Dark Sun Station

The Jedi Relief Flotilla under Sandy Sarna arrived at the rear of the combined forces. Sandy herself would stay aboard the Corona class frigate Ara-Lai with its dedicated medical facilities and assist with pilot/casualty recovery. The rest of her flotilla sped ahead to assist with the attack.

Captain Orian Wolf turned his head towards Sandy and arched an eyebrow. She let a wry half grin spread across her face before she walked beside him to the communications’ station. She could feel the real tension piquing in the entire combined fleet as pilots applied their stopjets and pulled their fighters back from the deadly game. The bridge crew behind her sighed audibly as they ignited the reverse thrusters, the fight had been so close at hand. It was the equivalent of calling a timeout right before a vital kick at a shockball tournament. So it brought some degree of stress to everyone in the fleet including Sandy. She fought that stress as she motioned to one of the officers to bring her the armour that was sitting beside her go bag.

She was working at her healing shoulder wound with her hand to loosen up the tight bunched muscles when she stepped onto the holopad that would transmit her image, in its blue holographic hue, to the grandmaster in the meeting room aboard the Ara-Lai. She sighed and snapped on her imperial issued chestpiece before she pointed to the comms officer.

She bowed deeply to the Grandmaster before glancing up with a cocky grin. She knew her place, and it was very suddenly clear it was not aboard the medical frigate. Her padawans and her friends would need her help.

“Master.” She said as she tucked her platinum blonde old padawan braid behind her ear. She knew her place, and would stick to her report. “The boarding craft are nearly all fully manned and prepared for a strike mission or negotiated transport, we are at your disposal.”

The lightsabre thrummed away, its silver blade leaving the smell of ozone in its wake as it batted way a short stream of laser bolts back towards where they had come from in the now dark hanger. Sandy let her presence touch all around her, feeling their fear, darkness, joy, anger. Letting it flow through her live a sieve identifying every presence through their emotions. Her eyes were blinded by the sudden dark but her blade kept up its spin to cover the storm of troops rushing behind her and Aidan. She motioned to Kel and brought the blade up to reflect another blast before she sprang past Aleria and bounded into the E-Web emplacement. A swing of the blade in a brilliant arc and the emplacement went silent. As did three presences.

The beachhead had been secured at least for now. She flashed a grin at the trio of Kel, Aleria, and Aidan before she made her way for the door towards the security level.

There was a battle to be had, and she would have it. She ignored the pain in her shoulder and wiped at her forehead with a green sleeve.

"You guys coming?"

The blade separated flesh as the Jedi Knights fought their way back towards the shuttlecraft. From the quick glimpses they had through the portals and from the limited tactical data that was getting sent to her arm mounted datapad Sandy could surmise that the fight had gone very poorly for the Black Sun but also fairly poorly for the Allied command. The last vestiges of the Imperial remnant sat loosing its oxygen and life support systems in the void of space, and the MC-90s were doing not much better. It was pretty frustrating for her to see every fight they seemed to get into as nothing much better than a pyrrhic victory or an outright defeat. Could then the flaw be in their entire approach?

Would small tactical strikes be a better approach at a much more heavily armed and superior opponent?

She would need to talk to Adenna.

He eyes met with Aidan’s as she cut through a mercenary, her white blade bisecting his chest. She sent the Imperial Knight a friendly smile and sent some soothing force his way. Her way to tell him she was their to talk if he needed it. The poor man was getting ran ragged by his chain of command. Then again so was she. But she had a feeling it would be like this for years to come. The hanger was not far away and they needed to go now.

Kel! Aleria! Get your ass to the shuttle now! We have to bug out before we are left behind!”

She knew Aleria and her squad were still alive even if they were engaged with a Sith from her datapad. But they had to go.

Now.
