"Yes, I believe we can for now... Thank you Victoria" said Idejjen once again muffled through his rather large helmet, condensation building up within it. The construct hesitated for a moment though as he quickly looked upon the scene before him, how exactly would it be wise to carry a fugitive into a med bay? I have never really done something like this... Idejjen only had a moment to pause however, before one of his men started to take a slight initiative and draw out something that looked like a small stretcher, while another began to draw out shackles. Idejjen felt rather relieved that his men knew what they were doing, but was also interested in helping. Idejjen gently grabbed the prisoner from his previous holders and held onto the prisoner, his breaths fairly inconsistent due to the heightened stress of the situation...

As soon as the stretcher was prepped, Idejjen gladly set the prisoner atop it and the adjacent guard shackled his hands. From there, the solace of the hallway, Idejjen's eyes never left the convict as the entire group mobilized to the med bay. His footfalls matching good rhythm with those in front of him and his masked stare practically boring into the man before him.

The Security chief drew before him his large gun, ready to fire, but also ready to stun. It was not his intention to kill the man, at least not now, as he had an unfair advantage. The man was an interesting specimen at least, not necessarily someone to be dreaded, but even the skinniest and scraggliest man with knife skill can appear intimidating.

The group swiftly bolted through the halls with the subject remaining upon the stretcher and together they collectively burst through the med bay room. The sterile white room pouring into view with the ambiance of fluorescent lights ridden throughout the facility. The smell of many a procedure going on reminded Idejjen of a great deal of things pertaining to his creator, but none of which he felt dwelling upon as of now. Meanwhile, the group had begun nearing the prepped med area for the patient and were already setting up security detail for the time of his med attention and his departure. Idejjen never left the man, making sure his T-20 was practically glues in the direction of him...

Idejjen quickly looked away for one moment though, to locate a loose guard and ordered him to report to Brina that the "patient" was now under urgent care...

"You don't worry enough," Brina muttered under her breath at Ro's statement. I'm not taking any chances.

Just then, Idejjen and the security group arrived. Brina managed a glimpse at Slicer before he was taken into the med ward, and he looked bad. A guard came out to inform her that Idejjen was watching carefully, and she thanked him and asked him to stand guard at the door.

She bit her lip. Nothing now to do but to wait and see if the medical droids and doctors could stabilize Slicer's condition. She glanced at Victoria, who had just arrived. "Excellent work, Victoria. I have no idea how you managed to capture him, but you have the thanks of the organization as well as my personal thanks. How did you capture him?"

***

((Just to keep things moving along))

A few hours and one fascinating tale from Victoria later, a doctor came out of the med bay. "Ms. Thalin?"

Brina jumped up from where she had been sitting. "Yes?"

"His condition is stabilized. Under normal conditions, I'd like to keep him in the bay overnight, but given the security restrictions, as long as we keep a medical team here, he should be alright in his cell. He's going to need one more bacta dunk tomorrow morning. Right now, he's on strong sedatives, so he won't wake until tomorrow after the bacta treatment."

Brina nodded. "Excellent, doctor. Make any arrangements you deem necessary medically."

She turned to Idejjen. "Can we have a constant security detail on guard outside the cell? Even if he is unconcious, I still wouldn't feel good leaving him unguarded."

As she spoke, the medical personelle moved Slicer from the medical center into the cell. Brina shut the door and reactivated the force field, locking Slicer in. After making sure everyone had what they needed, she turned to Victoria. "We'll find you some accomidations. I'm sure you're exhausted after all you've been through."

Victoria nodded, "Thank you, ma'am. If I could get someone to look at my arm, too, that would be great."

--------------------

Watching to going ons, Roshan was happy to see that everything proceeded without a hitch. The criminal known as Slicer had been captured after a quite masterfully executed plan by Victoria and now was a prisoner of the Link. Interrogation sessions would surely soon follow in order to determine his role in all of this and a possible location of the sith lord that had Zara in his sights. It was definitely a gamble keeping someone as skilled and dangerous as Slicer at the Casino but it seemed that all the necessary precautions had been taken.

Turning to Brina, the cathar smiled, "Well, at least that one down. Where do we go from here?"

Brina motioned to the doctor's ward nearby. "Of course, Victoria! Get youself fixed up, and then you're free to do what you wish."

She turned to Durose. "Well, we'll wait until tomorrow to see what Slicer's condition is, then we'll have to go from there. I have to talk with Zara, and see what she has in mind, but otherwise, I'll work with the same way we treated the other members of the Heist...except for maybe John Skywalker," she added, remembering how strange that whole affair had been.

"But for now," she said tiredly, "there's nothing we can do. I'm going to get some sleep. I'll see you here at 0930 hours if you want to be a part of this. Did you get quarters reassigned to you? I think your old ones are still free if you want them."

She nodded to him and the other staff in the area. "Great job everyone, and I'll see you tomorrow morning. Feel free to contact me if you need to."

With that, she turned and headed to the turbolift. Punching her floor, she placed a hand over her eyes and leaned against the wall of the lift. She was exhausted. Perhaps she had done too much today, or just her disease was flaring up again. The doctor had warned her that, while she was recovering quickly, she'd still have bad days.

Once in her room, she changed into something comfortable to sleep in and headed to the land of dreams.

It was several hours later when Zara woke. She had a nurse assist her to sit up as she was still a little bit woozy from the procedure. It was all finished now and she had several modifications done. One to filter her system, liver etc of various substances, including poisons and the like, also to boost her immune system. Another was an upgrade of her comm chip. Other things were done at the same time. These things had been done to another as well, the doctor being conservative by performing the procedures one after the other. The other patient had been released and sent home before Zara had woken up.

"The procedure went well though we will keep you here overnight Ms Zara. The operation went like clockwork. You should be feeling the new changes soon. The chip to protect your memories is completely separate from the comm chip. Their were no problems with any of the other modifications." The doctor told her, then added, "I shall personally inform your security guards that you will be here tonight. I'm sure you can test out your new comm to contact your family to let them know."

Zara nodded her head, "Thank you Doctor. I will." She watched as the doctor walked away on his rounds and turned towards the nurse. "Can you give me an update on what has been happening with Slicer?" She listened as the nurse told her that Slicer had been operated on and that he had been stabilised. Also that they were keeping him in the medical bay overnight in the special cell that Zara had organised before she had begun her own procedure. The nurse went on to tell her that he'd require another bacta dunk in the morning though was heavily sedated now.

The nurse left her for a moment then so that Zara could make her calls in private, even though she could do so silently with the comm chip anyhow. The Casino owner put a call through to her apartment, getting Kane, Kalyani and Mellanie's tutor instead of any of the children. The tutor told her that the children were watching a movie in their room, enjoying the new system that Zara'd had installed... similar interactive technology as to up on the holodeck and from what they had seen on their holiday. After leaving a message, Zara called the nurse back in and was taken in to shower and change into the nightgown she had brought with her, just in case she had to stay.

Once she was back in bed with a meal in front of her she sent through a message to Brina, telling her that she was in overnight at the medical centre though she would see her in the morning.

Awaken.

It was the first thing that the young lad would hear, and to a larger extent even be aware of during their travel. Furion's ship, The Chameleon, had made berth at the illustrious Golden Link Casino, where fortunes were amassed and lost in a day. It was a center for many of the cultural beauties of the galaxy. Theater, music, a venerable haven of entertainment for all of those who sought to escape the harsh realities of the galaxy. To many it was a home away from home, but to Julio Furion, it was the first place that he discovered one of many self truths.

Before exiting the ship, Julio stopped by the bunk the young lad had been given as residence for the journey. "Until I decide what to do with you, you will act as my slave, in every sense of the word. Do not speak in public unless spoken to first, and even then with my express permission. Alone we may speak freely. You will obey my commands without question, and if you attempt to escape your inevitable fate, whatever that may be, I will kill you without mercy."

He turned from the bunk to enter the hallway between the rooms. "Now, come. I have business I need to attend to."

Through the hall and down the ramp, Julio exited the ship, quickly greeted by one of several welcoming committees working for the casino. Stepping forth before they had time to spill their prattle of greetings and faux happiness at his arrival, Julio spoke before allowing them the chance to do so.

"I have business with Zara Nargal. Inform her of my arrival at once."

Corvus woke to the gentle throbbing of a string quintet, playing low over the cabin sound system. The ship was drifting imperceptibly in a holding pattern, though he knew not where. Gradually, everything came back to him. He had set a course without thinking, to the Golden Link Casino. Perhaps not the best place in the galaxy to disappear, but if he was to die, he would die entertained.

He checked the log as he rifled through the cabin liquor cabinet. Corvus let out a low whistle: he had slept for three days. As he opened a four decade old bottle of amasec, he reflected on how little of the past month he had spent cognizant.

Perhaps I'd do well to sober up...

---

The aged liquor burned pleasantly as he made his reservations and slid into dock. Those details handled, he bathed and dressed in fresh Naboo finery before exiting his ship in search of breakfast and debauchery.

Planning could come later.

The two ships were allowed to dock, only because they had both been at the Casino previously at the same time - and they had both been through the Security as well. It helped that one of them was the half brother to Kalyani and Kane. Both men were given the currently security precautions - being informed that the Casino was in lockdown and that they were not allowed in certain locations due to a possible threat. If they disagreed with the terms of the security arrangement, they would be allowed to leave with a refund of their docking fees.

The young woman wasn't sure where her twin, Kane, had gotten to but she was hanging around her mothers office when a message came in saying that someone had business with Zara. The secretary was about to sent a message back stating that Zara wouldn't be available until the following day when Kalyani spoke up. "Let me see the camera footage of who he is." The secretary pulled up the correct footage and Kali stood unmoving, looking at the man. He's the guy that looks like Dad... Mum met with him before... wonder if Rose is with him... "I'll go and meet him myself. I'll report to Mum later when I go see her."

A bit of a rebel, Kalyani had dressed in black leather today - since her mother was in the medical centre and couldn't tell her to go change... Her top was stylish though form fitting as well. She looked like her father's daughter, tall and slender with an edge to her. Her jet black hair was worn in a stylish cut, short enough so that it wasn't in the way when she was training - she preferred to wear her projectile pistol in a holster on her back - her bangs were long though she could push them back from her face if she wished. Her mother had insisted that the twins had training in all forms of weaponry... the only exception was that of a lightsaber. If they wanted to learn that, they had to go and find a master to teach them. They did have experience with blades though. Kali preferred a light prototype vibroblade. She'd trained earlier that day, her personal weapons locked away until either the next training session, or until she left the Casino.. with or without her twin brother.

She glanced at the secretary, waiting for an answer. Finally the secretary nodded her head. Kalyani flashed a wide smile that lit up her icy grey eyes. She almost danced out of the office in her enthusiasm. The young woman darted into the nearest elevator, hitting the level for the hanger in which he had docked at. In the short trip upwards, the girl composed herself, she would play the part of her Mother's Daughter well, prove she was able to 'meet and greet'. As she stepped out of the elevator Kali found herself with two guards - the secretary had already sent word that Zara's daughter was going to meet him in her mothers place and had arranged security for her.

Holding her head high, Kalyani stepped confidently into the hanger bay where Julio stood. Her eyes raked over him, wondering just how they were related... her mother hadn't mentioned how... only that they were related on her fathers side of the family. The twins hadn't pressed her though they couldn't find the information out for themselves no matter how they had tried.

"Julio Furion", the girl raised her eyebrow as she looked over him, the hint of a smile upon her face, "My Mother is regrettably detained." She paused, wondering if he knew who she was before adding, "I'm Kalyani." Almost in a side note, the girl glanced towards his ship then back to him saying. "Did Rose come with you?"

A soft smile found its way to his lips as he watched his sister walk in, completely oblivious to the two guards flanking her. Background noise, really, nothing more. He took a few steps toward her, but not enough to be face to face with her. He would have to prove he was no threat first before anything else. Reinforcing his bright smile, he spoke to Kalyani like they had never been apart, siblings their entire life.

"I'm afraid not, little sister. Your niece is out playing explorer in the galaxy while I'm busy with work, but I will be picking her up soon. Before her seventh birthday, next month, I'm taking a trip to go get her. Maybe your mother will let you go."

He trailed off, once again to let his golden eyes flash across her. They shared his dark hair, but she had her mother's eyes.

"Where is your brother? I need you two to come with me for a short while."

He turned back to his ship, confident he had given enough clues in his speech to answer all her questions without rudely tromping around through her mind. No need to show his powers to the girl yet. With the witch of a mother, she doubtlessly knew such power existed already, but one could not be so sure how much mommy liked to admit to her children. Either way, it was not like he was hiding who he was. It would not take an Arkanian bio engineer to see how he carried himself, or the lightsaber on his belt to the last second, despite the prospect of an upcoming security checkpoint beyond the hanger doors. Pausing his gait just before the loading ramp, he turned his head little enough so that his eyes gazed evenly over his shoulder without fully turning around. They eyes cast something with them, a substance uncertain or unseen, yet could be wholly felt, like the answer to a riddle just beyond your grasp.

"We're going to go see father."

He offered her exactly what she had been missing thus far in her life. A chance to get some answers from the one man in the galaxy that had them. Ronin Wartide.

Brina woke still tired. She sighed. It was going to be hard to get up. She didn't know why she suddenly lacked so much energy. Hopefully I'll feel better after a shower.

She got ready in about an hour, seeing the message from Zara as she did so. As she was heading out the door, she recieved a notification blip that new persons had arrived at the Casino, despite it's being in lockdown still. She raised an eyebrow at the rest of the message. Kalyani decided to see what they wanted, eh? Good girl. You've certainly picked up the way things run around here. She considered going to the hanger to meet these newcomers herself, then shrugged. Kalyani could handle it, and she knew that any decisions would have to be cleared with either Zara or herself.

Before heading down to the detention area, she went to the medical bay to see how Zara was doing. Having been informed about which suite her partner was recovering in, she knocked on the door and stuck her head in.

Zara looked up from her bed to see her friend in the doorway. "Hey Brina. Shouldn't be in here too much longer. Kane and Mellanie were in here earlier. Not sure where Kalyani got to though." She flicked her legs over the edge of the bed, feeling much better than she had the previous evening. "So, what's been happening with Slicer?"

***

The prisoner was being monitored carefully, the medical staff keeping him sedated until after the last bacta treatment, and even then would be keeping a close eye on him in case he decided to cause trouble for the Link while in their 'care'. He was transferred back to the medical ward for his last bacta treatment, placed in the tank. All of his equipment had been carefully removed by the specialist droids and placed in another location where the security team could deal with it as need be.

***

Kalyani watched him approach. She was a little cautious, as she was for someone she hadn't met before. His words took a little bit to sink in and as they did her grey eyes widened ever so slightly, her jaw just beginning to drop open before she composed herself again. Little sister?!? Is that what mum tried to tell us before all the interruptions? That he's our brother?? "Your my brother? Rose is my niece?" She'll be seven? wow... not that younger than Mell... Kalyani knew that Zara had meant to tell them who he was. She didn't begrudge Zara not telling them as they had an open relationship with their mother, there wasn't much she didn't share. The three of them had sat down for a discussion regarding Julio, though they had been interrupted... then later, even after she and Kane had looked for the information themselves, it seemed that every time they sat down to talk about it something stopped it.

Kalyani let her gaze shift over Julio... his words held the ring of truth, making her inclined to believe about him being her brother, even though they were not in the Force zone. His golden eyes were so like her twins eyes and his hair was the same colour as her own... as their fathers... She took in his saber, picking him to be an obvious Force user... and couldn't see him as a Jedi... not with Ronin as their father... "I haven't seen Kane this morning. I think he and Mellanie were going to see Mum. She had something done in the Med Centre yesterday." She didn't say just what her mother'd had done, though all three of the kids knew. Once they were older, they had the option of getting the same kinds of things done if they wanted to. "You want us to go with you?" While she was curious, she wasn't too sure... even if he was her older brother. It would be a good chance to get to know him... "Where to?"

"We're going to go see father."

"We're going to see father?" She couldn't help repeating his words, though when she said them, it sounded more as a question than a statement, even with her tone hardened against the hurt she usually felt when someone mentioned her absent father. Her eyes turned a more stormy grey, very like her mothers when her mother was upset enough to cause a force like storm. If they'd been in the force zone perhaps she could have shown signs of that same trait... Part of her wanted to face her father... to tell him just what she thought about him deserting them... to not even have anything to do with her and Kane... part of her didn't want anything to do with him.

It was only a few moments, though it seemed longer before she straightened her spine, her eyes meeting his. "I'd have to speak with Mother about it... and Kane." Her eyes held another question she wasn't sure if she should ask or not... 'Had Ronin been in Julio's life or had he deserted him also?'

He had hoped that they would come along willingly and swiftly, but like a good little girl his sister had felt it necessary to speak with their mother first, to see if its safe. Smart, but lacking the enthusiasm to see her long lost father that he had expected. He turned from the loading ramp and started toward Kalyani. His stride was soft, his hands clasped idly before him.

"Little sister, I appreciate the respect you have for your mother, and do not doubt that her approval would be needed for you to do just about anything outside her watchful eye, however time is not a luxury we have at the moment."

He stared deep into her storming grey eyes with his own shining gold, cursing this station for its hindrance to the Force. It was an understandable security feature, it was just sorely inconvenient.

"I have had a vision, and I think Father is in danger. His fate is still clouded to me, the future is difficult to see, but I know that it is imperative that we speak with him soon, or we may never again get the chance. You'll never get your answers, Kalyani."

His gaze shifted uneasily to the two men behind her, then back to her.

"I know you cannot do what I ask. Leaving without your mother's permission would go against how you were raised, and I can respect that. You've had a good upbringing." A subtle tone of malice wove in neatly with the casualness in his voice when he spoke of upbringing. The twins had a decent childhood, even without their father. Julio had been denied both, something which he could not help but feel somewhat hurt by.

"So, here is what I'm going to do. I will kidnap you and your brother from this station." He stopped only when the two guards behind Kalyani shifted uneasily, lifting their guns just a quarter higher in anticipation. They couldn't fire just yet, as he had not actually delivered his promise, but after that statement, they suddenly found their trigger fingers to be much more tense.

"Careful gentlemen." He said without looking away from his sister. "This may be one of the Force free zones on the casino, but I do not need the Force to drop you two before you finish raising those weapons.

"Now, little sister, listen. You will call your brother down here, and we will all leave for Coruscant. If you do not, I will kill the men behind you, restrain you by any means necessary, and cut a bloody path through this casino looking for him, and whoever he may happen to be with." The last threat was clear, both of them knowing who Kane would likely be hanging out with this very second, Mellanie, the twin's other sibling from another Father, no blood connection to Julio at all.

"You have my word that you and your brother will not be harmed. Even more so, you two will be under my direct protection while you travel from me, even if I have to protect you from Father himself. This may be the only time you will ever be allowed to see him. What's it going to be?"

"Who said anything about getting her approval?" Kalyani's voice was stern as she answered him, "Kane and I were going to leave soon anyhow. I was just going to tell her we were going now - and where, so she wouldn't worry. You probably wouldn't know about the threat we've all been under." She paused to see if there was any recognition in his face before continuing. "That Sith Master Ar-Pharazon has been threatening us... threatening Mother. He's done some things to her that..." Kali's voice trailed off, not wanting to continue that line. She met his eyes again, "She needs to know that Kane and I will be safe for her own benefit. I don't want her to worry about us as well as what's been going on with that... cretin." The twins had found out what had happened to their mother, had found out about the messages... it may have been hidden from the rest of the Casino but they'd found it out through the Force bonds they had with their mother... it couldn't be kept from them though their mother had tried to protect them from what had happened to her. It had been hard seeing her memories... hard not to want to see justice brought for what he had done to Zara.

The girl's eyes narrowed as Julio mentioned the vision he'd had regarding their father. "Of course he's in danger" her grey eyes flashed in anger, her words indicating that the danger would be from his offspring if nothing else... "He deserted us... I doubt he'd bother to give any explanation as to why." She knew her parent's history... their mother had been nothing but honest with the twins. Zara had never kept anything secret from them when it came to their father. Zara still loved the man... he'd been her first love after all. Kalyani couldn't decide if she was stupid to do so or not. She knew what had happened, how her mother had ended up with Sabian, then what had happened when Ronin had decided to return only to desert them again. Even though he was angry with their Mother... it didn't mean he had to desert her and Kane... he'd left them... he hadn't wanted them and that hurt.

Kalyani brought her thoughts back to what Julio was saying, her eyes still narrowed. Her posture was stiff as she stared at him, "You will do NOTHING of the sort!" Yep... he's definitely a sith... She held her hand up to still the guards at the same time that he told them to 'be careful' - and her brother who she stared up at, "No. You listen to me brother. You will NOT kill anyone here, nor will you restrain me, nor will you cut a bloody path through this Casino. You will also NOT harm my little sister. Do I make myself CLEAR?" Her eyes flashed at him.

"You have my word that you and your brother will not be harmed. Even more so, you two will be under my direct protection while you travel from me, even if I have to protect you from Father himself. This may be the only time you will ever be allowed to see him. What's it going to be?"

Kali visibly calmed herself though her eyes were still a dark stormy grey rather than the pale icy colour they usually were, "If you can guarantee our safety - from Ar-Pharazon - I see no reason why Zara won't allow us go." She stared back at his golden orbs a long while before she drew out her comm link. Hearing the guards state their objections she turned and stilled their words with a motion of her hand, "I'm my mother's daughter. I am well able to take care of myself." Her voice took on an imitation of her mother's tone. When she was sure the guards would do as she said she turned back, bringing up her comm link again.

First she sent a message to Kane, telling him that their older brother, Julio, was here and wanted them to go with him to see Father on Coruscant. He was curious at that though saved his questions as she went on. Kali asked if he could pick up her bag for her when he grabbed his own. He'd know to grab their own weapons too. From his voice, he was already on the move as they signed off. She knew he'd call their Mother as well before they left. That was the easy message. Next she sent a comm to her mother. First of all she asked how she was, then told her that Julio was here - that she knew he was her brother. Zara murmured that she had been going to tell the twins who he was, as Kalyani already knew. When Kali mentioned that Julio wanted she and Kane to go with him to Coruscant to see Father, her mother paused for a long moment. Her Mother was in the Force zone so was probably searching it for answers. After a slight hesitation she said that she gave the twins her blessing, telling her daughter to be careful. "Say hello to Julio and your Father for me. Never forget I love both you and Kane dearly, Kali. Have a safe trip." Her last words seemed a little bit strange to her though she pushed it to the back of her mind for now as something to think about later. "I love you too Mum. You be careful too okay? Say goodbye to Aunty Brina for me."

With the conversation over, she looked back up at her older brother. "Kane won't be long. I can hardly go to Coruscant without something else to wear. He's just grabbing our bags." It wasn't too much later that an out of breath Kane arrived at the Hanger Bay. He tossed Kali her bag which she caught easily. The twins automatically placed an arm around each other and as one turned back to Julio. "I guess we're ready big brother."

Julio let a grin find its way to his features as he watched his little sister explode into a powerful display of emotion. He was a little disappointed that he could not feel the outburst through the Force, but was proud to see the same passion in the little one he once saw in her mother some time back in his acquisition of Roon. Shortly after Kalyani's squabbling, a short series of comms ensured that Kane was on his way and their mother knew where they were going. When they were both ready, Julio escorted the twins aboard The Cameleon and showed them to their rooms.

"You'll be sharing a room for the journey. I apologize for the cramped conditions, I'm afraid I travel light. Had I thought I'd be bringing you two under conscious conditions, I would have brought a bigger ship."

He turned from the room, only to double back once remembering one more thing he had to tell them before heading out.

"Also, stay out of the hold during the journey."

Leaving them to get settled, Julio moved to the hull, where the young lad had been Forced to take residence with the change of plans. Ideally, the unconscious bodies of the twins were going to be left in the hull, and the boy would have gotten the only cot on the ship, but all had not gone as planned. He was still unsure whether or not he was pleased with that. The brief exchange with the Jedi had left him hungry for confrontation, and under paid casino guards in groups of ten and twenty sounded like a splendid time. On the other hand, he had managed to keep somewhat good relations with Zara this way, and with the twins coming willingly, he would have to spend far less time making sure they didn't try to run away.

"You're confined to the hull for the journey. I don't want my siblings to see you, not just yet. When we arrive at Coruscant, I will have a task for you. Until then, rest up. You will need it."

-----------------------------------------------

As The Chameleon left the Golden Link Casino, so did the hindering veil of Forcelessness around Furion. Once liberated, he immediately noticed the presence of a former associate of his, now docking at the casino as they were leaving. Julio sent a comm back to the casino to make a small request.

"Yes, Help Desk? You've just had a man dock that used to be a friend of mine. Can you give him a message for me? Yes, his name is Corvus Korden. Tell him Mr. Furion is interested in his services again, and he can find me on Coruscant. He'll know where to find me, yes. Thank you."

And then, they were gone.

Idejjen's heavy footfalls preceded those of Slicer's as the security procession made it through the gray metal walls toward the detention cells. The patient had been lead to the cell quite roughly after his last bacta treatment, the construct's T-20 rifle practically embedded between the man's shoulder blades, and then, once they had finally reached the familiar metal sheen of the Detention cells, Slicer was thrown soundly into his cell. His armor was removed during the previous medical procedure to insure that he didn't stay within death's reach while they tried to give him a Bacta dunk, and so he didn't pose that large of a threat to them if he should wake. The entire process managed to recover his health, but without his armor the man hadn't the slightest nuance of appearance aside from other beings Idejjen had learned about. The construct looked him over and grunted softly to himself. Idejjen's thoughts flooding with anger toward this man for the things he had said about Zara; his actions as well as the one so called ”œLord ara”¦ Something”

---COMM TO ZARA NARGUL---

Salutations! This is Smash Daisaku, CEO of the renowned Black Sun Corporation. You might be wondering why I, of all people, am contacting you. I should state first and foremost, that I'm aware of past conflicts between our respective organizations, but I request that you look beyond those past struggles. During my tenure with the Black Sun, both now, and in the past, I have never engaged in hostile activities with you, nor would I potentially send myself into the lion's den. You see, I'm looking to take a vacation with my wife, at your resort, and it was my hope that you could throw together some sort of package for us.

I firmly intend to comply with whatever regulations and rules you enforce, and it would be my wife and myself, and no others. I can pay in advance too. Please let me know if you can put something together.

It was not an experience he was familiar with. Cool calculating eyes, remained half closed, for all intents and purposes, those staring him would have to assume that they were shut. Yet he sat in moving, in a pose that was both natural and yet unnatural. His flexibility being tested in a strange fashion. There were many particular reasons on why he would in general switch positions and assume some new form, but they would be his own, and left to the minds of his guards to wonder about.

Little did they know that he had memorized the faces of all of those who stared at him. His blood burned with icy at the thought of them feeling they held some sort of power over him.

Though he found amusement too. Especially in the most pissed off looking one in the bunch. He seemed to be full of some sort of self-righteous anger. No doubt laying blame upon Slicer's head, where he had no facts, or proof to do such a thing. A typical think of weak minded- buffoons. Jumping to conclusions now matter how right or wrong they maybe. Making correlations where they though there could be, not even on a hunch, but biased on their own personal feelings and prejudice.

No matter how one looked at it, the only thing he was currently being tied to, was the breaking and entering of the Link on Courscant. Yet he could tell he was being blamed for so much more, just by reading into the body posture of the lone guard.

Let him think what he will. Perhaps, one day intelligence shall foster itself with his skull, but for not, let the deluded remain as such.

He knew why he was waiting, no doubt they would like to know who or what he was working for. Why had he broken into the Link, and if he had done anything, while he was there. A shame that by now, certain things had long since taken hold.

Yet on one level none of that mattered as he was experiencing something he rarely if ever truly experienced. He was a man, who was constantly encased with in his second skin. It moved with him, it was apart of him, and he knew his limitations by it. In it he could match a Jedi or Sith blow for blow, footstep for footstep, twist for turn. Yet, with out it he felt”¦. Not just naked but faster

The freedom and flexibility, far exceed that of what I have been accustomed to. This is an enjoyable experience upon which I had forgotten.

His position changed again, this time into nothing more than a simple back bend. He was testing more than his flexibility, yet his reasons were still his own and they would remain that way. He had decided that when it came down to it, he would do the impossible, and do this in the non-traditional sith fashion. A mercy on his part, that would no doubt go unappreciated.

No point in killing if it gains me nothing.

There was never murderous intent discernable in his features, just cool and calculating, looking for the best way of monetary gain. Though his battles had been many, most were surprised, by his evident lack of obvious scary and his contrast of a face. Dark skinned as he was, his hard features were contrasted by a baby face. It made discerning his age almost impossible, as he looked both older and younger than his years.

Eyes still seemingly closed, he pulled himself out of a backbend, and into a handstand. The increased blood flow to his head, was allowing him to not only think better but recall certain things better. Such as the complete layout of this complex. It was something he had been prepared with of course, yet he much rather have refreshed in in his mind already, then to have to wait and refresh it on the fly. The feat he had done took an amazing strength yet, it revealed nothing of his motives. If anything, they would peg him in the same fashion as he used to operate. That of nothing more than hired muscle. A brute force, that was at times seemingly unstoppable. It would be a miscalculation on their part if they choose to view him that way, but none the less inevitable.

Finally he settled into the more troubling yet traditional meditation pose. That would perhaps be the pose he would stay in until such a time, that he would be moved in some fashion. He had gained all of the information he had needed, in more ways than one. Now it was back to simply waiting and calculating.

Finding his old quarters suitable, Durose Roshan relaxed for a moment. The recent going ons had been crazy but it was nice to finally have things under control. Reviewing a few different datapads, Roshan noted a few things and added them to his personal journal before continuing with his general review of the security systems and Casino operations since the disappearance of Durose quite some time ago.

After finishing that, DR leaned back in his chair a little and staired at the ceiling. He couldn't help but wonder what Brina was up to. He figured, though, that he shouldn't bother her again so soon. Looking at the time, the cathar decided it was probably best to take a quick cat nap, lest his services be needed again sometime soon. Dimming the lights, Roshan rested again the top of his mattress and closed his eyes.

Suddenly, the cathar woke up in a panic. He could feel he was being watched. He was unsure how long he had been out or how long the intruder had been inside his room but he knew someone was. Fortunately, the dark did little to hinder the cat's keen vision and his eyes quickly picked out the intruder.

Sitting casually against his desk was Victoria. She smiled a little as she pushed off from the desk and approached him.

"It looks like your senses aren't as keen as they used to be big guy."

Sitting up, Roshan shrugged still a little groggy.

"Or maybe your stealth skills have just improved that much more. How long have you been here?"

"Long enough... Durose, I have something I'd like to discuss with you."

Rubbing his eyes and letting out a lion-like yawn, he shrugged, "Can't you discuss it with someone else? I'm sure Idejjen or Brina or Zara are likely up and about... or will be soon enough."

Victoria shook her head, "No. I need to discuss this with you and you alone."

Mr. Roshan raised and eyebrow.

"Oh?"

*********

Almost an hour later, Victoria exited the room and headed towards her own. When she arrived there, she hopped into her bed and laid there in silence. Raising her previously injured arm, she individually moved her fingers in a repetitive grasping motion. Everything seemed to be in working order. Still, there was something lingering in the back of her mind that she couldn't shake.

Regardless, it was time for her to get some rest. Closing her eyes, she drifted off to sleep, her mind still contemplating what was to come in the days ahead.

Brina nodded at Zara. "Well, Slicer is in custody, and his condition has stabilized. He's supposed to wake up this morning. I was thinking you'd want to be there." It was, after all, more Zara who had the lingering issue.

"Did you want to rope him into a contract like we did with Bekka and Ganelon? Or is this about more than paying for the Heist all those years ago? I'm not sure what you want with him," Brina said. "And of course, we need to know what he was doing at our Coruscant HQ."

((Sorry for the short post...I've been uninspired by this char recently))

The man had moved, but appeared not to make any signs of escape, instead it appeared that the man was stretching of a sort. I wonder if that man had ever taken off his armor... Idejjen's eyes remained upon the fugitive for the purpose of duty, but something told him that keeping his gun trained on the man would prove no point in the long run. Plus, the man had no real way of defending himself aside from dodging so Idejjen set his gun aside on a table at least 30 feet from the fugitive and instructed his other guards to do the same.

The armaments were still in range if he tried anything, but they weren't close enough for Slicer to grab and use against them. Since they weren't going to let Slicer out Idejjen didn't really think there was much to his escape. So, the construct stayed within reasonable distance and sat down adjacent to the cell keeping his eye trained on the prisoner. The assumption behind his rage was that this man truly would've destroyed Zara if he had the chance and to Idejjen, Zara serving as his proverbial caretaker for a time, didn't see humanity in the man for that purpose, but now that he had seen the person in question he realized the man was human.

Idejjen was currently in wookie form so Slicer probably wouldn't be able to identify his true face, but other than that he had a feeling that this man had already registered Idejjen's immediate outside appearance whether it mattered or not when the construct removed his helmet.

Idejjen had lived a fairly sheltered life for a bit and his knowledge was limited, but those around him served as a fairly effective shell providing him ready knowledge when it was needed and as such he had been able to catch up a bit within the years of his life. He had seen terrible things and witnessed strange powers beyond that of normality, but he was not above assuming even the most hideous of wrongdoers a speck of humanity due to his own predicament.

"So, you much of a talker?" said Idejjen idly to the prisoner as he sat, wondering if he would get any rise from him. The comment was not meant as a threat, more as a sort of spark to discussion.

”œIf the filthy animal thinks it can converse on a higher plane then barks and growls I will indulge its curiosity. After all I must find my current situation interesting. I am being held by a third party organization for the simple crime of trespassing on their property. The fact I was not turned over to a Galactic authority or even a police force but, instead spirited away once again to this casino, would make me believe that this place wishes no entanglements with the law. That in itself is interesting, and no doubt the reason why this is so is already copied and placed in my databank some where.”

(ooc: I know the feeling Brina. I'm not inspired to write with Zara atm either *sigh*)

Zara nodded her head when Brina told her that Slicer was in custody. "Yes I'll come with you there now. This is more to do with why he firstly sent that comm message and then broke into our Coruscant office. Though a contract like that might be on the cards." She slipped from the bed and pulled her boots on. Straightening up she walked to Brina's side and the two walked out of the medical room, leaving the centre to head down to the cell that held their prisoner. "Has anyone sent a message to the Emperor or to the Alliance with regards to having Slicer in custody? Do we have any idea what information he stole from us yet? I'd like to see Victoria's report as soon as it's completed."

---

A message is sent to Smash informing him that the Casino was currently locked down due to a crisis though they would inform him when it was reopened so he could schedule his holiday then if he was still interested.

Ida took her time, and as such this process was going to take her several days. Her back was the only thing visible through the lab doors as she continued vigilantly within her work. The food she was being sent was few and far in between, but it was enough to keep her going... How am I going to sleep? She thought to herself subtly... Well I guess I'll burn that bridge when I get to it...

The Wookie looked over to the man with scorn as he teased. Idejjen had learned to fluctuate his vocal passages freely due to their constant change, but something about this man's snide remarks irked him. It seemed lucrative to understand this foe more though, due to the fact that Idejjen had taken a great deal of him for granted. Yes, the man had seemed like a monster at first and threatened Zara's life, but no doubt there was some sort of coin in it for him and as such some other motive than heartless killing. Ultimately though Idejjen was a little too trusting for his own good. He wouldn't let the prisoner go, but talking to a prisoner wasn't necessarily traditional...

The Hunter was a monster for his profession, killing for money, but what seemed odd, was that as Idejjen tried to judge the man morally he kept arriving at the same conclusion. If this man is a monster... How am I any different? I am no more human than he is except possibly in morality and mentality, but the sparse knowledge he had of the Bounty Hunter profession didn't help his investigation any further.

Changing his voice around a little bit, straining his throat through an odd course of painful struggle. Idejjen spoke in a calm and gravely basic that sounded clear, but pained his throat a little...

"Is this better Hunter? Can you understand me now?"

There were no outward feature to betray anything Slicer as he was commonly known as may have been thinking. He did admit that on some level, he found it troubling to once again be with out his helmet. The last time he had, not been wearing it was at the request of a boss of his and he had been ready to go to blows over it. Something about needing to see the face of his employees or some other nonsense.

Still the wookiee was more or less the sole focus of his attention weather or not the wookiee knew it or not, and he was very good at keeping people misdirected. Then again if he really thought about it, there wasn't much else to focus on. He had already scoped out the extent of the room, and everything he could see, thanks to his rather strange manner of calenthetics. He had a pretty good idea of where everything not only was but, was positioned which gave him a small sense of security.

Still that aside the wookiee was still the sole focus of his attention. At best it would be for the wokiee to think he was actually whole heartily interested in talking to the wookiee. Perhaps that was indeed the purpose, though his highly trained eyes continually sized up the being speaking. For him it was of the utter most importance for him to be able to remember, the rather small details of the wookiee. He was canning for things such as shorten areas of fur that might reveal a scar even. Mainly because it was hard to find many identifying features with such beasts. They all looked the same to the untrained eye. A hair walking rug, with brute strength. Yet still this wookiee intrigued him far more than the wookiee could possibly ever know.

"I am surprised to say the least, perhaps we shall have a civil conversation after all. What is it you wish to hear about?"

Ida is still busy.

________----------_________________---------______

Idejjen grunted slightly at the cognitive syllables pouring from the hunters mouth as he sat idly within his cell. Idejjen's back slowly drifted to the wall and he let himself sink to the level of the prisoner. He made it so eye contact was simple; so the prisoner could see the cybernetics of his face. His jaw of titanium was visible and his eye that had been replaced by seemingly crude but effective mechanical parts.

His other amber eye scanned the individual in question and with but a breath Idejjen looked upon Slicer and let out a long exasperated sigh. His thoughts scattered with the condensed breath of those in the room. He could feel the stress pour from the guards around him as they stood rigid in their stance, never taking their eyes from the fugitive, but Idejjen remained as calm as Slicer did. He could see the tension rise from their trained weapons and their ill fated expressions. Idejjen could tell these men were clearly afraid of the man before them.

The construct sat there and looked at Slicer and finally resolved to grant his query speech. "I want to know... Was it really your intention to kill Miss Nargal? Or was it the will of another that drove you? Is the person behind the bars deeper than the task set before him or is he someone who just wants to watch people die?"

Idejjen's voice crackled roughly as he attempted further to keep up the basic speech. His strain however, told him that this speech attempt could not be kept up. He would eventually have to go back to his set animalistic voice of rambling noises; the incoherent ramble that was characteristic of the species that he had unmistakeably and accidentally been endowed with.

Brina shook her head. "No, we've kept a tight lid on Slicer for the moment. It's mostly a personal issue, so I didn't feel that the Empire or Alliance should be involved."

She bit her lip and thought how to best bring up her idea. Then she shrugged. Best to be blatantly blunt. "Zara, I get the feeling that Slicer is your issue. It is you that he has hurt in the past. And you'll easily be able to handle him with Idejjen by your side. Personally, I've been feeling a bit becalmed; a bit restless. So I'm going to make one of our transportation runs myself. There is a nice, cross-galactic trip from Kamino to Coruscant that I'll run. Just passengers with a little bit of cargo. It's a round-trip with only a few days layover on Courscant, so I'll be back in about a week."

She smiled at her old friend. "You know I get restless if I'm out of the cockpit too long. Besides, you can handle Slicer, and I'll make a stop in our Coruscant HQ while I'm there to pull the recordings and files on his infiltration attempt.

"Does that sound good?" Brina raised an eyebrow. "I don't want you to feel abandoned."

He raised an eyebrow, his jailer had made himself rather easily identifiable. Perhaps it was to show he did not fear the one imprisoned. Still Slicer had little doubt his jailer understood the full implications of allowing himself to be more or less inspected in such a manner.

His eyes did leave the face briefly, but only to take note of just how tense the other guards rightfully were. Satisfied, he decided to answer the question.

"Who said I was going to kill your employer? I was at an entirely different facility and transported here by your people, last time I checked. Perhaps, I was doing corporate sabotage on the behalf of competition. I don't recall having attempted to kill anyone."

He gave a smirk.

"Besides, if I did want to kill her, do you think you would know about it until after I was done?"

He simply shook his head, before continuing.

"No, I think you are under the wrong impression. Just because assassinating is with in my skill set, doesn't mean it is all I can do. Then again, you could be right on the credits."

He leaned forward.

"Anything else you want to talk about, or has speaking in basic strained your chords past the point of having civilized discussions?"

At Zara's acquiesence, Brina gave the woman a brief hug. "I'd better be on my way if I'm to get to Concord Dawn on schedule to pick up our customers. Good luck with Slicer, in whatever you decide to do. And stay safe."

Turning right at the next junction, she made her way up to her quarters. Changing into a standard travel suit, something comfortable and appropriate for a company pilot, she grabbed a small bag with her essentials in it and slung it over her shoulder. A few standard minutes later found the red-headed co-owner of the Link in the hanger, climbing up the ramp of her beloved ship.

She dropped her bag in her private cabin and did a run-through of the ship, picking up the few pieces of litter here and there and making sure it would be presentable for the passengers. The guest cabins were a little dusty, but servicable and neat.

She finally turned her feet towards the cockpit. When the ship was warm and the checklist complete, she took off the darkened space station, heading for hyperspace.

Idejjen growled at the hunter's frivolous yet snide comment made at the construct's expense. His teeth ground together with the mounting pain as the eventual strangulation of his vocal threads allowed for him to manipulate them into a cohesive and understandable form. Again though, these attempts at fluent conversation would not last and should be remedied in time, but now the privilege brought by his curse was denied him by the presence of his captive on the floor of the prison they both sat in.

”œWell it seems that your crimes, if there are any, are not really as skin deep as I thought they were, but I think I need to get a little off record talk to talk with you”

Zara embraced Brina in return, wishing her luck on her trip then watching the red-head walk out the door. Knowing what she had to do, Zara discharged from the hospital and headed off to find Idejjen. On her way she received a message from him and changed her direction towards the interrogation room. There had been no word from the twins on their journey though she figured that they were so busy with everything new and being on their own that they'd not thought to contact their mother.

It didn't take long to reach the interrogation room, Zara pausing only a moment before she entered, glaring at the man that had caused the Link no end of trouble. Tearing her gaze from him she looked over towards Idejjen, giving him a reassuring look with her eyes, her face remaining neutral. Turning back towards Slicer she spoke, "So what do you have to say for yourself? What were you after in our computer systems?" Her eyes narrowed suspiciously towards him.
