JediRP Canon History:

The Kuat Drive Yards served as the major production facility for the Empire prior to the formation of the Galactic Alliance. This resulted in a hotly contested landscape, with several unsuccessful attempts on the part of the Republic fleet to invade and acquire the shipyard. Just prior to one such attempt, Kakuto Ryu, Bad Karma, and Dagon actually broke apart the shipyards and transported them piece by piece elsewhere. While they were never noted as being reassembled in orbit over Kuat, subsequent attempts by the Republic saw them obliterated. Eventually, Dagon ordered the reconstruction of the shipyards.

With the subsequent formation of the Galactic Alliance, CoreSec took over active management of the Kuat Drive Yards. Darth Quietus, accompanied by Darth Eris, eventually ordered for the Star Destroyer known as the Shadow's Gambit, a floating casino serving as a shell corporation to funnel funds into Sith coffers, to be built at KDY.

Despite CoreSec's surveillance, Vladimir Faust was able to use acolytes and adepts in order to commission the construction of a private fleet of his own. The end result was a showdown between Faust, then-Commissioner Fett, and Grey Master Aryian Darkfire. The protectors failed to stop Faust, and he performed his Hunter's Ritual on the planet below, utterly obliterating all traces of life within a four-mile radius on the planet's capital, Kuat City.

The Drive Yards are currently under the control of the Imperial Remnant following the Remnant's secession from the Galactic Alliance.

The industrial world of Kuat was a stronghold of the empire since the time of its rise to power. Churning out ships by the thousands, the Kuat Drive Yards supplied the Empire with its magestic yet terrifing Star Destroyers. Marvels of engineering, the Star Destroyers were not the only ship produced by Kuat but by far it was their cash cow because of the empire.

The Kuat family reveled in the business that different galactic factions brought in. The production time of the Kuat Drive Yards was unsurpassed by any other production facility in the galaxy.

With a new deal in place the imperials were able to establish an elaborate facility base on the planet surface, and once and for all officially put the Kuat Drive Yards under their strict protection.

Flanked by three Golan III defense platforms (another mainstay of Kuat production) the shipyards would be well protected and churn out mostly Imperial vessels and only private vessels for those with enough credits and sway with the empire. The cost was great to the empire, but the rewards would be many.

OOC((Kuat is imperial held, and is very well defended.))

The Hellspawn did not dock after arriving out of hyperspace. Instead it was there to specifically watch the construction of the new Star Destroyers.

Three were well on their way to completion while the frames of the other four could be made out kilometers down the shipyards. Each Star Destroyer towered over its neighboring constructions.

Beyond the normal ship yards, a massive building site was visible. Alone between the yards and the planets atmosphere could be glimpsed the beginnings of a Super Star Destroyer. This would replace the Zeus....lost in battle with the rebel swine.

-----------------

Karii stood in his now normal position aboard the bridge occupying a full window to view the construction. His chest out and back straight he was the antithesis of an Imperial Officer......Cool and collected. One hand resting on the small of his back, the other cradled a small cup of tea. The captain smirked as his underlings scurried to a fro across the bridge.

The scene on the bridge of the Hellspawn mirrored that of the ship yards, only on a smaller scale. Ships and technicians rushed from building site to building site. Small welding torches flashed now and then as the hulls were sturdily put together aboard the massive vessels constructions.

Jolly good.......

Three Imperial Star Destroyers lay completed as Karii sipped his mid-afternoon cup of tea. His black gloves were in complete contrast with the stark white tea cup and saucer he held in his hands.

Maintaining his usual vigil on the bridge, he noted as three full crews winked out of hyperspace near the ship yards. Each a fully trained Star Destroyer crew ready to man their ship.

The crews were quickly acquainted with their ships and each was unceremoniously undocked and let float free. The trails already having been run on each ship they were combat ready. The captain sent a transmission to Darth Havoc.

Sir three Star Destroyers are finished with the Super Star Destroyer well on its way along with three others. What are your commands for the finished three? The crews are assembled and ready.

A comm from a subordinate of Emperor Akturus is sent in reply.

The order was clear and simple: begin construction on replacement fleet vessels. Kuat driveyard technicians beckon to the will of the Sith Lord and construction begins on the first of the replacement Star Destroyers.

OOC: Today is February 6, Drake Karii will continue posting the progress of the construction...

The vassal of the Emperor appeared on a communications vector, having taken an untraceable and haphazard route across hyperspace to Kuati space.

The Lambda-class seemed rather bare and alone, having left it's measly accompaniment above the skies of Foy, descending into the atmosphere, an encrypted comm hit the surface, "This is Admiral Phillep of his Emperor Akturus' Imperial Navy. I come with orders and the demand of progress reports."

((The yards are above the planets surface in space orbiting the planet, as am I in my SD))

IC: Karii smiled as the transmission was received. The captain brushed aside an ensign with his arm and personally transmitted the message to the Lambda Class shuttle that had taken up orbit near the Kuat Drive Yards.

Captain Phillep sir, this is Drake Karii of the Star Destroyer Hellspawn. Another Star Destroyer is finished while the final two and the Super Star Destroyer are nearing completion. The crew is aboard the completed Imperial II and awaiting yours or the emperors commands.

Karii stepped back from the counsel and awaited the Captains orders.

OOC: Prime example of looking like an idiot for not reading all previous posts.

IC:

The Lambda-class made its way towards the Hellspawn, wishing to meet Commander Karii in person. Phillep disembarked with a few men, sparing himself the 'honor guard' approach.

Commander, the complete SSD is to go to Foy. A pair of Imperial IIs will remain in orbit in Kuati space, you will continue to assemble the completions of the fleet and I will take command of them, when they are completed.

As the Comm finished transmitting itself, Phillep was led to the bridge...

A small group of dark troopers stands at attention lining either side of the bridge enterance to welcome Captain Phillep. Drake stands viewing the construction out of the window as Phillep nears the brdige.

He had come a long way from the fighter pilot who idolized Captain Phillep the Imperial mastermind.

"Commander, I see you have done much for yourself in my leave of absence. Good to note the Empire was always in someone's capable hands."

The stiffness of Phillep's voice was beginning to mirror itself in his slightly aging features, still a meager 27 years of age, more and more grey had become noticeable about his scalp... perhaps due to the Officer's cap, or due to stress...

He nodded in respect of the Commander and clasped his hands behind his back, standing next to Karii, gazing out onto the Fleet Yards...

Drake smiled as the his former hero of sorts accompanied him on the bridge. The ships had all been finished and the empire was now at full fleet capacity.

Truely a marvel of technology the new Super Star Destroyer was modified a bit differently from older versions, giving it the destructive power of the defunct Eclipse Class Star Destroyers.

With the ships finished, hundreds of smaller shuttles could be seen nearing the vessels ready to unload crews and supplies in readiment for their first assignments.

Phillep admired the spearheads of durasteel with the pride of a father towards his children, even if most were bastardized and fathered on Correllian-ale drinking binges with less than reputable women in the Lower Levels of the densely-populated world of Coruscant.

His smirk widened, "Alert his Imperial Highness, our Lord will most likely desire to hear of our successes and our readiness. We shall make our move in time..."

With a flick of his wrist, Karii sends his index finger pointing into the air without so much as another movement from his body. The shuffling of feet can be heard as three ensigns hurry to their stations and begin to transmit the message about the finished Star Destroyers to Darth Havoc.

Karii casually looks over to Phillep as the two stand side by side. "The three of those ensigns were caught attempting to defect to the rebellion. Which ever one of them is able to transmit the message first will be able to live....albeit on the spice mines of kessel, but I forgot to mention that to him. A smirk crosses Drake's face as he turns his head back towards the viewport aboard the bridge.

Heavy panting could be heard from the ensigns as they struggled to delegate their message correctly. An elite trooper marches over to behind Karii and whispers something in his ear. The captiain nods and waves the soldier off as he returns to his post. The three ensigns stand over their councels panting with sweat running down their foreheads.

The three men are ushered to the center of the bridge as the other crew take note. The dark trooper, who moments before had spoken to Karii stands behind one of the ensigns at a safe distance. Drake stares down all three ensigns and paces back and forth methodically in front of the three men. Without warning he unclips his blaster and drops two of them with a conscise shot to the forehead. Their dead bodies slump liflessly to the floor, each hitting with a thud.

The dark trooper standing behind the last ensign begins to pull him away from the bridge.

As Karii watches the soldier being dragged away he remarks. "Enjoy your time in Kessel Mines."

With that the ensign begins to wail and pleade. Karii turns back to the revered Phillep and calmly states with a questionable tone to his voice. "Hmmm, the spice mines may have been a worse punishment for the two losers instead of shooting them.......No matter, we cannot accept traitors here."

As he finishes his sentence, the two men are brought afternoon tea by a sleek protocal droid.

"Nonsense, my Successor. Slavery is only death, however prolonged, but to be critical, prolonged death for the glory of the Empire as a servant of the might vibro-whip of his Lordship's Slave-drivers was more beneficial for the rest of the Imperium. And death is an escape from the harsh realities. A true prize, would have been to have severed a number of valuable portions, his manhood or his tongue... for example and barred their hands to watch them die. From fear and loss of blood, we all gain strength with their demise."

The Admiral shuffled his mustache as it itched and took a cup of the tea, "Defectors are always splendid entertainment."

[Comm for Admiral Phillep:]

'Admiral, this is Lord Geki. SEED and the Empire are as of this moment operating under the same mandate. Please rebuild our fleet as you see fit. Soon we will embark, together, on a new campaign for the glory of the Empire.'

The Admiral's furrowed visage turned to hear the voice of his one-time ally and thrice-as-twisted politico, the Governor, Lord Geki. His sinister smirk twisted into a malicious grin, turning into a face of ecstatic sadistic glee...

"Captain Karii, I wish to show you something... do you remember the many campaigns against the more primitive races in the galaxy? Well... I wish to have you hear something that seems fitting."

Scavenging through a series of datapads... the words etched themselves electronically and were entered into the ship-wide communications system, "I present the Genocide Song."

La de da de dai,

Genocide.

La de da de duh,

An ocean of blood.

Let's begin the killing time.

The same verse began to replay over and over again and the Admiral began to move his free hand as if orchestrating the music, his mustache twitching to the rhythm. Then, taking his last sip, he ordered for the full specifications on the SEED Arsenal... "Time to play..."

A message is sent to the shipyards from the Emperor himself.

Phillep is praised for his work on the completed Imperial fleet.

The message also contains a few technical read-outs ”“ special modifications the Emperor wished be made to the SEED ships being constructed (included in these ”œspecial modifications”

Phillep's twisted expression of glee only widens as the new plans reach his eyes, the death and destruction, the carnage that is to be wrought and the innocent blood that is to be spilled will make his return all the more worth it.

Immediately, he rushed commands to his Aides, "Begin construction of the SEED Navy, time is of the essence... and any delay will be paid for with your life."

The new Turbolaser technology, in addition, to all "special modifications" were immediately implemented in the new designs for SEED and some were applied to the Imperial Navy's retro-fitted Fleet. Upgrades were immediately set underway for the Flagship...

Showing his general disgust for anyone or anything without affiliation to empire, Drake's face curls into an overpowering smile as the SEED fleet is suddenly destroyed.

With the order for the fleet to be outfitted, Drake had retired to his quarters, but with word of the new order, he'd regained his place aboard his own bridge of the HellSpawn accompanied by Captain Phillep.

The two kackled at the demolition of the many SEED ships.

Karii's memory took him back to the imperial academy when he was taught about the destruction of the republic senate. The smile overtaking the captains face almost seemed as if it would have to be removed with a drill.

Following the orders of Emperor Akturus, the space surrounding Kuat is emptied of Imperial warships ”“ including the nearly complete Imperial super-weapon. All head for a secret rendezvous point.

Kuat is left to its own defenses ”“ which were considerable, including several Golan III defense platforms.

Completely undetected, a single squadron of E-wings pops in from hyperspace. They are escorting a Recon X modified X-wing starfighter, which immediately began to extend its delicate sensor pods and packages to begin scanning the area.

It immeditely picked up a number of things, including rough numbers concerning Golan platforms and the fact that there were no Star Destroyers present, though one that was over half done was sitting in the construction dock.

Halo Squad remains basically still, knowing that their movement would only attract attention. Programming escape coordinates already, the squad moved closer to the station, careful to remain out of range of the Golans' weapons but needing a better look.

OOC: Cineon Yahn...assuming that this mission makes it back out (and I don't see how it wouldn't), I'll need the numbers that we're picking up here. PM them to me or put them in your next post.

The Imperial Star Destroyer, Nazareth, was leaving the Kuat system when a squadron of Rebel fighters exited hyperspace outside of the system off the port side of the destroyer. Even though the destroyer was in sensor range, the rebels didn't detect the destroyer behind them. The destroyer turned so that it could approach them and activated all of it's tractor beams. Halo Squad had been remaining still as not to be detected, now they would stay still due to the tractor beams. A missle launched from the Destroyer and quickly disabled the X-wing's systems causing it to float in space. The commander of the ship alerted the Emperor to the Rebel activity in the Imperial shipyards and jammed transmissions as the Nazareth picked off Halo Squad with her turbo lasers.

OOC: You need to pay attention to dates. I placed an order for my ships on Sunday May 29th. It takes a week to build a capital ship, so I have had one Star Destroyer in my possession two days before your post.

OOC: I was under the impression that it took two weeks to build a capital ship. That's what it says in the rules. Besides, you have to post each individual beginning and completion of each construction--at least, that was what I was told.

Additionally, sorry, but a Star Destroyer only has 12 tractor beam projectors. You can't hold all thirteen ships I brought with me at once.

IC: Halo Squadron leapt into action at the first sign of the Imperial Star Destroyer ((which may or may not exist)), managing to evade about half the incoming tractor beams--at this range, they weren't the most accurate things anyway.

With the loss of "snoop", the mission had to be aborted, so the seven ships of the squadron that had survived quickly entered hyperspace using pre-programmed escape routes.
