal in his palm. For a second he marveled at the aura of darkness surrounding the amulet, but was interrupted by a resounding screech as the Spirit of the dead sith lord lunged at him in full attack.

OOC:Feel free to finish this scenario however you see fit Khaos. I should have posted earlier that I wanted you to improvise on your battle with the Sith Spirit. I have faith in your RP ability to come up with something worthy of your kind of flare. Good luck and I look foward to seeing what your creative mind can come up with.

IC:* DMD's essence could be felt around the mouth of the opening leading in to the underground tunnels. He felt desperation emmitting from his apprentice as he searched blindly for an object that he wasn't even sure was really there. There was alot of doubt in Khaos' mind. For a split second DMD could feel his apprentice contemplating if whether or not the amulet really existed and if he were sent down there to die. Those feelings of dread and uncertainty quickly disaapeared as he got closer to his objective. DMD could sense the emmense power down there. And then he felt the power meld with Khaos. Then death's foul stench filled the tunnels. A raging evil awoke from dormancy and raced hungrily toward the scent of life. Khaos Anarch turned around just in time to see it emerge from the shadows of the tunnel from which he came, blocking his path.*

((OOC: Oh, ermm.... ok. Thanks! I've been swamped in a boundless sea of homework the last few days... argh!!!! smile.gif hope this bit's ok...))

Khaos almost gave an involuntary scream at the creature's attack, but something thick and cloying smothered the sound from him, forcing contaminated air back into his lungs, making him retch. He floundered backwards for a moment, blinded by shock and panic, before catching his balance against a rock.

Silence.

He inhaled shakily, suddenly wishing that h could have his long lost sight back just this once. What's it doing? is it gone, or just toying with me? He gritted his teeth, and with his free hand, reached for his lightsaber. His fingers had barely skimmed across the pommel before another hair-raising shreik pierced his consciousness and something lunged at him. Khaos cried out and tried to raise his arms in self-defense, only to find in complete morbid horror that he was paraized to the spot. He almost swore that he heard a low, sub-sonic chuckle at that moment, but it was impossible to tell over the racing beat of his heart.

Unable to move, panic and terror rose in his mind... ”œI have heard he can posses you, than make you do things to injure yourself...

*DMD could sense his apprentice before he saw him emerge from the horrors of the tunnels. His Sith attire was now torn, blood trailing from his forehead down the side of his face, showing off the signs of his recent battle.*

*DMD allowed himself a mental smile. Khaos Anarch was turning out to be everything he wanted him to be. He was eager and capable. To DMD he was clay. A substance he could mold into the type of being worthy of the title Sith. And with every trial he passes his strength greatly increases. Two trials down and one to go. This last trial would be the hardest of all.*

You have done well, Khaos Anarch. Your next and final trial will take place in due time, but for now, I want you to rest. You will need your strength, all of it and more for what lies ahead of you. Go and meditate. Tomorrow, I will explain everything to you.

Much to tired to disagree, or do much of anything for the mater, Khaos just dumbly nodded. "Yes master..." he mumbled, nearly choking on the words as they tumbled from his dry, blood-caked lips. He limped back over to the cockpit of his TIE fighter, pulled himslf up and into it, the fainted.

He wasn't quite sure when he came to again, but he didn't think too much time had passed by. He hadn;t the slightest inkling how he knew this; he just did. Rubbing at his aching head, and spitting out a couple of curses in a multitude of languages, he groped around the flloor with his left hand, looking for the med-kit he had used earlier and neglected to put back in it's proper compartment. When he finally found it, he ran his finger-tips over each bottle until he recognized the seal for bacta capsules. He pried t open and loppeed two into his mouth, swallowing them.

Now- his arm. Wincing slightly, Khaos pulled back the sleeve of his now very torn and tattered flightsuit. I should probably change back into my regular clothes before this gets any more beat up...might not make it through void... he thought to himself dully. The cut from the blades on his upper arm was healing quite nicely, pale scar tissue showing no signs of festering. Good. His wrist though.... Khaos sighed and reached out into the Force, pulling out a nice, sticky strand of it, shoving it down through his arm, to the shattered bone.

He bit his lip as the raw, unrefined energy prodded swollen pain receptors, sending fire lancing up through the limb. I do not fear pain. Pain is my friend. Pain is my tutor. pain is my instrument... The strand of Force wrapped itself around the little bits and shards of bone, then in one graceful jerk, snapped them all back together. Swearng violently, Khaos reached for a splint and some bandages, wrapping his hand up appropriately. While the bone had been fused back together, the tissue was still sensitive and it would be best to let it settle without any additional stress for a while. Pulling out a canteen from his life-support gear, he poured a bit onto his hhand, then splashed it on his face, Wincing as it met the gash on his chekk. That will leave a scar... oh well.

Lying back down on the floor of the cockpit, Khaos tumbled into a deep sleep....

Khaos Anarch. It is time.

*DMD called for his apprentice with purpose and authority. Khaos opened his eyes and listened to his masters words.*

Before you were my apprentice, I was the an apprentice myself. An apprentice to the Sith Empress Jgod. We were a student and teacher who had crossed a line into something that was not Sith-like in nature. We had feelings for one another, that ran deeper than they should have. Those feelings seperated us but we always found our way back to each other. The last time that happened we landed here. On this very planet ancient Sith spirits appeared before us and placed marks upon our foreheads. These marks turned out to be marks of destiny. Those who bare them would be destined to rule over the Sith. Jgod was chosen to succeed the former Emperor, Heretic, after he became one with the dark side. Though upon her return she was was forced to duel a young Sith Lord named Barohm Zar, who was acting as the new Emperor. She beat him and won his loyalty. She accepted the title reluctantly and began her reign as Empress.

Then the whispers of weakness echoed through the temple. Rumors that Jgod ws not strong nough to rule began to circulate and eventually found he ears as well. Seeking to squash such assumptions she dueled me for my trials to be a Sith Lord. What didn't know wa sthat her intent was to make an example out of me by killing me. To show that old ties can be severed just as easily as my neck. I had never seen her act the way she did that day, but I gave as well as I got. And when I thought she was down for the count, she clouded everyones mind who were witnesses to our battle. She created the illusion that she had beheaded me with her lightsaber, while in reality she rendered me unconscious. The Sith accepted her hoax and went on with their lives.

My punishment for sharing the mark and loving an Empress, was to be locked away in the bowels of the Sith temple. She said it was the only way to keep me safe and to avoid the inevitable. At first I thought she meant to protect me from plots to kill me to get to her, then after a period of time the answer became clear. She was protecting me from her. Our marks of destiny meant that one day we would have to duel to the death for leadership of the Sith.

Now I hear rumors of her defection to the Jedi and the Lord Ar-Pharazon being named Emperor. I am willing to rot in exile from my Empress to save her heartache, but I refuse to let someone like Lord Ar-Pharazon rule over the Sith when I am supposed to be next in line. It is my right and my destiny. And if Jgod has strayed, it is my duty to retun her to her true calling as she once did for me. Your job, my apprentice and your final trial is to release me from the dungeons below the temple. This is not as easy as it sounds. There are armed guards and whatever else the Sith have roaming the corridors. Also I have a small request. During my battle with the Empress, my sword became inbeddded in a slab of duracrete. I would appreciate it if you could free it and bring sword when you come for me. Do you accept this task?

Khaos paused and rubed his head as he processed everything that his master had told him. What was now being asked of him for his third trial was dangerous, stupid, out-right treason, and by all means suicidal.

But it was a challenge, and Khaos had never- and would never- turn down a good challenge. Grinning like an idiot, he answered:

"Yes, master- I accept." he paused for a moment, "Is there anything else I must know? Or should I make my departure?"

Soundless cries on raven's wings

Tears flowing like desert diamonds

Dark and silently he sings.

Leave immediately, my apprentice. It would seem that my presence has been discovered and a crowd is forming. In my weakened state I don't think I can handle so many by myself. When you arrive, remain hidden until you see me signal you. Remember, there are powerful Sith about, so don't do anything foolish. I await your arrival.

"Yes Master!" Khaos immeditaely got up and groped about for his life support gear. After hooking it all up to his flightsuit and strapping himself somewhat haphazardly into the pilot's seat, he flipped the fighter's systems to on. he computer let out a series of positive bleeps, informing him that all the systems were in order, before the young apprentice engaged the repulsors and the TIE defender took off.....
