They dug out three Mandalorians in the end. One seriously injured, one with minor damage and one deceased. Kalyani and Jaesko slumped to the ground catching their breath and trying to come to terms with seeing a comrade’s body. The war had become only too real. The medics looked the girls over patching up scrapes that needed it before one said “You girls were lucky. Thanks for your help getting them out. If it's any conciliation Drago wouldn't have suffered.” Jaesko murmured, “That could've been us. You saved us Kaly.” Kalyani just inclined her head in acknowledgement, not trusting her voice just then. She wasn't about to let on why she had reacted before the artillery round landed. After a few moments more the two girls got back on their feet and continued on, dodging from cover to cover until they reached the front line. Scurrying forward while there was a smoke screen Kaly took refuge in a deep shell hole and readied her blaster rifle. While she waited for the smoke to clear she reached out tentatively through the Force to touch her sister, relieved when Mellanie responded in kind. At least she was alright. Looking forward she found that she had a unobstructed view of the enemy. Keeping low and disguising the barrel of the rifle so she didn't present herself as a target she realised that she could direct those firing mortar rounds. “Kail, aim a little higher to the right and you should be able to hit the gun emplacement” she told one of the guys through the comms. A few moments later a mortar round fired. “A little more to the right… that's it. Dead on target.” She didn’t have time to think about anything after that as the enemy started moving forward.

Sentry duty had been quiet though Kalyani felt uneasy. After having spoken to Rhar she had shot off a message to the Count’s representative stating that it would not be possible to see him in person because of the war going on. She’d also asked if he could tell her in a comm. and that she’d get back to him when she could. Jaesko looked through the gap in the barrier, “I know they're out there but they're staying out of sight”. Glancing over at her Kaly nodded her agreement. Time seemed to crawl until suddenly Mellanie and Araac were there to take over from them. The two girls made their way to the building that they had been allotted and tried to settle down to sleep. Kalyani took off only the bare minimum of her armour to make herself comfortable since the uneasy feeling she’d had during their sentry duty had only increased as time had worn on. What little sleep she did get was filled with scenes she would rather forget. She was awoken by the booming crash of explosions and the sound of blaster fire. For a moment she didn’t know where she was but that didn’t last long as she scrambled to put on her boots, helmet and gauntlet. As the two girls dashed from cover to cover towards the barricades the world seemed to slow down for a brief moment. Following her instincts Kaly turned abruptly and tackled Jaesko to the ground just before the artillery round hit the building above them, raining down debris where they would have been had she not taken evasive action. As they looked up, disrupting the layer of dirt and rubble that covered them, both girls gasped as they realised what would have happened had they kept going. One or both of them would have been impaled by twisted metal beams. As it was, they both took more scrapes, cuts and bruises though luckily nothing life threatening. Kaly shook her head, her ears ringing from the high pitched whistle before the explosion. “You okay?” she yelled as she looked at Jaesko getting a nod in return. They got to their feet, hearing cries for help. Kalyani took off in a hurry, scrambling over the rubble in her haste to give aid if she could. She had to slow her descent on the other side, catching sight of an armoured arm sticking out. “Jaesko, help me!” she yelled as she started to dig the wounded out. The other girl joined her, the two of them working to uncover one of Jaesko’s cousins. Without realising it, she used the Force to assist lifting some of the heavy pieces though to anyone watching they would probably put it down to an adrenaline rush given the situation.

Kalyani worked for a time in the workshop, patching her armour where it needed it and working on disguises for herself and Mellanie. Time seemed to fly by as she worked on gathering what she’d need to use and made a start on the attachments for the gauntlets, at least until her comm. signaled an incoming message. She slipped her helmet back on and activated the message. Jaesko’s voice seemed breathless as she asked, “Where are you? We need you back here now…” Kaly glanced around looking to see where Mirdala was but couldn’t see her to tell her she was heading back. As she left the workshop she saw another that had been in there with them and asked if he could let Mirdala know she had gone back to the Vevut’s camp. As soon as he nodded she headed off, Jaesko telling her exactly where they were. She hadn’t gotten much further when her comm. sounded again. This time it was a holo message. When she saw the mirrored visor of the black armored figure she was a bit taken aback and concerned… until he spoke and she recognized his accent and the Crest of Serenno. --Greetings Miss Wartide. Count Shadowlord sends his regards to you and your family. He has been unable to contact your mother and sent me to track you down to deliver some news in person regarding Dathomir. Where would be the best location to meet in private?-- She paused and took a deep breath before answering. “I’m afraid a meeting in person will not be possible right now. I’m with my sister planetside helping to defend her new home and family from an attack. I fear that if you attempted to land you might be shot down by mistake…” she paused a moment waiting to see if the armored figure would say anything else and giving herself time to think about what the security protocols might be… and decided that she would speak with Araac and his Uncle about it. She was being careful not to give away her exact location or pertinent details in case the comm. got intercepted by the enemy. She also thought about heading back to find Mirdala to ask her though by this time she was closer to where the Vevut’s were than the workshop. “If you can’t tell me over the holo, let me seek advice and I’ll let you know if a meeting would be possible though with a war going on I don’t think it would be.” Kaly signed off and started heading to where Jaesko said they were now situated. She wondered why the Count had been unable to contact her mother or Aunt Brina for that matter though it was possible they were away from the office on one of the runs they still did. None of them had been back to Dathomir for years… not since Mitral started influencing the Raging River Clan Elders. She was a little over half way there when Vy’ika caught up with her to give her the gauntlets for herself and Mellanie. “Thank you. Please thank Mirdala for making these for us.” She watched him walk off before she headed in the other direction. Kaly wondered what she could get to thank Mirdala for helping them disguise their Force powers. She’d ask Mel and Araac what they thought about it. As she got closer to their new location she came across Jaesko who was waiting for her. “We’ve actually got accommodation sorted in some of the buildings tonight. We are taking shifts on keeping watch and you’re on for the next couple of hours for sentry duty with me. We’ve got about half an hour before we start. Araac and Mel will take over from us.” Kaly nodded her head that she didn’t have a problem with that and then told her about the comm. she had just received from the representative from Serenno. “What’s Count Shadowlord doing contacting you? He’s Serenno royalty isn’t he?” Jaesko asked curiously as they joined some of the others including her and Araac’s Uncle Rhar. Kaly grinned at the startled look on her new “sister’s” face. “He couldn’t contact Mum. I took a holocall from him before we left Naboo.” Kaly looked at Rhar as she continued, “I wanted to ask your advice too. Count Shadowlord’s representative wanted to meet in person. I told him that I didn’t think it would be possible but that I’d ask and see. Because they couldn’t contact my Mother, they have contacted me instead. The holocall I took from Count Shadowlord before we left Naboo was him asking for permission to use my Mother’s compound on Dathomir. Something must have happened for them to track me down here to deliver some news.” She let Jaesko’s Uncle see the holocall she’d just received to see what his opinion would be regarding it.

“... I've fought alongside Jetiise. Being a Force User doesn't make someone bad. It's how they choose to use the tool that determines whether or not they wind up on my hunt list." Kaly nodded her head in agreement regarding how the Force User would choose to use their powers. “It goes for non-Force Users to…” she said, thinking about her Father and his ‘winning personality’... Not! “Being with the Link we’ve met and had dealings with both Jetiise and darjetii. We’ve always tried to remain neutral so for the most part our dealings have been good.” "One doesn't have to be able to use the Force to exact damage. Lucky for you I grew up apprenticed to two of the best armor and weaponsmith's I've ever known. I also have a few ideas of improvements to your kits that can help keep you camouflaged. Unless you'd like to draw that sort of attention to yourself. Unfortunately, there are those among my people and among the Seekers that would rather kill than risk your presence here. I know what you can do, even partially trained and it's not right to force you to fight with one arm behind your back and be looking over your shoulder at your allies as well as the enemy. My offer to help stands, but I leave it to you. Either way, it's your business who you tell. Just be careful. Workshop's over there if you need me." "Go on, Kaly. Go with her and see if there's something we can use. She's right; we may need every advantage. I'm not going to be so selfish as to sacrifice others' lives just to protect you and I. I'm gonna find Araac. Let me know what Mirdala comes up with." “Will do Mel. I’ll catch up with you soon.” Kalyani had already decided she would take Mirdala up on her offer. She watched her sister walk off before she headed after Mirdala. Kaly caught up just as she was entering the workshop. “I’d like to take you up on your offer.” Moments later she received a comm from Mellanie letting her know that they were moving to defend the north side of the city.

"You are like him?" At Mirdala’s words, Kalyani drew in a sharp breath wondering how she knew they were sensitives. "There's no need to be afraid, as a Seeker, I know what to look for and how you feel. So does Vi'ika." How they felt? Realisation dawned that Mirdala had felt them through the Force. She also realised why she had been singled out by the predator... it could sense them too and since Vi'ika hadn't attacked her, figured it could also sense that she wasn't a threat. As Vi’ika nuzzled under her hand again she automatically stroked the sandhounds head. She breathed out as Mirdala reassured them. "What help do you need to blend in better?" By her words Kaly decided to take a risk and trust this small but powerful woman. Her eyes went to her sister first then back before she answered softly, “Yes… no formal training though… only what Mum’s taught us.” She paused for a moment before continuing, “I was just thinking of making an attachment to my arm armour that could ‘repel’ something like a grenade…” Her curiosity had spiked and she found herself asking, “What is a Seeker exactly?”

"Just remember, big weddings do not a marriage make. The fact that the two of you are standing with us now tells me all I need to know about the investment you've made in your futures here." She looked not just at Mellanie, but also at Kalyani. Kaly listened as Mirdala offered Mel some advice and was a little surprised at being included regarding the future. Part of her had hoped that she would be welcome to stay here too. She offered a small smile which widened as Vi’ika nosed under her hand for attention. The young woman’s hand automatically caressed the back of the soundhounds head, loving the feel as she stroked the soft fur. "The Link has a familiar ring to it, but I can't directly place it. My riduur would more than likely know. Goodness knows he's had more experience outside the sector than I did in my career with the Journeyman Protectors and CoreSec. To answer your earlier question, Mellanie," Mirdala's gaze rose once more, and her eyes betrayed both a weary sadness backed by a strong determination to keep at things as she answered. "More than I'd care to count." Respectfully, Kaly fell silent as Mel had, her thoughts going back to that moment when this battle became all too real for her. Suddenly she felt a strange sensation, automatically looking in the direction she thought it came from. Puzzled by the cause, her hand paused as she patted Vi’ika. Moments later, her attention was shifted to a black armoured figure that signaled to Mirdala. The sensation was teasing her senses so Kaly was right behind Mellanie as they headed towards the commotion. When they stopped, able to see what it was all about her breath caught in her throat as she looked at the hecklers surrounding the Jedi. Slowly she let it out, grateful that there were some standing up for him, but also relief that no-one had seen what she had done on the battlefield when she’d used the Force to push back a grenade. If they had seen it, she was sure there would have been a similar scene to this. She had cause for concern that someone would catch her out though as what she’d done had been by instinct and self preservation. As Mel turned to go back Kaly rested her hand upon her armoured shoulder, “Let’s get back to the others.” When they started walking back she added almost as an aside, “I wonder if we can get into a workshop sometime soon. I want to see if I can make a kind of ‘repeller’ to put on my arm. Something that will at least look like it would ‘push’ a grenade away mid air…” She hoped that her sister would catch onto what she meant and what she'd done. That she had instinctively used the Force when she’d been in danger. If her instincts were going to kick in automatically she wanted to have something in place to disguise the minimal Force use.

"A trade then? Knowledge for knowledge? This is my partner, Vi'ika. She's a sandhound, they tend to live on the high tundras near the northern poles of Concord Dawn. They're commonly used as police and military animals almost as often as strills, neks, and akks are. Now what's 'fiance'? I'm guessing the two of you are newer to the sector?" Kalyani let Mellanie answer first since she was the one getting married soon though she'd been very interested in hearing about the sandhound. Being a little cautious, she held her hand down palm out so that it could sniff her hand. "You're right. In much of the galaxy, fiance is a term for someone who you are going to be married to. Araac and I have made a commitment to each other, but we're not married quite yet. I know it's not quite how the Mandalorians do things. My mother is Dathomiri, and it's not quite how they do things either, but I was raised in the Core Worlds traditions, and my mother would kill me if I didn't have a big wedding. Kalyani and I came to Mandalore to be introduced to the family, and so that I could see my new home. Then we ran into a war. Probably not the best time for a tour, huh?" Kaly glanced up and smiled at her sister's attempt at lightening the mood, it helped in keeping her mind off darker thoughts. When Araac added his comment it showed just how well suited they were for each other. Indicating towards the sandhound Kalyani murmured, "She's beautiful." Then followed on from Mellanie she said, "Mum didn't grow up on Dathomir either, she and her brother grew up on Corellia. Our grandfather wanted them to have a more open minded upbringing than they'd get on Dathomir. Mum's also the co-owner of the Link though it's been scaled back over the years."

By the time that their squad had withdrawn back for what constituted a meal break Kalyani was feeling fairly numb. It was like she had gone on autopilot, going through the motions but her mind struggling to get through a fog. But for that one incident luckily she hadn’t had any more close encounters. She could not for the life of her stop thinking about it, every time she closed her eyes she saw him. She had sat down with Jaesko after getting a bowl of skraan and was more pushing it around her bowl rather than eating it. It did smell good. She only hoped she would keep it down as she took a mouthful. Kaly looked up as another approached, looking to see if Mel had made it through. Her sister and Araac hadn’t come back yet and she was getting concerned. Dac had told her not to worry but she couldn’t help it. She caught sight of the sand hound, sniffing around the Vevut’s and was surprised when it zeroed in on her since everyone had a bowl of food. In the back of her mind, Kaly knew she should be concerned about being the focus of the predator’s attention but in the forefront, she found that she missed her mother’s panther. Zara had gotten Rascal before she and Kane had been born, so she had grown up with the aged black feline. Other times when she’d been planetside she’d found that she’d had an affinity with animals. Was that why it was looking at her? Kalyani raised her head when a woman whistled to recall the hound. "If you're hungry, I can always find you something. It's rude to go begging." The woman’s words caused Kaly to give a slight smile as she berated the hound. She was short, her armor showing signs that she’d been in the thick of battle as well. "You'll have to forgive my hunt partner, she means well and has some family members that tend to spoil her a bit. I'm Mirdala Ad'Goran, do you mind if I join you for some skraan?" Kaly glanced around before shifting slightly to make room for the newcomer, figuring that she might be able to take her thoughts away from the man that she’d killed up close. She recognized Mirdala’s name as being Mandalore’s wife having heard the others talking about her… something about being a Seeker whatever that meant. Kaly also knew she stood out, being the only one in different armor. Although a little hesitant, when their eyes met she introduced herself, “I’m Kalyani Wartide.” As she spoke, she caught sight of her sister and Araac approaching and heaved a sigh of relief, “And this is my sister, Mellanie Dev and her fiancé Araac Vevut.”

The rain had eased off to a light sprinkle as Kalyani scrambled for more cover. When she glanced over at Jaesko and Dac she found herself just as muddy as her companions. There seemed to be a never ending steam of the enemy. Mel and Araac had gone with another squad over further so she couldn’t see where or how her sister was at the moment. For a moment she rested her head against the wall at her back, catching her breath before the squad she was in moved again. They rounded another corner, Kaly stopping for a moment to check her bearings when a voice behind her stammered, “S-stop! Hands Up!” Automatically she had swung around with her blaster rifle, pulling the trigger as she saw the enemy soldier. The enemy combatant was knocked sideways to the ground, Kaly’s eyes taking in the details of his neck wound and widening in horror. “Kriff’n hell!” she muttered as her back slid down the wall, her eyes glued to the body of the enemy she had just shot. He wasn’t much older than she was and she had just killed him… up close was so much different than a target in the distance. Her breaths became short as the blood from his wound mingled with the mud he now lay in. Dac and Jaesko must have realized that Kaly hadn’t followed them around to their new position because Dac came back for her. In a glance he took in the details, Kaly’s wide look of horror as she stared at the body in front of her. “C’mon Kaly. We’ve got to go.” He gave her face a slap before he managed to catch her eye just as orders came across their headset’s that a new wave were coming in. “Fall back to Alpha 7.” He grabbed her arm and half dragged her around the corner just as more mercenaries rushed around the corner, one throwing a concussion grenade towards them. Instinct had Kaly reaching for the Force as she raised a hand and pushed hard, the grenade sailing back towards the enemy as she was pulled around the corner. She had only the basics with Force training, only what her mother and tutors had taught her, though that little bit may have just saved herself and Dac. She hoped that he hadn’t seen what she’d done as she didn’t want to explain herself. The explosion shook the building, some debris showering down on them before she shook her head, ears ringing. She was pulled to her feet, automatically running after Dac as he dragged her along until they dropped into a more defensible position. She was still pale and shaking so while others fired their weapons at the enemy he handed her a flask telling her to drink. Kaly took a swig, swallowing the hard liquor before coughing and spluttering. Her eyes watered though it brought a little more colour to her face. “First enemy up close?” he asked adding when she nodded, “We all go through it Kal. Try not to dwell on it. No time for that when we’re on the front line.”

Kalyani had listened to Mand’alore through the tactical channel on her headpiece and called out ‘Oya’ along with everyone else. When the word finally came for the Vevut’s to go into action, Kalyani took her place along with them. She glanced across at her sister, Araac and Jaesko then readied her sniper rifle and as the enemy came into view she took aim and fired. Her first shot hit her target square. She followed up with two more shots in rapid succession as she’d been told that they would have to hit their targets a number of times to drop them. Just how many shots would depend on the strength of the enemies armour. As her target fell she took a new one, keeping her head down, her body behind the protective barrier. She was feeling strangely detached from it all. As soon as one fell she went onto the next, just like she had done in the simulators. As the enemy kept coming and closed the gap she changed from the sniper rifle to her blaster rifle though managed to keep it on a sling around her shoulders so if she had to change weapons quickly she’d still have access if she needed it. As they kept coming Dac ordered them to ready their blades. Those in more strategic positions were starting to use mortors and grenades. The shout went out and they all echoed it… “For Mandalore!”

Kalyani and Mellanie talked a little longer with their Mother and Aunt before Araac poked his head in to say hello as well. Before they signed off Kaly asked her Mother if she could have a set of armour sent out for both of them, normal armour being better than none though she’d have loved a set of Mandalorian armour with a jet pack attached. She hadn’t been sure about asking but knew that they would want them as safe as possible and It wouldn’t be difficult for Zara to get a hold of some for them. After they finished on the comm. and left the Crazy Mynock they started their training. Mel and Araac went off together while Kaly started to spar with Jaesko. It was times like this that Kaly keenly missed her twin. She and Kane had wrestled and sparred many a time. Jaesko was teaching Kaly a particular move when a couple of the others approached. Dac, Brej and Hari Vevut watched them for a time before Dac stepped in, instructing her in an alternate move that would suit the young women better. “That’s better Kalyani. Alright, do it again and speed the movement up,” he stepped back and signaled for the two girls to do it again. He watched for a bit longer then took over from Jaesko, giving Kaly more of a challenge and also teaching her other moves. They used a variety of weapons ranging from vibroblades, daggers, blasters and rifles. They also practiced lobbing dummy grenades to make sure of accuracy. Time seemed to speed up, a week going by. A large crate arrived via courier from the Link addressed to Kalyani and Mellanie from their mother. Upon opening they discovered the armour Zara had sent them. Since Mel had her Mandalorian armour, Kaly had the other set put into the hold of the Crazy Mynock She put hers on to get used to the feel of it, wondering if she’d ever be able to earn a set of Mandalorian armour too one day. I can but hope… She loved the thought of using a jet pack too. One day. The armour that Zara had sent her daughters was a standard set of khaki coloured armour. Kaly decided she’d break up the solid colour with a camouflage pattern, using brown and black. The more she wore the armour, the more she got used to moving in it. Over the next week or so, Kaly trained hard along side her sister and the others. She spent a couple of hours a day at the firing range with Hari and Brej, making sure she could hit the targets with good groupings. She even had a go at firing a snipers rifle. By the time word came that Ab’ki’s forces had arrived she felt as ready as a green recruit could be. She set up her tent next to Jaesko’s figuring that her sister might want to have some alone time with Araac. She sat with Jaesko, Dac and the others around the campfire, hoping that they would all come through this alright.

"Oh come on, Kaly. We can't chicken out. Mum and Aunt Brina deserve a real holocall, not just a vid-message." Kaly sighed, "Yes you're right... I guess we should get some earplugs..." her lame idea of a joke was to cover her nerves. When Aunt Brina answered the call she couldn't help but grin at their Aunt's visage... covered in grease as always. Their Aunt loved nothing better than to tinker on their space crafts and she always seemed to know how to make them run smoother and more efficiently. When she complained on how Roxi was not keeping the Black Pantha up to scratch Kaly laughed along with Mel. When their Mother's face appeared next to their Aunt's her smile widened. "Hey Mum" ... the girls chorused as one before Mel said, "So...we have some news." "You and Araac haven't gotten married without us have you?" Zara's face took on a stern look as she gazed at her youngest daughter. Having researched it, she knew the Mandalorian's had a different way of marrying and that they did so without a ceremony. She hoped though that her daughter would have a ceremony to celebrate their union. "Or... have you set a date?" Now her expression turned hopeful as her eyes wandered over both girls. Kaly laughed and gave Mel a playful shove, "I told you Mum would say that." The young woman shifted her gaze back to their Mother and Aunt. "What Mel was talking about is probably not what you want to hear..." Kaly's expression changed to concern. "What is it? Are you in danger?" Zara asked. The sisters exchanged another look before Kaly spoke again. "Kind of... don't be mad at us... okay?" she rushed the words then took a deep breath... "The Mandalorian's are preparing for an attack by a Sith that wants vengeance... When we got here, Mandalore had called in all the Clan Leaders... that included Araac's Uncle. He told us that they will be preparing for war in this sector. Araac knows someone who can help train us and you know how often I've gone into the simulators after what happened with Dad... We're going to help defend Araac's home." As her eldest daughter spoke, Zara's expression turned resigned. She knew how stubborn both girls could be... after all they were her daughters. She had tried to keep her daughters protected and safe as she possibly could but the galaxy could be a dangerous place... and they did come from a line of Dathomiri warrior women. She exchanged a look with Brina before turning back to her girls, "Please stay safe..."

It was good to wake up with the warmth of the sun shining on her face. For someone who had spent the majority of her life living on space stations this was a welcome change. Kalyani rose and dressed before heading downstairs for breakfast. She smiled as she greeted everyone and had her porridge. "We'd better call Mom and Aunt Brina. I'll let you break the news--Mom will take it better coming from you. Although she's bound to freak a bit anyway." “Yes we better, though I’m not looking forward to it.” Kaly sighed. She really didn’t want to upset Mum and Aunt Brina but that was inevitable. She was sure that they would be able to hear them all the way from Naboo without the aid of the comm system. She rose from the table and helped clean up the dishes before she turned to Mellanie, “I guess we better get this over with.” The two headed to the Crazy Mynock and made their way to the cockpit. Kaly warmed up the comm station while thinking about how she was going to break the news. She was half inclined to send it text only message but that was the easy way out. Taking a deep breath Kaly keyed in their mother’s frequency and opened the comm. to record the video message. “Hi Mum, Aunt Brina. Mel and I are good. Araac’s family are really nice and we’re getting along with everyone well. Don’t be mad at us but we’re going to stay and do our bit alongside Araac’s family in the upcoming war. A Sith has waged war on them and we’re going to help defend their home.” Kaly looked at Mel wondering if she was going to add anything to the message.

For a moment Kaly rested her head on her sister's shoulder. “No it doesn’t… nor does it seem like Count Shadowlord…” She was relieved when Jaesko didn’t react to hearing about her half brother. She was also relieved when Araac had someone in mind to get Mel and her up to speed with fighting against Force users. “I’ve only fought against simulations so I’ll take all the help I can get.” she murmured. Meeting her sister’s eye she also added, “We’ve got to get some armour from somewhere too.” Kaly wasn’t sure where they’d get some from but if war was coming, they’d need to find some pretty quick. They both would need to get used to wearing it as well as training in it... The rest of the night was spent discussing training regimes and working out their next steps to follow. As they finally retired, Kaly lay there thinking about how to incorporate some Force training in without it being obvious that she and Mel were sensitives. Araac knew they were of course, but Jaesko and the others didn’t. Kaly was hesitant to say anything about it. Araac had told them not to mention it so she wouldn’t unless she absolutely had to. She would have to talk to Mel about it though, and see what they could work out. It took ages for her to fall asleep, part of her mind wondering how they were going to break it to their Mother and Aunt...

All the way back Kaly was as quiet as everyone else was. The mood had turned very serious, very fast. She walked into the living room with everyone else, her thoughts turning in circles. Just looking at Mellanie she knew that her sister wasn’t going to go. There was no way she was going to leave Araac and there was no way that Kaly was going to leave without Mel… their Mother and Aunt would just have to accept that they were going to stay with their new branch of family for there was no doubt in her mind that Mel and Araac were going to tie the knot. That meant that Araac would be her brother-in-law. As Rhar told them all what was about to happen, Kalyani was concerned about another matter. He hadn’t stated which Sith it was that they were about to fight. She remained quiet as Jaesko sat on the bed with her, both girls having gotten their weapons and were cleaning them… "So...I take it this means you're staying? You know Mom will flip out when she finds out. Maybe you should go, Kaly..." Kaly looked up as Mel and Araac stood in the doorway. “No way. If you’re staying so am I, sis. Mum will just have to flip out. We’ll probably hear her and Aunt Brina from here. I know you two will get hitched sooner rather than later now but I hope you’ll keep in mind that Mum and Aunt Brina will want you to have a proper ceremony with them there.” She paused for a moment, her gaze searching her sister’s before shifting her gaze to Araac, “Do you know which Sith it is that we’ll be fighting?" Kaly paused again, weighing her words as what she would say next would possibly shock Jaesko, "It’s not common knowledge and I don’t know if Mel told you…” She met Mel’s eyes again then glanced at Jaesko, returning back to Araac once more, her voice lowering so they wouldn’t be overheard, “I think she might have… I have a half brother on my father’s side of the family who is a Sith Master. I’m hoping that he is not the Sith they’re talking about.”
