  1. I'm definitely open to receiving a free, shipped hard copy. Let me know.
  2. Gathering all evil to him, Ar-Pharazon projected his consciousness back in time. Instantly, the Sith Master’s all-powerful mind loomed over himself at a seemingly innocuous, prenatal moment. Only an infinite being was capable of dealing with another infinite being. Transcending all levels of authority, Ar-Pharazon struck. Ar-Pharazon, truly the most important being in all real and theoretical history, time, and space, ceased to exist. The galaxy, now populated with an almost infinite number of non-victims, exploded, ironically killing everyone and wrecking everything. (OOC: Obviously the game needs to continue. This really won't change much for you. Don't worry! However, for your reference, this is what the everyone is experiencing now. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DyingDream This is now the RP.)
  3. I know this sounds persistently off-topic, but did you use any tutorials or any guides to learn mapmaking?
  4. Who is to say? I'd need to read a ton of books for class first.
  5. Well, props. I think it looks really sharp. It is definitely a compliment to the story.
  6. I really like your map. What software did you use to put it together?
  7. Tython Astrographical Information Region: Deep Core Sector: N/A System: Tython Orbital Position: 5 Moons:Ashla, Bogan Grid Coordinates: FF-23 Physical Information Class: Terrestrial Atmosphere: Type 1 Breathable Primary Terrain: Forest, mountains, and oceans. Points of Interest: Jedi Temple, The Rift, Kalikori Village, Ashla City Societal Information Indigenous Species: Flesh Raiders Immigrated Species: Various Primary Language(s): Basic Faction Affiliation: Jedi Order Defense Rating: Hidden Status JediRP Canon History: Tython a planet covered in forest, plains, mountains, and oceans. Deep within the Core, Tython was home to the Jedi Order and one of the may claimed birth places of the Jedi along with one of the first Temples. After years had passed, Tython became a forgotten planet, only rediscovered by the once Jedi Grandmaster Kitt Fitt, who repurposed the planet as a place of refuge and respite to the Jedi Order, creating a temple within a blackout zone in the mountain terrain of Tython. Neighboring between two villages, Ashla and Kailkori, the planet is self sustaining seeing little to no trade from outsiders and completely forgotten except by those who now know of it's existence. Outside of the Jedi Order, visitors to the planet had not occurred in over five hundred years. ((Summary compiled by Wookiee Jedi. Thank you!))
  8. Mechis III: The Hermit’s Dojo Astrographical Information Region: Inner Rim Sector: -- System: Mechis System Orbital Position: 4 Moons: 0 Grid Coordinates: M-7 Physical Information Class: Terrestrial Atmosphere: Type 1 Breathable Primary Terrain: arid, smoky, volcanic Points of Interest: The Hermit’s Dojo Societal Information Indigenous Species: none Immigrated Species: humans Primary Language(s): Galactic Basic, Binary Faction Affiliation: neutral Defense Rating: Level 5 JediRP Canon History: Mechis III is home to the Hermit’s Dojo, a sanctuary for gray Force-wielders and Dark Jedi, built by the Gray Master Aryian Darkfire. The Dojo itself is built into the side of a high cliff, nearby to a large matter reclamation facility. The reclamation facility's purpose is to melt down the excess metals used in the forging processes from the various factories on that section of the planet. From high upon the cliff, the metals pour down into receptacle buildings below, which magnetically and mechanically separate the metals and repurpose them for use in the forging process. The view is amazing, if dangerous. Ray shielding protects the dojo from the heat and volatile gases produced from the reclamation facility's process, however it is mostly for comfort, as both the heat and fumes are minor hazards at best. Hung out over the cliff is a large balcony, acting as both a training area and makeshift lecture hall. The main entrance to the dojo is opposite the cliff face, a large hall as was traditional in many of the temples of Jedi and Sith past. Statues lined the hall, twenty feet high, of both famous Jedi and Sith. Adi-Wan, Barohm Zar, Master Prophet, Kakuto Ryu, Ara-Lai Kaipi and Darth Heretic were only a hand full of the names that lined the hall, in no particular order or arrangement. Past the great hall was a small lobby and meditation area, with two fountains and various lounging accommodations. Further in was a dining hall and living areas, and then several smaller meditation chambers and two sparring arenas, as well as a few rooms equipped with tools that would aid in Force training. There was a much larger sparring ring even further back, and then the balcony. On the top of the cliff were landing pads and two entrances down into the dojo. Before reaching the main facilities, though, the two entrances have large rooms just below the surface with main computer terminals for communication and research. There is an under level, found through turbolifts off of the main reception area, that contains an expansive though meagerly equipped medical bay and cloning rooms, designed mostly for healing wounds after sparring accidents, though the capabilities of what it could become were fairly limitless due to the planet's capability to construct any piece of technology, medical or otherwise. The Dojo has no defenses, internal or external. Mechis III has enough defenses of its own to enforce its neutrality, despite the hopes that they will never be used. Lastly, the building is equipped with air regulation and filtration devices, to clean the polluted air of the planet and to keep the Dojo at a comfortably cool temperature. This, of course, does not apply to the external landing pads on the 'roof'. ((Summary compiled by Amidala Skywalker. Thank you!))
  9. Onderin Starlisk vs. Aryian Darkfire (Darth Ares) All right. I read this duel. More than once. This was a tough one. Both fighters are skilled, powerful, and solid as OOC writers. Ultimately, I thought that in many ways Onderin employed more strategic actions, without so many potentially unnecessary and jocular breakings of the fourth wall. It wasn’t excessive, but it was distracting, when in comparison. Still, that wasn’t the only deciding factor. This was a very, very close duel, and one which hurt, since I had to judge two very capable, respected, and legendary characters. Onderin Starlisk is the winner.
  10. Okay. I figured as much. I just wanted to double check before we start seeing all sorts of Leia on Chewie level stuff.
  11. Is the Deviant Art site for Jnet rated Pg13 too? Travis, I know you draw a lot of nude farmer art. I wasn't sure if those were gonna make it to this.
  12. Is this forum's name final? What about "Yesterday's Pages"?
  13. Absolutely. Though I am afraid to. If you recall, my computer died a year or so ago, while I was in a coffee shop working on a chapter. My computer died a couple weeks ago, also with a new chapter open. It's almost like fate doesn't want me to write this. So, naturally, I will continue.
  14. Imprisoned in a maximum security, full-scale penal facility genuinely frustrated Ar-Pharazon, who was still under the very potent influence of incapacitating drugs. His wrists were bound. His feet were bound. His head was locked into a large helmet-like shell, hindering the basic luxury of even being able to move His evil neck. Chains were connected from His bindings to countless pillars which circled around Him. This was no way to live out the eternal life He had given Himself. Much to His dismay, The Force-negating implementations limited His ability to merely remake the structures around Him in an obnoxious and instantaneous manner befitting a god such as Himself. Still, no man or demon could ever take away His right to pray. It was the last refuge of sinners, and He was most certainly a man of transgressions. On the day of His Unholy Birth, He lucidly commanded a cadre of dedicated demons to angrily poison one thousand clerics. There was no shortage of sinful offenses. EVIL DEEDS! In that instant, Ar-Pharazon began His prayer, directed to no poet-god-king, or human vicar on behalf of a lame text-based religion, or any Force-affiliated wizardly revenant that lorded over the undead, or some sort of winged reaper of the mortal life. This was the highest prayer to the highest deity – Himself. Only He was evil and divine enough to hold court over His own prayers. “Unholy Master of all that is evil, I both humbly and greedily command, and ask, You, to imbue Me with even greater strength, so that I may wrathfully destroy and desecrate this Force-damned place, in the name of Myself.” Ar-Pharazon could feel the bindings on his wrists. Carefully, he uttered another silent and highly rubric-based prayer to Himself. In that moment, the bindings became consubstantial with Himself, taking on the matter AND form of both Ar-Pharazon and the durasteel. Since the bindings were Him, He would attempt to move Himself. It was as good a plan as any.
  15. Turbolasers are not allowed. Please fix and then we'll allow the character. I'll also delete my post here.
  16. You get twenty-six of the little critters.
  17. After discussion with some of the parties involved, it has been decided that the following actions are to be somewhat nullified: There have been a number of pre-established norms set in place over the years of this game by other Mandalorians and a specific character who holds the title of Mand'alor, regarding the culture and norms on this world. Making a counter faction is not against the rules. Gaining some traction is not against the rules. Crusades are certainly not against the rules. However, suddenly “proclaiming” that the entire planet and civilization are now under one (relatively new) character’s total control is far too over-reaching. This nullification doesn't undo all that was posted, but it drastically scales back the desired effect, regarding influence over the masses. Limited and somewhat incremental change, laced with PC vs. PC interaction, is one thing, but the process needs to be more accommodating to the pre-established norms, existing Mando characters, and (moderately) realistic procedures.
  18. Wow, this is lengthy, Obi. I'm trying to chug my way through this. How long are you seeing this? Should I just wait until it's done or do you want me to read, chapter to chapter?
  19. (OOC: I will do what I can as we continue this story to add some description. I’m on the tail end of my spring break and have to go back to a front-loaded week of classes, so my posting until Wednesday will be somewhat less-detailed. Sorry.) IC: Ar-Pharazon flew like a winged god through red skies, answering prayers, summoning wraiths, wrecking harvests, cursing his enemies, calling up storms, and creating more and more out of nothing. He soared over cities, where entire populations perished in his wake. His mere thoughts were creative brushstrokes on the canvas of existence. His war-obsessed armies never ceased their racist crusades against the innocent. Goodness was in short order. Ar-Pharazon’s rule over the unlucky planet was becoming solidified. Then, suddenly, his power of flight cut out. Screaming in panic, he fell, like lightning, to the surface. As he was about to collide with the rocky terrain, his consciousness faded out. He woke up, again imprisoned, but now somewhere entirely new. Sandy Sarna’s ridiculous demise was recent in his thoughts, but he remained entirely disoriented, still under the effects of whatever drugs CoreSec has forced into his system. Immediately, he found himself unable to move, bound like a chained deity in some mythological prison of yore. “Oh my” he exclaimed quietly. “Where the hell am I now?”
  20. While I hate to be “that mod,” there is an issue here that requires an official response There have been no IC actions to prove that such a maneuver is possible. Tobias died on Coruscant, but never beforehand indicated that such a transmission was or would have been sent. In the present time, Tobias does not have control over the Jedi shuttle, so there is no way that he’d be able have any sort of transmission sent. Simply declaring, in the present, that there was a contingent plan in place in the past, does nothing to logically secure one. Of course, if Tobias is able to concretely prove that such a contingent was in place, then the mod team will reconsider this. Until such a point in time, the quoted paragraph above is nullified, because right now, the mod team (not just myself, unilaterally) has failed to see sufficient justification for the supposed transmission.
  21. Sounds like you're really using your artistic skills for good, wholesome things.
  22. Actually about forty minutes ago, I almost burned down the building where I live. Take that.
  23. What does the word tonight mean to you, Ben? It means that I'd sit down and put some time into it, on that night. That doesn't mean that I was able to finish a section, which then would also have to be sent out for a beta process before being posted here. What does tonight mean to you?
