JediRP Canon History:

Tython a planet covered in forest, plains, mountains, and oceans. Deep within the Core, Tython was home to the Jedi Order and one of the may claimed birth places of the Jedi along with one of the first Temples. After years had passed, Tython became a forgotten planet, only rediscovered by the once Jedi Grandmaster Kitt Fitt, who repurposed the planet as a place of refuge and respite to the Jedi Order, creating a temple within a blackout zone in the mountain terrain of Tython. Neighboring between two villages, Ashla and Kailkori, the planet is self sustaining seeing little to no trade from outsiders and completely forgotten except by those who now know of it's existence. Outside of the Jedi Order, visitors to the planet had not occurred in over five hundred years.

Jedi Temple: The great Jedi Temple was built with aid of the Force and built within a Mountain. Each floor and foundation was Force embedded into each stone, to better endure attacks made against it. The Temple contained eight levels of rooms and essential needs for a typical Jedi life, as well as some rooms for the unexpected things for Jedi. Throughout the whole Temple were also hidden passages that lead out of the Temple and into the forest. They were designed for cases of when a Jedi might need to run in order to survive.

At the very bottom level of the Temple was a full storage system, holding up to years worth of supplies of food, spare parts, and any other thing that is used to keep a Jedi Temple up and running. The whole floor is also where the waterfall water from the top is collected and poured back out into the lake outside. It also housed the monster turbine that used the water to power the Temple.

The Second level contained a full armory for the Jedi. The armory housed a full wing for building new designs for anything from Lightsabers, armor, and even ships. Further into one of the Chambers also has a water filtration system that allows for the water from the waterfall to flow through it, collecting minerals before it pours out of the Temple again. It also flows through another chamber that contains crystals, purifying them and infusing them with the lightside of the Force.

The Third level was devoted to the Jedi Archives only. One quarter of the library was open to public access, and one quarter was devoted to Jedi Masters only. The other two quarters of the library was open to the rest of the Jedi Order.

The Fourth level was full of training rooms, teaching rooms, auditoriums and holding cells. The holding cells were each designed to withstand Force attacks, as the design is based off of ray shields. While not designed to hold a prisoner forever, they were in fact only for short term holding until the Republic could pick up and transport the prisoner for permanent holding.

The Fifth level held the Mess Hall / Kitchen and Hangar bay for the Jedi Order. The hangar bay was also the housing place of all Jedi Ace Fighters. The Hangar Bay also houses two Star Runners, which are designed to transport Jedi off planet in case of an emergency. The only way ships can enter and exit is through means of a lift, which logs ever take off/entry.

Old description:

A planet in the deep core, Tython is the historical cornerstone of the Jedi Order, home to history's first recorded Force users, going back nearly 36,000 before the Battle of Yavin. The first known Jedi Temple was built here between 36,000 to 25,000 years ago.

Deep within the heart of the forest of Tython lays the Jedi sanctuary. The Enclave sit at the edge of the forest and built upon the clashing of huge rock formations. Its round shaped three level facilities operate with no electronics of any kind; keeping it safe. While not fully hidden from plain sight, only those who have been there or were given direction know where to find its location. It is a place of meditation and study, as most rooms only hold archives or meditation chambers, leaving it worthless to the common thief. While well hidden from all outside knowledge, it is also well known that the forest itself is a blackout zone. No communications can be sent or received while in the forest, as it is also illegal to fly over the forest, as the blackout zone effects operate in the same fashion. Although ancient Jedi have long since traveled to its location, its memory survived in the archives, leaving it still a known place of refugee to Jedi. Many Jedi still come to further and deepen their connection to the Force under the enclaves' security. The enclave itself is three three level rounded facility, which one lonely Jedi statute off the right.

While the Jedi remain the the forest side of things, other beings often find themselves drawn to the planet to find deeper philosophies, find new science and warriors come to further their training in the local facilities and ruins all over the planet, with the core of any form of a capital residing in the former Jedi temple turned government administration office and its surroundings known as Ashla, which is named after the Force that the Jedi serve. Within it still holds rooms and other uses for travelers as points of interest. It is also the only major starport on the planets surface, besides a few independent starports.

((This thread is not for goofing off at. If you don't plan to come 'further' your studies or seek a solitude get away, don't waste a post here. Edited in: A note for Jedi, as stated above, to reach the enclave, you must land in the city of Ashla and walk through the forest to get to it. Also, you must walk back out and head to Ashla to send or receive any sort of transmission.)

(Update, changed the layout of where and what the enclave looked like.)

  • 5 months later...

Kitt stared out as the stars streaked from a pure tunnel of light, into a massive empty space that was only occupied by the ten planets of Tython system in front of him. The goal was Tython itself, as it held some very old archives of the Jedi within the enclave. Slowly plotting the course of the landing point at Ashla. From there, it would be a long walk to the Jedi enclave, as most technology wouldn't work within the blackout zone that was the forest. Turning his head, he touched Galen with the Force, letting him know to be prepared.

Galen set his Starsword down gently. After he finished his post flight checklist, he refueled the tanks and tied down the ship. Tyhton's air tasted crisp and the slight difference in gravity felt, once again, unique. Galen took a moment to admire the area from the airfield. It had been long enough, that his hair had grown back since the incident above Gala. It felt good to not be bundled up in layers of robes for decency. Now he wore nothing but a simple steel blue robe.

Galen grabbed a survival pack from the ship, and followed his master. He was wondering how they were going to build a lightsaber in a place where no technology works.

It was a long quiet walk out of the city Ashla and into the Forest. As they walk, Kitt could feel Galen's mind work over small details of possible lightsaber creation and other things. It seemed to him that for the most part, his Kushiban apprentice was far more along in his training then even Kitt realized. His ability to hold himself calm and understanding was gift that few Jedi Knights even held. Turning his attention away from from his padawan's mindset, he could feel an echo of holocrons not far from where the two walked. The Force was clearly guiding Kitt on his mission to compile a complete archives.

"Do you feel that Galen? We are close."

The words weren't necessary between the two, it was well felt through the Force, and Galen was more then able to feel out such strong currents within the Force. As the two approached the edge of the Forest, the old Jedi sanctuary became slowly evident as they came closer.

A Corellian-model transport appeared from hyperspace, declared the Xanadu by its transponder. Sitting in its pilot seat was Tirius Giovanni, a young businessman that had recently left the workforce on Coruscant when he had learned that he was Force sensitive. He had sought the Jedi Order for training and had learned the basics from a tall cat-like Jedi named Dashel Illioni. However, the Master had mysteriously vanished, and now Tirius was here to seek the instructions of another Master, Kitt Fitt.

Following careful instructions from the Jedi Order, Tirius landed at the city of Ashla. Gathering the few belongings he had brought with him from his home in the core, the young man set out on foot, heading into the forest. He had with him a small blaster and survival knife that he hadn't really used except in optional classes, the lightsaber given to him by Dashel that he hadn't gotten the chance to practice with, a little food and water, and his own city boy wits. Thankfully, he also had a map to the Jedi Enclave which he sought.

At least the walk will be private and give me some time to collect my thoughts, he mused as he stepped into the wilds.

It was a quiet walk up to the old Jedi sanctuary as both Galen and Kitt were in pure amazement of the sight of the facility that it was. Surprisingly, the enclave had gone untouched for over a hundred years by this point. As the two approached the enclave, Kitt pushed his Force presence out, stretching it far. Officially, He didn't know that Tirius Giovanni was now on his way and following them close behind, but he could sense within the Force the need to reach out, and reach out is what he did.

Some time later--it felt like hours--Tirius neared the edge of the forest at last. The trip had been... adventurous, but the skills he had picked up in his life so far, even though he spent most of it on a city-planet, had been adequate to make the trip without any injuries. He found it intensely interesting that the Jedi would build an enclave so deliberately secluded. He had heard the stories, of course, like everyone else in the galaxy, of old Jedi becoming strange mystics that disappeared to hermitages to brood away centuries in meditation. He hadn't really heeded them, for he had always seen Jedi much closer to normal people. But this retreat on Tython helped point him toward what was probably the truth--that even if the stories were hyperbole, seclusion was still ideal for meditation and meditation was essential to growth in the Force.

Reaching out with his newly-developed extra sense, Tirius could make out a couple of distinct Jedi in the area. One of them felt rather powerful, and he figured that was probably Master Fitt. He was certainly getting better at this whole Force thing, he decided, for he was really just developing a sense he had had all along. It was just a little different this time, to think of it as drawing on an energy field instead of using some natural ability.

Now the young man made his way towards that sense of power, hoping to bump into Fitt and pick up his training again as soon as possible.

Galen observed every detail he could of the enclave. He tried to push the force to the back of his mind as he studied his senses. He could hear the wind moving through the alien trees and grasses. There was a crisp and slightly sweet smell on the air. The rocks around the enclave were tall and colored with white in some areas, deep red in others, and pale tan in others still. The light from the local sun set some of the tops of the rock formations a purple tinge.

Galen followed his master into the enclave and past room after room of archives. They finally came upon a meditation room that was spherical in nature. The room was large and the floor gently curved into the walls and the ceiling. There were alcoves built into the wall and they held items of various natures.

Kitt took a moment to examine the very room that he stood in for a moment, losing focus of Galen and all other things as he studied. Dropping to one knee, he closed his eyes and extended his hand, and then placed one hand on the ground itself as he began to feel out through the Force what exactly he was looking for. After a few short minutes went by, he finally opened his eyes. Turning towards Galen, he spoke quietly.

"This room holds much history, both recorded and not."

Looking around, feeling Tirius approach from farther behind, Kitt knew that the time spent on Tython would be shorter then he expected, but longer then what Galen and Tirius had. Knowing that time would be his friend on Tython, he stood up with a smile and looked behind Galen , and then he nodded his head.

"Welcome Padawan. Your instincts have served you very well thus far."

"Master Fitt, I presume."

Tirius had felt the man psychically before he had seen him, a testament to his growing strength even as he practiced on his own. He still couldn't do all the handy things most Jedi could, but he was only beginning to take steps into what he was realizing was a much larger world. These abilities also made him pretty certain that his presumption was correct before receiving an actual response--the man's Force beacon was potent, and something deep within Tirius stirred. He was in the presence of a Master, to be certain.

Now he approached the older man and bowed. "I'm am honored to make your acquaintance," he said. "I was told I might find you here. I seek training in the Jedi ways; I've been taught the very basics, but I am eager to learn much more." His voice was genuine. He was a young man with a mind for study and the will to serve the galaxy as a Jedi Knight. A Jedi Knight. In some ways, Tirius still couldn't believe that he was on this path. It was almost the last place he expected to find himself, and yet such a boon that he could only thank whatever fate led him here.

Perhaps it was something in the air of Tython, or maybe just his own instincts, but Kitt felt compelled to train Tirius the moment he felt his presence through the Force. While he was still training Galen, he also knew that Galen was almost complete with his training. With a soft smile, he spoke in such a manner that welcomed others to feel most comfortable. He wanted to make sure Tirius would stick it out, and be prepared for the journey ahead of him.

"Training under me is something you might find more difficult then under others, as I will make sure that you are fully ready before I send you on to your trials young one."

Kitt folded his arms across his chest as he waited for Tirius to respond. Unlike Tirius, Galen was almost done, and well on his way to becoming a full Jedi Knight, all that remained for him was some in depth lightsaber training, which Kitt hoped to get done while on Tython.

Tirius gave a slight smile in return. "With all due respect, Master, I've never shied from a challenge before," he answered. It was more the truth than Master Fitt likely suspected, too. Tirius had been sent on tasks that would make many back down throughout his life. Maybe a little unusual for your unassuming businessman, but true nonetheless. Maybe it was this lust for challenge that started him down this path towards becoming a Jedi Knight to begin with. Actually, he thought, I'm certain that it was.

And he wasn't here to get only part of full Jedi training, either. Master Fitt implied that many Masters only gave their apprentices what was necessary before sending them out on their own to learn difficult lessons in the field. This approach had some merits--one could not be so sheltered in training that Knighthood became a rude awakening--but if it resulted in the death of the apprentice, it wasn't worth it. Furthermore, Tirius believed that the more instruction he had from an experienced Jedi, the closer he could adhere to their ideals and methodology, two things which were important to him on multiple levels.

Kitt slowly turned his body in such a way that both Galen and Tirius would be able to see him. A slight smile appeared on his face as he knew what both had wished to learn first while here on Tython. To him, it was something estranged that both would be close to if not fully on the same page. But it was for the better he hoped.

"While I can feel through the Force that you both wish to learn a bit more with a lightsaber, I feel a need to hesitate with that part until you can fully understand what it is and for."

Kitt lifted one hand and extended it outward, showing them both the Holocrons that surrounded them.

"As a Jedi, you must be circumspective and try to understand the world that is surrounding you."

Putting his hand down back at his side, but he let his smile remain.

"This applies to even knowledge over lightsaber forms and technique. If you can, find information on both Tython itself, and then whatever lightsaber knowledge that you may find."

Tirius was amused internally, though he made no outward sign that he thought the circumstances were entertaining. He had left Gala to come here, and what he had been doing on Gala when Dashel had disappeared was... research. He was training to become one of the Jedi Knights, a long-lived and proud order of warriors and sages. They were the defenders of peace and justice in the galaxy, and they stood up for those that couldn't stand up for themselves. And yet, a hallmark of his early training here wasn't skills with the Force, combat training with the lightsaber, or even the fundamental ideals of the Jedi Order. It was research.

Not that he had a problem with research. His business background had been full of it. In a way, it was soothing to sit down to the task he had originally chosen for his life, if a bit mundane.

Of course, his perspective that this research would be mundane was washed away when he activated the Holocron. What he found wasn't a simple computer, but an amazing device that he could feel in the Force. Instead of hitting keys to navigate menus, he asked questions. And he began to harvest information about Tython and about lightsabers, the traditional Jedi weapons that helped make them unique.

Tython, as it turned out, was an interesting world. Obviously, it was a deep core world, but also it was labeled the origin of the Jedi Order. That makes sense, Tirius thought, given that the city at which I landed is named Ashla, one name for the side of the Force the Jedi follow. As it was the origin of the Jedi Order, it was also where lightsabers themselves were first built. The Jedi Order had left the world early, but had come back to it apparently a few centuries before the Mandalorian Wars. Their base there lasted a little while, then faded again... and there wasn't much history beyond that.

Still, it was interesting that Tirius was now standing on the original Jedi homeworld. It no doubt meant that there were lightsaber crystals here and everything the Jedi Order would need to survive. Plus, there were no more tarentateks.

Tirius then followed the research to lightsabers, studying a bit about their construction. Perhaps the most interesting part was how they had remained all but exclusive to Jedi and Sith. Evidently it took a connection to the Force to effectively weild the blade in combat, though there were tales of a few stray bounty hunters that had taken the weapons from slain Force users and learned how to use them in a tight spot. Tirius himself was rather fascinated with the weapons, and he looked forward to the chance to train with one.

As the two worked on gathering information that they would both need, Kitt did some searching of his own, looking for any pieces of history and knowledge that might help fill out the archives for the Jedi. It took him some time of rummaging through ruble, as parts of the archives library was falling apart from time itself. While he found nothing of real value to add to the archives completeness, he did find a few scattered parts comlinks from an older age. While the Jedi themselves held no such value over it, Kitt did find it interesting enough to pick up the various parts and examine them closely.

His next stop amongst his searching was the very holocrons themselves, which to the naked eye, wouldn't provide much information on what they contained, even most Jedi wouldn't be able to tell just from looking. The only way for most Jedi to find out the contents would be to activate it, but Kitt didn't need to, as he could merely touch them and find what the general knowledge they contained. The only reason he was able to do such a feat was through Psychometry, a rare Force gift.

At first, he almost passed by a whole section of holocrons due to what the Force told him that most contained, but it was glimmer of something that caught his eye long enough for him to explore a bit more. The glimmer came from behind a holocron, to which it appeared to be some sort of broken piece of another holocron. Curious enough, he reached in to pull it out. Slightly confused as to why such a broken fragment would be carefully placed behind a holocron, he closed his eyes as he dove into Psychometry to find out who and why most wanted to touch and care for such a small fragment of a holocron. It was only then that he found out that he was holding but a fragment of the Codex, the very most secrets of the Jedi. It was rumored to contain such a great amount of information and knowledge that some Jedi broke it into a bunch of fragments and scattered them across the galaxy. Strangely enough that one piece of it would remain on Tython.

He quickly put it away and out of sight within a pouch on his belt and then started to search for more holocrons that could help fill out the Jedi Archives. He took a moment to look back at both Galen and Tirius to see if they would need help, but he quickly figured that they would come to him if they did.

For a bit longer Tirius studied lightsabers. It was an elegant, civilized weapon. He had always been recreationally comfortable with a blaster, but the more time he spent around lightsabers, the more he came to appreciate them. Using a blaster was basically pointing and shooting--there was control to a degree, certainly, but their technology was imperfect. Sometimes they randomly misfired.

A lightsaber, on the other hand, was a known quantity at all times. The blade was easy to control as long as you had the Force because it was weightless (though notoriously difficult if you were not so gifted), and the blade was constant, inevitable. It could be used for attack and defense both. And its weilder commanded the respect of those around him, for the weapon was a symbol perhaps more than it was a tool. It had been associated with the Jedi Order from the beginning here on Tython, and it still was.

Tirius was proud to be in a position to begin learning the traditions of that Order and its weapon, perfected over millenia into what he carried even now in his satchel. Finally he looked up at Master Fitt. "My research is completed, Master," he said before glancing at Galen to see if the other padawan was done.

Kitt turned his head as Tirius spoke. Even now, before the padawan even said anything at all, he could feel his desire to begin something more then research and study. He, much like Galen, longed for something more useful in their minds. Taking a quick glance around at the broken and scattered parts of the holocrons everywhere, he then walked closer to Tirius.

"And now you find yourself in a position to apply your knowledge."

He kept walking, even placing his hand upon Tirius' shoulder and leading him away from Galen. It wasn't because he felt that Galen didn't need to know such things, but in fact, each lesson was different for each Jedi. The lesson that he would teach Galen will be different from the one that Tirius was about to learn.

"For each thing you know about the lightsaber, you must eventually apply it. You have learned history of it, which included details of it. Have you created one before?"

Tirius let himself be led off by the Master. When he was asked a question, he shook his head. "No, Master," he said. "I was given one by Master Illioni, but I have not yet built my own." Honestly, he wasn't sure how that went anyway. Did most Jedi build a lightsaber at the beginning of their training, or did they wait to forge their own until the end, when their knowledge of the Force was at its highest point? He had heard of things going both ways, he realized.

If that was what lay before him, he would be happy to do it. Once he had built his own lightsaber, he would feel like he was really on his way to being a Jedi, like he belonged in their ranks, for the lightsaber was the symbol of the Jedi. To be able to build one meant you were no longer on the outside looking in. Otherwise, everyone would have one.

Kitt slowly walked with Tirius as they began to leave the small archive room that was within the Jedi enclave on Tython and through the many halls of the ancient ruin that once belonged to the Jedi. While Kitt was no fan of ever using his lightsaber, he did find merit in learning how to create and use such a tool of the Jedi.

"Ah, I see. In that case, from here on out, you must begin your own quest to find all the parts that you need to create the tool of the Jedi. Most of the parts are very common, expect for the crystal, which during the very journeys that you take may lead to one that suites you best. However, until such a time when you have all the needed parts, you will use and learn all the necessary requirements of handling the lightsaber with the one that has been given to you."

Kitt finally stopped walking after he was done talking. He had lead Tirius into a small training room that existed for the sole purpose of training Jedi in the ways of Shii-Cho. Much as it was the beginning place of learning the art of the lightsaber for the Jedi of old, it would soon serve as the very same thing for this new young Jedi.

"Do you have any question before I begin to show you the way of the Shii-Cho?"

Shii-Cho, Tirius thought. He remembered that name from the Holocron. It was more commonly called Form I, the basic form upon which all the rest of the forms were built. It was simple, fundamental, but without knowing the fundamentals, one could never expect to learn the intricacies of the advanced forms. Tirius was a very patient man--more patient than most humans--and he of all people could understand the importance of learning the basics.

As a result, he found himself without any questions. He knew what it was that he was about to learn, he knew why it was important, and he had a lightsaber that would help him to do it. So he gave a simple shake of his head, pulled his lightsaber out of his satchel and dropped the bag on the floor, then placed his feet in a natural combat stance. He seemed to pick the stance carefully, like he was thinking about what an appropriate stance would entail, but it was clear to a trained observer that it was imperfect--his feet were a little too far apart, perhaps. At any rate, he clearly didn't have any lightsaber training.

Finally, he knew that the most important part of learning a lightsaber form was the Force. Dipping into it as he had been trained to do and had practiced much since then, Tiris let the power of the Jedi flow through him as he thumbed on the blade. It sprung to life, a vibrant green. "My mind is open, Master," he said. "Teach me."

Kitt in turn also placed his hilt within his hand, igniting the blue blade before Tirius. However, instead of simply holding it at the ready, he used the Force to lift it in the air, having it make a very slow spiraling turn.

"As a Jedi, the lightsaber is apart of who a Jedi is. It should flow with a Jedi as much as a part of the arm does. Before I can teach you anything, you must learn to know the feel of the tool. Study it, but as you do, keep yourself open to the Force, let it be a constant flow through you."

As he finished talking, the lightsaber stopped spiraling, and as it returned to Kitt's hand, it also deactivated itself before it even touched the Jedi Master's hand.

Tirius watched Fitt's lightsaber spiral slowly through the air, then took a deep breath and let it out. He hadn't actually been taught telekinesis yet, but the theory was pretty simple. He knew how to touch the Force, and he knew that, in theory, all he had to do was visualize the action and it would take place, as long as he believed that it would. In that respect, he didn't see any reason why he couldn't use that power. He had already seen the effects of the Force in strange things that had happened in his past, so he had no doubt that it was powerful... and it was with him.

Letting the Force flow through him as well as he could, Tirius examined his weapon on a much deeper level than he had before. Instead of just looking at it as a metal cylinder that housed the necessary components to produce an energy loop that also happened to be the symbol of the Jedi Order, he actually noticed things about it. The surface details, yes, but also, through the Force, its interior. He felt how things were perfectly aligned, even beyond his comprehension. It was the work of the Force to create such a weapon and it could not be replicated by hand or by machine.

And then he let go of the weapon, but willed it to remain stationary where he had been holding it. It did. Of course it did... he thought, refusing to be surprised. I've seen the Force act in marvelous ways. Why shouldn't it hold my lightsaber now?

Suddenly the galaxy was less real. One was raised from birth with respect for a series of natural laws. Gravity, thermodynamics, inertia, entropy, resistance. But if the Force governed these things, governed nature, then why should it be bound by these... devices? They were rules, but rules could be broken. All rules could be broken.

Tirius looked at Master Fitt and smiled. The lightsaber didn't even waver. "I get it," he said.

Silence... Solace...

Breathing...

A lone figure sat amongst the plentiful trees of Tython breathing heavily, his mind focused keenly on the objects about his root-like perch. The objects amongst him held no great significance, but as the figure's focus grew, the objects about him began to float into the air and soar about him in a varied series of patterned movements. His hands were still, one metal and the other flesh, pushing into one another gently and following the movements of his chest. His simple clothing, weathered from days of travel, was nothing to marvel at, but it served his needs as much as he needed. After all what were fancy garments if not a deliberation for which one must have a specific occasion? The woods were no such occasion for formal etiquette and drew none from the Cerean as he sat.

Aside the meditating figure lay a bag of crystals and a broken wooden staff holding much wear in its archaic frail. The crystals that slowly seemed to roll out of the bag and onto the cold ground were very pretty and gleamed in the light that graced them, peering through the trees to absorb their beauty. One of the crystals was purple and held a very articulate yet raw sheen that held it into the form of a very chaotic teardrop. The other crystal, although innately not diverse in its color or shape, glowed slightly as the Cerean continued his steady meditation and exercise.

Seeking to remain just a hymn within existence however, the Cerean sought to mask his force identity faintly. Judging by the history of this planet such a though of hiding was apparent, but since his level of force skill was still lower than a knight's he could only project a small enough screen to create the illusion that he wasn't there....

Kitt slightly lowered his head in acknowledgement for Tirius. He was indeed a good learner, able to pick up on all the quiet things that the Force would whisper. As it became very clear to Kitt that Tirius was understanding what exactly he was trying to teach, he reactivated his own lightsaber. He then slowly moved towards Tirius to start off a spare between the two.

"We will engage each other in a spare. I will start off slow so that you can fully learn to full extent of what is involved with mastering the tool of the Jedi."

Kitt just stood still until Tirius made a signal that he was ready. He could already tell that the padawan was hesitant to spare off against a Jedi Master. If he only knew that Kitt was only slightly better then he was as far as skills go, his thinking might change.

A spar with a Jedi Master, eh? Tirius thought. It meant that things were getting more exciting, certainly, even if that wasn't one of his goals in this process. He knew a thing or two about sparring, but it would be a very instructive process for Fitt, he was sure. While he might have picked up a few concepts from books and maybe a recreational class or two a few years in the past, he didn't expect that to match up to real experience. Who knows what opponents this Jedi Master had battled?

Presently the padawan again grasped his lightsaber and nodded at his Master, then began with an attack. He sort of forgot how light the blade was, and the attack was a bit wild, but he quickly stepped back and recovered. I forgot to use the Force! he realized. Calming himself down again, he drew on the energy field, and suddenly the world seemed clearer, the blade not a weapon but an extension of himself.

This time when he attacked, it was a graceful swing and he disengaged to throw off the most likely parry. A simple technique, but a timeless one that, if successful, made the defender look like an idiot who couldn't block a single simple attack. Of course, Tirius didn't expect Master Fitt to turn out to be an idiot, so he was already looking into the Force, trying to sense where he should move to parry the inevitable counterattack.

Kitt understood before he even began to spare with Tirius, that teaching him the ways of using a lightsaber would take some patience and grace. With each step and turn that he and his now apprentice took, it seemed very clear that the Force itself was present to allow Tirius to learn the ways of using a lightsaber.

"Remember to stay focused on each move that I make, the precognition that the Force gives you should be enough to see each move as they come. Do not spend time worrying about them though. You must be able to see me and all my movements as they happen."

Even as the two Jedi spent the spare within the Shii-Cho, the raw movements of each step told Kitt that both were a far ways away from actually mastering it, as it could flow just like any other form once mastered. Taking a step forward at Tirius, he brought his blade down his 6 zone, which was Tirius' left leg, but even as he went down in the wild and clear motion, Kitt had already prepared to make a spin around and throw his blade high at his head. Kitt wasn't worried about hurting Tirius, as the blades were set on low power, and while the padawan might not see it coming, his skills would allow for him to at least find a maneuver away from it.

Tirius knew the correct parry for Master Fitt's attack toward his leg and he executed it by rotating his wrist so his blade swept before his body, then out at just enough of an angle to keep such an attack from hitting him. The advantage of the parry was that his blade would be inside the Jedi Master's, which would enable him to riposte effectively. However, things didn't go exactly as he had imagined, and only thanks to a warning through the Force did he have time to react when his opponent's blade suddenly leapt toward his head.

The disadvantage with his chosen parry was that he would have to bring his blade all the way back in front of his body in a full arc to get it high enough to block the next attack, so he skipped that step altogether and leaned left in a move that was probably a little too close to a flinch to look canny. Regardless, the blade missed his head and he brought his lightsaber around in a low-to-high, left-to-right sweep, which now came from the opposite side of Fitt's body that the Master's lightsaber was, making him similarly unable to parry unless he was extremely fast.

As all this happened, Tirius focused on what Fitt was saying. He was already beginning to feel what the Force was telling him about this fight, and he imagined its messages would be even more clear in a real combat situation, whereas in this one the stakes weren't exactly dire. He was also searching his brain for everything else he knew about this form of combat, which wasn't alot. He thought he had heard once about two rings of defense and seven or so different body zones, but he didn't remember the details. Either Fitt was going to have to teach him, he would intuit the instruction through experience, or he needed to sit down again with that Holocron....

Focus...

Meditation...

Connection...

Roene sat solemnly upon a rather large log that he had moved to earlier in the day; the light of the hour seemed to be dimming and the Cerean's strength waning, but he was determined to push his skills until he was sufficiently content on his progress...

Inhale...

Exhale...

Bright lights of blue illuminated his sight as each neuron of his brain lit up in unison. Everything the Cerean could see was composed of a brilliant blue and branched off into other figures that filled with a hot blue magma that flowed beneath a paper thin vernier. The flow of his thoughts echoed the flow of the natural energies around him and as he followed their path he began to move his own body from the ground. A large amount of stress built upon the Cerean's head as he focused intently on the beautiful swelling energy and as sweat poured down his large head, he drew a hard breath once more from his relaxed posture.

Nearby, the Cerean's Kasha crystal glowed in unison and began to float as well, as if its energies were of some link toward Roene's thoughts and movement. The focus brought on by its agitated warmth drew the Cerean ever further until the tips of his toes in his cross legged position, touched the bottom sprig of the nearest tree.

Then, with careful adjustment and another strong, consistent stream of sweat, the Cerean slowly moved his figure through the trees with a rather formidable glide. This energy filled flourish, that emanated in his cold sight through a surge of blue fire, wasn't effortless and although it appeared of great ease, the Cerean soon became exhausted and slowly levitated himself from his position about 6 feet off the ground until his feet touched softly upon the grass. Each blade filled the Cerean's feet with a welcome comfort and the cool sensation only brought him continued ease. Tython, as the settlement of Ashla called it, was his home for one standard year and the Cerean felt as comfortable within the force as he did one the ground of this lush bio haven.

He sought no one and hadn't interacted with too many people aside from the occasional band of travelers who weaved through the forest on their own journeys to force enlightenment.

The Cerean knew there was a temple here on the other side of the trees, but he hadn't the slightest inclination as yet to travel all the way there for something that could just as easily be gained anywhere on the planets surface.

Sweat rolled down Roene's face with renewed haste as he enjoyed more sights of the force and its took of its sensory wonders, expanding his mind to further lengths than he thought possible. The brim of the Cerean's consciousness lay further than he cared to imagine and although he cared for maintaining this spectacular sensation, his exhaustion pushed him to let go.

Roene wasn't a knight or master; his endurance would come in time, but he'd train on his own until he found a provocative alternative.

For a moment, as the colors of the world sunk below his conscious capabilities and the Cerean's eyes began to close, he let out a small pulse of force energy to see if anyone happened to be listening at the time.

Kitt took a moment to take a step backwards, away from Tirius and the clear untrained swings that both were taking at each other. Lowering his blue blade only slightly, he spoke in a tone that echoed patience.

"Quiet your mind. Find your calm center. At this very moment, while engaged in any form of combat, you must remember the Jedi Code. Then, and only then will you find what you need to recall what you have learned."

It was truth. Kitt could feel that Tirius was searching his mind, doing his best to find the material that he had just read over. Other Jedi Masters might have explained it through, but Kitt knew that some needed to experience it before they could fully learn it. He would need to have peace, knowledge, serenity, harmony, and even the Force join up in this spar for everything to become clear.

Kitt took a step to the side, holding his blade up higher now, defending his upper body against any form of attack, while he doubted that Tirius would, it was still better to be prepared. It was as Kirlocca and Aryian had taught him about lightsaber combat. As he slowly circled Tirius, Kitt suddenly jumped through the air, taking a Falling Leaf strike at Tirius, hoping that by this point, the Jedi Code was sinking in.
