Brina smiled for the first time in the last several hours as she turned and saw Durose. She returned his embrace. "It has indeed been a long time. It's so good to see you again." A flood of memories came rushing back at the sight of him, most memorably their mission to the Hutts.

"Oh, you know," she said in response to his question, "pretty much the same. Business is good, we've expanded in several areas, and we still get constant death threats." Her voice lowered a bit. "There's a new one now, a new bounty on Zara. She's taking it pretty seriously."

Lightening up for the moment, though, she smiled again. "So what have you been up to?"

The cathar paused for a second at her question. He was thinking. After a few seconds he responded.

"It's complicated. I've been tracking something. Or maybe more of chasing it. It's a long story. But rest assured, I believe the problem has been solved for now. I would say more but who knows who is listening and I wouldn't want to tip my hand."

Changing the subject and taking Brina's hand, Roshan kissed it.

"I couldn't pull you away for a bite to eat, could I? I know you are very busy so if not that's ok. Of course, if there is anything I can do to help free things up I'd be more than happy to help," he stated as charmingly as possible.

Now holding both of her hands, he stared into her eyes with a smile as he awaited her response.

Brina pondered his response. She was certainly curious, but knew that Durose was telling her as much as he was going to. She pushed aside her curiosity for now.

"Well," she hesitated, glancing over to Zara. Her friend, however, seemed engaged with this new visitor from Count Shadowlord. Besides, she thought, there was nothing to do now except wait for a response from either the Grandmaster or the Emperor, both of whom seemed busy. She quietly walked over to Zara, and, not wanting to distract her too much, whispered in her ear. "Call me if you need or hear anything." She gave Zara's shoulders a squeeze, then nodded to Durose. "Alright."

She motioned for him to follow as they exited Zara's office. "So, where do you feel like going to eat?"

The cathar grinned widely at Brina's response.

He shrugged at her question, "Something in the Casino would be fine I imagine. I haven't been here in a while, so I'm more than happy to hear any suggestions you might have. You in the mood for anything special?"

Throwing his arm over her outside shoulder, Roshan smiled.

"So how have my security measures been holding up? No need for major overhauls in light of all of this chaos and so forth I hope. It's funny... well, may not funny... at least, not in a humorous sense. But, I swear there is always something going wrong with this place..."

Brina considered. "There is a new Ithorian place not too far from here. I hear the food is good, if you like Ithorian. Or there is a really good Corellian place on the third level."

As they walked, she responded to his questions. "No, not really. We've done a few updates here and there. Idejjen, the new security chief, has implemented a few new procedures. But nothing drastic. The system we use is essentially the same one you installed with the necessary technology upgrades."

She grinned at his last comment. "It does seem that way, I'm sure. But the periods between all this stuff happening are acutally very quiet. Business just continues as usual. Not," she added, almost as an afterthought, "that I've around for it recently."

At Durose's glance, she felt she had to explain. "I was sick for a long time. It was a very debilitating disease. I couldn't even get out of bed. It was..." she shuddered. "It was horrible. But eventually the doctors found a cure, and I've been on the mend ever since. I feel better than I've felt in a long time."

"Hmmm... I'm always open to try new things. They both sound good. I think I'll trust your judgment..." the large beast smiled.

As they continued to walk, the cathar nodded, "Well, I'm glad to hear they've managed to hold up. That was one of the things that worried me when I left... especially with all the drama and trouble this Casino usually gets into but at least that much I guess."

((hahaha... you know him to well... he did give her a glance the second she said that))

"Wow," he paused. "I'm so sorry to hear that... and that I wasn't here for you... Wow..." he trailed off for a second trying to think of what to say.

He hugged her a little tighter, "I'm glad to hear that you are better now, though. I know I can't quite make it up to you, but I'll figure out something. In the meantime," Durose grinned warmly, "dinner is on me."

Brina raised her eyebrows. "Dinner on you? Well that's a treat."

She had wanted to quickly change subject. She hated feeling pitied, and there was nothing he could have done if he had been around. In fact, she was glad he hadn't been, because it would have only made it harder on her to have to struggle with her own body and show weakness around even more people. It had been bad enough as it was.

They headed to the Corellian restaurant and grabbed a table. The place was empty, as they had begun closing the Casino to new visitors. It was normally much fuller than this, Brina thought as she browsed the menu. It was normally one of the best things they had going for them at the Casino as a whole; full but not too crowded.

Roshan allowed his eyes to wonder around a bit as they were seated in the restaurant. He smiled.

"Nice place."

Then he added a little deviously, "And I see we got it all to ourselves pretty much, too. How romantic," he finished with a quick and playful raise of his eyebrows.

Looking down at the menu, he perused the listings for a few seconds before looking up at Brina.

"So what's good here? Any suggestions?"

Brina groaned playfully and rolled her eyes at Durose's devious remark. She shook her head. "You're gonna have to do better than that."

She glanced at her menu again, then looked up as Durose asked her if she had a suggestion. "Blast, I was just about to ask you the same thing." She laughed. "I guess it doesn't matter. I'm sure it's all good."

She ordered a Corellian-style steak with specialty mushrooms and a thick creamy wine-based sauce.

The cathar grinned and laughed ever so slightly as Brina rolled her eyes and commented.

"Fair enough..."

A smile broke quickly across his face and was followed by a laugh.

"I guess great minds do think alike. I'm not sure that not knowing what to order exactly qualifies in this situation, but I guess we could stretch the rules a bit," he teased.

When the waiter came around, he simply said, "I'll take what she's having, minus the shrooms. Oh... and can we get a bottle of Corellian ale by chance as well? Thank you."

Turning back to Brina, Roshan felt a little awkward. What to talk about now. He found that often the best conversations were those where he got the other person to talking and bounced off of what they had to say. He just needed something to talk about.

Pausing, he questioned, "So fill me in. What have I missed since I saw you last, other than your illness and such?"

The red-head shrugged. "Not much. Just business as usual. The kids have grown like weeds. Have you seen them recently?"

Their meals arrived, and Brina thanked the waitress. She took a bite, and closed her eyes, savoring the taste. "This is excellent!"

She took another bite, then turned back to their conversation. "Idejjen took over as head of security after you left. He's been doing a great job, so I guess that's a thank you for hiring him."

She smiled. For once, she was feeling comfortable around Durose. She remembered a good many arguments in the past between them. She didn't know what had changed. Perhaps it was her illness, perhaps it was just the time that had passed, but either way, she was looking forward to getting a fresh start with the Cathar.

He shook his head at the mention of kids. He hadn't seen them actually. She wasn't referring to her kids, he didn't imagine. At least, she didn't have any kids as far as he knew.

The alien smiled as he watched Brina's eyes light up.

"Indeed. I haven't had food this good in quite a while."

Continuing to eat, he nodded and smiled at the comment about Idejjen.

"I'm glad to hear that he's doing well. But I can't take all the credit. I was just doing my job."

He returned her smile. This was nice. A fancy restaurant, them practically having the whole place to themselves, and he imagined it was probably nice for Brina to get away from all the hectic drama of late and just enjoy herself and forget about everything else... even if it was just for the moment. As he stared across the table at her, the waitress approached.

"Your bottle of Corellian Ale, sir."

"Oh," Roshan said breaking away and looking up, "Oh. Yes. Thank you."

The waitress nodding as the cathar carefully took it from her hands and opened it. He whispered a little excitedly, "It's still cold," as he then poured both Brina and himself a glass.

"To reunions," he grinned raising his glass.

Brina smiled and raised her own glass. "To reunions," she repeated.

The ale was excellent--dry and aged just right. As she set down her glass, she raised an eyebrow at Durose. "I seem to remember you prefer blue milk to anything else. This must be a special occasion indeed. Or have you simply developed a taste for a hearty ale?"

She continued to eat, enjoying her meal, but every now and then a stray thought would cross her mind. As far as she knew, they hadn't heard back from the Jedi or the Empire yet, but at the same time, she knew Zara would also alert her if Slicer--or whoever this mysterious threat was--had made another move.

At the same time, she kept getting occasional messages from their HQ on Coruscant. Something seemed amiss there, and Victoria certainly seemed wary. Brina was confident in their encryption, but if the hacker was good enough, he would probably be able to find out the encryption and decryption keys. He wouldn't be able to access any information that could cripple the Link, but he certainly could do some damage if he accessed those files.

((legal double post))

They ate their meal, Brina enjoying the chance just to relax and unwind a bit. The ale certainly helped in that regard, and she knew she was probably on the edge of drinking too much. When they finished, Brina thanked Durose for the meal. "I really should be getting back though...it's been a long day, and I still need to do a few things."

She rose. "If you're interested in your old job back, just let me know and we can renew your contract, but don't feel obligated if you don't want it."

With a smile and another thank-you, she headed back towards Zara's office. It was good, Brina thought, to have had that meal with Durose. They hadn't argued once, and frankly, Brina was glad. She had long ago forgiven him for the things he had said that caused her to dislike him; the galaxy was too crazy and dangerous of a place to hold grudges over silly things.

When she arrived at Zara's office, she was informed that her partner was meeting with a man from Serenno. She thanked the receptionist and checked for any messages. There was a message from Kheldar, but nothing from either the Empire or the Jedi. Well, fine... she thought, a little grumpy at being ignored by both factions.

She got the meeting room number and headed down to join Zara. Slipping into the room, she sat down next to her friend. "How's it going?" she whispered.

Zara looked up as Brina came into the room. She nodded towards her friend. "Hi Brina... good lunch?" She'd heard part of the conversation before heading to this meeting. Not that much had been sorted out yet. Tapping at the keyboard in front of her she sent the message through to the operations manager, telling them of the threat and to lock down the Casino until the current threat had passed. She looked over at Brina again, "How was Durose?" Pausing for a moment she added, "Have you set in motion any of the lockdown procedures yet?"

Looking back across at her guest, adding to Brina, "This is Artemis Lonestar, an Advisor and friend to Count Shadowlord." With her gaze shifting back between the two she completed the introductions, "This is my business partner, Brina Thalin."

Brina nodded. "Good to meet you, Mr. Lonestar."

She turned to Zara. "The Casino has been closed, and the sensitive areas locked down. Those remaining onboard have been informed of a curfew of midnight, and although we've recieved a few complaints, people have been complying."

With lockdown procedures in place, only Zara or Brina would be allowed in the sensitive areas of the Casino, and no one would be allowed near the vault until the lockdown had been ended by either Zara or Brina's combined computer password, voice command, and retinal scan. When security got tight at the Golden Link, it got impenetrable.

"As for Durose, he's fine. I'm not sure if he's going to take up his old position again or not, but I told him he could always be rehired if he wished."

Tucking back a stray strand of red hair, she glanced at her friend. "How are you doing?" She was glad Zara seemed much calmer, and she was sure that the fact that they had already gone this long without a direct assault was helping that fact. She was getting a little worried about the news from their Coruscant HQ, but just because the building was on high alert didn't, as Victoria had said, mean anything directly, so Brina wasn't quite worried about the situation yet.

((Sorry for the delay... and yes I fast forwarded. RL takes priority at times and I just couldn't think right with finals approaching ))

Seeing business progress as always, Idejjen within his Wookie form mainly lingered upon Zara's beck and call for the time. His dark brown fur ruffling at the vague thoughts of the death threats upon his manager. The day passed by as a large blur; a long lost friend returned with Brina heading off to dinner with him, Zara met with another man about the happenings so far, and Ida was off doing something "important"...

Idejjen's mind wandered as he too sat next to Zara within the fairly average sized conference room. He had seen the man in front of them and decided that Lonestar was of no immediate threat. Idejjen was breathing heavily as his mind touched upon the darkness of the situation, the corpse floating through his mind and the other articles the demon had left lingering through his mind's eye...

Brina walked in upon the scene and had informed them of the security performed and Idejjen acknowledged the information as he deposited it within his mind. His thoughts fluttered, but Brina was as much in charge of security as he and Zara were, so if she decided to do something Idejjen was not about to question her...

At the mention of Durose, Idejjen's expression perked considerably and thoughts of the Cathar filled his Celestian brain within the very brink of his consciousness. His face warmed with a smile and his expression broadened as he anticipated their remeeting... However he didn't think Durose knew that Idejjen could change... it might be interesting...

Ida's mind was occupied within Idejjen's room. The residence smelled pretty clean, what with Idejjen's care of it, and Ida could smell the fresh clean sheets from where she was hunched over his desk using tools she had brought with her on a project. ; a project that she was keeping under wraps away from Idejjen for the time...

She didn't really like keeping secrets from her creation, but it was something she had to do if she was going to get anything done alone. She did love his company, but when she tried to build or make anything it was best if people left her to her work, which was something Idejjen knew quite well...

"I think you're right... I need a break Lina, but I don't really want to live on Coruscant. I think I may try and work out more of my future on my own terms...

being a tour guide is just not right for me and I can feel it. However, if you are offering to pay I will gladly take a pass if you are willing to provide" Monica's nerves and thoughts cascaded in a jovial fanfare as the picture of Rune grazed within her visual sense once more... The gentleman of my dreams she thought as she followed her friend Lina to the Hangar...

Artemis bowed towards Brina. "The pleasure is mine, Milady." He inclined his head to the Wookie that had taken a seat beside Zara. "The Count? When last he contacted me, he was quite well and sends his regards to you and Brina. Also he has sent a gift to you in light of your current problems."

He reached into his coat and removed two vials of liquid, one a crimson color and the other blacker then a void. "Poison, one is a paralizing agent, non-lethal. The other is a extremely fast acting posion which is lethal with even the tinest of doses. The red is non-lethal, the black is death."

Nodding her head, the Dathomir Witch smiled at her friend. "Better now." She was calmer now, though the threat was still very much in her mind. At least their patrons would be as safe as they could make them. At her comment regarding Durose, Zara nodded, "Yes, he would be welcomed back."

Zara looked over at Idejjen in his wookiee form, then looked back at Brina. She had an idea regarding both Idejjen and Durose and wondered what Brina would think. "It might be in a slightly different capacity from his old position. How would you like Durose as your 'right hand man'? Idejjen already fills that position for me," Zara smiled at the large wookiee beside her, "It would be a specialised position for both of them." She raised her eyebrow in query to see what Brina thought of that idea. She was also monitoring the goings on at Link HQ, receiving the latest reports direct to her internal comm.

Her attention shifted back towards Artemis as he spoke. Zara looked at the vials and slowly nodded her head. "Thank you... and pass on our thanks to Count Shadowlord as well please."

She fell thoughtful for a few moments before she pushed back her seat and moved around the table to shake Artemis's hand. "Just ask any of our staff to show you to your room. Please make yourself comfortable. I must excuse myself, there are things that I must see to." Zara carefully took up the vials in her other hand. She would see that they were put to good use. Silently she sent a message for a staff member to come to the meeting room as a guide for Artemis.

As she turned to leave, she motioned for both Brina and Idejjen to come with her, the guide arriving just as they left the room. As the three walked along, Zara thought of what she wanted to tell them both. Drawing them back into her office she made sure no one would over hear and then she told them what she was planning. Once telling them what she was going to do, Zara looked at the time and rose from her desk. "I'll have to go to my appointment with the Doctor. I have a general check up and I want to get him to work on boosting my immune system." She looked back at Idejjen, "How do you feel regarding your new position?" She motioned for him to walk with her as she made her way towards the medical centre.

Brina nodded at Zara's plan. It seemed...good? She wasn't sure how she felt about it, but if Zara thought it was a good idea, then she wanted to support her. Zara knew that Brina had always felt the Casino to be one of the safest places in the galaxy.

She pondered Zara's suggestion about Durose. It was obvious the Cathar wouldn't have his old position back exactly--Idejjen had taken over security and done a marvelous job. But at the same time, she balked at the idea of Durose becoming her "right hand man". Not only did she totally not feel it was necessary--there was little she had to do that she couldn't get done herself--but she had to admit that she wasn't yet ready to work so closely with Durose.

The feeling relieved her in a way. She had been starting to wonder when she had changed so much. She was glad that she and Durose had gotten along well earlier today, but it had kind of startled her.

She smiled at Zara as her partner left for the medbay. She would find a good position for Durose if the Cathar wanted a position with the Link again, and she wouldn't worry about it until then.

She headed back to her own office, knowing there was some paperwork beginning to pile up for her and some final numbers to run over before they gave the go-ahead for the oft-discussed new branch on Corellia and a partnership with the resort on Yehveshi Minor.

[PRIORITY ONE MESSAGE:]

This is Victoria from Link HQ security . I have managed to successfully capture the one called "Slicer." Unfortunately, the engagement was rather messy so HQ will require a clean up crew. Nevertheless, the action I took were deemed necessary and within the realm of the authority bestowed upon me. I will have a full report ready for review upon arrival. I have decided to personally escort the prisioner. We will be arriving realitively soon. He is in bad shape and will require a medical team as soon as we arrive. I am also in need of repairs for my mechanical arm.

Thank you for your time. I will see all of you shortly. Victoria out.

-------------------------

The Cathar had enjoyed having a nice meal with Brina. Things, in fact, turned out surprisingly well. He was tempted to move further moves, but he decided not to push his luck. There would be plenty of time for that later. As it was, he had plenty of decisions to make and figure out how he fit into the Link now.

Taking some time to tour the facility and reacquaint himself with all that the link had to offer, he once again went in search of Brina. The meal was nice but now it was time to get down to business. He needed to know how he could best benefit the Link and what they could best utilize him as.

After all that has happen, where does Durose Roshan fit into this conglomerate that has become "The Link"?

Reaching the door to her officer, Roshan knocked politely.

Brina glanced up at the knock on her door. "Come in!"

She nodded to Durose as he entered. "How can I help you?"

As she spoke, her comm buzzed. Checking it, she recieved Victoria's message. Her face lit up. Finally! Good work, Victoria...Slicer could not have been an easy one to catch. She glanced up at Durose. "I have to head to the detention level. Victoria caught Slicer at our HQ on Coruscant, and she's bringing him here. Will you join me?"

She rose and began to walk down to the detention cells. Slicer would go in their highest-security cell in the Force-less area of the Casino. She would also make sure any electronics he was carrying or had implanted were deactivated, and he would be under constant surveillance. Victoria seemed to have taken the necessay precautions, but the sooner Slicer was here and in jail, the better.

She turned to Durose, who had observed all of her preparations. "Do you have any other suggestions for keeping Slicer in jail?"

The cathar opened his mouth to speak but was abruptly cut off when he noticed Brina's comm buzz and her attention shift. He was quite surprised when he learned that Slicer had been captured.

"Slicer? Captured? Really? By who again?"

She was already moving to leave. Without another word, Roshan fell in behind her and followed her to the detection cells.

He raised an eyebrow at her question, "Hmm... good question. I don't know. I could help set up the security system and so forth. Make it a little extra high security. But from what I hear, Slicer is still a master hacker. He may be able to bypass it eventually, even without the force or his fancy gadgets. Locking him in a Force-less area is an obvious, but what about sedation. We should likely keep him heavily sedated at all times. Not necessarily enough to keep him from being conscious but enough to keep him from trying something. Any status on his condition or how he was captured or anything else?"

Link to comment

Brina smiled. "Surely, you remember Victoria? She took over as head of security and a few other areas for our Coruscant headquarters after you left. As for his condition, I have heard nothing, but I believe he was captured most cleverly. Victoria's comm was vague, and I look forward to hearing the full story myself. She shall definately be commended for her quick thinking and actions."

As they arrived at Slicer's soon-to-be-cell, Brina nodded at Durose's suggestion. "That's a good idea. We should definately keep him sedated. When he arrives, we'll sedate him to keep him unconcious and let the med staff install a few of our special implants in him. Then we'll ease off the drugs a little bit. I'm sure Zara is going to want to question him closely."

She made a few commcalls across the Casino, the first to the Link's security chief. "Idejjen, I need you to be at the head of the security detail when Victoria arrives with Slicer. You're going to have to keep a close eye on him; I have no idea of his condition. Bring him directly to cell 327."

Soon they were joined by a med staff with the proper equipment and implants. When Victoria arrived at the Link, there would be a security detail of twelve men, lead by Idejjen, waiting for the ship, and they would escort Slicer directly to the cell, where the doctors would do the quick surgery before letting him wake up.

"Oh. Victoria? My Victoria? You don't say. Wow. Quite an achievement even for her. I'm glad to hear that she's been moving up in the world since I last saw her. The apprentice has now become the master, it would seem," he finished with a chuckle.

As Brina continued to speak, he nodded. Was there really anything else that Durose Roshan could do to help at the moment? He thought not. It would now be a waiting game. The sooner Victoria showed up with Slicer, the sooner their plans could be put into action.

On second thought, though, he could at least start on the security modifications and upgrades to the system. Sending a comm through the proper channels, he ordered for the necessary tools and information to be brought to cell 327.

Turning to Brina, his eyes carefully scrolled over the features of her face. He grinned to himself a little before looking away and stood at attention as they waited.

---------------------

Victoria returned to check on the patient as the ship dropped out of hyperspace. He was still in critical but the medical team had managed to stabilize him for the time being. Comming the Casino, Victoria got the necessary clearance to dock the transport.

Setting down on the landing pad, Victoria sent out a commcall to Brina Thalin.

"Miss Thalin, this is Victoria. I have Slicer. He is in critical condition. We need to move him to a medical facility where we can monitor his vitals and keep him alive, at least long enough to get any necessary information he might have. Time is of the essence. My men have done the best they can given the circumstances but they can only do so much. Please inform me on how to proceed."

Idejjen took some surprise at his mention and eventual recognition regarding his "new" position. The construct's smile widened upon his dark brown furry face, his amber eyes active within a wild fire of excitement. His form had followed her for periods before and would probably continue to do so for a time, so all in all it didn't seem like much of a change, but the redundancy of the role was irrelevant for him...

Idejjen got up from his chair and moved with regular paces behind Zara and Brina into Zara's office. His eyes scanned the familiar grey walls and watched as Zara slowly paced about telling each of them what she had planned. The entirety of the scheme was brilliant and Idejjen felt his role was important enough so it really had no bearing upon his need for involvement. He had wanted to be there for Zara in this crisis and in a way he would be...

As Zara guided Idejjen right out of her office once more to the doctor for her "check up", a few words slipped from her mouth that had broken through Idejjen's cloud of thinking...

"How do you feel regarding your new position?"

Idejjen smiled warmly, and in one sweeping gesture, embraced her with his large furry brown arms. "I thank you for all you have done for me... Guarding your life is the least I could do..." Idejjen said softly in her ear as the words wore on. "I shall do my best and I can only hope that is good enough" finished Idejjen as he loosened his grip and let go, the warm smile never leaving his big wookie face...

A small sound emitted from Idejjen's pocket for a moment as the comm from Brina poured from the small device's mic. Idejjen listened for a few moments and processed it... His smile suddenly melted into a frown as he gazed upon Zara walking away, suddenly feeling his job requirements confusing...

"Zara, it appears I must deal with Slicer soon, but I will be back, it is my sworn duty to protect you and protect you I shall, as soon as I return." said Idejjen as he snapped into a salute and smiled lightly in Zara's direction. "Brina has asked for my assistance, but I will wait for any word from you on the matter, or anything else, while we are in the med bay" said Idejjen as he adjusted into a fairly casual position...

Zara laughed as she was enveloped in huge hairy arms... this wasn't as bad as being hugged by a rancor at least. When he released her she smiled up at him, "I'm sure that will be good enough Idejjen."

As Idejjen received a comm from Brina, Zara nodded. She'd heard the priority message from Victoria, that she had captured Slicer and was bringing him in. "Yes, go. Until we find someone else specifically for Security you can look after it as required... or until you find someone to train as a replacement." She smiled at him. "I'll get to the medical centre and get this worked out with the Doc. Go take care of Slicer. From the initial report it sounded like he was in 'pretty bad shape'. I'll send a medical team down as well, though if he has to be shifted to the medical centre I'll make sure there's an isolated room that's easy for us to secure. Send a message if you have to bring him up. I'll organise a room just in case." Zara patted Idejjen's arm then turned to head into the medical centre while he went down to meet the prisoner and Victoria.

Once Zara entered the medical centre, the first thing she did was to have an isolation room organised just in case the prisoner was to be brought up and to have a medical team mobilised to go down to the hanger to meet up with Idejjen. She was then guided into the consultation room with the Doctor. She was in there for quite a while, having her examination and discussing options for different implants and for boosting her immune system. Leaving the consult room she was escorted to another room where she was asked to change into a medical gown and then asked to lie on the examination table. The nurse put a cannula into the back of her left hand, then when the doctor came in he injected a drug into it and things started to get hazy straight away, the lights soon dimming as she lost consciousness.

((...I guess I'll post...))

Brina frowned as Victoria's message came in. Where was the security detail that was supposed to meet them? Where was Idejjen? Was he busy going through one of his metamorphoses? She had thought he had figured out how to control them more. And where was Zara? Brina had thought that the woman would have wanted to be present.

Well, she couldn't sit around waiting. Hopefully, Victoria and her men would meet the security detail in the corridor, for from what Victoria had said, Slicer's condition wasn't stable.

She activated her comm. "Victoria, proceed to the detention level. I've ordered a security detail with our security chief to escort you, but it appears they've been delayed. Hopefully you'll still run across them. We have a full medical team down here--" she glanced at the head doctor, who was ordering some extra equipment to be brought down immediately--"and we'll get his situation under control."

She left the com open in case Victoria wanted to contact her further. She then glanced at Durose, unable to hide her concern. "I hope nothing has happened to Idejjen..."

Idejjen smiled warmly and then turned swiftly around on his heel til he was facing the other direction. The large wookie growled as he lumbered through the Hallway and rounded up a few men for his security detail. There were approximately 5 with him as he approached the Link security armory, panting from running a good deal around the Link. The wookie searched, scanning quickly with his eyes in and around objects and places for his armor and weapons. Each segment still managing to fit even over his dark brown matted fur...

His Rifle feeling comfortable within his wookie grip, the large T-20 cannon like rifle feeling just the right size for his massive structure. Idejjen curled his fingers around the grip as he looked upon the assembled men and smiled. "Alright men! Let's move out!" Idejjen said as the squad poured from the room and into the hallways toward the hangar to meet with Victoria.

It was rather odd to meet her halfway, but such was the outcome when they were late for their posts...

"There is a medical station primed for him and it might be good to get him there when we can." said Idejjen as calmly as he could through his rather deep helmet...

Ida was still working away fiercely as she had been for weeks. Her head growing sweaty within one of the Link labs that she had been moved to after a few days of intense work. The vicious practices by which her profession enjoyed, were far too gruesome to be enjoyed within such a compact spot. The art of her science dwindled not upon her mind as she worked furiously...

A small little green man in a white lab coat scuttle about as if trying to find something only to come upon Ida within her own thoughts and working upon something that looked mechanical...

Inibb quipped, "what is my little protege working on this time?"

"Something for Idejj- Inibb?! When did you get here?" said Ida hysterically...

"Well remember those bodies you ordered? I am here to deliver em'. Now, how have you been doing...?" said Inibb within a coy smile that defied his rather strict demeanor...

Ida laughed silently to herself as oil spilled onto her bright white coat, "Oh, I'm fine just workin'' she said smiling as she steadily turned back to her work. Her eyes barely making it back to their previous resting spots before she was summoned again...

"No hug for an old friend?" said a familiar voice behind her a her favorite Zabrak in the world came to greet her, "Tipfai!" Ida said as she lept from her chair and embraced her friend excitedly, "I missed you so much... How did you know where to find me Tipa?"

"Oh! Right, Inibb told me where you were so I thought I would pop by and say hi... Still working in corpses I see..." Tipfai said as she looked back at what Ida was working with. Her face turned a interesting shade as she thought of the prospect, but then she remembered she wasn't far off and smiled instead... Her face returning to its rather tan composure...

"Well this ones a bit different actually. I plan on making this construct differently... and so far it's turning out well, but I have been working for weeks... The people here were kind enough to provide me with a space and assistants though" Ida said as she nodded to a few of the passing folks with tools that she recognized...

"Sounds like the Ida I remember... Anyway, I really must get going to see more of this place... Stay in touch... kay?" said Tipfai as she tilted her head to the right, gazing at her best friend with a warm smile...

"Sure thing" answered Ida as she smiled back... "As for you Inibb, could you get your droids to put the bodies over there? I will do inventory later. Thank you ever so much" she said as she leaned down and kissed the little green man on the cheek...

The little green man smiled as his ears curled slightly, but with walking stick in hand, he walked off to resume his task and Ida turned around to resume hers...

Victoria exited the vessel first as she was followed by the gurney carrying Slicer and the medical assistance beside him. She couldn't help but feel a hint of irony at the thought that they were now trying to keep alive the person looking to kill Zara.

Having received her orders from Brina, Victoria quickly moved them out of the bay and into the hallway. There was no time to waste. Meeting Idejjen and his security force, Victoria felt the first sign of relief she had felt in a long time.

Turning him over to Idejjen and the rest of the group, Victoria directed, "You men please follow Mr. Idejjen and his team. They will take Slicer where he needs to go. Idejjen, unless there is anything else, I'll head off to report to Ms. Thalin. I believe you can handle things from here, yes?"

Mr. Roshan turned to Ms. Thalin and smiled, "Idejjen? Na. I'm sure he is fine. You worry too much. I'm sure he is on his way as we speak. Do you think we should go meet the group or stay here and wait for them to come to us?"
