Clothing or Armor: Has a pretty large wardrobe of a variety of outfits. One of her favorite outfits is brown cargo pants and a navy blue top with a light jacket over it. Mandalorian beskar'gam armor: Her jacket and pants are an olive green, and her plates are striped with green, a goldish tan, and a rusty red (similar to this or to this). She normally wears a tan cape over it all so that draped behind her back, and pairs it with practical brown boots that had a mag-clamp feature. Her belt pouches have a few practical items—a line of self-gripping rope, a few ration sticks, a multi-tool, and some spare blaster power packs. Her comlink is hardwired into her buy’ce and her heads-up display is programmed for holomessages as well as an audio link if she wishes.

Weapon: a pair of blasters, a few grenades when in armor, along with a flamethrower attached to the armor

Known Skills: she knows some VERY basic telekenesis. She's never had any formal training, just bits here and there, and it's flavored Dathomiri. At this point, she doesn't intend to seek Force training.

 

Background: Mellanie is the daughter of Link CEO and Dathomiri Witch Zara Nargal, and Jedi Knight and former Galactic Alliance Chief of State Sabian Devanus. She is on good terms with both of her parents. Although she was raised by Zara, she visited Sabian as much as she could growing up, and stayed with him for the occasional weekend. She's one of the only people who had complete access to the Chief of State. He's very supportive of her, even if he wasn't around a lot when she was growing up. She's never really understood why her parents split up.

 

As the daughter of two Force-users, she's very strong in the Force, moreso than even her older twin siblings Kane and Kalyani. She's not particularly interested in pursing training outside of the basics she's been taught while growing up. In her opinion, the Jedi live lives that are too complicated and she doesn't want to sacrifice herself for the good of the galaxy like the Jedi have to do. Her Force-use is limited to the occasional telekenetic act and danger sense, although neither are refined.

 

Regarding the Link: She's got a decent sense of how the business runs, having spent a lot of time in her mother's or godmother's (Brina Thalin) offices. She is being groomed to take over the business, but she's never really been a fan of that. She does it mostly out of duty. She prefers being outdoors, getting her hands dirty. She also enjoys mechanics, having spent a lot of time with her godmother on the Crazy Mynock tinkering.

 

She's been raised well-off but not snobby. Zara and Brina instilled in her the value of hard work, and never spoiled her. When she wants something, she has to earn it.

 

Mellanie enjoys studying other cultures, although she's never felt much kinship with her mother's Dathomiri clan. She finds them insular and snobbish, especially as they viewed Zara and her children as outsiders simply because her mother wanted to be part of the wider galaxy. But she did enjoy the "camping" type feel of life on Dathomir.

 

Mellanie inherited a strong sense of compassion from her father, but at the same time, she's tough and very black-and-white. This means that her normal response is tough love.

 

Despite her general tomboy-ish attitude, she has a weakness for sparkly things, particularly gemstones.

 

The most important person in her life is Araac Vevut. Vevut was a Mandalorian hired by the Link as a personal bodyguard for Mellanie during a particular incident with Black Sun when Mellanie was 16. They went into hiding, and as is not-uncommon, the physical and emotional closeness that occurred during this time caused them to fall in love. Once the job was over, Mellanie implored Araac to stay around, and got him a job working as Link security. They've been dating for two years, and during that time, Mellanie has learned all about the Mandalorian culture, and even started learning Mando'a.

 

In Mandalorian culture, they could have already been married, but Zara wanted Mellanie to wait until she was at least 18, knowing that teen romances can sometimes end. But their bond has only grown stronger, and now Araac is planning to bring Mellanie to Mandalore to meet his family and clan for the first time.

 

Mellanie arrived on Mandalore just in time for war to erupt. She decided to stay and fight, and during the battle with the Sith Lord Ab'ki and her forces, Mellanie lost her left arm from the bicep down.

 

After the fighting, she and Araac were married and she decided to join the Mandalorian Protectors and fully embrace her new culture.
