The N-1T known to a select few as "Unjust" exited hyperspace above the ancient ice planet.

Re-Entering the atmosphere it set down at one of the former battle sites of the Clone Wars and again in the Civil War. Ancient scripts depicted it as an old coastal shipping harbor. But it had been thousands of years since that time. One could still find old corpses still buried in the snow. Rancid and repulsive, most of them still frozen in the mangled patterns on the day they fell.

There were even remnants of old armor that was used in the battles. Quite remarkable. Silently the ship set down nearest one of the old buildings. A cloning pod was attached to the bottom of the ship. Should the AI in the ship receive a signal, it was set to re-create a clone of the owner. Until then, it would sleep.

Contingency plans were always a good idea. The bounty hunter known as Slicer, who was also a Sith Master had temporary taken up the Dark Lord Mantle, then was vanquished. A contingent plan was put in place for just such an event. A burst transmission was sent to the N-1T, bouncing off thousands of relays so it was untraceable. It was all the data from Gala that Tobias had set in play earlier. It was just pieces of the puzzle. Unfortunately, it was all set back due to Slicer's demise. And shortly before, Tobias's demise. There was a back up that Tobias put in place- should Slicer die.

But there was a stirring in the Force, Tobias was physically gone. But his presence could still be felt, and sometimes even seen. The apparition watched over the harbor as there was a gust of snow that blew.

As soon as the wind died down, the figure vanished. Tobias still had plans to preform, and it would be easier to do them as a ghost. The knowledge would sit inside the star fighter, and there it would stay. Until all the puzzle pieces fell in together.

While I hate to be “that mod,” there is an issue here that requires an official response

There have been no IC actions to prove that such a maneuver is possible. Tobias died on Coruscant, but never beforehand indicated that such a transmission was or would have been sent. In the present time, Tobias does not have control over the Jedi shuttle, so there is no way that he’d be able have any sort of transmission sent. Simply declaring, in the present, that there was a contingent plan in place in the past, does nothing to logically secure one. Of course, if Tobias is able to concretely prove that such a contingent was in place, then the mod team will reconsider this. Until such a point in time, the quoted paragraph above is nullified, because right now, the mod team (not just myself, unilaterally) has failed to see sufficient justification for the supposed transmission.

The presence was felt on Rhen Var once again. It was sporadic and aggressive. Invisible one minute, then a full blown apparition. He was spreading himself too thin, too fast. The Force was kicking him out of the neatherrealm back to the physical world. That's why he came back here. Tobias needed his body. Barely making it back to the ship he hesitated. A look of determination and fortitude washed upon the man's face. Concentrating he moved through the ship and into the pod.

The first breath was always the most painful. It was as if fire was erupting in the man's internals. Withering in pain for a few more moments he collected himself. Hitting the button to release him from the pod, the cold of Rhen Var brushed onto his wet, naked body. Quickly getting out of the pod he grabbed the handle for the small compartment that held his clothes. Acting fast, he reached out with the Force to ignite the engines. Getting changed fast he jumped into the cockpit. His day was just getting better and better. The heat was taking a few minutes to engage. Shivering, Tobias dropped the cloning pod onto the ground, after resetting it. In a few hours there would be a new cloned body inside the pod.

Then finally, heat. Letting out a sigh of relief, he started pre-launch. Seconds later he was off the ground screaming through the sky. He was encoding a message and getting coordinates to a certain ship. One that belonged to his former master. Whom had been obliterated from the known galaxy. Someone else beat him to the punch.

The red circle around Tobias's eyes glowed for a second more, then faded away just as real space faded past him.

We've been waiting, young Sith.

Just as Tobias punched in his coordinates and was free from the planet's hold, the voice skittered into his skull like a thousand spiders, each one stringing the web in a different direction. Before even fear or confusion could enter in to his next heartbeat his world went black. The acolyte the Sith had sent had been waiting on him for some time in Tobias' personal ship, knowing he would one day return. None escaped the watchful eye of the Dark Lord.

<< Rhen Var has been a planet with Jedi ties to it. We are unsure what sort of ties they hold to now. Your job will be to listen in to the local vendors on planet, and to see what sort of Jedi artifacts you can find on the planet to bring back to Lehon in one piece. >>

Watching and taking lead from her fellow Jedi, Kailen, Haloburner Lighterre paused with gear, and bag in hand shortly upon exiting the exit ramp. They pair had been sent to Rhen Var on fairly easy mission, at least in the teen's mind it is. Like all things, time will tell if the pair's exploration assignment is as easy as it sounds.

Kailen managed to find some way to clean her face off on the long journey to Rhen Var. She didn't really know where the planet was, but it was in the ship’s system, so navigation wasn't really that much of an issue. The only thing that she regretted was that she hadn't brought a coat. On the way to the planet she looked up a little information about Rhen Var, and the first thing she noticed in her search was, it was cold. Great, she thought, I am going to freeze my butt off out here… Kailen-cicle.

Kailen had very little experience with cold, and the only experience she did have was not good. She was sent on a mission with a small squad of Jedi to resolve an issue on Hoth and she developed a rare illness from the over-abundant exposure to below freezing temperatures. It lasted a few weeks and involved a great deal of sneezing, so she wasn’t really looking forward to a repeat experience.

Halo showed a little more excitement about walking hurriedly into the cold air, but Kailen managed to distract herself with the closing down of the ship long enough to delay the biting reminder that she was being foolish when she left her stuff behind. She set the landing precautions and locked all of the necessary internal storage units. When she finished that, she started arbitrarily flipping switches on the pilot control panel when she knew damn well that they did nothing when the ship was off. She didn’t turn the ship completely off, so it could stay a little warm in the frigid climate, but she turned off enough of the systems that she didn’t receive any response from the switches as she clicked them back and forth.

The second thing she noticed in the planet description was that it was virtually uninhabitable and the only ‘vendors’ that got within even a few clicks of here to sell around the planet, were housed in space and they were very few in number. There was little to no one else on this planet as far as they could tell, so Kailen was already eager to leave as much of Rhen Var behind as she could.

After an hour or so of delaying and arbitrary searching, Kailen managed to procure a thicker jumpsuit in the back of the ship and put it on over the suit she already had. It was a little tight in places due to the overlay in fabric, but she slipped it on and followed Halo out.

“HOLY CRAP!”

Kailen yelped when she exited the vessel, because she came face to face with a giant pylon buried in the snow. The pylon was made of solid stone and it looked to be hundreds of years old or more.

Kailen’s mouth formed a really large ‘O’ and persisted in shock until she noticed more of the structure buried in the ice. “I think we found something Halo, and we barely even walked out the front door.”

This development was interesting to say the least and some part of Kailen wanted to justify their search and run away while she still could, but some part of her –despite Kailen’s misgivings about cold – wanted to continue searching.

“There’s got to be a door around here or something.” Kailen said, placing the large leather work gloves she used earlier on two very frozen, freckled hands. “ACHOOO!”

Kailen’s entire body convulsed with the force of the sneeze and the sound echoed across the frozen plain.

Great…

Alos Nexkin, an older man in about his sixties stood from afar and watch the door young girls depart from their vessel and out into the cold. It seemed obvious to him that neither were at all prepared for the bitter cold they were now facing. Carefully and slowly, he began to walk down towards the two, making a shout only once one of the girls sneezed rather loudly.

"You two won't survive for very long on this planet without proper jackets."

Kailen was about to brace for another sneeze when a man broke through the whipping frozen tundra. He seemed fairly brazen to brave the blizzard as he was, but Kailen was too busy with herself to truly decipher more about the situation. The thick layers of redundant jumpsuits didn't help as much as she thought they would and the thick gloves were warm for only a minute before the omnipresent cold consumed them. She clasped her arms to her sides and could feel her teeth shaking in her jaw. Then, when the man was beginning his approach, Kailen let out a another huge sneeze. This time, the sneeze almost knocked her to her butt.

"You two won't survive for very long on this planet without proper jackets."

The man seemed oddly concerned about them, as if he had any stock in the condition of two women out in the middle of nowhere. Kailen could hardly debate though, because she was currently suffering for her lack of foresight. When she was going to answer him back though, she looked over at Halo for a moment and stopped. Halo was even less prepared than Kailen thought and her skin was so blue that Kailen could swear she was frozen solid. At closer observation Kailen could still see some movement, but Halo looked so cold that she could barely move.

Kailen looked at the man, then looked back at Halo and then looked back at the man. "You wouldn't happen to have access t-t-t-t-oooo.... ACHOOO!!" The sneeze loosed a small pile of snow from a low hanging piece of architecture and it fell on Kailen's head. The redhead did her best to stifle a scream, but it came out as a yelp instead and reached for the higher decibels of her vocal range.

When Kailen was able to stand comfortably once more and the cold of the snow had melded with the cold of the air around her, making it worse, she looked at the man once again. "You wouldn't have access to winter clothes would you?"

Kailen looked around at the large ruin that surrounded the party and put Halo's body back inside the ship to help her warm up.

Alos Nexkin smiled at the girls comment. She seemed to be older, and very well might be the one in charge of the two. Their appearance suggested Jedi, but lack of common knowledge hinted at maybe something else, for most Jedi would have prepared for the cold. With a slow nod of his head, the older man responded.

"Yes I do actually. Follow me this way."

Alos turned his back and motioned for the two to follow him back towards his hut, which could be spotted in the far distance.

Kailen was a little concerned about meeting a strange man in the middle of a frozen wasteland, even if there was a giant Jedi Ruin clinging to the edges of the icy valley. The fact that he was here could mean there were others, or it could mean that he was the guardian of the planet and was meant to kill anyone who stepped foot near the ruins. Kailen didn't know for sure, but when he said that he had access to winter clothes, some part of her accepted him completely as if nothing else mattered.

You either die out here a Kailen-cicle, or you follow a strange man to his hut and probably die there, whichever comes first.

The death she would suffer in the cold would have been much slower and more miserable than anything else she could imagine, so she followed after the man and kept an eye out for the domicile that he spoke of. She hid Halo inside the shuttle that they both used to get to the planet and rigged the atmospheric regulators to maintain the temperature at somewhere between sixty and eighty degrees Fahrenheit. Halo was taking time to thaw out, but Kailen didn't want to lose the man's trail, so on her way out of the starboard airlock she grabbed a few flares and left a trail behind her as she went.

She could see the man in front of her as she ran to catch up despite the protestation of her limbs. The biting chill of the breeze against her cheek threatened to send her to the ground, but she was motivated now. She could see the hut in the distance and felt warmth streaming through the center of her chest.

If only I could remember that power that my master used to regulate his body temperature, then this wouldn't be that bad.

Kailen rushed even further, using the momentum of her body to keep herself warm and finally managed to catch the man as the two of them neared his home.

Alos turned his head towards the young woman whom had finally caught up to him. For a short second there, he thought the woman would rather die than get help from a strange old man. Carefully opening up his door, he ushered the woman. upon entry, she would find a spacious room with a single couch looking furniture, a warm fire place, and a few doors that clearly lead more than what Alos Nexkin was willing to show.

"It's not much, but it keeps me warm during these past few years here on this frozen planet. Although I hear it's nothing compared to Hoth."

Alos couldn't help but laugh out loud at the very thought of living from one cold planet to another.

Kailen gripped at her sides to check if she could still feel her arms. The harsh, heavy fabric of her jumpsuits bit against her skin. It didn't take long for the freezing temperature to consume them, which meant that they provided very little comfort from the icy cold storm. They were the only protection she had though, so she needed to make do. Her nose was blooming like a rose and every other step she let out a sneeze that rivaled the one directly before it. The force of the sneezes would bring her to a stop for a moment or two, but eventually she would catch up to the strange old man and continue trudging through the thick snow.

The hut approached quicker than she had anticipated, but by the time she reached the door, she could barely feel anything. From her head to her toes, every single appendage was lost to her. The strange old man moved past her and opened the large metal door and revealed a cozy room. The warm air wrapped around her. Tingling sensations poured through and clasped at the coldest parts of her body, relieving her ails. She stepped through the threshold and immediately felt the heat from the fire. It mas magical. The ambient temperature of the room was comfortable and as Kailen moved further inside, she could feel her whole body beginning to acclimate.

The room, if it could be called that, was larger than it seemed from the outside. It was spacious and comfortable for a hut in the middle of nowhere owned by a random old man. The fact that it had any amenities at all suggested that this man was no ordinary old man, but Kailen didn't really care to much to question at the moment. She was enjoying the warm air and the occasional sneeze. She was as happy as she needed to be for the moment.

"It's not much, but it kept me warm during these past few years here on this frozen planet. Although I hear it's nothing compared to Hoth."

Kailen grimaced at the thought of Hoth and even more at the thought of Ilum, which immediately preceded it in her mind. Both planets sounded like torture and she didn't want any part of them. Where were all the requests for terrestrial or tropical planets? Would it kill them to assign her to Naboo or something?

She looked at the old man after a particularly loud sneeze and tried to fashion exactly who he was in her mind. It was difficult.

"Who are you?" she said frankly after a minute or two of silence.

The sight of the giant pylon, and Kailen's loud sneeze was the only thing Haloburner remembered. Unbeknownst to the red head Jedi she'd nearly frozen to death, due to her own doing. Going on a mission on Hen Var without proper garment would differently do that!

Thankfully, Kailen saved the poor girl by carrying her inside their ship. Hours later, the teen Jedi awoke. Kailen didn’t leave a note about her whereabouts, which left Halo a bit concerned. A look of bewilderment crossed the teen Jedi face as she searched the ship, simply to come up with nothing. Moments later, she secured several layers of clothing.

Allow the Force guide you to her.

Halo heard. That’s exactly what she did.

Exiting the ship back into the harsh cold temperature, the Naboo native allowed the Force to guide her. Before she knew it the Force had led her to a hut. By the time she reached the door the inexpensive chronometer on her tiny wrist was nearly frozen to her skin. The flares trail she’d seen all along ended at the hut. A familiar voice belonging to Kailen served as Halo’s confirmation- of sorts- she entered the building. flares

"Who are you?"

She heard as she made her way inside, her entire body nearly blue from the cold temperature.

With almost a smile that went from ear to ear, Alos almost laughed out his answer.

"Me? I'm Alos, Alos Nexkin. I've been one of the few remaining settlers on this planet for the past ten years."

Alos felt like maybe these two young girls were perhaps neither Jedi nor possible settlers. If they were either, they would have been a bit more prepared for the conditions of the planet. But now his curiosity over who they were was beginning to take over.

"And who might you two be?"

Kailen was a little surprised by Halo and sneezed to announce her arrival. The cold air crept up her spine while the door stood open and she only drew comfort when the door closed. Kailen hadn't been a very good guest so far, but seeing as how her skin had just barely thawed, she wasn't particularly attentive or careful when it came to her attitude.

She was still standing near the front of the room-house-thing when the mysterious man answered her question and to be completely honest, Kailen didn't really believe his story. Now that she could feel her body, she let her thoughts wander. She let her mind probe at him through the force, but spoke to him as if nothing else was going on. Her expression was mixed with severity, but she tried to pepper it with pleasantness to ward off hostility.

"...So you are one of the only settlers on an uninhabitable ice ball?" Kailen asked incredulously. The freckles on her forehead furrowed within a common worry wrinkle she had on her forehead and due to lingering stiffness, the wrinkle remained for a minute or two afterwards. "How do we know you aren't a Sith? Or some sort of bogey hermit man?"

She eyed him cautiously, but the warmth of the house was beginning to wear down her defenses. She started to remember that this man, even if she didn't know his motives, let them into his house out of the shrouded kindness of his heart and was offering to cloth them. Somewhere along the path of her resolve, Kailen found that she did have manners; albeit a small amount when any part of her was freezing cold. "However, since you told us your name, I will tell you mine. I am Jedi Padawan Kailen Sira Aeli." Kailen pointed a heavily gloved thumb toward Halo who was shivering at her side and said, "This is my companion and if she feels fit to give you her name, then that is her call."

Kailen was still a little stiff in manner, but the warmth was helping.

Alos couldn't help but let out a laugh at the very strange accusation from the blonde girl who introduced herself as Jedi Padawan Kailen. It has been sometime since he has seen any life outside of the other settlers, but now that he would house two Jedi...

"Forgive me for my laughter, but if I were a Sith, I wouldn't be foolish enough to stick around here. Trying to make a living on this planet is though enough without having to worry about trivial things, religious activity, and whatever it is that you Force using people do."

Alos picked up two jackets, a bit oversized for both girls, and tossed them in their direction.

"And I wouldn't say I'm the only settler. There are a few others, but we're too scattered away from each other that we rarely see each other except on our expeditions out into the frozen landscape, which doesn't hold much any more. So in a way, I am a hermit."

Alos now sat back in one of his chairs, which was slightly humorous to him, as he had just openly admitted that having company was rare, yet he still had furniture for others...

The younger Jedi made her way inside the seemingly randomly placed house. Once in she moved closer to Kailen- though she left ample room between them. She was after all the only thing familiar to Halo. Like a proper young one, the red hair Jedi listen, and only spoke when a query was directed to her.

"And who might you two be?"

Seemingly simple question, however Haloburner hesitated a bit. Partially because Kailen had hesitated to disclose Haloburner’s identity.

Eyes now focused on Kailen’s gloves, Halo wrapped her hands around her shivering body.

“Haloburner is the name…”

Pausing, Halo watched the man Alos’ demeanor quickly change. A hearty laughter, mixed in with an explanation ensued. Lighterre remained in her spot, but seconds later shifted her gaze towards the jacket thrown towards her direction. Quickly tapping into the Force, Halo pulled the jacket towards her hands and then proceeded to put it on.

Completing her response, Lighterre added,

“… but most folks affectingly call me Halo. And Kailen is right, your house does seem out of place, but then again we’re not from around these parts.”

“Thank you for the jacket.”

Halo concluded while watching Alos recline back to one of his chairs.

Kailen was already warm when she caught the jacket with her off hand. It was a bit too big for her, but she immediately slipped one of the jumpsuits off in favor of the thicker garment. She ignored the fact that the jacket made her look immensely fat and instead enjoyed the increasing warmth it gave her. There were many coos of delight from within the jacket's embrace. In fact, Kailen almost forgot what they had visited the planet for until Halo chimed in.

"We're here looking for any intact Jedi artifacts that we can bring back to the temple on Lehon. Thank you for letting us into your lovely home and lending us these jackets, but that is our true purpose here." Kailen said, slowly. "Do you know of anything like that around here?"

She was well aware that they landed near a ruined piece of architecture, but she had never been here before, so she didn't know if there was a door or anything. This man might have a lead, even if it was a weak one and she was eager to return and begin her training again.

Alos took a moment to pick up a cigar of some sorts and light it as he pondered upon the question asked of him. Jedi artifacts was what brought most of the settlers like him to the planet. The very dismay of sorts was that it was just technology artifacts. Carefully pondering his own words for the rebuttal, he spoke a bit more distantly than he did before.

"Jedi artifacts is something of a relevant term. This planet has been slowly freezing stuff that could be called ancient for years. Last artifact I ever recalled being collected by anyone on this planet was a lightsaber. Although the proof of such a thing was sparse when it was presented. Now all you can find is technology of sorts. Maybe a datapad or two might contain information relevant to someone, but with all the ruins around the planet, its hard to tell if something is a Jedi one or just a random building that was frozen over."

Alos sat back a but more this time, taking time to smoke his own cigar as he watched and pondered what the two girls would actually do.

With the jacket now doing its job, the young Jedi felt much better. Haloburner made an attempt to steer the topic back to their original purpose.

“Per Kailen our intent is to do just that--find Jedi artifacts that we could return with us. Thus far, you’re the only one with encountered.”

Pausing the Naboo Jedi would ponder what it is Alos was saying. She watched Alos relax back in his chair will smoking his cigarra.

“Our goal would require perhaps knowing the land/neighbors.”

Halos softly said.

“Thus far you've done more for us than I would have imagined. We would have frozen to death, but you aided us. That alone tells me the Force led us to you for a reason. You mentioned something about a lightsaber, perhaps you can show us the way there?... The technology trail would also be nice if you kindly point us to the last known location. Are there other neighbors that you’d be so kind to point us to? You know, like a communal place of sort.”

Alos took a moment to think upon what they were actually looking for. It seemed to him like the two, or at least Halo heard only parts of what he said. That or she was under the impression she could find something where others have not. But then again, if the two were Jedi, they might be able to locate things where others have failed.

"As I have said, proof of such a find is rare. But I am more than happy to guide you two where the reported thing was found. But as far as the whole land and neighbors thing... I can show you the lands where the ruins are. Neighbors might be a bit more difficult, seeing as we did separate ourselves out just enough to where it would be at the very least a full days walk."

Alos hoped that the two would not be up for walking. The last time he had even visited Jurelan ended up with the two trying to shoot each other. But if the two were Jedi, maybe they would help him win the fight next time around. Or talk some sense into the blasted woman.

Kailen was a little surprised by Halo's forthrightness, but she said nothing. She looked at Alos for a time and let the younger woman speak. The term 'technology' held a great deal of weight in Kailen's mind and she was a little excited to get started, but she didn't want to step out the door without getting a little perspective.

"First of all, like my companion, I would like to thank you for your help. You have done so much without request and I appreciate it. If you know where an artifact is, we don't need to speak to anyone else. In fact, the less people know we're here, the better. With the probability of Jedi Artifacts on this planet being unpredictable, we may draw more unwanted attention our way then we want to. The Sith may be interested in our little project and if that is the case, then the smaller our presence on this planet is, the better off we'll be in the long run." Kailen said, taking a few moments to zip up several zippers and get the green coat on a little tighter. It was big and puffy, which was ideal for warmth, but it had some holes in the bottom because it wasn't properly fastened.

The Red head idled in front of one of the other chairs in the room and looked around for a few moments. She stroked at her chin and tried to remember or think what their master would have asked in this situation. The only likely answer or conclusion seemed to be, find the artifact anyway they could and remove it before the Sith got their hands on it.

"The lightsaber would be the best place to start. I might be able to piece it back together if it is broken, but if other attention is required, we may have to wait until we return to Lehon." Kailen said with a soft smile. She stood to her full height and walked toward to door with a purpose. Then she stopped just outside and waited with her hands pointed toward the exit. "After you Alos."

Alos couldn't help but feel like the two were on a mission in which both felt like they could not fail. He had already told both of them that proof of the lightsaber was not seen, but both seemed very intent on finding it anyways. With a slow nod of his head, Alos stood up, put away his cigar, and prepared himself for the walk back towards the abandoned ruin. But before he stepped outside the door, he turned his head towards both and made sure they understood.

"Those ruins have very strong sheets of ice covering some of the doors, so this won't be as easy as just walking around and finding things. I hope you two are prepared for a rough challenge."

Without really waiting for a response, Alos turned and opened the door of his home and escorted the two outside into the cold snow blowing air of Rhen Var. From his place, the walk was only really a fifteen minute hike, but one that would require alertness and knowledge of the area. He knew he would be fine, but the two female Jedi... they may be a different case...

Though perhaps forthright, and naive, Haloburner Lighterre was not afraid to make her request known. Later on when Alos finally rose up and led the way to the said location of the ruins, she rejoiced- though inwardly.

“Thank you again for being accommodating and responding to our request-”

She paused momentarily to ponder on her words. Where they really a request, desperation, or a demand? Alos could have declined to be cordial, and simply turned the two Jedi away, or packing. But in lieu of that he’d not only welcomed the pair inside his home on a whim, but also dropped his plans to accommodate the Jedi. That made Lighterre smile, as she knew it was the sign of the Force leading and guiding them.

Lightly rubbing the wrinkles off her jacket, Halo exited the house, following beside Kailen - though she made sure there was ample distance between them.

“…Well with Kailen’s help I don’t foresee that much challenge that I wouldn’t be able to handle. She’s been a great help to me thus far, and I have faith in her abilities.”

The elements outside hadn’t changed much since the pair stepped foot on the cold planet. However, this time, the teen Jedi was not only physically prepared (thanks to Alos’ jacket) but also mentally ready for the challenge. She wondered how far advanced Kailen had been trained in the Force…As she knew Force sight, would easily help them locate the lightsaber in question- irrespective of the strong sheets of ice. Be it on the on the ground on the doors or be it where it may.

“We are Jedi. I know for a fact that Force sight could help us located the ruin, but we’ll need to be closer to the location. Now that I’m physically prepared, thanks to your kindness Alos, I don’t think it’ll be a problem. Providing Kailen is up for the challenge.”

Still walking beside the other Jedi, Halo paused, hoping her mouth hadn’t caused any trouble.

unless you're married you're never "stuck". Now, if you're married you can get divorced but,my friends, it's cheaper to keep her.

After dutifully pointing Alos to the door, Kailen followed behind to watch for anything that might catch the three of them walking about. Just because they hadn't seen any wild animals, didn't meant there weren't any wild animals at all. She saw Hoth years ago, covered in miscellaneous furry mammals that would more than likely eat you first before considering any other alternative, so it didn't really hurt to be cautious. She wasn't eager to be venturing off into the freezing cold wasteland, but it was better now then never and if they sat in one place for too long, they would become complacent and just want to leave the planet altogether.

Something was a little odd in the way their company carried on though. She noticed several times that, the closer she got to Halo, the further Halo walked away. It became clear after a few small tests that Halo was trying to keep space between them. Kailen was unsure why she was distancing herself in such a way, but decided to dismiss it as something that Halo wanted to do.

The blistering cold winds beat against her warm freckled face when the trio finally exited onto the cold plain, but the padding of the green jacket against her chest kept her chugging along with little complaint. She wasn't pleasantly warm, but she was warm enough that she shouldn't start sneezing again, which was good. Kailen looked around as they continued on and almost missed Halo when the young Jedi started to talk once more. She still kept her distance, which was weird, but it was clear that she was interested in the journey as much if not more than Kailen was.

…Well with Kailen’s help I don’t foresee that much challenge that I wouldn’t be able to handle. She’s been a great help to me thus far, and I have faith in her abilities.

The way she spoke made Kailen blush a little. It wasn't easy to see, because her cheeks were already red, but it was clear that Halo trusted Kailen a lot more than she deserved. It also seemed like she had an inaccurate estimation of Kailen's abilities. She did remember some of her training from years past and was starting to remember other lessons that she learned, but she wasn't a master, let alone a knight.

We are Jedi. I know for a fact that Force sight could help us located the ruin, but we’ll need to be closer to the location. Now that I’m physically prepared, thanks to your kindness Alos, I don’t think it’ll be a problem. Providing Kailen is up for the challenge.

Halo did have spunk, which was refreshing. She also had a rallying enthusiasm that Kailen respected and admired about her. Kailen's only thought about the adventure was that she'd get an opportunity to see old tech. She had an innate connection to anything technological and loved to take things apart and put them back together. As for force sight, her training of old was still around, but she hadn't tried it in so long that she was probably a bit rusty. Once she managed that though, there were other lessons that would come a bit easier and other proverbs that might make a little more sense.

She could vaguely recall an image of the Kheldor that brought her up from a young age as a Padawan Learner. She couldn't remember his name, but his teachings and his face were like distant echoes in her mind that she carried with her everywhere.

  • 2 weeks later...

((Feel free to play around this as you need to, as I will not be able to post until next Friday.))

For the most part, Alos Nexkin decided all that he really could do for the girls was walk with them and remain quiet, unless a need proves a point of him opening his own mouth. But then again, they were going to look at Jedi things, which would require a Jedi mind to understand such stuff. And it wasn't like he was Kirlocca or anything. He was just a simple, yet very random man who just happened to be along to help the two out.

After a short while though, which was more like a few hours later, Alos couldn't help but smile and speak up, as they had reach their destination.

"That my young ladies, that very large frozen looking wall is the door. I have no clue how to open it."
