  1. Fejj had made it a practice in his life to awake before the sun would rise. He found a small pleasure in beating whatever burning ball of fire he was near to the new day. After a trip to the refresher he put on his new set of robes. They fit quite well. Since joining the Order he was always impressed by its ability to know and meet the needs of its members. He himself was no master of the Force, but assumed that if his minimal skills had caused his restaraunt to flourish that the experience of a trained Knight or Master would easily be able to handle garments, room asignments, transport, etc. There was still a good amount of time before he would be expected in the training rooms so he decided to find a good garden to meditate in. He always prefered the open air over a closed mediation chamber to commune with the Force. He took a spot beneath the shade of a small tree and sat legs crossed. He closed his eyes and began the simple meditation steps that were taught to early padawans. He breathed in, counting to ten. He held his breath for a ten count, and then released in another five. With each breath he tried to focus on what was happening. Fejj knew he was taking in oxygen, using it to sustain himself, and releasing something different, something he created, which in itself sustained the plants and trees around him. This was as much as he could grasp, as the greater mysteries of the Force, the fact that ONLY the Force sustained, was still foreign to him. He spent about an hour in this practice and when he was done felt refreshed and at peace, ready to take on the day and start whatever training was in store. Fejj left the garden and followed his datapad to the training room. There were already some hopefuls waiting as the time was drawing near.
  2. Fejj's shuttle entered the planet's atmosphere. He was instantly filled with a sense of calm and peace that only the Force could provide. It wasn't long before the shuttle was approaching the newly finished temple. Fejj was among the padawans who were hurried off when rumors of war reached the Gala academy. The Order had felt in necessary to protect the future Jedi and remove them from the scene before things had gotten ugly. Reports were scattered, but it seemed that indeed a conflict had developed there. Fejj wished he could have helped, but knew he most likely would have just been in the way. Perhaps some day, with the training and guidance of a Jedi Master, he would be a proper Jedi himself. Then he would be able to put his talents to full use and help protect the innocent. The ship touched down in the hangar, and Fejj, along with another group of padawans, scurried inside. They all waited in the visitor's center while the head of the group, a dignified looking Jedi Knight, used his strong connection to the Force to open the entrance to the temple. Once inside Fejj and his young companions were split into two groups, and assigned quarters in different sections of the temple. Following a map provided to him on his datapad he traversed the hallways until reaching his room. He entered and found a fresh pair of robes on the bed.
  3. Fejj listened as his master provided him with instructions. The young human sat and slowly started to focus his breathing. He concentrated on each inhale, pulling the very essence of the galaxy in. Within his body oxygen was used, the leftovers converted, and then let back out into the universe with an exhale. The same life Force that had been provided by the plants and trees was changed by his inner workings and let out to provide them the nourishment they needed to keep the circle of life constantly moving. His mind started to quiet, although not completely, as it was quite difficult to allow nothing but this new "Force" he was being introduced to to be the only thing he heard. But still he attempted. When he believed he was sufficiently focused he stretched out with his feelings and began to recite out loud the first line of the Jedi Code. "There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no emotion, there is peace..." He continued in this fashion for a period of time. He could feel something, not quite sure what it was, but did not understand the meaning of the words. He spoke disappointingly, assuming he had failed the exercise, "Master, I do not understand the meaning of these words. How can we be without emotion which is such a central part of existence? And how can that lead to peace?
  4. Fejj stood before his newly assigned master. The man growled at him an inquisition. The question was "Why are you here?" but there was much more to it than meets the eye. Surely the Jedi Master had been contacted about his assignment so he knew why there was a young Jedi-to-be standing in front of him. Simple logic would tell that much. What Fejj assumed the man meant was why was he there presenting himself for Jedi training. He bowed to his master and spoke, "I am here because I wish to learn the ways of the Jedi." Fejj was relaxed as he spoke, words were never a problem for him, but there was a definite feel of respect in his voice as he addressed Dashel. "All my life I have had special talents that have helped me to succeed. I do well with people and seem to bring out the best in them. I have a way of making others feel trusting and comfortable." Fejj thought back to his thriving restaurant on Coruscant. "But," he said as he looked down for a moment and then back up to the Jedi, "I've always used these talents solely for myself. Money has been good, I have the respect of others, but I feel empty inside. I know the universe has provided me with these gifts of character and I feel as if I should be using them to benefit society. It is well known that the Jedi are the protectors of peace and justice in the galaxy, the very things I wish to serve." Fejj briefly recalled his time on Tython. He had originally been greeted by this cat like man and taken in by the Jedi. After an initial screening it was confirmed that he indeed possessed the minute powers of the Force that any Force sensitive initiate would have. He was approved for Jedi training and sent to Gala to follow the instruction of Master Illioni. "The Jedi at Tython sent me here to find you. I don't know why," Fejj paused for a moment, "but I'm sure they do. I can only assume they saw something in me that they thought best fit your style. Irregardless, I pledge myself to your teaching and humbly ask you to show me your ways."
  5. The shuttle transporting Fejj, some supplies, and a few other Jedi, exited hyperspace above the planet. It wasn't long before they were in the atmosphere and then approaching the praxeum. The structure had a much different feel than the temple on Tython, but this was where he had been instructed to go. He was to seek out the cat-like man he had first met, whom he now knew was the Jedi Master Dashel Illioni. He was excited to be assigned to study under a true master of the Force and hoped to learn his ways. The praxeum looked more like a military base than a Jedi haven. After they touched down in the hangar Fejj followed the rest of the group through the clearance points. After a few of these the cold steel walls faded to a more comforting interior. It seemed like a base had been built around a temple. He checked in with the receptionist at the main desk and was assigned a room in the apprentice's quarters and was given a datapad. Using the datapad he found his way to his new room. On the bed he found a set of Jedi robes. He changed into them and they felt quite well. The datapad also had instructions on where to find his new master. It led him through a series of corridors and eventually to a room in a quiet off to the side section of the praxeum. He stood in front of the door. It opened to reveal Dashel sitting in meditation. Fejj entered the room and waited for the man to sense his presence.
  6. Standing in front gates Fejj was alarmed at the voice behind him, jumping slightly away from the tiger-like man he saw as he turned. He quickly calmed, sensing a peace from the man. He was not a threat or an enemy, or at least he hoped. The triana was dressed in what Fejj had come to know as traditional Jedi garb. Giving the respect he assumed was due, he bowed. "No, well, yes. Kind of." It was rare that Fejj stumbled over words, usually that was his strong point. "I am looking for the Jedi. I've spent many years searching for this place. One night I awoke from a dream with the word "Tython" on my mind and I knew it had special meaning. I believe I belong here. I mean, I feel at peace, but I don't know exactly what here is." Fejj looked again started at the building in front of him, and then back towards the forest he had exited.
  7. The Volante Cucina exited hyperspace above the planet Fejj believed to be Tython. He had know way of being sure until he landed. It was only through rumors and information gained from spacers that he had found the location, and it was the faintest whispers of the Force that gave him the extra push he needed to get there. Entering the atmosphere his ship scanned for population. It found one city and so he made his way there. For a small fee he was permitted to dock at a local spaceport. He didn't make any effort to communicate with the natives, which was very uncharacteristic of him. Instead he allowed his senses to guide him to an unknown destination. Before long he found himself on the outskirts of a sprawling forest. The further in he journeyed the closer he felt to whatever it was that was calling. After about an hour of walking, and the overwhelming sense of peace and serenity coming to near climax, he emerged on the other side of the woods. What appeared before him something almost from a dream. Or perhaps he HAD dreamed of this place, it seemed so familiar. He did not know that it was drenched in the very living Force that had been with him his whole life. The young traveler made his way to what seemed to be the main entrance of the structure. He knew this was where he belonged and hoped to find a Jedi that would enlighten his oh so many questions.
  8. A few years ago Fejj awoke in the middle of the night. The Force was calling out to him, although he did not know it. It was the exact moment that the Jedi Master known as Kitt had activated the planet's beacon through the Force. It called out to all those who dwelled in the lightside through out the galaxy. For those weak in the Force the message was short and simple, Tython. For some it was just a word that came and went. But for others, such as Fejj, it had stuck. He wrote the word down that night and since then spent years researching. With his money and intelligence, and unknown to him the guidance of the Force, he sought out what he believed were the cooridantes of the fabled Jedi Planet.
