  1. As the final preflights were done Jazce closed the hatch. The Jedi were either on board or working their own way down to CoreSec HQ. Shrugging in to his restraints he kicked the Everready in to life and smoothly left the EV. Heading back to CoreSec HQ. It wouldn't take long.
  2. Taking the lead he boarded the Everready, turning he did a quick head count. For such a short trip the old YT-1300 would have more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable. If they had been expecting a few GS days to pass then maybe it would have been prudent to take more ships. "You're all welcome to come with us on the Everready. Might be a little cramped but it gives you Jedi time to do your mental prep together and save time in HQ staring at the guy." So saying he nodded to HK, indicating the droid should start pre-flight checks. As it trundled off to do as it was told with a baleful glare cast in his direction he settled himself in the cockpit, waiting for the Jedi to decide how they were going to travel and for HK to finish pretending he was checking things... They had just flown the ship here not two hours ago. Of course it was ready to fly!
  3. Jazce's looked as Adenna's new padawan approached. His eyes blank as he assessed her. Human female. Young. The accent was familiar. Kaal? He remembered its like when he had been a Stormtrooper on rec leave. Maybe in her early twenties or late teens. Tall for a woman and quite fetching. Taking stock of her gear he assumed the Jedi would have taken that in hand. It wasn't much. Especially in these troubled times so soon after a war. Turning as Adenna spoke his eyes narrowed. Her voice had even less emotion in it now than it had before, but her words were far more disturbing. Even if he had witnessed most of it. Suppressing a wince as she proceeded to probably scare the girl clear through he surmised that perhaps they should talk sometime. He could perhaps teach her a little of dealing with people. Especially her new padawan who from what Jazce knew would learn almost everything from her. Turning back to Gracelyn he nodded to her as Adenna introduced him. Suppressing another wince at the use of his title. He was still getting used to that. "Nice to meet you." Was all he said. Not wanting to rain on Adenna's introductory parade. If he had his way and he continued working with Adenna he would have plenty of time to get to know the new padawan later. Still a little nonplussed at the brutality of Adenna's opening statement to the girl he turned back to the Jedi. "I'm ready to leave when you are."
  4. Jazce nodded. Keeping his trepidation hidden under layers of military discipline. He didn't know whether she should be the old Adenna again. That woman had been driven to the point where it had nearly got her killed. Twice by Geki. Who knows how many other times by other Sith. Then again she was in a somewhat unique position of being able to remake herself. Not that she would see it as much of an opportunity. "Alright then," he said at length. "Well whatever you need I'm here to help." Even as they walked though his datapad received a report from HQ. They would be coming in routinely now that he was a Commissioner. He had to make sure he struck a balance between CoreSec and Adenna. Flicking through it he frowned. Trouble in paradise.. The very centre of power too. Closing the tool he looked to the Jedi again. "So where is a map of this place? Your padawan could be anywhere and this place ain't small."
  5. Jazce had remained silent through most of the journey and the resultant council session. Not having a place to speak on Geki's madness, though he considered the man irredeemable the fact was he was going to follow Adenna's lead on this. Though he was concerned about some of her reactions... Or lack thereof. AS the council session ended he shook himself slightly. Whilst he could request additional support for CoreSec's SIth Taskforce he didn't feel it was necessary as the Wookiee Jedi Master appeared to be assisting them, besides if they wanted more Jedi on board they'd request the support through him. Besides which looking around he could see the Jedi needed to consolidate their own strength. Not scatter it amongst CoreSec. Though a part of him still mused at the odd turn of events that led a former Stormtrooper to be working with the Jedi. Turning to Adenna as the council went there separate ways he spoke for what felt like the first time in weeks. "Are you alright?" He didn't know what he was referencing. Her lack of emotions, the success of her mission here or perhaps the allocation of a new padawan. That was perhaps the most important factor of all, being so close on the heels of the loss of Sandy... Though apparently that could be reversed.
  6. ((That first one was a little ambiguous so I made sure to avoid possible confusion this time mate. Its all good.)) Jazce swore as the flash-bang didn't incapacitate his opponent. That was bad. He had been relying on the Jedi being too thoroughly disorientated by the bang to put up a good fight. Without his AI assistance he was far more vulnerable than he liked going in to a fight against a Jedi. But he was a Stormtrooper of the Imperial 501st Legion. One of the Elite of the Elite. He would prevail against this Jedi traitor and bring his corpse before the Emperor or die trying. The discipline his Regiment was legendary for held firm against the charge of one of the most fearsome Warriors the galaxy had ever known. Moving to the defensive his first reaction was to try and keep the Jedi at bay. Using his weapon's superior reach and mechanically enhanced speed and strength to repel the ferocious attack. But as anticipated even forceless the Jedi was still a superior swordsman. It was only a few instants before his outer layer of armour was covered in slashes and burns and sweat was rolling freely across his face at the pain of some of the deeper cuts. He needed to react. He stumbled to his side, a deeper score appearing in his chest. Suppressing a curse at the flash of pain he dodged back out of reach of the twin tonfa sabers for an instant. AI deficient he had no clear alternatives. But one very risky one. Fast as lightning he slapped his hand down on the Spy's Delight. Activating the blaster rifle for one last burst. Without the AI link or the Eveready nearby it couldn't do much else. Highly inaccurate but loud and bright and just as deadly if it got close enough. By his calculations they weren't in the lethal radius but they would be distracting at the least. An instant later he was charging. Using his vibrosword to batter one of the tonfas he released after an instant of impact. Enough to push it slightly away and give him the opening he needed, Continuing his charge forward he ignored the pain as the other cut in to him. Reaching out he pulled the Jedi close, his discipline pushing through the agony of the orange blade carving through his flesh his elbow came around, enhanced speed and strength beyond that of any normal being. The power and speed of a war droid with the accuracy of one of the best hand-to-hand fighters outside of the Echani. That deadly instrument of short ranged combat came around aiming to contact the base of the Jedi's neck. It was Victory or Death. Maybe even Victory and Death. ((3 - Good Luck old bean))
  7. As he pushed forward through the rough terrain his AI and HUD continued to process his movements and surrounds, occasionally tactical information would pop up. Not something anyone untrained in how to use his equipment would be able to process and sometimes even he had trouble but his training and discipline held and it paid off. One shot had been able to land though the AI judged that no penetration had occurred. He'd just have to get back on top of the initiative horse and keep pushing hard. If he allowed the Jedi room to breathe this situation would turn nasty fast. He needed to readjust his tactics, stumbling slightly on the rough ground he halted and took a knee. Continuing to maintain Charric fire at his opponent but cutting away the rifle fire as the distraction was now all but useless and as he closed it was possible he could get caught in the fire, he did keep his AI monitoring the rifle's feed though for any opportunity to conduct effect fire. Even as he set the neural mode a thought occurred to him. Just as a thought occurred to his opponent it seemed. A speeder rising up and being flung with lethal force at his position. The normal eye could have missed the micro-movements as the force took hold of the craft and lifted it. That was all that kept him alive. Jazce reacted instantly, diving towards the engagement's center. The speed and power of his movements great augmented by his suit. Had it not been for that he'd probably have been a smear. As it was his suit was too bulky to do a roll and he didn't want to risk damaging his Ysalamir pod he had to land on his front, hard to come up clean so instead Jazce sprawled on the ground some meters to his left. Losing valuable time in having to rise and reorientate himself to the Jedi from the ground instead of a role. Just in time to see the old man close with a weapon in each hand. His reaction was instantaneous and more than a little panicked. Those weapons would slice him like a Japanese Katana through warmed up butter except without the mess. Despite his air-condition he broke in to a sweat. He'd lost the initiative and now had to react to the Jedi's movements. Releasing his Charric immediately both his hands swung to his equipment. One ripping his vibroblade from its sheath and swinging it around in to a guard position. Against two weapons he'd have to keep his distance. The other pulling a flash grenade from his belt, activating it to detonate on impact and throwing it a meter to his front in one smooth, well trained motion. His speed enhanced by his armour he prepared to fight the Jedi even as the explosive detonated his AI having been linked to it shut down his helmet's sensory feed. Enclosing him for the milli-seconds of detonation in a black bubble of silence. Deadly but for the brilliant light and epic bang that lit up the outside world at his feet. Upon everything brightening again as the flash shorted out the AI's sensors and the dampening ended, returning him to a world ringing from the explosion of his explosive, his AI needed to reboot and diagnose itself but thankfully it didn't control the powered state of his suit otherwise he'd have been in a world of hurt. So it was just him against the Jedi now. He needed to close the gap and enclose the Jedi in the bubble of non-force as quickly as possible. Letting loose an Imperial Battlecry he charged. Vibroblade now held in an aggressive stance. ((2))
  8. Special Operations were well trained in how their enemies fought. They knew the capabilities and tactics of the force user. Especially the Jedi force user, almost as well as they knew their own. Even so sometimes he still had his breath taken away on occasion. Like when his opponent, after minutes of silence split in to three. Jazce braced himself, a bolt of fear going through him. Command had promised the Ysalamir would keep the Jedi out of his head! It seemed they had been wrong. This would be a suicide mission if that was the case. But then, when they nodded and Jazce prepped for the worst, they ran. Splitting in to three different directions. Was it possible? Even with his tactically horrible move the Jedi still wasn't fully aware of his location. For a moment the Stormtrooper was confused. If the Jedi was in his head he'd know where Jazce was so why run away? Unless... It was either some tactical move of untold brilliance on Darkfire's part of the Jedi really didn't know where he was and the illusions were physical not mental. That calmed him down. That was good. It spoke of an over-reliance on the force and not ones natural senses. He could use that to his advantage. He would have to. He was trained to leap on any weakness and in this fight he'd need every advantage he could get. He decided to go with a traditional attack. Four phases. But before them, reconnaissance. Hunkering back down he needed to use precious seconds to find his true target. He used the Spy's Delight to play back the last few seconds of activity from his helmet feed. Watching the now three targets he enhanced the visual. Looking for any differences. Only one was real. Only one could be. Somewhere in the illusion was an imperfection. Somewhere. But where? This Jedi was clearly more powerful than others. He'd never seen Jedi form actual, perfect physical illusions before. The dynamics were far more complex than mental delusions. The little of force dynamics his instructors had managed to impart. But they weren't perfect. At least he hoped not. He enhanced his audio feed. He could hear a mouse fart at a hundred meters. He'd also see the puff of heat through his thermals. What he didn't hear was footsteps from two of the targets. A grin spread across his cool air-conditioned face. He enhanced the visual even more. Concentrating on the feet. Two of those targets didn't leave trace of passage. Suggesting no weight being transferred. Physics at play. They also lacked proper thermal readings for a person. In this damp environment it was even easier to tell than normal. He had his fakes. He had his target. Phase one. The Advance to Contact. He knew the Jedi would be draining his resources on those illusions. So he wasn't in a huge rush to get close but he also knew that he couldn't afford to wait or the Jedi could formulate a battle plan to counter his Ysalamir. Or worse. Escape. He needed to get close. If he managed that, all the Jedi was, was an old man with a big stick.... Made out of light and energy and capable of slicing him to shreds with barely a hitch wielded by a man with vast stores of experience, almost inhuman physical conditioning and desperation onside. The same as him actually. Except he didn't have the fancy sword and wasn't covered in wrinkles. But how to do it? Random blaster fire wouldn't work. The Jedi would find a way to reflect one of those shots back at him and his armour was only powered, not powerful. It gave him access to tools far beyond the regular soldier. With his AI linked to the Spy's Delight it was a formidable weapon. Advanced electronics, supplemented physical capabilities, increased sensory capacity, weapon co-ordination and last but certainly not the least an air conditioner. To name a few anyway. The ability to fight on the field from a position that was not only a cool and well padded environment but also an unrivalled fighting platform was true civilisation. It wasn't resistant to lightsabers though. Some of his weapons were but his Armour was flawed in that aspect. He'd have to fix it. Maybe talk to the CQ about getting some better materials. He took a moment to formulate a plan. Another valuable few seconds out of those he'd already taken. He needed to move fast or the Jedi would have the initiative. Using the in-built head scratcher.. Just because he could he began judging the distance between him and his target. He looked at his own position and found a suitable spot, planting his ARC-9965 carefully adjusting and supporting the position. Giving it a small test before he pushed back from his position, moving till he was below visual before he started moving properly. Moving as low and as quietly as possible considering what he was stalking through, keeping his steps uneven from length, to weight to speed he activated his link to the rifle, and also to some of his grenades. He prepared both his pistols and loosened his vibroblade in its sheath. It was time to see what two Master's of their respective arts could do. The Jedi would have enhanced senses but Jazce hoped his own natural stealth plus the environment would shield him. Either way his next move would definitely help. He took a flash grenade out even as he drew his Charric and then sent the signal. Phase two, the firefight. Back at his old position the rifle opened up on the pile of speeder parts, linked to his helmet. On a fixed line the only difference between shots was the slight jump and shake of the position. It was only a matter of time before it degraded and fell. Irrelevant. The rifle was only going to be useful in the first few seconds as a distraction. Jazce rose instantly, the noise of the blaster fire hopefully covering anything he made as moved forward far louder than before, lobbing the flash in to the pile, it was linked to his AI, his suit would shield him from the detonation as it would control the blast pattern. He was still a little distance off. Only having covered maybe a quarter of the distance between the two of them but it was well within range, raising the Charric he unleashed a hail of fire from his new position, he'd moved around into an L. With any luck his rifle would have distracted the Jedi long enough for Jazce to get the jump. ((1))
  9. If your story is that of the good guy I will revert to my original nature. http://forums.jedi.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=43541 I will be equipped as per my character sheet as well. Story and positioning post as you wanted the first post. Lets have some fun --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The lone Imperial Special Operations trooper wasn't sure why he had been sent to this murky ruin. Some decrepit, stinking planet far from any tactical or commercial areas of any description. A relic of a war from a bygone era. A soldier of his merit might as well have been sent to Tatooine, it amounted to the same curse. But here he was, orders coming in from the very top. He didn't know who or why but he had been ordered here loaded for the fight of his life but here he was. His helmet filtering out the worst of the stink, this particular area wasn't so bad but his air well filtered yet still with a trace of corruption. Stalking through the terrain his armour no longer white but covered in Swamp filth to better camouflage him. The dirtied Power-Suit with imbedded Ysalamiri capsule would keep him hidden from the force as well as visual. Suddenly the AI attached to Spy's Delight became active. Motion detected, someone was nearby. His senses sharpening Jazce got low to the ground. Inching forward he considered his next move. He didn't want to encounter any Rakghouls but according to his HUD and suit sensors it wasn't the right profile. Human perhaps He doubted anyone would be here just at random. Moving in to the ruins of a tower he shifted around a puddle of slime, it was probably toxic. He didn't need that on his suit. Waiting he spied the target from afar. Using visual enhancers to identify his encounter. Human, male, older, dress... Distinctly Jedi. Concentrating on the face it was only moments before his AI sung out. Aryian Darkfire. Jedi Master. Enemy to the Empire. This was it. This was his mission. The man had returned to the scene of his crime. In a move completely opposite all his training and instinct he rose. Stepping forward. His voice enhanced by the suit. It wasn't normal to challenge a Jedi openly. It was in fact considered suicide by most of his brethren. But Jazce wasn't like them. He didn't just blindly follow orders then even more blindly fire. He had his own sense of Honour. He wouldn't kill this Jedi from the shadows. Either way the terrain wasn't suited to him. Too much stuff for the Jedi to throw at him. His only chance was to close to hand-to-hand. "Jedi Darkfire. You are a traitor to the Empire and will surrender immediately or I will face the Emperor's Justice. Lay down your arms and I promise you a swift and painless end."
  10. (Trying to post take 3 ) Jazce shook his head as the Sith moved away, probably heading back to wherever he came from. "What the ace is his problem?" The CoreSec LT said to himself. He didn't know much about the force but he certainly knew that he wasn't its greatest fan. He felt odd around these people. Almost like he was feeling other peoples emotions. There was something about that particular man. Vos Jazce was pretty sure his name was that rubbed him the wrong way above all of that. "Remind me to wear my special combat suit around that guy." He muttered to himself again before turning back to Adenna. "Alright Jedi Alluyen. I need to kack up and submit a report on this 'Raid' and I also need to start looking into your missing padawan and trying to track her down not through the use of hocus pocus magic tricks and aggressive attitudes. I'd invite you to fly with me on a ship that isn't most likely a rustbucket bought cheap on a planet owned by slavers up until a few hours ago but I suspect you won't like my decor. The offer is open however." Few force users did. "You can raise me on comms at any time me, the droid are going to get to work until you're ready to leave. Then we'll follow your lead. Until next time Jedi Alluyen." He offered a nod, with all his injuries it was as much as he could manage. He'd probably have a bacta bath when he got on board the Everready, he rather needed one. making his way through the rubble and destruction of left behind in the wake of the battle he made a mental note to request Coruscant aid in fixing up this situation. If perhaps the Galactic Alliance helped restore this place they would reconsider the neutrality issue. Putting his helmet back on his link with HK re-established he started the reporting process. First gathering all relevant data. The AI would take care of most of it, he would review it and put in personal input. HK was a well tuned machine and his AI was perhaps better then most of those analyst geeks back on 000. Ignoring an itching feeling from the back of his head the CoreSec LT continued to limp towards his ship when a new sound came to his attention. Blaster fire. Turning he frowned in the direction of one of the hangars. That itching feeling only getting stronger. As he watched a ship blasted off from the hangar. His eyes narrowed. His helmet recorded everything but he made sure to concentrate on that ship. He also sent a message to the CoreSec elements still orbital to do what they could in tracking it and gathering more information. This would go in the report. Shaking his head as a squad of CoreSec officers ran past Jazce continued on his way. Coming to the Everready he admired the ship for a second. Perfectly designed for undercover work. Even as he boarded it he felt more comfortable, the constant itching dissipated, and edgy feeling faded. He felt better. With a sigh he sat down in the main cabin, HK shuffling around doing his thing. A short while later the report finished Jazce transmitted it to 000.
  11. Jazce didn't need long to think about it. Back on 000 he was likely to be in a great deal of trouble for leading an all out assault on an unaligned planet's 'official' government. Even if slavery was not condoned in the Galactic Alliance the GA didn't try to quote to neutrals how they had to act. They simply tried to maintain control of their space. "In all honestly none of us expected anything like this. I'm going to put in the recommendation that we create a more large-scale type taskforce designed to deal with operations similar to this in the future. I doubt it'll fly with the Senate but at least Commissioner Fett and perhaps The Faceless Man should see some sense to it. The third Commissioner I haven't seen in a while... Regardless this situation is what it is." Turning he signalled HK. The droid trundled off to prepare the Everready which had after the fighting finished come down to the surface to assist evac the wounded. Waving to Tomas he made a mental note to get in touch with the man later. They had much to discuss. "I will assist you Jedi Alluyen. Not to hide. I will claim responsibility for my actions. But only after we rescue your young padawan from a fate fare worse than death. Your... Sith apprentice friend is right however. We need to get a move on. I can raise the fleet and go through local records to determine the ship that escaped and a vector which will give us roughly a few hundred planets if they went straight too. Otherwise we do it the hard way. Me and the droid scan through the databases. Dredge up as much information on this ship as possible and see if we get any hits from any of them."
  12. "Haha don't be naive Jedi Alluyen. No-one for a second is even going to consider the implications of the Galactic Disarmament Treaty on situations like this. They won't even entertain the thought that had it not been done this would have been over quicker. What they will say is I led an attack on the Slavers at the request of the Jedi. Casualties were high on our side and for local civilians and that Slaver ships escaped. Its all politics. Someone will more than likely use me as the fall guy so they can claim the credit without catching the flak. It was the right thing to do for the person who thinks they can claim the most political clout out of it." "I don't know about the Rebels but the Imperial Fleet certainly would have cleared up this situation with a great deal of ease. A single Star Destroyer in orbit or a Vic in the atmosphere. Precision fire support using Ion cannons instead of turbolasers and our own Armour supported by Stormtroopers. I'm not saying the slavers wouldn't have started killing slaves. But they would have known there was never going to be a chance of them winning. They may have surrendered or even fled." It was a bitter, pessimistic truth but a truth nevertheless. Even were the politicians not to descend on him chances were one of the Commissioners would have serious words with him. He hadn't expected the level of bloodshed here, and the slaver's brutal execution of the slaves only made it worse. His only hope was that only he was targeted, the Galaxy didn't need another reason to hate force users but if someone spun this the right way it could certainly be looked at in that light and raise tensions even further. "Corellia may try whatever they want. But for the moment CoreSec is in charge here and CoreSec's senior officials all still come from Coruscant. Only junior officers are recruited locally. That will change once we've settled in and earned our niche of the Galaxy and I'm not saying Corellia won't try something but you have to hope the Commissioners will step in if they do. Corellians are known for aggressive maneuvers."
  13. Jazce frowned, "Clearly Jedi Alluyen you have the wrong idea. We're CoreSec. Not CorSec. It sounds the same but its different. Core Worlds Security answers to Coruscant and the Senate. Not Corellia. This is the Corellian branch of CoreSec but the government of Corellia has no power here. Only CoreSec. I very much doubt politics will get involved here beyond credit taking and blame laying." Jazce looked to where a shuttle was landing, medics were preparing at least fifty casualties for transportation at this Casualty Collection Point alone. And that was only the worst hurt. He sighed, a touch sadness working its way into his head. Odd. As a Stormtrooper or Assassin he'd never felt emotions like that. It was part of the job. It was all that was the job. These men however were something else entirely. "The loss of life is atrocious and chances are its my head on the block for this operation but some things need to be done. That's why no-one wanted to do it. We're Police. Not an Army. Casualties like this are generally not acceptable. I suspect all the Commanders in this will be under review. It was my call though. My request." He looked back to the Jedi, "As to your Mandalorian friends... I'm not sure. I never went into the Headquarters building. I have no idea where they went as I never saw nor heard report of them outside. The Antarian Rangers might have seen them though. They usually see everything. We can always ask Captain Sairdonga. If they truely weren't in the thick of it anywhere that poses a lot of questions as to what they actually did this whole fight. I saw them earlier on my way in and they did have battle scoring on their Armour."
  14. Jazce's return to consciousness was heralded by a wave of pain, groaning the CoreSec agent opened his eyes. His visor flickered dully, damage reports floating around above his eyes. His head felt like it was getting torn apart by a trandoshan's bare hands. Made sense now. His skull was cracked and whilst the suit had started basic medical treatment it was too damaged to be particularly effective. Focusing past the damage reports and scattered information logs he looked around him. Rubble. He was buried alive. Wonderful. Swearing he began systematically checking his body. Completely pinned. The only reason he wasn't dead was due to his armour surviving impact and the rocks of the building not being heavy enough to crush him. He thought back to his last moments of consciousness before, Four standing by a wall shrugging, about to say something when the entire wall exploded in, clearly someone outside the building had seen fit to shoot it with something explosive. The rest of the footage was just rubble and dust raining with changed lifesigns from Jazce and an emergency beacon activated. That was almost half an hour ago. Medical procedures had been begun as well, pain-relief as well as trauma reduction and isolation. Jazce was lucky his suit had acted or it could have been far far worse. Returning to his present situation he began scanning for nearby life-signs. A group was directly above him less than a foot and if records were to judge by they were tunnelling directly towards him. He had only been a meter down at worst scenario anyway. A short while later hands pulled off the last of the rubble laying atop his helmet, brushing away the grit. "Surly I found him! Sir are you alright?" Jazce grimaced under his helmet. Seemed a fairly pointless question to a man found buried under a small building, "Fractured skull, broken left arm, several broken ribs. Legs are all kind of stressed but in one piece as is thankfully my back and right arm. No internal injuries sustained. I'm stuck here pretty good though. can't move." The soldier nodded, waving over some more of the searchers who quickly and carefully cleared Jazce of the rubble. "Sitrep?" He finally asked after being stood up. "Your friend is dead. We found his body first. Spine broken in over a dozen places, shrapnel struck so hard most of his body is torn to shreds. Wider situation is much better. Battle is over and CoreSec is just conducting clean up ops now. Finding casualties, mopping up final resistors and establishing comms with the local authorities. Don't know what the casualty list is but judging by my Company... Big. Commander Kel put out a call for your retrieval and immediate return to HQ by the way." Jazce nodded, thanked the non-com and sent him and his team on their way. There was a lot of clean up to conduct, he was only walking wounded. Didn't need an escort to HQ. Though even as he walked Two and Three appeared to escort him back. It looks like only Four had gotten unlucky today from his team... Their original One as well of course. Making his way to the HQ compound Jazce frowned at what he saw. Two of the Jedi were there (Adenna and Vos) as well as the two main Commanders from the group and a third unknown man wearing local colours. Perhaps a Resistance Leader? Either way Jazce made his way up to Kel and Sairdonga. "Sir, Captain. Whats the situation?" Kel shrugged, "Our one is fairly tightly under control. Biggest thing now is to count casualties and start getting boys back to Corellia. The Jedi however seem to have a bigger issue. One that needs attention. I'll leave that to you since you seem to love Jedi so much Leife. Just so you know two-hundred and twelve Agents are dead or missing. We haven't even taken count of wounded by Priority yet My guess. Another fifty will die before the day is out if we don't get them urgent medical attention upstairs." Jazce winced. Half the Corellian Chapter was gone. In one ugly battle gone. Was the freedom of this peasant planet worth it? He had to hope so. It was the only thing that would keep his head off the chopping block. Turning away from his Chain of Command with a brief nod to Tomas that promised another conversation later he moved to the two Jedi. "Well Jedi Alluyen. There you have it. Your planet is free."
  15. ------ Tomas Sairdonga ------ The floodlight kicking in was only a minor hassle, after a second of blindness the super-futuristic night operating equipment switched off turning into just a pair of vision enhancing goggles that could come in handy once they shot out that floodlight. Luckily for him and his men they'd switched the thing on before they had entered, only Adenna had caught the full effect of the floodlight in the open and she was capable of stopping blaster shots. Streaming in after the Rangers opened fire on the droids, aiming for the visual sensors and weapons of the hardened battle droids. Even so it was a bloody battle with one of his men going down before htey cleaned up the droids. Swearing as he scanned the room he issued the re-org order. He'd hoped not to have to do that this mission but it seemed the Slaver's had prepared for them. One of his Rangers checked the casualty. Still alive. Just. Prior One. Needed to evacuate him as soon as possible. "Three. Grab two and get him out of here. Take him back through the cleared zone to the CCP. Then gather as many as you can find. We need to storm this building." From multiple levels below him he could hear gunfights, screams and explosions from grenados as his men cleared the building. Hopefully those weren't the bad kind of screams. Turning to Adenna he nodded to the door leading to the rest of the floor, "Jedi Alluyen we should keep moving. Before the Slaver's start killing people." With that he shot out the light and darkness returned... ------ Kel ------ The Commander of CoreSec Land Operations smiled grimly. The fight was all but over. Enemy Armour gone. Remaining Infantry either retreating or dead. Plenty holed up in buildings under siege. It was still a bloody fight ahead of them but now it was mop up. They had the advantage. Fighter/Bombers were stepping up their strafing runs on Slaver targets as well. The Space Port, which seemed to be the center of Slaver retreat and resist plans judging by their fall back routes was the worst hit area. On the plus side they'd finally made contact with the local Resistance. The poor fools had charged in and tried to help. But they'd closed with the Armour. The Slaver Armour had cut them to pieces then Overwatch's cannons had blasted the rest to hell. The survivors however had managed to link up with his forces and a leader was being sent to him for further liaising. They were making the street battle a whole lot easier with their knowledge of the ground coming in handy and saving countless lives. They weren't half bad with their weapons either. Maybe CoreSec could recruit some after this. Heck he'd love to try poaching some of those Rangers if he didn't already know it was an exercise in futility. ------ Jazce Leife ------ Jazce ducked around the corner and kicked the twi'lek square in the gut, his dagger seeming to fly from its sheath into the unlucky beings throat. A strangled gasp as the full weight of his doom settled on him and Jazce was past, wrenching the dagger clear he ignored the hot spurt of blood as he flipped it over and flung it, catching the next Slaver in the chest. Not stopping his momentum he dove forward going into a roll and slamming into the dying Slaver's legs who came down in a tangle on top of him. Even as the Slaver fell blaster fire erupted overhead and at least two shots struck the already doomed being. Caught under him as he was Jazce just had to hope his two team members or the Sniper following Terra were able to provide cover for him. Turning under the Slaver he pushed the now lifeless body up, tearing free his dagger and rolling the body to try and keep it between him and the last Slaver. Even as he did so another shot rang out, burning a hole through the Armour on his leg and part of his leg. Grunting at the burst of pain he snarled and shoved the corpse forward even as another flurry opened up overhead and the final assailant died. Wincing as he levered himself into a sitting position he looked around the small room. They'd been moving towards the second location. At first their aim had been a Corvette in the Spaceport but then new Int had come in. Energy signals from some caverns a few klicks away. No big ships were in position to stop that one. Jazce on a funny whim had decided it would be his target. But now it didn't look like he was going anywhere. As Four came over and helped him up Jazce snarled again. That injury whilst not crippling wasn't going to make moving fast easy. It looked like they were going to have to let someone else rescue the Padawan. With any luck anyway. Limping over to where his weapon had been dropped he picked up the rifle. Unbeknownst to him outside the small house they had taken after it opened up on them a rocket team was taking aim, keeping their heads down and out of Three's sight. "That was fun. Lets do it again sometime Four. Only next time you be the bait." Chuckling Four shrugged and opened his mouth. Even as the wall behind him exploded spraying shrapnel chunks everywhere, the impact itself knocked them both to the ground and before Jazce could even utter yet another curse a small chunk of wall slammed violently into his helmet. Putting a sizable dent into it, cracking his skull and knocking him out cold... Darkness. Blessed Darkness. ((Duty calls chaps. I'll be back in about two weeks if this is still going on but until then I guess you're free to retrieve or leave my unconscious self as you see fit.. Not that most people would know about it.))
